• file_get_contents not working

  I am trying to read a file in with file_get_contents () - it's a remote HTTP file, and I've checked the URL and it's fine. Only it doesn't work. More to the point the the error message is the standard Firefox server error: The connection was reset The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading. ... rather than any form of PHP error. It also only took a couple of seconds to come back so it can't be hitting the script runtime limit - any ideas on what is going wrong here? It's PHP 5 on Apache 2, running on Windows btw.

  Is there a way to get the namespace prefix from a class or class instance (an object not XML)? For example, in MXML you could declare something as s:Button or local:MyComponent. Is there some call or approach that will return the "s" or "local" value when given the object? • Is there a way to write a Python script that creates and executes code?

  Is there a way in Python to create Python code inside the Python script and then execute/test it? My function has the following type of form (as an example) def f(n): if n<=3: return [0, 0, 6, 12][n] return 2*f(n-1) - 4*f(n-2) - 5*f(n-3) + 15*f(n-4) But I want to be able to create these kinds of functions dynamically (or any arbitrary function for that matter) and then test their outputs during runtime (as opposed to copying/pasting this function into the script and then manually testing it). Not sure if this makes sense, please ask for elaboration if needed. I've already looked into eval and exec but couldn't get them to work with entire function definitions, just basic statements like 1+2, etc.

  Hello, that's me again. After having problem with estabilishing connection to github.com now I have a problem with next step - pushing. I need to mention, that I am novice at GIT service, and this whole Distributed Subversion Checking Systems world.. I have done git init, then git add *.h and git add *.cpp, but currently git status does not print anything in "# On branch master" section? Previously It was correctly printing whole list of added files, now this list is gone. Nextly, I have executed: git remote add origin https://github.com/mgeeky/disasm.git and error has occured after: git push origin master Username: Password: error: Cannot access URL https://github.com/mgeeky/disasm.git/, return code 22 fatal: git-http-push failed What should I do now? I've tried: git push origin Username: Password: No refs in common and none specified; doing nothing. Perhaps you should specify a branch such as 'master'. Everything up-to-date But it seems to be okey.

• Redmine on Apache2 with Passenger issue

  I installed Redmine and run it in Apache2 with the Passenger module. Apache2 boots, Passenger module gets loaded and the Redmine welcome page is shown, however when trying to login or navigate to other parts of the Redmine site, the browser keeps loading and loading and loading forever, although the Redmine production.log indicates redirects and HTTP 200 codes in the header, so everything seems to work correctly according to the log. I tested in various browsers. Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong? I will add apache configuration and some relevant log snippets from both apache and redmine hereafter. • Excel error "This workbook contains Excel 4.0 macros or Excel 5.0 modules"

  I have a workbook that was protected via the Protect Workbook feature. It was sent to someone else to modify. When they sent it back, it was unprotected and when I try to reprotect it I get this error, "This workbook contains Excel 4.0 macros or Excel 5.0 modules. If you would like to password protect or restrict permission to this document, you need to remove these macros." I looked and there are no new macros in the edited file. The original file contained the same macros and it was able to be write protected, so I'm not sure why the modified file is having a problem. What are common causes and solutions for this error and does it make sense for the modified file to have the error when the original doesn't?

• "Error encountered while BER decoding" in Adobe Acrobat Pro X when applying timestamp

  I have a tedious problem with Acrobat Pro X 10.1.3.23: when I want to apply a timestamp to a document I always get that error. I have configured VeriSign TSA server http://timestamp.verisign.com/scripts/timstamp.dll and it returns that error. I have tried Comodo CA http://timestamp.comodoca.com/authenticode and Aruba https://servizi.arubapec.it/tsa/ngrequest.php but all three returned the same exact error. My PDFs are now signed without a certified timestamp and this is a problem for me. I'm obliged to sign documents and apply a certified timestamp at the same time. This seems to be a common error in Acrobat, but I found no solution to it. Can somebody help me?

  The boring, necessary details: I'm on Snow Leopard running MySQL locally. I'm trying to install the Sphinx engine for MySQL like so: mysql> install plugin sphinx soname 'sphinx.so'; ERROR 1127 (HY000): Can't find symbol '_mysql_plugin_interface_version_' in library I've Googled everywhere and can't seem to find an actual solution to this problem. For example this issue on the Sphinx forums seems unresolved. Someone else also raised this issue with similar results. The first post linked to an O'Reilly article which says: There is a common problem that might occur at this point: ERROR 1127 (HY000): Can't find symbol '_mysql_plugin_interface_version_' in library If you see a message like this, it is likely that you forgot to include the -DMYSQL_DYNAMIC_PLUGIN option when compiling the plugin. Adding this option to the g++ compile line is required to create a dynamically loadable plug-in. But the article ends on that point; I have no idea what this means or how to resolve the issue.

I have the following site and directories for example.com: These need to require SSL: /var/www/example.com/admin /var/www/example.com/order These need to be non-SSL: /var/www/example.com/maps These need to support both: /var/www/example.com/css /var/www/example.com/js /var/www/example.com/img I have two virtual host declarations for the one site in my /sites-available/example.com file; the top one is *:443 the second one is *:80. Since I have two sites, and if a request comes in on 443, the top virtualhost is used, same with the bottom if it's a port 80 request. However, I can't seem to enforce my SSL requirements using SSLRequireSSL because I'm assuming a port 80 request to /admin or /order is not even hitting the *:443 vhost. Should I just Deny All to /order and /admin within the *:80 virtual host so that if you try to request it on 80, you'll get a 403 Forbidden?

  I am attempting to setup Master-Master Replication on two MySQL database servers. I have followed the steps in this guide, but it fails in the middle of Step 4 with SHOW MASTER STATUS; It simply returns an empty set. I get the same 3 errors in both servers' logs. MySQL errors on SQL1: [ERROR] Failed to open the relay log './sql1-relay-bin.000001' (relay_log_pos 4) [ERROR] Could not find target log during relay log initialization [ERROR] Failed to initialize the master info structure MySQL Errors on SQL2: [ERROR] Failed to open the relay log './sql2-relay-bin.000001' (relay_log_pos 4) [ERROR] Could not find target log during relay log initialization [ERROR] Failed to initialize the master info structure The errors make no sense because I'm not referencing those files in any of my configurations. I'm using Ubuntu Server 10.04 x64 and my configuration files are copied below. I don't know where to go from here or how to troubleshoot this. Please help.   The windows iis6 resource kit won't install on Windows 7 (Home Premium) so I copied it from another machine and selfssl.exe is giving me: Failed to generate the cryptographic key: 0x5 I tried the instructions here but am still getting the above error. I'm trying to set the common name of the certificate to a name other than the machine name so I can avoid the certificate errors in the browser. This is a test web application. I know I can just test with the browser errors, but I'd like to mimic real world conditions as much as possible. Is there any other way to generate your own ssl certificates for iis7.5?

  I am planning to use Rackspace cloud services to host a java web application and also run apace for wordpress and trac. What would be a stable operating system to host such an application. My requirements are that the core OS bundle should be minimalistic (so I can install only what I want), consume very little memory and be performant. I would also need it to contain softwares for the common lamp stack, J2EE stack etc. A supported package manager would be lovely. My choices are listed below. • JSF Portlets in Liferay on JBoss

  I'm currently looking at working with and deploying JSF portlets into Liferay 6.0.5, sitting on JBoss 5.1.0. I ran into a lot of trouble trying to port some JSF-y/Seam-y/EJB-y stuff I had lying around, so I thought I'd start simple and work my way up. I could generate generic portlets using the NetBeans Maven archetype for Liferay portlets absolutely fine, but it's rather irrelevant because I wanted JSF portlets I took an example JSF portlet from http://www.liferay.com/downloads/liferay-portal/community-plugins/-/software_catalog/products/5546866 and attempted to deploy into a clean, vanilla installation of Liferay 6.0.5/JBoss 5.1.0 to no avail. The log messages are reproduced at the end of this. This particular example was actually tested for GlassFish and Tomcat, so it's not particularly helpful considering I'm deplying into JBoss.   Okay so maybe that title is a bit confusing but here is what I'm trying to do: I have a subdomain with content at my.example.com I want to set up something like sub.my.example.com This does not seem to work if there is content on my.example.com However if there is not content on the first subdomain it seems that it's okay to CNAME the record to example2.org This is my first real experiance with CNAME so I'm wondering about common errors to check for. my.example.com is an A record and sub.my.example.com is a CNAME EDIT I am managing the DNS though Web Host Manger (WHM) Dns records. The content is at http://vbx.knowconceptdw.net and I'm trying to set a voicemail CNAME to point to http://api.twillio.com at http://voicemail.vbx.knowconceptdw.net

• Asterisk - Trying to use call files to create a conference call between two dynamic numbers

  I'm trying to setup an Asterisk system that will allow me to create a conference call between two dynamic numbers. It seems I can use 'call files' to make Asterisk initiate the call without needing an incoming call - http://www.voip-info.org/tiki-index.php?page=Asterisk+auto-dial+out This example seems to be what I'd need: Channel: SIP/mytrunk/12345678 MaxRetries: 2 RetryTime: 60 WaitTime: 30 Context: callme Extension: 800 Priority: 2 I can generate this file with some scripting language and then place it into the Asterisk Call File folder. The problem I'm having is: How do I call out to two numbers and join them in a conference call? The MeetMe plugin/extension seems to be what I need in terms of conference calling, I'm just unsure as to how I'd use the two together and join them. Also, is it possible to have multiple 2-person conference calls at the same time? Is setting this up as simple as setting aside X amount of 'channels' in the meetme.conf?

• Can´t install OS from usb flash drive

  My previous problem was describe here: Can't boot OS from USB drive, showing black screen with blinking cursor and there are informations about my laptot. So please look there and then read rest here. I changed flash drive and it fix the problem but now when I boot to Ubuntu (or I tried Fedora, it do same) I can´t install system. I click on Install Ubuntu 10.10 I choose language, then on next window I click Forward but it just show waiting cursor and nothing happen (same Fedora). It doesn´t freeze so I can end install and I can take printscreen (when I was taking the screen, cursor was shown as waiting, not normal as in picture, it´s weird). Image where my installation ends I think there is some problem with Disk and Volumes and so. But I used chkdsk from W7 on boot and It said everything all right and I try utility in Ubuntu and check file system and it is all right too.Image with my Disk (Volumes and other things) I hope someone helps me. • install red5 demos via installer or within war file manually

  I'm using Ubuntu 10.10 and installed the red5-server package. I've also downloaded oflaDemo.war file from that address. First I tried to install the oflaDemo via installer, but I couldnt reach the goal. I see the .war file under the /tmp directory, I got stuck with this message: "This may take a couple minutes, please wait". After that, I put the downloaded war file into the /webapps directory and wait 10 minutes as mentioned in red5-common.xml. Unfortunately, nothing changed ... So I decided to extract war file manually. I did this: jar -xvf oflaDemo.war Ok, I see all of the unzipped content under the webapps directory, but how can I preview the demo via a web browser? I really need to make live stream via Red5. Please help me.

• How can I install the latest full version of Canon ZoomBrowser EX without the original CD?

  ZoomBrowser EX comes with Canon cameras. Canon software enigeering team did a really poor job analyzing how people are using the software: people do lose their x-year old CD or do not have it with them when travelling do not have a CD drive at all (very common nowdays) Canon updater from their website does not allow you to install the software if it does not find the original CD in the drive. The question is how do I trick the installer to run on a computer and install the product that I payed for. Currently the latest version is 6.5.1.15 and you can download the updater from Canon website. In fact the updater is just the full installer but it doesn't allow you to install if it doesn't find a previous install or the original CD. Note: In the past I used to save a registry file with registry keys used by it, loading it did allowed me to run the installer but now, with Windows 7 x64 it seams that it doesn't work anymore.

• Basic proxy with OpenSSH, Cygwin, Putty

  I know this is probably a common question, but after looking around for a few hours (on this site and others), I can't find a solution. I'm trying to set up a simple proxy. I already have a server running Windows Server 2008. I've installed Cygwin and have OpenSSH installed. I also have sshd (the openssh daemon) running. Port 22 is forwarded correctly. On my client side I have Putty on a Windows 7 machine. I can successfully open a connection to my server and log in to access the shell. So what do I do next? Do I just name the ports I want tunneled in Putty or do I need to tell my SSH server what to do with those ports? Thanks for the help. Let me know if I left anything out.

• How to add “chapters” or “bookmarks” to movies?

  Is there an easy way to add chapters to existing movie files? Note: Actually, I’m not 100% sure if they’re called “chapters” in video files, but it’s the same concept as DVDs. I assume this differs with the video encoding, but any help at all is progress! I have video files in various formats (although .mov, .mp4, and .m4v are my most common). I’m on Mac OS X, but I posted here (instead of the Apple Q&A) because I figured any answers may be useful to other non-Apple power users. Apple-native, application-based solutions preferred (usability is top of my list). However, command-line programs and utilities that do the job are just as welcome. Please share any indirect-but-related wisdom you may have on this topic. Thanks!
