  • poplib and email module will not reloop through a message if it has alread read it

    - by user1440925
    I'm currently trying to write a script that gets messages from my gmail account but I'm noticing a problem. If poplib loops through a message in my inbox it will never loop through it again. Here is my code import poplib, string, email user = "[email protected]" password = "p0ckystyx" message = "" mail = poplib.POP3_SSL('pop.gmail.com') mail.user(user) mail.pass_(password) iMessageCount = len(mail.list()[1]) message = "" msg = mail.retr(iMessageCount) str = string.join(msg[1], "\n") frmMail = email.message_from_string(str) for part in frmMail.walk(): if part.get_content_type() == "text/plain": print part.get_payload() mail.quit() Every time I run this script it goes to the next newest email and just skips over the email that was shown last time it was run.

  • Why is new showat attribute required when using code generation?

    - by Patrick Karcher
    When I generate code using T4 templates in Visual Studio 2010, I get the following error for each of my asp controls when I try to compile: Control "ddState" is missing required attribute "showat". I have never gotten this error in previous versions of .NET. Further, I don't get this error when I manually construct my pages either by dragging/dropping, nor do I get it when I type out the control text myself. When I generate code, I have to manually add showat="client" to my tag for the compiler to be happy. It was my understanding that I never had to explicitly specify this tag. The following: <asp:dropdownlist id="ddState" runat="server" showat="client" /> solves the problem. Why do I have to add this to generated code but not other times? (It's a VS-2010 webforms project, using VB, in case that makes a difference.)

  • How to design parts of the application in XAML and how to reusing it then?

    - by MartyIX
    I'm working on a main window in my application and I would like to design parts of my window separately in Visual Studio designer. Main window Game desk (actually more of them and therefore it would be nice to design the game desk, mark it as a resource and then just via simple code (something like creating a new object and setting DataContext) create it. Console And so on Is it possible in VS to do this thing? I just need to know what to look for if it is possible. I don't need a whole solution. Thank you for suggestions!

  • Django: automatically import MEDIA_URL in context

    - by pistacchio
    Hi, like exposed here, one can set a MEDIA_URL in settings.py (for example i'm pointing to Amazon S3) and serve the files in the view via {{ MEDIA_URL }}. Since MEDIA_URL is not automatically in the context, one have to manually add it to the context, so, for example, the following works: #views.py from django.shortcuts import render_to_response from django.template import RequestContext def test(request): return render_to_response('test.html', {}, context_instance=RequestContext(request)) This means that in each view.py file i have to add from django.template import RequestContext and in each response i have to explicitly specify context_instance=RequestContext(request). Is there a way to automatically (DRY) add MEDIA_URL to the default context? Thanks in advance.

  • Type-aware rendering (and editing) of tabular data in pyqt4

    - by pihentagy
    I would like to have a very short / minimal example of how to create some tabular widget with different types of item in it. In the first round let's say I'd like to render [["Hello", 12, True], ["World", 13, False]] (Hello as string, 12 as number (right-align), True as a checkbox for eg.), but it would be nice to have Dates, Colors, and other type of info. Next round: editing (integer with spinbox, maybe sometimes a combobox is handy, but that may not work out of the box). There must be a simple solution, but I couldn't find...

  • Showing updated content on the client

    - by tazim
    Hi, I have a file on server which is viewed by the client asynchronously as and when required . The file is going to get modified on server side . Also updates are reflected in browser also In my views.py the code is : def showfiledata(request): somecommand ="ls -l > /home/tazim/webexample/templates/tmp.txt" with open("/home/tazim/webexample/templates/tmp.txt") as f: read_data = f.read() f.closed return_dict = {'filedata':read_data} json = simplejson.dumps(return_dict) return HttpResponse(json,mimetype="application/json") Here, entire file is sent every time client requests for the file data .Instead I want that only modified data sholud be received since sending entire file is not feasible if file size is large . My template code is : < html> < head> < script type="text/javascript" src="/jquerycall/">< /script> < script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { var setid = 0; var s = new String(); var my_array = new Array(); function displayfile() { $.ajax({ type:"POST", url:"/showfiledata/", datatype:"json", success:function(data) { s = data.filedata; my_array = s.split("\n"); displaydata(my_array); } }); } function displaydata(my_array) { var i = 0; length = my_array.length; for(i=0;i<my_array.length;i++) { var line = my_array[i] + "\n"; $("#textid").append(line); } } $("#b1").click(function() { setid= setInterval(displayfile,1000); }); $("#b2").click(function() { clearInterval(setid); }) }); < /script> < /head> < body> < form method="post"> < button type="button" id="b1">Click Me< /button>< br>< br> < button type="button" id="b2">Stop< /button>< br>< br> < textarea id="textid" rows="25" cols="70" readonly="true" disabled="true">< /textarea> < /form> </body> </html> Any Help will be beneficial . some sample code will be helpful to understand

  • How to manage feeds with subclassed object in Django 1.2?

    - by Matteo
    Hi, I'm trying to generate a feed rss from a model like this one, selecting all the Entry objects: from django.db import models from django.contrib.sites.models import Site from django.contrib.auth.models import User from imagekit.models import ImageModel import datetime class Entry(ImageModel): date_pub = models.DateTimeField(default=datetime.datetime.now) author = models.ForeignKey(User) via = models.URLField(blank=True) comments_allowed = models.BooleanField(default=True) icon = models.ImageField(upload_to='icon/',blank=True) class IKOptions: spec_module = 'journal.icon_specs' cache_dir = 'icon/resized' image_field = 'icon' class Post(Entry): title = models.CharField(max_length=200) description = models.TextField() slug = models.SlugField(unique=True) def __unicode__(self): return self.title class Photo(Entry): alt = models.CharField(max_length=200) description = models.TextField(blank=True) original = models.ImageField(upload_to='photo/') class IKOptions: spec_module = 'journal.photo_specs' cache_dir = 'photo/resized' image_field = 'original' def __unicode__(self): return self.alt class Quote(Entry): blockquote = models.TextField() cite = models.TextField(blank=True) def __unicode__(self): return self.blockquote When I use the render_to_response in my views I simply call: def get_journal_entries(request): entries = Entry.objects.all().order_by('-date_pub') return render_to_response('journal/entries.html', {'entries':entries}) And then I use a conditional template to render the right snippets of html: {% extends "base.html" %} {% block main %} <hr> {% for entry in entries %} {% if entry.post %}[...]{% endif %}[...] But I cannot do the same with the Feed Framework in django 1.2... Any suggestion, please?

  • Django: how to create sites dynamically?

    - by Leandro Ardissone
    Hi, I need to create an application for the company where I can create sites dynamically. For example, I need an admin interface (Django's admin is enough) where I can setup a new site and add some settings to it. Each site must hold a domain (domains can be manually added to apache conf, but if Django can handle it too would be awesome). Each site must be independent of the others, I mean, I shouldn't be able to see the data content of other sites but I can share same applications/models. I've seen the Django's Sites framework, but I'm not sure if it's possible to implement that way. Should I use Sites framework or create a new app that can handle sites better? What do you think?

My control is opened up by the click event of another button. like this (works fine): void CProducerDlg::OnSelect() { ... m_wndDatePicker.SetValue(varVariant); // hide date combo box if first entry has been chosen m_wndDate.ShowWindow(SW_HIDE); // show date picker if first entry is chosen m_wndDatePicker.ShowWindow(SW_SHOW); // open up calendar view [tbd] ... } What I need is the calendar view to open up expanded (showing the complete month). I don't find any method to do this... Who can help me? Thanks in advance Olli

  • Is it possible to bulk load an NDB child Entity in GAE?

    - by hmacread
    At some point in the future I may need to bulk load migration data (i.e. from a CSV). Has anyone had exceptions raised doing the following? Also is there any change in behaviour if the ndb.put_multi() function is used? from google.appengine.ext import ndb while True: if not id: break id, name = read_csv_row(readline()) x = X(parent=ndb.Key('Y','static_id') x.id, x.name = id, name x.put() class X(ndb.Model): id = StringProperty() name = StringProperty() class Y(ndb.Model): pass def read_csv_row(line): """returns tuple"""

  • Django throws 404 at generic views

    - by x0rg
    I'm trying to get the generic views for a date-based archive working in django. I defined the urls as described in a tutorial, but django returns a 404 error whenever I want to access an url with a variable (such as month or year) in it. It don't even produces a TemplateDoesNotExist-execption. Normal urls without variables work fine. Here's my urlconf: from django.conf.urls.defaults import * from zurichlive.zhl.models import Event info_dict = { 'queryset': Event.objects.all(), 'date_field': 'date', 'allow_future': 'True', } urlpatterns += patterns('django.views.generic.date_based', (r'events/(?P<year>d{4})/(?P<month>[a-z]{3})/(?P<day>w{1,2})/(?P<slug>[-w]+)/$', 'object_detail', dict(info_dict, slug_field='slug',template_name='archive/detail.html')), (r'^events/(?P<year>d{4})/(?P<month>[a-z]{3})/(?P<day>w{1,2})/(?P<slug>[-w]+)/$', 'object_detail', dict(info_dict, template_name='archive/list.html')), (r'^events/(?P<year>d{4})/(?P<month>[a-z]{3})/(?P<day>w{1,2})/$','archive_day',dict(info_dict,template_name='archive/list.html')), (r'^events/(?P<year>d{4})/(?P<month>[a-z]{3})/$','archive_month', dict(info_dict, template_name='archive/list.html')), (r'^events/(?P<year>)/$','archive_year', dict(info_dict, template_name='archive/list.html')), (r'^events/$','archive_index', dict(info_dict, template_name='archive/list.html')), ) When I access /events/2010/may/12/this-is-a-slug I should get to the detail.html template, but instead I get a 404. What am I doing wrong?

  • How can I move app.config to a different folder inside the Solution Explorer?

    - by Coder7862396
    I'm using Visual Studio 2010. In my Solution Explorer I like to sort my Project items into folders (a folder for Forms, a folder for Classes, a Misc folder, etc.) It seems though that if I move the "app.config" file to a folder named "Config Files" everything works until I change a setting in the Settings.settings file. Once I do that, a new app.config is created and the one that was in the "Config Files" folder did not get updated. I have searched the entire solution for the text "app.config" and did not find any results. How can I move this file so that my Solution Explorer looks nice and clean?

  • Google App Engine - Is os.environ reset between requests?

    - by Ian Charnas
    Hello I can't think of a way to test this and was hoping someone here knew the answer... I'm storing some request-specific data in os.environ, and was wondering if that data was going to leak to other requests. Does anyone know? Yes I realize that it's normal to use request.environ for this, and usually I do, but I want to store the currently authorized user ID (I'm using custom auth, not GAE auth) inside os.environ so that the models know the currently logged in user (remember, they don't have access to request.environ) without me having to pass the request object to just about every single model method. any help would be greatly appreciated Ian

  • HTML tag for identifying text

    - by ravi
    I am not very much familiar with HTML programming. If we look at the source code of a page, then we can see what are the HTML tags for which texts and so. It is the case that there is group or class of HTML tags which is used for purpose such that it can be used for main text or so. I mean like '<\input type="radio" name="option"' this tag says that there will a radio button, similar can be make a group of HTML tags such that it consist of text part, which means we look at the tag and not at the content and can say that in between startTag and endTag we have text.

  • How to invert alternate bits of a number

    - by Cupidvogel
    The problem is how to invert alternate bits of a number, starting from the LSB. Currently what I am doing is first doing a count = -1 while n: n >>= 1 count += 1 to first find the position of the leftmost set bit, then running a loop to invert every alternate bit: i = 0 while i <= count: num ^= 1<<i i += 2 Is there a quick hack solution instead of this rather boring loop solution? Of course, the solution can't make any asumption about the size of the integer.

  • threading.Event wait function not signaled when subclassing Process class

    - by user1313404
    For following code never gets past the wait function in run. I'm certain I'm doing something ridiculously stupid, but since I'm not smart enough to figure out what, I'm asking. Any help is appreciated. Here is the code: import threading import multiprocessing from multiprocessing import Process class SomeClass(Process): def __init__(self): Process.__init__(self) self.event = threading.Event() self.event.clear() def continueExec(self): print multiprocessing.current_process().name print self print "Set:" + str(self.event.is_set()) self.event.set() print "Set:" + str(self.event.is_set()) def run(self): print "I'm running with it" print multiprocessing.current_process().name self.event.wait() print "I'm further than I was" print multiprocessing.current_process().name self.event.clear() def main(): s_list = [] for t in range(3): s = SomeClass() print "s:" + str(s) s_list.append(s) s.start() raw_input("Press enter to send signal") for t in range(3): print "s_list["+str(t)+"]:" + str(s_list[t]) s_list[t].continueExec() raw_input("Press enter to send signal") for t in range(3): s_list[t].join() print "All Done" if __name__ == "__main__": main()

  • Query distinct list of choices for Django form with App Engine Datastore

    - by Brian
    I've been trying to figure this out for hours across a couple of days, and can not get it to work. I've been everywhere. I'll continue trying to figure it out, but was hoping for a quicker solution. I'm using App Engine datastore + Django. Using a query in a view and custom forms, I was able to get a list to the form but then I was not able to post. I have been trying to figure out how to dynamically add the choices as part of the Django form... I've tried various ways with no success. Help! Below are the two models. I'd like to get a distinct list of address_id to show in the location field in InfoForm. This fields could (and maybe should) be named the same, but I thought it'd be easier if they were named different. class Info(db.Model): user = db.UserProperty() location = db.StringProperty() info = db.StringProperty() created = db.DateTimeProperty(auto_now_add=True) modified = db.DateTimeProperty(auto_now=True) class Locations(db.Model): user = db.UserProperty() address_id = db.StringProperty() address = db.StringProperty() class InfoForm(djangoforms.ModelForm): info = forms.ChoiceField(choices=INFO_CHOICES) location = forms.ChoiceField() class Meta: model = Info exclude = ['user','created','modified']
