• How do I get git whatchanged to show a combined list of files that have changed?

  I ran the following comand git whatchanged 7c8358e.. --oneline and got the below output. Is there a way to generate a single combined list of files that changed across all commits? In other words, I don't want files to show up more than once in the below list. • How do I create a list or set object in a class in Python?

  For my project, the role of the Lecturer (defined as a class) is to offer projects to students. Project itself is also a class. I have some global dictionaries, keyed by the unique numeric id's for lecturers and projects that map to objects. Thus for the "lecturers" dictionary (currently): lecturer[id] = Lecturer(lec_name, lec_id, max_students) I'm currently reading in a white-space delimited text file that has been generated from a database. I have no direct access to the database so I haven't much say on how the file is formatted. Here's a fictionalised snippet that shows how the text file is structured. Please pardon the cheesiness. 0001 001 "Miyamoto, S." "Even Newer Super Mario Bros" 0002 001 "Miyamoto, S." "Legend of Zelda: Skies of Hyrule" 0003 002 "Molyneux, P." "Project Milo" 0004 002 "Molyneux, P." "Fable III" 0005 003 "Blow, J." "Ponytail" The structure of each line is basically proj_id, lec_id, lec_name, proj_name. Now, I'm currently reading the relevant data into the relevant objects. Thus, proj_id is stored in class Project whereas lec_name is a class Lecturer object, et al. The Lecturer and Project classes are not currently related. However, as I read in each line from the text file, for that line, I wish to read in the project offered by the lecturer into the Lecturer class; I'm already reading the proj_id into the Project class. I'd like to create an object in Lecturer called offered_proj which should be a set or list of the projects offered by that lecturer. Thus whenever, for a line, I read in a new project under the same lec_id, offered_proj will be updated with that project. If I wanted to get display a list of projects offered by a lecturer I'd ideally just want to use print lecturers[lec_id].offered_proj. My Python isn't great and I'd appreciate it if someone could show me a way to do that. I'm not sure if it's better as a set or a list, as well. Update After the advice from Alex Martelli and Oddthinking I went back and made some changes and tried to print the results. So if I try to print for a specific lecturer print lec_id, lecturers[001].offered_proj all I get is the last the proj_id that has been read in.

• Phonegap web view thinks device screen taller than it is - results in offscreen tabbar

  I have a jQTouch application loaded via server, so all I need to do is display the webpage full screen in PhoneGap for a faux-Native app. Unfortunatley each solution I've tried in PhoneGap has an issue: it thinks the screen size is taller than it is. This resuls in the tabbar that is pinned to the bottom being permantly offscreen and there fore unusable. You should be able to recreate this with my code below and going to the iTabbar online demo. Any thoughts on how to correct this issue? For background, going to the app page in iOS safari works fine, as well as saving the page to the home screen. In both cases the webview stops at the bottom of the screen and the tabbar is therefore viewable. Also, I'm using build.phonegap.com to compile (I'm not compiling locally) I've tried two methods: load the childBrowser plugin and call up the page (with navbar hidden via options) set the following config.xml parameter to prevent phonegap from switching to Safari, and then just load the link (preferable as it's cleaner in my mind. • iPhone: Grouped tables and navigation controller issues

  Hi there, I've set up a grouped table on my app, and pushing to new views works fine. Except for one thing. The titles and stack layout are all weird. Here's the breakdown: I have two sections in my table. When I tap on the first row in the first section, it takes me to the correct view, but the title of the new view is the name of the first row in the second section of the table. In turn, the second row in the first section's title is the second row in the second section's title. If I tap on the second row in the second section of the root view table, the navigation button goes to the second row in the first section of the table. So here's a diagram of my table: Table Section 1 Row 1 Row 2 Row 3 Table Section 2 Row A Row B Row C So if I tap on row 3, the title of the pushed view is Row C. The navigation button tells me to go back to Row 3, then eventually ending up at the root view. • Rails 3 - development errors in production mode

  Im using Rails, Passenger (both are 3.0.5) and Nginx on my production server. As I heard, Rails should show public/404.html or public/500.html instead of development errors like ActiveRecord::RecordNotFound or Unknown action but that doesn't happen. I've tried to delete config.ru file and set rack_env or rails_env in nginx.conf but nothing helped. • Passing URL as parameter using mod_rewrite

  I would like to rewrite dynamic URL /index.php?pid=login&redirect=/previous-page.html to something like this /login.html-r-previous-page.html I tried this RewriteRule ^login.html-r-(.*)$ /index.php?pid=login&redirect=$1 [L] But no succes. I was also trying to change the regex to .+ or some other forms, but it seems useless. Maybe I am making mistake somewhere else. I am new to regular expressions and also mod_rewrite.   I want to be able to color lines differently based on the starting character. eg.: - This is line 1 - This is line 2 x This is line 3 - This is line 4 x This is line 5 So lines 1,2,4 (starting with '-') should be blue while lines 3,5 (starting with 'x') should be red. • basic operations for modifying a source document with XSLT

  All the tutorials and examples I've found of XSLT processing seem to assume your destination will be a significantly different format/structure to your source and that you know the structure of the source in advance. I'm struggling with finding out how to perform simple "in-place" modifications to a HTML document without knowing anything else about its existing structure. Could somebody show me a clear example that, given an arbitrary unknown HTML source will: 1.) delete the classname 'foo' from all divs 2.) delete a node if its empty (ie <p></p>) 3.) delete a <p> node if its first child is <br> 4.) add newattr="newvalue" to all H1 5.) replace 'heading' in text nodes with 'title' 6.) wrap all <u> tags in <b> tags (ie, <u>foo</u> -> <b><u>foo</u></b>) 7.) output the transformed document without changing anything else The above examples are the primary types of transform I wish to accomplish. Understanding how to do the above will go a long way towards helping me build more complex transforms. To help clarify/test the examples here is a sample source and output, however I must reiterate that I want to work with arbitrary samples without rewriting the XSLT for each source: <!doctype html> <html> <body> <h1>heading</h1> <p></p> <p><br>line</p> <div class="foo bar"><u>baz</u></div> <p>untouched</p> </body> </html> output: <!doctype html> <html> <body> <h1 newattr="newvalue">title</h1> <div class="bar"><b><u>baz</u></b></div> <p>untouched</p> </body> </html>

  I asked this question yesterday, and at the time it was just what I needed, but while working with some live data I discovered that is wasn't quite doing what I expected. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2571232/parse-html-with-phps-html-domdocument I gets the data from the HTML page, but then it also strips out all the HTML tags inside the captured block of text, which isn't what I want. (I might wan't to take some of the tags out, but not all, and this can be done later)

• Rails caches_page :index in Wrong Location

  I have a controller Projects in my Rails app with: caches_page :index However, instead of the cached file being generated at /public/projects/index.html it is located at /public/projects.html. The web server (currently Mongrel) looks for */ directories before *.html files. So the http://…/projects request is routed through Rails and my index cache file is never served. How can I tell caches_page :index to generate the file at /public/projects/index.html instead?
