  • Spring 3 MVC - how to turn a form into a query string?

    - by caerphilly
    I have a simple Spring form that gets bound to a form object on post. The http POST handler does some work, and then needs to redirect to a new URL, passing the form data as querystring parameters. So, assuming I have a form backing object with properties "param1" and "param2", I want to build a string that looks something like this: redirect:/app/new/page?param1=value;param2=value Now, Spring will automatically bind values FROM a querystring or a form post into my form object, but I want to GENERATE a querystring with values taken from the form object. Obviously it's trivial to do this manually but since I'm going to have lots of different form backing objects, is there some built-in facility in Spring to generate a query string from a form object, suitable for building into a URL? Thanks.

  • Windbg pseudoregister expansion

    - by Giuseppe Guerrini
    Hi, I am trying to automate a device driver's debug session in Windows XP with Windbg. My device has an "index" register and a "data" register, both memory mapped. The index register must be filled with the internal register's index, and the value can be read from the data register. So, the followind Windbg command prints correctly the value of the internel register 0x4C: !ed [uc] 0xfa000000 0x4c; !dd [uc] 0xfa000004 L1 Now I would like to dump a range of internal registers, but it seems that the alias expansion doesn't work as expected in the !ed command. I am trying this cycle: .for (r $t0=0; @$t0<0x100; r $t0=@$t0+1) { !ed [uc] 0xfa000000 @$t0; !dd [uc] 0xfa000004 L1 } but it seems that the !ed command is ignored, as if @$t0 was expanded in an empty string. Tried "$t0", "@$t0", "${t0}" and "@${t0}", but without success. What am I doing wrong? Thank you in advance

  • is there a such thing as a randomly accessible pseudo-random number generator? (preferably open-sour

    - by lucid
    first off, is there a such thing as a random access random number generator, where you could not only sequentially generate random numbers as we're all used to, assuming rand100() always generates a value from 0-100: for (int i=0;i<5;i++) print rand100() output: 14 75 36 22 67 but also randomly access any random value like: rand100(0) would output 14 as long as you didn't change the seed rand100(3) would always output 22 rand100(4) would always output 67 and so on... I've actually found an open-source generator algorithm that does this, but you cannot change the seed. I know that pseudorandomness is a complex field; I wouldn't know how to alter it to add that functionality. Is there a seedable random access random number generator, preferably open source? or is there a better term for this I can google for more information? if not, part 2 of my question would be, is there any reliably random open source conventional seedable pseudorandom number generator so I could port it to multiple platforms/languages while retaining a consistent sequence of values for each platform for any given seed?

  • Display different xsl:attribute depending on the ending of a string

    - by Johann
    Dear All, I have the following xsl code in an xsl document <A target="_blank" style="text-decoration=none"> <xsl:attribute name="href">viewdoc.aspx?doc=<xsl:value-of select="URLFilePath"/>&amp;mode=inline</xsl:attribute> <xsl:attribute name="prefix"><xsl:value-of select="FileName"/>: </xsl:attribute> <IMG src="images/word_small.gif" border="0"/> </A> and in the code-behind I am doing this newItemNode = xmlDocument.CreateElement("URLFilePath") newItemNode.InnerText = correctedPath xmlItemNode.ParentNode.AppendChild(newItemNode) Now that works fine for word documents. However I need a way in code to check the extension of the file, and display the correct Image and xsl:attribute depending on the If statement. So the If statement will be like this:- If correctedPath.ToLower.Contains(".doc") Then //display the word icon and attributes Else //display the excel icon and attributes End If Can you please give me some tips and help on how I can achieve this? Thanks

  • C++: A variation of priority queue

    - by Helltone
    I need some kind of priority queue to store pairs <key, value>. Values are unique, but keys aren't. I will be performing the following operations (most common first): random insertion; retrieving (and removing) all elements with the least key. random removal (by value); I can't use std::priority_queue because it only supports removing the head. For now, I'm using an unsorted std::list. Insertion is performed by just pushing new elements to the back (O(1)). Operation 2 sorts the list with std::sort (O(N*logN)), before performing the actual retrieval. Removal, however, is O(n), which is a bit expensive. Any idea of a better data structure?

  • WPF DependencyProperty event before content changed

    - by morsanu
    First I will explain the context of the problem, because you might be able to point me in a better direction. I need to implement a undo-redo like system on an object. The object has a series of dependency properties. Some are double, int, string but some are also of DependencyObject type. I need to save the value of the property before it is changed, and for this I added the CoerceValueCallback. public static readonly DependencyProperty MyBackgroundProperty = DependencyProperty.Register("MyBackground", typeof(MyCustomizableBackground), typeof(MyComponent), new UIPropertyMetadata(default(MyCustomizableBackground), null, new CoerceValueCallback(OnPropertyChanged))); In OnPropertyChanged I save the value before it's changed. MyCustomizableBackground is the DependencyObject that has also some dependency properties. The problem is that in this case, where I have a custom object as a property, the OnPropertyChanged method isn't triggered, but when I have a common type, it is triggered.

  • Creating a proper CMS thoughts

    - by dallasclark
    I'm just about to expand the functionality of our own CMS but was thinking of restructuring the database to make it simpler to add/edit data types and values. Currently, the CMS is quite flat - the CMS requires a field in the database for every type of stored value. The first option that comes to mind is simply a table which keeps the data types (ie: Address 1, Suburb, Email Address etc) and another table which holds values for each of these data types. Just like how Wordpress keeps values in the 'options' table, serialize would be used to store an array of values. The second option is how Drupal works, the CMS creates tables for every data type. Unlike Wordpress, this can be a bit of an overkill but really useful for SQL queries when ordering and grouping by a particular value. What's everyone's thoughts?

  • REST/ROA Architecture - Send database search/querying/filter/sorting parameters in URL? (>, <, IN, e

    - by DutrowLLC
    I'm building a REST interface to my application using ROA (Resource Oriented Architecture) . I'd like to give the client the ability to specify search parameters in URL. So a client could say "Give me all people who's: "first_name" is equal to "BOB" "age" is greater than "30" sort by "last_name" I was thinking something like: GET /PEOPLE/{query_parameters}/{sort_parameters} ...or perhaps GET /PEOPLE?query=<query_string>&sort=<sort_string> ...but I'm unsure what syntax would be good for specifying in the COLUMN_NAME-OPERATOR-VALUE triplicates. I was thinking perhaps something like: column_name.operator.value So the client could say: GET /PEOPLE?query=first_name.EQUALS.bob&query=age.GREATER_THAN.30&sort=last_name.ASCENDING I really don't want to re-invent the wheel here, are there some accepted ways that this is done? I am using Restlets, I don't know if that makes a difference.

  • how to join a set of XElements to the values of a struct?

    - by jcollum
    Let's say I have a struct that contains local environments: public struct Environments { public const string Dev = "DEV"; public const string Qa1 = "SQA"; public const string Prod1 = "PROD"; public const string Prod2 = "PROD_SA"; public const string Uat = "UAT"; } And I'd like to pull a set of XElements out of an xml doc, but only those elements that have a key that matches a value in a struct. this.environments =(from e in settings.Element("Settings").Element("Environments") .Elements("Environment") .Where( x => x.HasAttribute("name") ) join f in [struct?] on e.Attribute("name") equals [struct value?]).ToDictionary(...) How would I go about doing this? Do I need reflection to get the values of the constants in the struct?

  • jQuery UI Autocomplete formating help, (I'm new to jQuery)

    - by brant
    I can't seem to figure out how to add additional functionality to the basic jquery autocomplete. Returning the json data isn't the problem, it's how I am supposed to use the extra json data that confuses me. $(function() { $("#q").autocomplete({ source: "/a_complete.php?sport=<?=$sport?>", minLength: 2 }); }); Response data: [{"pos":"SG","url":"\/nba_player_news\/Kobe_Bryant","value":"Kobe Bryant"},{"pos":"C","url":"\/nba_player_news\/Patrick_O'Bryant","value":"Patrick O'Bryant"}] My goal is something like this: Kobe Bryant (SG) I've read what jqueryui autocomplete documentation has to say and I know i need to use formatItem and/or formatResult. I can't seem to put it all together to make this work as it should. I hope someone with a lot of patience finds the time to help guide me to where I need to go. :)

  • Inserting nil Values into Sqlite Database?

    - by Chris
    I am working on an iPhone App where I am pulling data from an XML file and inserting it into a sqlite database located in the App. I am able to successfully do this process, but it appears that if I try to sqlite3_bind_text with a NSString that has a value of "nil", the App quickly dies. This is an example of code that fails: (modified for this example) // idvar = 1 // valuevar = nil const char *sqlStatement = "insert into mytable (id, value) VALUES(?, ?)"; sqlite3_stmt *compiledStatement = nil; sqlite3_prepare_v2(database, sqlStatement, -1, &compiledStatement, NULL); sqlite3_bind_int(compiledStatement, 1, [idvar intValue]);; sqlite3_bind_text(compiledStatement, 2, [valuevar UTF8String], -1, SQLITE_TRANSIENT);

  • Operation timeout thrown using WebDav

    - by Izabela
    I build a desktop application in C# to send an email notification to a set of subscribed users. I am using Webdav to implement this function and using OWA (Outlook web access) and everything works fine till the 33 mail then 'Operation Timeout' exception is thrown. I can rerun my application to send emails to the remaining users but again after some emails again exception occurrs. Of course i could like to perform this operation in one run. I've tried adding some timeout value to my HttpWebRequest object and also put some Thread.Spleep value after sending each mail so that each http web request doesn't interfere with the following request. But now i am stuck with this timeout exception and no idea how to handle it. One idea would be that my logged in session in owa expired but i am loggin in each time a send a new email. Please can you provide me some help if you experienced with Web dav.

When I've entered values in both textboxes and and clicked the submit method.

  • java.util.BitSet -- set() doesn't work as expected

    - by dwhsix
    Am I missing something painfully obvious? Or does just nobody in the world actually use java.util.BitSet? The following test fails: @Test public void testBitSet() throws Exception { BitSet b = new BitSet(); b.set(0, true); b.set(1, false); assertEquals(2, b.length()); } It's really unclear to me why I don't end up with a BitSet of length 2 and the value 10. I peeked at the source for java.util.BitSet, and on casual inspection it seems to fail to make sufficient distinction between a bit that's been set false and a bit that has never been set to any value... (Note that explicitly setting the size of the BitSet in the constructor has no effect, e.g.: BitSet b = new BitSet(2);

  • Using a variable as identifier in a json array

    - by Robbert van den Bogerd
    Hi folks! I'm wondering if it is possible to use assigned variables as identifier in a json array. When I tried this, I was getting some unexpected results: (Code is simplified, parameters are passed in a different way) var parameter = 'animal'; var value = 'pony'; Util.urlAppendParameters (url, {parameter : value}); Util.urlAppendParameters = function(url, parameters) { for (var x in parameters) { alert(x); } } Now the alert popup says: 'parameter' instead of 'animal'. I know I could use a different method (creating an array and assigning every parameter on a new line), but I want to keep my code compact. So my question is: Is it possible to use a variable as an identifier in the json array, and if so, could you please tell me how? Thanks in advance!

So it seems I would need to test all cipher suites one at a time. I think I can hack something together, but is there a tool that does particularly this?

  • What are pointers to class members used for?

    - by srikfreak
    I have read about pointers to class members, but I have never seen them being used in any practical applications. Can someone explain what are the use cases of such pointers? Is it really necessary to have such pointers? Eg. class abc { public: int a; abc(int val) { a = val; } }; int main { int abc::*data; abc obj(5); data = &abc::a; cout << "Value of a is " << obj.*data << endl; return 0; } In the above eg. why is the value of 'a' accessed in this manner? What is the advantage of using pointers to class members?

UPD: I have one poor solution: object NonRecursiveParser extends RegexParsers with PackratParsers{ var max = -1 val maxInput2Consume = 25 def uninteresting:Regex ={ if(max<maxInput2Consume){ max+=1 ("."+"{0,"+max.toString+"}").r }else{ throw new Exception("I am tired") } } lazy val value = "itt".r def parser:Parser[Any] = (uninteresting~>value)|parser def parseQuery(input:String) = { try{ parse(parser, input) }catch{ case e:Exception => } } } Disadvantages: - not all members are lazy vals so PackratParser will have some time penalty - constructing regexps on every "uninteresting" method call - time penalty - using exception to control program - code style and time penalty

  • Find what unknown function does in C using gdb

    - by Gary
    Hi, I have a function m(int i, char c) which takes and returns a char between "-abc...xyz" and also takes an integer i. Basically I have no way to see the source code of the function but can call it and get the return value. Using gdb/C, what's the best way to decipher what the function actually does? I've tried looking for patterns using consecutive chars and integer inputs but have come up with nothing yet. If it helps, here are some results of testing the return values, with the first two bits being the arguments and the last bit being the return value: 0 a i 0 b l 0 c t 0 d x 0 e f 0 f v 1 a q 1 b i 1 c y 1 d e 2 a a 2 b y 2 c f 2 d n
