    I am trying to get the id of the clicked/shown element in fancybox. I have tried both "this.id" and "this.attr("id")" - but none of them works. $("a.lightbox_image").fancybox({ 'transitionIn': 'elastic', 'transitionOut': 'elastic', 'speedIn': 600, 'speedOut': 200, 'content': 'Id of element clicked'+this.attr("id") }); Any suggestions?

  • jQuery animate slidding background image using mouse position wont stop... just keeps going

    I have a neat little jQuery script I am working on. Goal: parent div with overflow hidden holds a larger div with image. When I move the mouse to the left or right of the parent div, the div with image changes margin-left to move left or right. Problem is... if I move the mouse out of the parent div (left or right), the image keeps going. I need the image to stop when the mouse is not on the inside left or right edge of the parent div. How do I set the hide the element before the page loads whilst keeping the ability to show hide it dynamically with a script?

    I would like to make sure if a textbox has any content at all, that jQuery can show it's parent (an <li class="hidden_dedication") element and set add a class of 'shown'. How can I access these other keys? Even a standard user account can read the content of both Games and that account's own SID (when looking in regedit)...

    Lets assume I have a file on a CDN (Cloud Files from Rackspace) and a static html page with a link to that file. Is there any way I can force download this file (to prevent it from opening in the browser -- for mp3s for example)? We could make our server read the file and set the corresponding header to: header("Content-Type: application/force-download") but we have about 5 million downloads per month so we would rather let the CDN take care of that. Any ideas?

Can I arrange for my search to automatically yield all the content of all related parents with this child too? Or must I always take the reference from the child and put this in a second SELECT statement and exec this myself?
