    Does anybody know the mathematics behind an attack on DSA where modulus p has p-1 made up of only small factors. In reality, this would not happen as the key generator would guarantee that this is not so. There is much information on the web on generating good input paramters for DSA so that it is hard to crack but no information on how you find X if modulus p has p-1 made up of only small factors.

  • For loop from assembly to C

    I have a bomb project where I need to defuse certain phases by finding "pas phrases" that will defuse the bomb. Right now I have been working with phase_2, for which the assembly code is shown below. Phase_2 requires as an input 6 numbers, which I need to find in order to defuse this phase. I analyzed this assembly, and I came up with the C code below, that covers lines from 40101c to 401044. It is basically a for loop that makes sure that elements t[0]==t[3], t[1]==t[4] and t[2]==t[5] that the user inputs, are equal. According to my logic, the user can input any 6 numbers as long as the above condition is satisfied. Say 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3 would be a valid "pas phrase". However this solution does not convince me for some reason.   • How can I make kml data look like google maps?

    I have a program that generates a .shp file, and exports this as a kml file. I would like to be able to display my output using the standard google map 'map' style (gray background, yellow streets, etc) in google earth, or in the google earth api. Is there a style guide or method that I should be using? Any thoughts appreciated - I wasn't sure how to structure this question. Thank you.

  • ASP.Net JSON Web Service Post Form Data

    I have a ASP.NET web service decorated with System.Web.Script.Services.ScriptService() so it can return json formatted data. This much is working for me, but ASP.Net has a requirement that parameters to the web service must be in json in order to get json out. I'm using jquery to run my ajax calls and there doesn't seem to be an easy way to create a nice javascript object from the form elements. I have looked at serialiseArray in the json2 library but it doesn't encode the field names as property name in the object. If you have 2 form elements like this <input type="text" name="namefirst" id="namefirst" value="John"/> <input type="text" name="namelast" id="namelast" value="Doe"/> calling $("form").serialize() will get you the standard query string namefirst=John&namelast=Doe calling JSON.stringify($("form").serializeArray()) will get you the (bulky) json representation [{"name":"namefirst","value":"John"},{"name":"namelast","value":"Doe"}] This will work when passing to the web service but its ugly as you have to have code like this to read it in: Public Class NameValuePair Public name As String Public value As String End Class <WebMethod()> _ Public Function GetQuote(ByVal nvp As NameValuePair()) As String End Function You would also have to wrap that json text inside another object nameed nvp to make the web service happy. Then its more work as all you have is an array of NameValuePair when you want an associative array. I might be kidding myself but i imagined something more elegant when i started this project - more like this Public Class Person Public namefirst As String Public namelast As String End Class which would require the json to look something like this: {"namefirst":"John","namelast":"Doe"} Is there an easy way to do this? Obviously it is simple for a form with two parameters but when you have a very large form concatenating strings gets ugly. Having nested objects would also complicate things The cludge I have settled on for the moment is to use the standard name value pair format stuffed inside a json object. This is compact and fast {"q":"namefirst=John&namelast=Doe"} then have a web method like this on the server that parses the query string into an associate array. <WebMethod()> _ Public Function AjaxForm(ByVal q As String) as string Dim params As NameValueCollection = HttpUtility.ParseQueryString(q) 'do stuff return "Hello" End Sub As far a cludges go this one seems reasonably elegant in terms of amount of code, but my question is: is there a better way?   • Parse int to string with stringstream

    Well! I feel really stupid for this question, and I wholly don't mind if I get downvoted for this, but I guess I wouldn't be posting this if I had not at least made an earnest attempt at looking for the solution. I'm currently working on Euler Problem 4, finding the largest palindromic number of two three-digit numbers [100..999]. As you might guess, I'm at the part where I have to work with the integer I made. I looked up a few sites and saw a few standards for converting an Int to a String, one of which included stringstream. So my code looked like this: // tempTotal is my int value I want converted. void toString( int tempTotal, string &str ) { ostringstream ss; // C++ Standard compliant method. ss << tempTotal; str = ss.str(); // Overwrite referenced value of given string. } and the function calling it was: else { toString( tempTotal, store ); cout << loop1 << " x " << loop2 << "= " << store << endl; } So far, so good. I can't really see an error in what I've written, but the output gives me the address to something. It stays constant, so I don't really know what the program is doing there. Secondly, I tried .ToString(), string.valueOf( tempTotal ), (string)tempTotal, or simply store = temptotal. All refused to work. When I simply tried doing an implicit cast with store = tempTotal, it didn't give me a value at all. When I tried checking output it literally printed nothing. I don't know if anything was copied into my string that simply isn't a printable character, or if the compiler just ignored it. I really don't know. So even though I feel this is a really, really lame question, I just have to ask: How do I convert that stupid integer to a string with the stringstream? The other tries are more or less irrelevant for me, I just really want to know why my stringstream solution isn't working.

We do so here, and explicitly set the buffering – an important point for TCP communication. Next, we set up lazy reading from the socket's Handle. For each incoming line, we pass it to handle. After there is no more data – because the remote end has closed the socket – we output a message about that. Since hGetContents blocks until the server closes the socket on the other side, I used hGetLine instead. It satisfied me before I decided to implement multiline output to client. I wouldn't like the server to close a socket every time it finishes sending multiline text. The only simple idea I have at the moment is to count the number of linefeeds and stop reading lines after two subsequent linefeeds. Do you have any better suggestions? Thanks.

I am looking for an output similar to Caps = 5 Lower = 3 numneric = 6 Special = 4 Fictitious values of course.     I've got a very weird bug which I've yet to find a solution. UPDATE see solution below What I am trying to do is convert a full size picture into a 160x120 thumbnail. It works great with jpg and jpeg files of any size, but not with png.   • Is JSON.stringify() reliable for serializing JSON objects?

    I need to send full objects from Javascript to PHP. It seemed pretty obvious to do JSON.stringify() and then json_decode() on the PHP end, but will this allow for strings with ":" and ","? Do I need to run an escape() function on big user input strings that may cause an issue? What would that escape function be? I don't think escape works for my purposes. Are there any downsides to JSON.stringify() I need to know about? Thanks

    Project Output Path of the the main application is set to ......\bin\Release\ and was published flawlessly by ClickOnce before.
