  I'm trying to extend a RelativeLayout object and include an embedded SurfaceView object that uses a png file in my /res/drawable folder as its background but I keep getting an error in the XML Layout editor.   Hi all, I'm trying to modify the decimal-format of a stylesheet based on certain information of an XML. More exaclty, I've a XML like this <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?> <REPORT> <LANGUAGE>2</LANGUAGE> <MYVALUE>123456.78</MYVALUE> </REPORT> I'm trying to define the decimal format as european if the language is 2, and default otherwse. So I've created the following template <xsl:template match="REPORT"> <xsl:if test="$language=2"> <xsl:decimal-format decimal-separator=',' grouping-separator='.' /> </xsl:if> <xsl:value-of select ="format-number(MYVALUE,'###.###,00')"/> </xsl:template> So it shows the number in european format or in standard format. But I'm getting the following error xsl:decimal-format is not allowed in this position in the stylesheet! If I try to put the decimal-format outside the template, then I get the message that the xsl:if is not allowed in this position in the sthylsheet.   Hi I need to send an email from my app, which will be running under medium trust. My current email sending code that works fine under full trust throws SecurityException under medium trust [SecurityException: Request for the permission of type 'System.Net.Mail.SmtpPermission, System, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' failed.] Examining my machine.config and allied files reveal that my SMTP access is restricted to Connect. <SecurityClass Name="SmtpPermission" Description="System.Net.Mail.SmtpPermission, System, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089"/> and <IPermission class="SmtpPermission" version="1" Access="Connect"/> According to MSDN, Connect allows request on port 25 only. But Gmail servers work on port 587. Any workarounds? suggestions?

This a remote smtp service ... and i double checked that email web access works fine .. i can login using the gui, recieve and send emails. But in eclipse both share a single console. Is there any plugin or some sort of cheat through which I can do this. • sudo taking long time

  On a Ubuntu 9 64bit Linux machine, sudo takes longer time to start. "sudo echo hi" takes 2-3 minutes. strace on sudo tells poll("/etc/pam.d/system-auth", POLLIN) timesout after 5 seconds and there are multiple calls(may be a loop) to same system call (which causes 2-3min delay). Any idea why sudo has to wait for /etc/pam.d/system-auth? Any tunable to make sudo to timeout faster? Thanks Samuel

  Hello good people! :) I want to render parts of a svg file by name but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to do so (using python + gtk). Here's the svg file in question: http://david.bellot.free.fr/svg-cards/files/SVG-cards-2.0.1.tar.gz On his site, David, says: You can draw a card either by rendering the file onto a pixmap and clipping each card manually or by using the card's name through a DOM interface. All cards are embedded into a SVG group. I don't know what he means by a DOM interface. • How do you measure latency in low-latency environments?

  Here's the setup... Your system is receiving a stream of data that contains discrete messages (usually between 32-128 bytes per message). As part of your processing pipeline, each message passes through two physically separate applications which exchange the data using a low-latency approach (such as messaging over UDP) or RDMA and finally to a client via the same mechanism. Assuming you can inject yourself at any level, including wire protocol analysis, what tools and/or techniques would you use to measure the latency of your system. As part of this, I'm assuming that every message that is delivered to the system results in a corresponding (though not equivalent) message being pushed through the system and delivered to the client. The only tool that I've seen on the market like this is TS-Associates TipOff. I'm sure that with the right access you could probably measure the same information using a wire analysis tool (ala wireshark) and the right dissectors, but is this the right approach or are there any commodity solutions that I can use?
