    What url encoding a web browser uses while submitting data to server? with my application i use HttpUtility.UrlEncode(string data) but do not get result as i get with web browser. My application submit some text data to forum. When i am submitting data with web browser (Google Chrome) the exact text i can see submitted to server but when i am submitting using my application it showing some character different. So is this necessary to submit any data to server must be url encoded?

  • svn for emacs: how do you set author name and save password

    I can't seem to find this on google anywhere. I am trying to move to emacs from eclipse but I can't for the life of me figure out how to set my svn author name so it doesn't default the author name OR save the password so I don't have to type it in any each time.     I've got some code which works fine in IE but unfortunately not in Google Chrome/Firefox. It relies upon calling a click() event on a button from javascript. Reading around it seems that this is an IE specific extension (doh). Is there any way I can do a similar thing in chrome + firefox? Thanks

When I Google "immutable data structures" I get a Wikipedia link to an article on "Persistent data structure" which even goes on to say: such data structures are effectively immutable Which further confuses things for me. Do functional programs rely on persistent data structures or immutable data structures? Or are they always the same thing?

  • php connecting to mysql server(localhost) very slow

    actually its little complicated: summary: the connection to DB is very slow. the page rendering takes around 10 seconds but the last statement on the page is an echo and i can see its output while the page is loading in firefox (IE is same). in google chrome the output becomes visible only when the loading finishes. loading time is approximately the same across browsers. on debugging i found out that its the DB connectivity that is creating problem. the DB was on another machine. to debug further. i deployed the DB on my local machine .. so now the DB connection is at 127.0.0.1 but the connectivity still takes long time. this means that the issue is with APACHE/PHP and not with mysql. but then i deployed my code on another machine which connects to DB remotely.and everything seems fine. basically the application uses couple of mod_rewrite.. but i removed all the .htaccess files and the slow connectivity issue remains.. i installed another APACHE on my machine and used default settings. the connection was still very slow. i added following statements to measure the execution time $stime = microtime(); $stime = explode(" ",$stime); $stime = $stime[1] + $stime[0]; // my code -- it involves connection to DB $mtime = microtime(); $mtime = explode(" ",$mtime); $mtime = $mtime[1] + $mtime[0]; $totaltime = ($mtime - $stime); echo $totaltime; the output is 0.0631899833679 but firebug Net panel shows total loading time of 10-11 seconds. same is the case with google chrome i tried to turn off windows firewall.. connectivity is still slow and i just can't quite find the reason.. i've tried multiple DB servers.. multiple apaches.. nothing seems to be working.. any idea of what might be the problem?

    I am getting an error that says: error: looser throw specifier for 'virtual CPLAT::CP_Window::~CP_Window()' On the destructor, I have never heard of this before and some Google Searches say this might be a GCC 4 problem, which I would not be sure how to work around since I need GCC 4 to build a Universal Binary. My Environment: OS X 10.6, XCode 3.2.2, GCC 4 to build a universal binary. What is the issue?

  • getURL action script 2 and IE 7/8

    I have several flash movies that need to redirect to an external website at the end of the presentation. In any browser (firefox, opera, etc.), getURL("http://www.google.com"); works but in IE versions 7 and 8 it just hangs. I need to use Action Script 2 because I have alot of code that doesn't work in AS 3. Thanks!

At the moment, when the onLocationChanged() method is called, the application stores the current GPS longitude and latitude in a database and calls the animateTo() method to the current position.   • How to install new modes in emacs 23 on OS X?

    I just downloaded the Haskell and J modes off of SourceForge, and I'm having trouble figuring out how to make them interface with emacs 23. Google searches yield detailed instructions for emacs 22, but it looks like changes have been made that make it hard to figure out where I'm supposed to stick the binaries. The internal documentation seems to assume more experience with emacs internals than I currently have, and the problem has resisted solution for several days. Does anyone know how to get these modes up and running?

For some classes, I can find a corresponding implementation by guessing its name, e.g. com.google.gwt.core.client.impl.StringBuilderImpl. But where's the implementation for java.util.Date for example? Where do I find it, and how does GWT find it (via some configuration file?)

  • dotted stroke in <canvas>

    I guess it is not possible to set stroke property such as CSS which is quite easy. With CSS we have dashed, dotted, solid but on canvas when drawing lines/or strokes this doesn't seem to be an option. How have you implemented this? I've seen some examples but they are really long for such a silly function.   • unwanted space before and after nested html table using Internet Explorer 8

    I have an html table nested in an html table cell. I want the nested table to use the full size of the cell it is nested in. When I use firefox or google chrome I get the result I want but when I use Internet Explorer 8 (even if I use td style="height="100%") the height of the nested cell depends on it's content. As a result I get whitespace before and after my nested table.
