  I have a System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary<System.Web.UI.Control, object> where all keys can be either type of System.Web.UI.WebControls.HyperLink or type of System.Web.UI.WebControls.Label. I want to change Text property of each control. Because HyperLink doesn't implement (why??) • windows 8 installs fails to start

  I've been trying to follow Scott Hanselman's post on installing the Win8 RP on a vhd, using the win8 .iso on a dvd, but the install wont start. I get a black screen with the Windows text for a minute or two and then a :( with some text about setup experiencing an error flashes up and my laptop restarts. http://www.hanselman.com/blog/HowToGuideToInstallingAndBootingWindows8ConsumerPreviewOffAVHDVirtualHardDisk.aspx Has anyone got any clues what might be going wrong, or how I can diagnose this? • PHP string enocding issue - Extra characters appearing

  I see extra characters like â showing because of encoding issues as I found out here - HTML encoding issues - "Â" character showing up instead of "&nbsp;" I understand that if I set the browser meta encoding to UTF-8, these will not affect anything but I need to strip these extra characters from the database for other purposes. For eg. : Text: ↑ should be become Text: ? But if I run it through utf8_decode it gives me Text: ??? For every other occurrence of the â character, it converts properly to a blank space. Any help will be appreciated.

  Hi, I have an asp.net web page (C# 2008) where the user would enter an EmployeeID, and when they tab out of the textbox, they get a messagebox prompting them to select one of two values from a dropdown listbox. The code for the message prompt in the codebehind is : Response.Write("<script>window.alert('Please select Alpha or Beta')</script>"); After the prompt is displayed, and the user clicks "ok" and returns to the page, the text on the page appears distorted (the text in labels are a size larger, the labels get wrapped to another line etc) I tried putting a Response.Redirect("UserProfileMaint.aspx"); after the messagebox in the codebehind, but now, the messagebox does not appear; I want to display the messagebox validation, and ensure the appearance of the text on the page is not distorted. How can I do this?

I cannot have fixed size because I dont know the length of the text. If there is no size specified div takes the width of entire window. This cause some problems for me because I am using JQuery draggable plugin and the scrollbars appear immediately when the div is dragged. Any advice on that?

I load the file with that: $xml = simplexml_load_file('flash/datas/datas.xml'); And the access my content like that: $descText = $xml->aboutModule->chocolaterie->desc The text from desc is well registred in my $descText, but all the <br/> of the text disappear... • serializeArray doesn't include submit-button value

  Hi, I got two submit buttons in a form. One that deletes the post, and one to edit it. I want to display a fancybox with either the edit-form or a message saying that the user deleted the post. It's all decided by which button was pushed, with a "if(isset)"-sentence in edit.php. However I can't figure out how to get the value of the button within the serializeArray.. The method I'm using now to read and write output works fine for smaller strings (up to 60kB) but I get an exception thrown when the string is much longer than that.
