  • Installing assemblies to GAC with Windows Installer

    I am creating a Windwos Installer project just for the use of installing our third party assemblies into the gac of the users computer. The problem i am running into, is when i make an update to the assemblie and increment it's version number, i get an error saying: "Another version of this product is already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue..." I would have figured that windows installer would update the local machine with the new assemblie. Am i doing something wrong?

  • Need help with android.os.Build.VERSION.SDK_INT and SharedPreferences

    I have a main activity where I call VersionSettings vs = new VersionSettings(this); if (vs.firstRun2()) vs.versionCheckbox(); What I'm trying to do is set a checkbox (checkboxVideoType) to an unchecked state if the Android version is 1.6-2.1 I only want to do this the very first time the app is ever run, it never needs to run again. I think I'm running into the problem when the main activity calls versionCheckbox(), I get a force close if it attempts to run the code inside that is going to set the checkbox to false. I'm very new to programming and would really appreciate some help with this. I think I'm close, but need a push. Thanks in advance!     Hello, i have a bit of asp.net code that exports data in a datagrid into excel but i noticed that it messes up a particular field when exporting. eg .. i have the value of something like 89234010000725515875 in a column in the datagrid but when exported, it turns it into 89234+19. Is there any excel formatting that will bring back my original number? thanks

    Hi Everyone, Does anyone know how to change the rowcount of a datagrid in flash after it has been created on the stage. I am loading an xml file externally that contains the number of rows the datagrid should have, but the problem is that becuase this file is not loaded at runtime, it just picks the default 3 items. Maybe I have to reload the datagrid on the stage, or loop until it is defined. Does anyone have experince of this. Regards, Chris

    I have a number of Office 2007 documents (.pptx, .docx, .xlsx) in a SharePoint document library and when user tries to open the documents, it tries to open as a zip file. This happens to some users, but not all. I posted this issue at http://superuser.com/questions/110211/why-office-2007-documents-open-as-a-zip-file, but I failed to mention that it was related to the Sharepoint so it got moved to the superuser.com Please help.

    I am traversing an XML file (that contains multiple tables) using XSLT. Part of the job of the page is to get the title of each table, and present that title with along with the number of items that table contains (i.e. "Problems (5)"). I am able to get the number of items, but I now need to separate the sections with 0 (zero) items in them, and put them at the bottom of the list of table titles. I'm having trouble with this because the other items with positive numbers need to be left in their original order/not sorted.
