    I am facing connection failure to MySQL problem when I run my program for more than couple of days.MySQL Error Code is 2013 while connecting to Database. MySQL server and client programs are both on same machine. I am using FC5 as my OS and MySQL version is 5.0.18. Can anybody throw some light on this?   • PHPUnit not working with netbeans 7.2.1

    I have just upgraded to netbeans 7.2.1 and phpunit is not working. I get the error:- Cannot run program C:\wamp\bin\php\php5.3.5\PEAR\phpunit-skelgen": CreateProcess error=193, %1 is not a valid Win32 application" when I try to generate PHPUnit tests. The only thing I can think of is that I seem to have a 64 bit version of netbeans installed - could this be the problem? If so, can anyone point me to a 32 bit version, because I couldn't see one on the website?

    Consider an object declared in a method: public void foo() { final Object obj = new Object(); // A long run job that consumes tons of memory and // triggers garbage collection } Will obj be subject to garbage collection before foo() returns? UPDATE: Previously I thought obj is not subject to garbage collection until foo() returns. However, today I find myself wrong. I have spend several hours in fixing a bug and finally found the problem is caused by obj garbage collected! Can anyone explain why this happens? And if I want obj to be pinned how to achieve it?     I can't seem to find in the SDK how to programatically sense the mute button/switch on the iPhone. When my app plays background music, it responds properly to the volume button without me having any code to follow that but, when I use the mute switch, it just keeps playing away. How do I test the position of mute? (NOTE: My program has its own mute switch, but I'd like the physical switch to override that.) Thanks!

    I have a Database named CarsType.accdb there are four fields in the data base Item_Name, Item_Num, Item_Qty, Item_Cost. I am able to get the database to display my data in VisualBasic but I am not sure how to get the total cost to appear in my label (lblTotalCost). I prefer doing it in VB versus writing in my access program. All I am wanting to do it multiply item_qty * Item_Cost How would I go about doing that?
