  • How to get descriptive error messages from DB2?

    - by tangens
When I call a SQL statement via JDBC on the DB2 and the statement fails, I catch an SQLException with the following message text: com.ibm.db2.jcc.a.nn: DB2 SQL Error: SQLCODE=-206, SQLSTATE=42703, SQLERRMC=O.METADATENSATZ, DRIVER=3.52.95 I tried an automatic translation of the message according to the error list published by IBM, but there are placeholders inside the messages referencing other elements of the exception. While looking for these elements inside the exception, I found the DB2ExceptionFormatter and tried to use it to access the missing elements. But here I stopped, because the DB2ExceptionFormatter gave me a clue: Error occurred while trying to obtain message text from server. Only message tokens are available. So my question is: What do I have to configure to get the correct messages from the DB2 server? If I can get a human readable message from the server, I could use it directly and wouldn't have to translate it by myself.

  • how to get wanted nodes from Stanford Parser nlp

    - by vitaly
    Hello all! My mean problem is that I dont know how to extract nodes from GrammaticalStructure. I am using englishPCFG.ser in java netbeans. My target is o know the quality of the screen like: the screen of iphone 4 is great. I want to extract screen and great. how can i extract the NN (screen) and VP (great) the code that I wrote is: LexicalizedParser lp = new LexicalizedParser("C:\\englishPCFG.ser"); lp.setOptionFlags(new String[]{"-maxLength", "80", "-retainTmpSubcategories"}); String sent ="the screen is very good."; Tree parse = (Tree) lp.apply(Arrays.asList(sent)); parse.pennPrint(); System.out.println(); TreebankLanguagePack tlp = new PennTreebankLanguagePack(); GrammaticalStructureFactory gsf = tlp.grammaticalStructureFactory(); GrammaticalStructure gs = gsf.newGrammaticalStructure(parse); Collection tdl = gs.typedDependenciesCollapsed();

  • Is it possible to have a tableless select with multiple rows?

    - by outis
A SELECT without a FROM clause gets us a multiple columns without querying a table: SELECT 17+23, REPLACE('bannanna', 'nn', 'n'), RAND(), CURRENT_TIMESTAMP; How can we write a query that results in multiple rows without referring to a table? Basically, abuse SELECT to turn it into a data definition statement. The result could have a single column or multiple columns. I'm most interested in a DBMS neutral answer, but others (e.g. based on UNPIVOT) are welcome. There's no technique application behind this question; it's more theoretical than practical.

  • Sqlite3 Database versus populating Arrays

    - by Kenoy
hi, I am working on a program that requires me to input values for 12 objects, each with 4 arrays, each with 100 values. (4800) values. The 4 arrays represent possible outcomes based on 2 boolean values... i.e. YY, YN, NN, NY and the 100 values to the array are what I want to extract based on another inputted variable. I previously have all possible outcomes in a csv file, and have imported these into sqlite where I can query then for the value using sql. However, It has been suggested to me that sqlite database is not the way to go, and instead I should populate using arrays hardcoded. Which would be better during run time and for memory management?

  • Bitfield mask/operations with optional items

    - by user1560249
I'm trying to find a way to handle several bitfield cases that include optional, required, and not allowed positions. yy?nnn?y 11000001 ?yyy?nnn 01110000 nn?yyy?n 00011100 ?nnn?yyy 00000111 In these four cases, the ? indicates that the bit can be either 1 or 0 while y indicates a 1 is required and n indicates that a 0 is required. The bits to the left/right of the required bits can be anything and the remaining bits must be 0. Is there a masking method I can use to test if an input bit set satisfies one of these cases?

  • Neural network input data, cartesian plane x/y coordinates, correlate with Handwriting.

    - by Sam
I very curious about making a handwriting recognition application in a web browser. Users draw a letter, ajax sends the data to the server, neural network finds the closest match, and returns results. So if you draw an a, the first result should be an a, then o, then e, something like that. I'm don't know much about neural networks. What kinda data would I need to pass to the NN. Could it be an array of the x/y coordinates where the user has drawn on a pad. Or what type of data is the neural network expecting or would produce the best results for handwriting?

  • Will PHP script running on top of Apache be faster than C# stand alloun programm doing same thing (s

    - by Ole Jak
I mean PHP scripts on Apache are oriented for many users to use tham at the same time. So will 1000 requests which came at the (relativly) same time be fully responsed faster than C# .Net programm perfoming algorithm 1000 times in while loop? So we input same data, we perform same algorithm, which is written in a wary same way (respecting language diferencis ofcourse), outputing same data (lat us say saving it to file for tham to be relativly equal) Who will be faster on some 1000 times of performing O(NN) algorithm, in which case (if it is possible) one will owerrun another?

  • How do I connect Ubuntu to Sony Bravia LED TV via HDMI?

    - by VedVals
My laptop connects to 46" Sony Bravia LED TV using HDMI cable in Windows without any problem. However, it just doesn't work with Ubuntu 12.04. It always says No Signal. Problem somewhat persists after upgrading to 13.04. Bravia detects my laptop as a connection now but I am unable to display anything. What drivers/applications should I install to connect via HDMI? • Vostro 3560 Wireless on Ubuntu 12.10

    - by ngille
I have been using Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS on a Dell Vostro 3560 for some time now. At first I had issues with the wireless but I was pointed to a driver from Ubuntu 11.xx for a Broadcom BCM43142 and that did work! however with the upgrade to 12.10 I find myself at a lost because the driver will not work anymore. When trying to reinstall it I get "Driver of bad quality" I still install it but it just wont work. I cant seem to find anything on this issue for 12.10 and didn't know if anyone had any advice or if someone could point me in the right direction on resources to write my own driver for it. As I know C/C++ but have never written a driver for a Linux machine before. Thanks for any help! To be more clear I installed Ubuntu 12.10 Desktop on my Dell Vostro 3560 laptop. When I log in, my wireless card isn't visible in the Network Manager popup menu, although the wired network shows up there. I installed the driver mentioned below and that did help me on 12.04 but is now broken due to "Poor quality" a sudo lspci -nn command brings up: 00:00.0 Host bridge [0600]: Intel Corporation 3rd Gen Core processor DRAM Controller [8086:0154] (rev 09) 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation 3rd Gen Core processor Graphics Controller [8086:0166] (rev 09) 00:14.0 USB controller [0c03]: Intel Corporation 7 Series/C210 Series Chipset Family USB xHCI Host Controller [8086:1e31] (rev 04) 00:16.0 Communication controller [0780]: Intel Corporation 7 Series/C210 Series Chipset Family MEI Controller #1 [8086:1e3a] (rev 04) 00:1a.0 USB controller [0c03]: Intel Corporation 7 Series/C210 Series Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller #2 [8086:1e2d] (rev 04) 00:1b.0 Audio device [0403]: Intel Corporation 7 Series/C210 Series Chipset Family High Definition Audio Controller [8086:1e20] (rev 04) 00:1c.0 PCI bridge [0604]: Intel Corporation 7 Series/C210 Series Chipset Family PCI Express Root Port 1 [8086:1e10] (rev c4) 00:1c.1 PCI bridge [0604]: Intel Corporation 7 Series/C210 Series Chipset Family PCI Express Root Port 2 [8086:1e12] (rev c4) 00:1c.2 PCI bridge [0604]: Intel Corporation 7 Series/C210 Series Chipset Family PCI Express Root Port 3 [8086:1e14] (rev c4) 00:1d.0 USB controller [0c03]: Intel Corporation 7 Series/C210 Series Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller #1 [8086:1e26] (rev 04) 00:1f.0 ISA bridge [0601]: Intel Corporation HM77 Express Chipset LPC Controller [8086:1e57] (rev 04) 00:1f.2 SATA controller [0106]: Intel Corporation 7 Series Chipset Family 6-port SATA Controller [AHCI mode] [8086:1e03] (rev 04) 00:1f.3 SMBus [0c05]: Intel Corporation 7 Series/C210 Series Chipset Family SMBus Controller [8086:1e22] (rev 04) 01:00.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. • No network connectivity (not wired or wireless) - RT5390

    - by Ben Udy
I am starting to think I simply need to accept a small loss and sell my new ASUS K73E. Because I really don't enjoy computing when I have to deal with Windough$ and this windows 7 64 bit on my new ASUS is even worse than the old machines with XP. I have written to ASUS and they simply say "We don't support Linux" and while Ralink's website says they do support Linux I can't get anyone to tell me what model Ralink card might be in my machine. I have now gone to Ralink.com and downloaded (via Windows 7) the driver package (it is a bz2 file). I hope I can figure out how to install it. And FYI - I was not able to run su (not authorized?) and dmidecode didn't exist (probably needs to be downloaded BUT no internet yet in Ubuntu)

  • No suspend on lid closing on a Samsung Series 5 14" NP530U4BI

    - by dmeu
Ok, i realize I am not the only one, but I will try to provide all info possible to make it exemplary as possible and narrow down the error sources. I have a fresh install of Ubuntu 12.04 and the suspend worked fine upon having it freshly installed but now it does not anymore. The suspend option from the system power button on the top right works fine. Things I did do which I don't know if they are related: Install and remove againthe FGLRX drivers (Radeon graphic card) Install Jupiter power managment (shutting it down is not changin anything) Plug in and out an external display The configuration I know of is well set: In System Settings/Power all is set to suspend when closing lid Double checked with dconf-editor, everything set to suspend So, from here on I don't know how to proceed.. what are common problems that cause this error? • Wifi problems after upgrading to 13.10

    - by Simon
I just upgraded to Ubuntu 13.10, but since the upgrade I don't have internet access via wifi anymore. I can: See networks Connect to a network Ping myself (localhost, 192.168.0.103) I can't: Ping others (including other devices on the same wireless network, including the gateway/router) Resolve hosts Access any other external resource, whether on my own network or on the internet Using Wireshark, I noticed my computer is continuously sending ARP-requests like "Who has 192.168.0.1 [which is the gateway]? Tell 192.168.0.103". It doesn't get any replies though. When I ping another IP-address for which it knows the mac-address (from cache), it turns out a packet loss of 90% occurs, and even if a packet manages to arrive it takes around 3000ms. The output of route -n is: Kernel IP routing table Destination Gateway Genmask Flags Metric Ref Use Iface 0.0.0.0 192.168.0.1 0.0.0.0 UG 0 0 0 eth1 192.168.0.0 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 U 9 0 0 eth1 192.168.122.0 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 U 0 0 0 virbr0 Before upgrading, wifi worked fine. Using other devices, wifi still works fine.Resetting the router didn't help. Ethernet still works after upgrading. Any suggestions? Update: I'm using the wl driver. Here's the relevant output of some commands: lspci | grep Wireless 03:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4313 802.11bgn Wireless Network Adapter (rev 01) cat /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf [...] blacklist mac80211 blacklist brcm80211 blacklist cfg80211 blacklist lib80211_crypt_tkip blacklist lib80211 blacklist b43 cat /etc/rc.local sudo modprobe -r lib80211 sudo insmod /lib/modules/3.2.0-30-generic-pae/kernel/net/wireless/lib80211.ko sudo insmod /lib/modules/3.2.0-30-generic-pae/kernel/net/wireless/lib80211_crypt_wep.ko sudo insmod /lib/modules/3.2.0-30-generic-pae/kernel/net/wireless/lib80211_crypt_tkip.ko sudo insmod /lib/modules/3.2.0-30-generic-pae/kernel/net/wireless/lib80211_crypt_ccmp.ko sudo modprobe wl exit 0 The last lines are probably how I got wireless working after the previous upgrade (wireless has been a problem after each upgrade). Update 2: added information about the exact hardware below. The hardware is an integrated device, so I ran lspci -nn | grep -i network. The output is: 03:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Broadcom Corporation BCM4313 802.11bgn Wireless Network Adapter [14e4:4727] (rev 01)

  • VoIP setup for one external PSTN line

    - by Jcl
I'm completely new to VoIP and the likes, and I'm trying to find information about what could be the best setup for this. I need 4 (maybe more in the future, but maximum 5 or 6) wireless extensions, connected to 1 PSTN line, and maybe 2 in the future. I've been trying to gather information about the gear needed but everything I find seems too much over-the-top (and extremely expensive). The main problem is that the physical place we are on doesn't have possibilities of having a decent internet connection, so using a external VoIP "virtual PBX" is not an option. Thing is, even if small, phone is critical to this organization. I currently have an analog DECT/GAP PBX which does what I need, however the PBX is very bad and the call quality is horrible, and that's why I want to change it. The requirements would be: 4 wireless terminals (routing cable is not an option), all of them ringing on incoming PSTN calls. Ability to do internal calls (4 separate offices) and ability to pass calls between terminals. The 4 terminals should be able to access the external PSTN line without dialing any special codes. Very important: terminals should be able to issue commands on the PSTN line to the external operator in the form *nn*nnnnnnnn# . Don't know wether this could face to be a problem, but I've had problems with analog PBX which would take any * as a PBX command and wouldn't allow terminals to send it to the external lines. Not so important, but would be nice to have: call waiting music Could anyone recommend such a setup? I need to be able to do this on a EXTREMELY LIMITED budget (that is: I don't have a limit, but all should get as much to zero as possible). I have enough spare powerful computers and a 300mbps wireless network which works just fine, so that's not to include in the budget. Don't really know if this is the best place to ask, but it's the most StackExchange-related site I've found to this subject.

  • tcp connect hangs on SYN_SENT if something listens, gets CONN_REFUSED if nothing listens

    - by Amos Shapira
I'm hitting a very strange problem - when I try to connect to one of our servers the client hangs with SYN_SENT if something listens on the port (e.g. Apache on port 80, sshd on port 22 or SMTP on port 25) but if I try to connect to a port on which nothing listens then I immediately get a "CONNECTION refused" error. Connecting to other applications (e.g. rsyncd on some arbitrary port) succeeds. I ran tcpdump on the server and see that the SYN packets arrive to it but it only sends a response if nothing listens on that port. e.g.: on the server I run: # tcpdump -nn port 81 06:49:34.641080 IP 10.x.y.z.49829 server.81: S 3966400723:3966400723(0) win 12320 06:49:34.641118 IP server.81 x.y.z.49829: R 0:0(0) ack 3966400724 win 0 But if I listen on this port, e.g. with nc -4lvvv 81 & Then the output of tcpdump is: 06:44:31.063614 IP x.y.z.45954 server.81: S 3493682313:3493682313(0) win 12320 (and repeats until I stop it) The server is CentOS 5, the client is Ubuntu 11.04, the connection is done between two LAN's over per-user TCP OpenVPN. Connection to other servers on that network do not have a problem. Connecting from the other servers on the same network to that server works fine. Connections from other clients in our office over openvpn is also not a problem. What am I missing? Thanks.

  • Error importing large MySQL dump file which includes binary BLOBs in Windows

    - by Daniel Magliola
I'm trying to import a MySQL dump file, which I got from my hosting company, into my Windows dev machine, and i'm running into problems. I'm importing this from the command line, and i'm getting a very weird error: ERROR 2005 (HY000) at line 3118: Unknown MySQL server host '+?*á±dÆ-N+Æ·h^ye"p-i+ Z+-$?P+Y.8+|?+l8/l¦¦î7æ¦X¦XE.ºG[ ;-ï?éµ?º+¦¦].?+f9d릦'+ÿG?-0à¡úè?-?ù??¥'+NÑ' (11004) I'm attaching the screenshot because i'm assuming the binary data will get lost... I'm not exactly sure what the problem is, but two potential issues are the size of the file (2 Gb) which is not insanely large, but it's not trivially small either, and the other is the fact that many of these tables have JPG images in them (which is why the file is 2Gb large, for the most part). Also, the dump was taken in a Linux machine and I'm importing this into Windows, not sure if that could add to the problems (I understand it shouldn't) Now, that binary garbage is why I think the images in the file might be a problem, but i've been able to import similar dumps from the same hosting company in the past, so i'm not sure what might be the issue. Also, trying to look into this file (and line 3118 in particular) is kind of impossible given its size (i'm not really handy with Linux command line tools like grep, sed, etc). The file might be corrupted, but i'm not exactly sure how to check it. What I downloaded was a .gz file, which I "tested" with WinRar and it says it looks OK (i'm assuming gz has some kind of CRC). If you can think of a better way to test it, I'd love to try that. Any ideas what could be going on / how to get past this error? I'm not very attached to the data in particular, since I just want this as a copy for dev, so if I have to lose a few records, i'm fine with that, as long as the schema remains perfectly sound. Thanks! Daniel

  • Understanding !d command in sed with respect to saves

    - by richardh
I have a directory of tab-delimited text files and some have comments in the first few lines that I would like to delete. I know that the first good line starts with "Mark" so I can use /^Mark/,$!d to delete these comments. After this deletion I have several other replacements that I make in the (new) first line that has variable names. My question is, why do I have to save sed's output to get my script to work? I understand that if I line is deleted, then the output doesn't proceed downstream because there is no output. But if I don't delete (i.e., !d) then why do I have to save to file? Thanks! Here is my shell script. (I'm a sed newbie, so any other feedback is also appreciated.) #!/bin/bash for file in *.txt; do mv $file $file.old1 sed -e '/^Mark/,$!d' $file.old1 > $file.old2 sed -e '1s/\([Ss]\)hareholder/\1hrhldr/g'\ -e '1s/\([Ii]\)mmediate/\1mmdt/g'\ -e '1s/\([Nn]\)umber/\1o/g'\ -e '1s/\([Cc]\)ompany/\1o/g'\ -e '1s/\([Ii]\)nformation/\1nfo/g'\ -e '1s/\([Pp]\)ercentage/\1ct/g'\ -e '1s/\([Dd]\)omestic/\1om/g'\ -e '1s/\([Gg]\)lobal/\1lbl/g'\ -e '1s/\([Cc]\)ountry/\1ntry/g'\ -e '1s/\([Ss]\)ource/\1rc/g'\ -e '1s/\([Oo]\)wnership/\1wnrshp/g'\ -e '1s/\([Uu]\)ltimate/\1ltmt/g'\ -e '1s/\([Ii]\)ncorporation/\1ncorp/g'\ -e '1s/\([Tt]\)otal/\1ot/g'\ -e '1s/\([Dd]\)irect/\1ir/g'\ $file.old2 > $file rm -f $file.old* done

  • How do you link a time stamp to a cell using a userform button control? [migrated]

    - by Chad Cochrane
Hello fellow VB Developers/Users/Hobbyists/What-Have-You! I have a user form that has two buttons: 1. Start 2. Stop When I press start, I would like it to record the current time with this format: (dd/mm/yy hh:nn:ss:) in a specific column. Then when I press the Stop Button I would like it to record the time again in the cell next to it. Then if I press start Again I would like it to record below the first cells current record. Basically I am building a timer to record data to see how long certain tasks take. I will post the excel file and provide more information were necessary. Thanks for any help provided. CURRENT CODE Public runTimer As Double Public startTime As Date Dim counter As Date Sub setStart() counter = 0 startTime = Now runTimer = Now + TimeSerial(0, 0, 1) Application.OnTime runTimer, "setStart", , True Set myTime = Sheet4.Range("F1") Set timeRng = Sheet4.Range("C8:C100") i = WorksheetFunction.CountA(timeRng) i = i + 1 Cells(i, "C") = myTime Sheet4.Cells(i, "C").NumberFormat = "yyyy/mm/dd HH:mm:ss" If i >= 2 Then Cells(i, "D8") = Cells(i, "C8") - Cells(i - 1, "C8") Sheet4.Cells(i, "C").NumberFormat = "yyyy/mm/dd HH:mm:ss" End If Application.EnableEvents = False End Sub Sub setStop() Application.OnTime runTimer, "setStop", , True Set myTime = Sheet4.Range("F1") Set timeRng = Sheet4.Range("D8:D100") i = WorksheetFunction.CountA(timeRng) i = i + 1 Application.EnableEvents = False Cells(i, "D") = myTime Sheet4.Cells(i, "D").NumberFormat = "yyyy/mm/dd HH:mm:ss" End Sub

  • Failling install Ralink RT5592 driver on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

    - by atisou
My problem concerns the installation of a wi-fi driver (RT5592) for my new wi-fi adapter (PCE-N53) on my newly built computer. Basically, I don't manage to get the driver installed and therefore I cannot get the wifi to work. I know I am not the only one having this issue this year, between RT5592 driver and Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, in one way or the other. Is there anybody who has ever been able to fix this problem? It does not look like on all the posts I have been through... Following an answer to a same problem as mine (I was getting the same error message as Christopher Kyle Horton of "incompatible types" etc), I have applied the instructions and done the editings in a script as suggested by Paul B. Unfortunately I still do get error/warnings message (a different one this time) at the end of the make and the wi-fi still does not work. Below is a snapshot of the end of the message: In file included from /home/username/Downloads/PCE-N53/Linux/DPO_GPL_RT5592STA_LinuxSTA_v2.6.0.0_20120326/include/os/rt_linux.h:31:0, from /home/username/Downloads/PCE-N53/Linux/DPO_GPL_RT5592STA_LinuxSTA_v2.6.0.0_20120326/include/rtmp_os.h:44, from /home/username/Downloads/PCE-N53/Linux/DPO_GPL_RT5592STA_LinuxSTA_v2.6.0.0_20120326/include/rtmp_comm.h:69, from /home/username/Downloads/PCE-N53/Linux/DPO_GPL_RT5592STA_LinuxSTA_v2.6.0.0_20120326/os/linux/../../os/linux/pci_main_dev.c:31: include/linux/module.h:88:32: error: ‘__mod_pci_device_table’ aliased to undefined symbol ‘rt2860_pci_tbl’ extern const struct gtype##_id __mod_##gtype##_table \ ^ include/linux/module.h:146:3: note: in expansion of macro ‘MODULE_GENERIC_TABLE’ MODULE_GENERIC_TABLE(type##_device,name) ^ /home/username/Downloads/PCE-N53/Linux/DPO_GPL_RT5592STA_LinuxSTA_v2.6.0.0_20120326/os/linux/../../os/linux/pci_main_dev.c:73:1: note: in expansion of macro ‘MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE’ MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE(pci, rt2860_pci_tbl); ^ cc1: some warnings being treated as errors make[2]: *** [/home/username/Downloads/PCE-N53/Linux/DPO_GPL_RT5592STA_LinuxSTA_v2.6.0.0_20120326/os/linux/../../os/linux/pci_main_dev.o] Error 1 make[1]: *** [_module_/home/username/Downloads/PCE-N53/Linux/DPO_GPL_RT5592STA_LinuxSTA_v2.6.0.0_20120326/os/linux] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-headers-3.13.0-32-generic' make: *** [LINUX] Error 2 The full pastebin data: paste.ubuntu.com/8088834/ It looks from the message that one would need to edit manually some of/other scripts in the driver package, as did Paul B suggest in one case. But I have no idea how to do that. Here is the driver package of the wifi adapter: www.asus.com/uk/Networking/PCEN53/HelpDesk_Download/ My system is as following: OS: ubuntu 14.04 LTS wi-fi card: Asus PCE-N53 motherboard: Asus KCMA-D8 processor: AMD Opteron 4228 HE kernel: 3.13.0-32-generic Following this info from chili555 in here, below are some extra info about my system: lspci -nn | grep 0280 gives 04:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Ralink corp. RT5592 PCI2 Wireless Network Adapater [1814:5592] and sudo apt-get install linux-headers-generic returns linux-headers-generic is already the newest version. 0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded. If this is a kernel version (I have 3.13.0-32-generic) incompatibility issue with the driver as chilli555 suggests (the README file in the driver package says indeed it is compatible with kernel 2.6), how could one trick this around to make it work? that should be possible right? On ubuntu forums, the patches proposed dont work (leads the computer to freeze). Basically: is there anybody out there who has ever been able to make a PCE-N53 work on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (kernel 3.13)? how shall I edit the driver package to make it work for my kernel?

  • Atheros AR9485 wireless card doesn't work in an ASUS K53E

    - by John
I just installed Ubuntu 11.10 32-bit version in dual boot mode on an ASUS K53. Every thing seems to work fine except for the wireless. The wireless works on Windows 7. Ubuntu finds the wireless card, but it does not appear to be turned on. The only physical means of turning on the card is the FN-F2 key combo. That works on Windows, but not in Ubuntu. I've looked in the forums for a solution and I'm not quite sure what to do. I've gathered the following information: jdwbmc@Spatha:~$ cat /etc/lsb-release; uname -a DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu DISTRIB_RELEASE=11.10 DISTRIB_CODENAME=oneiric DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 11.10" Linux Spatha 3.0.0-12-generic #20-Ubuntu SMP Fri Oct 7 14:50:42 UTC 2011 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux jdwbmc@Spatha:~$ lspci -nnk | grep -iA2 net 02:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Atheros Communications Inc.
