  • Android Eclipse Error "Android Packaging Problem"

    Hello; I am getting an error in my Problems tab for my Android Project in Eclipse. The error is "Android Packaging Problem" with an Unknown location. Unknown Error NullPointerException I cannot determine what this problem is. My project was working a few hours ago. The only change I made was to add a public interface ITrackDao to my project and implement it. There are no errors associated with this. I am not even sure where to begin to look. I cannot launch the application. Can someone give me an idea on what area I can look into? Thanks Peter

  • C#: Multiline TextBox with TextBox.WordWrap Displaying Long Base64 String

    Hi, Happy New Year! I have a textbox to display a very long Base64 string. The TextBox.Multline = true and TextBox.WordWrap = true. The issue is caused by the auto-word-boundary detection of the TextBox itself. The Base64 string has '+' as one of the 64 characters for Base64 encoding. Therefore, the TextBox will wrap it up at the '+' character, which is not what I want (because the use might think there is a newline character around the '+' character). I just want my Base64 string displayed in Mulitline-mode in TextBox, but no word boundary detection, that is, if the TextBox.Width can only contain 80 characters, then each line should have exact 80 characters except the last line. I'm not sure if I made myself clear. Thanks. Peter

  • Install mod_jk with Apache 2.2

    I have downloaded mod_jk-1.2.28-httpd-2.2.X.so for Apache 2.2 running on CentOS, and set up as per http://tomcat.apache.org/connectors-doc/webserver_howto/apache.html. When I try to start httpd it fails with the following error: "Starting httpd: httpd: Syntax error on line 993 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf: Syntax error on line 2 of /opt/apache-tomcat-6.0.26/conf/jk/mod_jk.conf-auto: Cannot load /etc/httpd/modules/mod_jk-1.2.28-httpd-2.2.X.so into server: /etc/httpd/modules/mod_jk-1.2.28-httpd-2.2.X.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32" Does that mean that mod_jk-1.2.28-httpd-2.2.X.so has not been properly compiled?.     Hi, I was wondering how to make a url link appear in Bibliography? For example, @misc{libsvm, abstract = {LIBSVM is an implbmentation of Support vector machine (SVM).}, author = {Chang, Chih-Chung}, keywords = {svm}, posted-at = {2010-04-08 00:05:04}, priority = {2}, title = {LIBSVM}, url = "http://www.csie.ntu.edu.tw/~cjlin/libsvm/", year = {2008} } will appear in Bibliography as [2] Chih-Chung Chang. Libsvm, 2008. But I hope the link "http://www.csie.ntu.edu.tw/~cjlin/libsvm/" could appear and the "Libsvm" could be all capital "LIBSVM". Honestly, I have no idea how a link should appear in Bibliography. What I think might be not professional. Please advise me how to put it in a professional way. Thanks and regards!

  • Running SQL script through psql gives syntax errors that don't occur in PgAdmin

DROP TABLE IF EXISTS "State" CASCADE; CREATE TABLE "State" ( StateID SERIAL PRIMARY KEY NOT NULL, StateName VARCHAR(50) ); It runs fine in the query tool of PgAdmin.     As a learning exercise I'm trying to put myself a blogging system. The goal is to code something that will let me create multiple blogs, like blogger.com or wordpress.com, but much simplified. I would like to ask you, what do you think is best database design for this type of script. Is it better to have one big table, containing posts from all blogs of all users (like friendfeed) or would it be better to create separate table for each blog's posts?     Hi, I've seen numerous answers to similar questions like this one. I haven't seen on the web many people have asked the seemingly simple question "How do I connect Access 2007 to an SQL server 2008 database" - but all of the answers describe how you can migrate from access 2007 to an sql server 2008 database, or they describe how to connect access 2007 to an sql server 2005 database. I can't find any simple solution to my problem (and probably this is a problem for many others). Here is the question (sorry for the over emphasis): How do I connect to an sql server 2008 database (and I mean 2008, not 2005 :) ) from access 2007? Apologies again for the over emphasis, but this very simple question, and what I thought should be a very simple task seems, yes, ... impossible! I tried running sql server browser, enabling pipes, TCP etc, but it seems that with 2008 SQLEXPRESS just isn't recognised! Please can someone help with this. Peter

  • Postgresql 8.4 reading OID style BLOBs with Hibernate

    I am getting this weird case when querying Postgres 8.4 for some records with Blobs (of type OIDs) with Hibernate. The query does return all right but when my code wants to read the content of the BLOB with the simple code below, it gets 0 bytes back public static byte[] readBlob(Blob blob) throws Exception { InputStream is = null; try { is = blob.getBinaryStream(); return org.apache.commons.io.IOUtils.toByteArray(is); } finally { if (is != null) try { is.close(); } catch(Exception e) {} } } Funny think is that I am getting this behavior only since I've started adding more then one such records to the table.     I know both ie and firefox have limits for javascript execution here: hxxp://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=175500 Based on number of statements executed, I heard it was 5 million somewhere in ie hxxp://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:_iKHhdfpN-MJ:kb.mozillazine.org/Dom.max_script_run_time+dom.max_script_run_time&hl=en&gl=ca&strip=1 (google cache since site takes forever to load for me) based on number of seconds in firefox, it's 10 seconds by default for my version The thing I don't get is what cases will go over these limits: I'm sure a giant loop will go over the limit for execution time But will an event hander go over the limit, if itself it's execution time is under the limit but if it occurs multiple times? Example: Lets say I have a timer on my page, that executes some javascript every 20 seconds. The execution time for the timer handler is 1 second. Does firefox and ie treat each call of the timer function seperatly, so it never goes over the limit, or is it that firefox/ie adds up the time of each call so after the handler finishes, so after 200 seconds on my site (with the timer called 10 times) an error occurs even though the timer handler itself is only 1 second long?

It seems that everyone is using TortoiseSVN nowadays, which unfortunately doesn't install without administrator access. Is there any way around it or another client I can try?     I'm using mod_wsgi apache2 adapter for a django site and I like to call some bash process within a view, using the usual ... p = subprocess.Popen("/home/example.com/restart-tomcat.sh", shell=True) sts = os.waitpid(p.pid, 0)[1] ... This code works perfectly from within a usual python shell but does nothing (I can trace right now) when called within django. Am I missing some wsgi constraints? The script has 755 perms, so it should be executable. Thanks.

The setting in the transaction.properties that is suppose to control the level of messaging com.atomikos.icatch.console_log_level does not seem to have any effect, since even when set to WARN (or ERROR) the INFO messages are still logged. Also the log4j settings for com.atomikos and atomikos seem to be ignored. Does anyone manage to turn off the INFO logs on the console with Atomikos?. How? Thanks Peter

  • Any implementations of graph st-ordering or ear-decomposition?

    I'm in the search for an implementation of an ear-decomposition algorithm (http://www.ics.uci.edu/~eppstein/junkyard/euler/ear.html). I examined networkx and didn't find one. Although the algorithm layout is vaguely in my mind, I'd like to see some reference implementation, too. I'm aware of Ulrik Brandes publication on a linear time Eager st-ordering algorithm, which results in an ear decomposition as a side product, if I understand correctly (it even includes pseudocode, which I'm trying to base my implementation on). Side problem: First step could be an st-ordering of a graph. Are there any implementations for st-ordering algorithms you know? Thanks for your input. I'd really like to contribute e.g. to networkx by implementing the ear-decomposition algorithm in python.

    Okay, So I am writing an OpenCart extension that must allow Arabic characters when posting data. Whenever I post ????? the print_r($_POST) returns with this: u0645u0631u062du0628u0627 I check the HTML header and it has this: <meta charset="UTF-8" /> I checked the PHP file that triggers all SQL queries and it has this code: mysql_query("SET NAMES 'utf8'", $this->link); mysql_query("SET CHARACTER SET utf8", $this->link); mysql_query("SET CHARACTER_SET_CONNECTION=utf8", $this->link); This is in my form tag: <form action="<?php echo $action; ?>" method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data" id="form" accept-charset="utf-8"> I can't think of what else I am doing wrong. The rest of the OpenCart framework supports UTF8 and arabic characters. It is just in this instance where I can't post anything arabic? Could someone please help me? Many Thanks Peter

  • C#: How to Make it Harder for Hacker/Cracker to Get Around or Bypass the Licensing Check?

    Hi all, Suppose that the user has saved the License file under the Application.StartupPath, where all users can read. And then, every time when the app starts, it will check if it can find and verify the license file. If the app can find and verify, we let the user to continue with full functinalities. If not, we prompt a MessageBox showing "Unlicencsed, continue to use with trial version, functionalities limited." My question is, if I'm a hacker/cracker, I would try to get around or bypass the licensing check instead of cracking the license file, because, if we use RSA signature, it's very difficult to crack a license file. Peter P.S.: and also, is it safe if I put a global variable IsLicensed (true / false) to limit the functionalities? Is it easy for a hacker to change IsLicensed = true?

  • what's the story with the android XML namespace?

    When you first use a name from the android XML namespace, you have to say where to find it, with an attribute in XML like this: <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" However, that URL is a 404 - nothing found there. The android: namespace is actually included under the locally-installed SDK. So what's going on here? Why do I need to include a dead URL? Why doesn't the build system pick it up from the SDK like all the other libraries? Thanks, just looking for the back story on this. Peter
