  Hi How do I filter noise of the accelerometer data in Android? I would like to create a high-pass filter for my sample data so that I could eliminate low frequency components and focus on the high frequency components. I have read that Kalman filter might be the best candidate for this, but how do I integrate or use this method in my application which will mostly written in Android Java? or can it be done in the first place? or through Android NDK? Is there by any chance that this can be done in real-time? Any idea will be much appreciated. Thank you!

  Hi, I want to integrate paypal with my website. I have studied the documentation available on paypal website. My requirement is A user selects a category, based on category course is populated,user selects course and discount. I want the user to pay through paypal according to the course selected. Also the data should be inserted into a table after successfull payment. I have checked sample code also but i am unable to figure out how to accomplish this task ie how to make it dynamic according to the user choice. I think ipn would be used but not sure.   I tied the iPad the other day, and was amazed about the precision of the geolocalization by ip. Actually there is this action against hunger in the world that shows you very precisely where the persons are located that have took part to this petition: http://www.1billionhungry.org/meodai/impact/ I would like to integrate that in one of my projects. I took a look at the source but i could not figure out how they did it. Can someone help me out? is there a web service for that? Is the google map api doing this or are they using an other service? PS: Its not just the country/region of your IP/ISP IP that the service gives back, its a pretty precise positioning.

Here's more details: We currently host an online plugin gallery for our product. Users can upload and download plugins. But users can't easily collaborate on a plugin's development, can't easily report and track bugs on a plugin, can't easily track a plugin's versions or roadmap, etc. Of course, contributors can host their plugin development on github, sourceforge, google code, codeplex, etc. But keeping users on our website has some advantages. For example: We can use single-sign-on to avoid yet another username/password required we can integrate end-user issue tracking into our existing online issue-tracking systems we can get integrated analytics so we can better meet the needs of top contributors as well as downloaders We can easily reward reputation points to committers just like we do for people who answer lots of questions Anyone know a good solution for white-label sites for open-source project developer collaboration?

• Block all other input to an application and control it from a wrapper in Java

  I have a windows application which has a complex GUI that I would like to hide from users. In order to do this, I would like to create a wrapper with an extremely simple interface that overlays this application and automates a number of actions when a user clicks a single button on the wrapper. (I hope "wrapper" is the proper term.) Is it possible to use Java to block input to the underlying application so that users cannot inadvertently mess up the automation? How would I go about this? Also, how can I automate key presses and clicks to the application without hijacking the mouse? Is this possible in Java? I have looked at java.awt.Robot, but it appears to hijack the mouse. I have also looked at AutoIT, but it too hijacks the mouse and does not integrate with Java. Neither of these options seem powerful enough for what I need, but I do not know how else to proceed.

Is it possible to integrate similar functionality into a Wordpress blog? Are the relevant API's open? Are there any plugins available? Thanks.   I want to make asychronous get requests and to take different results based on the input that I provide to each one. Here is my code: param=1; $.get('http://localhost/my_page_1.php', param, function(data) { alert("id = "+param); $('.resul 5.t').html(data); }); param=2; $.get('http://localhost/my_page_2.php', param, function(data) { alert("id = "+param); $('.result').html(data); }); The result for both requests is: "id = 2" I want the results to be: "id = 1" for the 1st request, and "id = 2" for the second one.. • Can a flex app (or a portion of a flex app) be made transparent to mouse clicks?

  I need to superimpose my Flex app above a plain HTML control on a web page, and be able to click through the Flex app to interact with the HTML control. Is there any way to do this? No permutation of mouseEnabled="false" or mouseChildren="false" seems to have the desired effect. Context: trying to integrate Google Earth API (JavaScript/HTML) with my flex app. I am leaving a portion of the flex app transparent and empty, and positioning the Google Earth widget just below that point in the z-index. Google Earth has to be behind flex, because there are some Flex controls periodically displayed in that space.

• Available options for hosting FTP server in .NET application

  I need to implement an FTP service inside my .NET application (running as a Windows Service) and have not had much luck finding good/current source code or vendors. Ideally it needs to be able to respond to the basic FTP Protocol and accept the data stream from an upload via a stream, enabling me to process the data as it is being received (think on the fly hashing). I need to be able to integrate it into my service because it will stack on top of our current code base with an existing custom TCP/IP communication protocol. I don't want to write (and then spend time debugging and performance testing) my own protocol, or implementation. I have already found plenty of ftp client implementations, I just need an acceptable server solution.

• Branch structure for a web site

  I was recently reading the TFS Branching Guide and it suggests a branch for every release. For a web site, there is only one "version" released at a time. In that case is it appropriate to have a single "Production" branch? Then, during the process of preparing for a release, you merge changes from the Main branch into Production. (As opposed to the suggestion to branch each release.) If you need to do a hotfix, do it in the Production branch, then reverse integrate into Main. Doing it this way allows you to keep configuration files for Production intact in the Production branch.

Let's say I have the following C# methods: public void MyMethod(int foo) { ... } public void MyMethod(int foo, int bar) { ... } I would like to register it to my Lua script environment so that I can do something like this: -- call method with one param MyMethod(123) -- call method with two params MyMethod(123, 456) I tried RegisterFunction("MyMethod", this, this.GetType().GetMethod("MyMethod")) but it reasonably complains about ambiguous match. Any ideas?

• Joomla and PHPBB3 integration

  Hey folks, I'm on a current web project, on which there's a working PHPBB3 installation in (root)/phpbb3 All other files of the page are directly on (root)/ and are manually programmed. now I have to refactor the whole page with Joomla and want to integrate the PHPBB3 directly into the main page, so that header, menu and footer of the joomla page are still beeing displayed, only the content shall be the PHPBB. There are no further log in mechansims on my page, so this is not an issue. It's just about an optical integration of the board into the page...is this possible? If yes, how?   What would be the best way to write Objective-C on the Windows platform? Cygwin and gcc? Is there a way I can somehow integrate this into Visual Studio? Along those lines - are there any suggestions as to how to link in and use the Windows SDK for something like this. Its a different beast but I know I can write assembly and link in the Windows DLLs giving me accessibility to those calls but I don't know how to do this without googling and getting piecemeal directions. Is anyone aware of a good online or book resource to do or explain these kinds of things?

• Website with Microsites & Blog - recommendations

  Hi guys, I'm in the process of scoping a solution for an events organisation. Their main website features information about them and blog entries etc, but they hold major events which require microsites (domain.com/event). The microsites all have a different look-and-feel, different nav structure, and custom content-managed components. The one thing that's common across everything is the blog - it will have a category for each event under which users can post. The main site will display all blog posts, but the microsites will only display posts for their category. How would you guys implement this? The solution needs to be PHP, and my initial thought was CodeIgniter but if possible I'd like to avoid building the blog functionality - so I guess I could integrate it with EE or Wordpress. If anyone has any other suggestions they would be most appreciated.

  I was trying to integrate django-voting into my project following the RedditStyleVoting instruction. In my urls.py, i did something like this: url(r'^sections/(?P<object_id>\d+)/(?P<direction>up|down|clear)vote/?$', vote_on_object, dict( model=Section, template_object_name='section', template_name='script/section_confirm_vote.html', allow_xmlhttprequest=True ), name="section_vote", then, in my template: {% vote_by_user user on section as vote %} {% score_for_object section as score %} {% vote_by_user user on section as vote %} {% score_for_object section as score %} {{ score.score|default:0 }} It takes over 1.3s to load the page, but by hard coding it like this: {% vote_by_user user on section as vote %} {% score_for_object section as score %} {{ score.score|default:0 }} I got 50ms. Just avoid the url tag resolving stuff I got a 20+ times performance improvement. Is there something I did wrong? If not, then what's the best practice here, should we do things the right way or the fast way?

• How to create a glib.Source from Python?

  I want to integrate some asyncore.dispatcher instances into GLib's default main context. I figure I can create a custom GSource that's able to detect event readiness on the various sockets in asyncore.socket_map. From C I believe this is done by creating the necessary GSourceFuncs which could involve cheap and non-blocking calls to select, and then handling them using asyncore.read, .write and friends. How do I actually create a GSource from Python? The class glib.Source is undocumented, and attempts to use the class interactively have been in vain. Is there some other method that allows me to handled socket events in the asyncore module without resorting to timeouts (or anything that endangers potential throughput and CPU usage)?

• Add database to plesk domain account via XML

  Hi All, I'm currently working on trying to integrate a site with Plesk via the XML API and I've run into a bit of an issue. I've managed to get most things working but I'm trying to add a database to a domain and I keep getting an error. When creating the database I extract a list of Domain Accounts associated with the current clients account, and use the domain guid that is returned in the XML to try and create the new database, but Plesk is returning an error stating that the id I am using is not a valid id. I've looked at the documentation and it is saying that the domain ID that I should be sending is an integer, but the only ID I can find for the domain is the guid, which is a string. Anyone done anything like this before and know where I can get the ID from?

My home page and everything else gets shifted down to make room for Info page.   I'm trying to integrate Mixpanel with GWT, but I have problems calling an event with a property and one value. My function to track an simple event (without values): public native void trackEvent(String eventName)/*-{ $wnd.mixpanel.track(eventName); }-*/; It works. But when I want to add some properties and values, it doesn't work properly: public native void trackComplexEvent(String eventName, String property, String value)/*-{ $wnd.mixpanel.track(eventName, {property:value}); }-*/; I have 2 problems with this: 1) Mixpanel says the property name is: "property"(yes, the name of the variable that I'm passing, not the value). 2) Mixpanel says the value is:undefined An example from mixpanel web is: mixpanel.track("Video Play", {"age": 13, "gender": "male"}); So, I guess the problem is I'm doing a wrong call or with wrong type of arguments.

I'm working on a project now and as the JS (Mostly jQuery) libraries grow, it's getting more and more difficult to introduce change or refactor, because I have no way of guaranteeing the accuracy of the code without manually testing everything. • Integrating Incoming Email Into a php/mysql App

  I am looking to create an incoming email daemon switchboard that I can integrate with various remote php/mysql apps. Ideally I want to check the 'to' address to see if it is in a mysql database and if it is, have the email parsed and posted via CURL to a target destination as well as have attachments saved somewhere locally. I will likely set up a rackspace cloud server dedicated to this task (just accepting emails and posting to 3rd party APIs). However, I do not know where to start. Which server platform / distribution should I go with? Which software needs to be customized, etc?
