    I am looking at the money_format function in php and confused on how to get it to format the way I want. I do not want USD in front of my string, I want a comma every 3 digits and 2 decimal points so 12345.67 will be formated to $12,345.67 Thanks.

    I recently did a mailing to a lot of hotmail addresses and now all the e-mails I send out (from PHP by the way) don't seem to reach their destination. So I figure hotmail banned my url...     I wonder if there is a way to get offsets and delimiters while I am splitting a string in ruby analagous to PHP preg_split: preg_split("/( |&nbsp;|<|>|\t|\n|\r|;|\.)/i", $html_string, -1, PREG_SPLIT_DELIM_CAPTURE|PREG_SPLIT_OFFSET_CAPTURE); I imagine I can achieve it by traversing string by characters or using something heavy as treetop, but I would like to use something more convenient.

    i would like to ask about some Notepad++ feature that i couldn't find in netbeans. And this feature is somehow really helpful. It's called 'function list' created by Jens Lorenz. this feature will list all of declared function in a PHP files. So, is there any subtitute plugin that i can use to smooth my migration from Notepad++ to Netbeans ? the main reason i switch is for svn, Phpdoc-support, and easiness maintaining medium-size web project.

    I am aware of the MySQL Date_Format function but am looking to achieve the following: I have on column with a day date in 2 digit format (01-30). I am trying to update another date formatted field with the current year, the next month (m+1) and the day field mentioned previously. In PHP i would do this using mktime function but this must be done using mysql calls only. Is it possible to transform in this way?

    I was given the daunting task of converting a ASP website to PHP and SQL Server to MySQL, and I ran into an issue that hopefully somebody can help I have a user table which has a password field with datatype Varbinary(128), are using pwdencrypt to encrypt the password. Is there a way to transfer that over to MySQL, and somehow i need to be able to keep the password intact... how can i go about that? any pointers would be greatly appreciated!

  • Wrong data retrieved from database

    So, I want to retrieve the order of the elements of a list. The order is set before by the user, and are stored in the table below. Because I also want to retrieve name and description of the list elements I need to combine two tables (see below). However, what is actually retrieved is an array containing 16 elements (should be four because it only exists four elements as for now). The array is too long to post here, but I put it in a phpFiddle to be found here if you're interested.
