• Why setValue at not working on Jtable?

  Hey Guys I am doing project on java. In one of the class, I am working on jtable. Now what i am doing is, In the table data will be loaded from the database. Now i want to change some value at some exact row and column. so for that i am using jtable's setValue function. which is like this.... grayCardTbl.setValueAt(Float.valueOf(String.valueOf(pdiff)),1,4); I have checked the "pdiff" variable, it is perfect. i had total 5 columns and 10 rows. So now problem with rowindex and column index. and after this i have also refresh the table. but still it is not reflecting on table.

  can someone show a description of the information of what a pgp looks like if only the descriptions were there but not the actual information? something like (i dont remember if the values are correct): packet-type[4 bits], total length in bytes[16 bits], packet version type [4 bits], creation-time[32 bits], encryption-algorithm[8 bits], ...,etc,etc ive tried to understand rfc4880, but its tedious and confusing. so far, i am think i have extracted the 4 i wrote above, but i cant seem to get the rest of the information out. can anyone help? i know i can just find some pgp program, but the whole point of this is to allow me to learn how those programs work in the first place

• PHP: Filling in the 'gaps' in an array

  Hey gurus, I've got a php array (obtained through checkbox values in a form - as you know checkboxes only show up in the _POST variable when they are not set). Array ( [2] => 0,2 [3] => 0,3 ) I need a way to 'fill in' the gaps between the range 0-5. So above would look like (filling the empty spaces with '-1'. I tried array_merge() with an array filled with '-1' but that didn't work. Array ( [0] => -1 [2] => 0,2 [3] => 0,3 [4] => -1 [5] => -1 ) I think I may have gone down the wrong road with the problem I am trying to solve, but I have put too much time into this solution to back out - a feeling I am sure most of you are familiar with(!) • Convert void* representation of a dword to wstring

  I am having dumb monday so my apologies for posting such a newbie-like question. I am using CRegKey.QueryValue to return a dword value from the registry. QueryValue writes the value into void* pData and the length into ULONG* pnBytes. Now there is a way of getting it from pData into a wstring probably via stringstream. The closest I came was getting the result as a hex string. I was about to work on converting the hex representation to a dword and then from there to a wstring when I decided that was just dumb and ask on here instead of wasting another hour of my life on the problem.

• gethostbyname in C

  I don't know how to write applications in C, but I need a tiny program that does: lh = gethostbyname("localhost"); output = lh->h_name; output variable is to be printed. The above code is used in PHP MongoDB database driver to get the hostname of the computer (hostname is part of an input to generate an unique ID). I'm skeptical that this will return the hostname, so I'd like some proof. Any code examples would be most helpful. Happy day, Matic

• Rotation of two objects in relation

  I've got a two sprites- I'll say I have a swing and a person. The swing 'swings' back and forth as I passed a rotation variable into spriteBatch.Draw(). Now I want my person to 'sit' on the swing, and am not sure of how to approach it. Since I want a relative to the swing sprite, I tried personPos=swingPos, but that obviously doesn't work as the swing's position is always the same (it's anchored to a point and swings from there). How would I make the person sprite follow the swinging part of the swing sprite, if that makes any sense?

• How do I fire an asynchronous call in asp classic and ignore the response?

  Here's the gist: I have a call I want to make in asp, and I do not care about the response. I just want to fire the call and I do not want the page to wait for the response. What I can gather from the internet is that users do something like the following: While xmlhttp.readyState <> 4 xmlhttp.waitForResponse 1000 Wend Am I crazy in that this does not really seem like an asynchrous call anymore though if you are waiting for a response? putting the line xmlhttp.waitForResponse 1 right after the send will cause the request to fire, but again, I don't want to wait a second. Any thoughts?

  Hey, I've written a function to copy any variable type into a byte vector, however whenever I insert something it gets inserted in reverse. Here's the code. template <class Type> void Packet::copyToByte(Type input, vector<uint8_t>&output) { copy((uint8_t*) &input, ((uint8_t*) &input) + sizeof(Type), back_inserter(output)); } Now whenever I add for example a uint16_t with the value 0x2f1f it gets inserted as 1f 2f instead of the expected 2f 1f. • How do I record streams in chunks on Flash Media Server.

  I want to record a stream which is published with Flash Live Encoder to FMS 3.5, but split the recording in files with predefined length. For example if a stream 'webcam' is published I want to record it in chunks of 10 minutes: 'webcam1.flv', 'webcam2.flv' ... From what I can tell there's no facility to work with timers. The only solution I could think of was using stream.record() with a time limit parameter but that seems like a hack because it triggers NetStream.Record.DiskQuotaExceeded on the stream when the recordin should stop and start recording another chunk. Has anyone done something similar?

• AJAX response inside jqplot not working

  I'm trying to render data from an AJAX response as a bar chart with jqplot. To render this bar chart I use two variables: s1 which contains the numbers ex: s1 = [22,67,32,89] ticks which contains the name corresponding to a number inside s1 ex: ticks = ["Jack", "Mary", "Paul", "John"] So my AJAX returns two variables, data1 and data2. • How to convert JavaScript dictionary into Python syntax

  Writing out javascript dictionary from inside of JavaScript- enabled application (such as Adobe) into external .jsx file (or any other .txt file) the context of resulted file dictionary looks like: ({one:"1", two:"2"}) (Please note that each dictionary keys are written as they are the variables name (which is not true). A next step is to read this .jsx file with Python. I need to find a way to convert ({one:"1", two:"2"}) into Python dictionary syntax such as: {'one':"1", 'two':"2"} It has been already suggested that instead of using JavaScript's built-in dict.toSource() it would make more sense to use JSON which would write a dictionary content in similar to Python syntax. But unfortunately using JSON is not an option for me. I need to find a way to convert ({one:"1", two:"2"}) into {'one':"1", 'two':"2"} using Python alone. Any suggestions on how to achieve it? Once again, the problem mostly in dictionary keys syntax which inside of Python look like variable names instead of strings-like dictionary keys names: one vs "one"

  I'm making a custom button in Java that has two states, mousePressed, and mouseReleased. At the same time, if I wanted to reuse this button, so that other event listeners can register with it, are these the appropriate steps I should do: override addActionListener(ActionListener action) override removeActionListener(ActionListener action) have a private variable like List <ActionListener> list = new List <ActionListener>() to keep track of when events get added and some sort of function with for loop to run all the actions: public void runListeners() { for (ActionListener al : list) { al.actionPerfomed; } } I'm not really sure if this is the way you can do it or if there are other things I am missing. Like does my custom class have to be implements ActionListener? Thanks.

  I need to return a full directory name from inside a specified directory that contains .default in the folder name. Basically I'm adding a line in a backup script to backup firefox bookmarks, but the profile name is going to be different on every machine and I need a way to find the folder the bookmarks.html file resides without knowing the firefox profile name I've looked at FIND and FINDSTR but neither seem to be what I need.   I have some survey data which I'm using Stata to analyze. I want to compute means of one variable by group and save those means to a Stata file. My code looks like this: svyset [iw=wtsupp], sdrweight(repwtp1-repwtp160) vce(sdr) svy: mean x I tried svy: by grp: mean x but that did not work. I could save each mean to a separate file by simply saying svy: mean x if grp==1 but that's inefficient. Is there a better way? Saving results to a file like one can use SAS ODS to capture results is also a need. I am not talking about the log here. I need the means and the associated group. I'm thinking estimates save [path],replace but I'm not sure if that will give me a Stata file or the group if I can figure out how to use by processing.

  I have a code to concatenate strings. However, for some reason, the final string is not a combination of the required strings. Consider the following code : //cusEmail is of type String[] String toList = ""; for(i=0; i < cusEmail.length - 1; i++) { toList.concat(cusEmail[i]); toList.concat("; "); System.out.println(cusEmail[i]); } toList.concat(cusEmail[i]); System.out.println(toList); The first sout statement displays the strings in cusEmail[i] correctly. However, once concatenated, the second sout displays a blank / empty. Any reason for this? Am i concatenating it correctly?

• iPhone filesystem POSIX-compliant?

  Hi all, I'm trying to pass some files from one app to another. I communicate the path (via a custom URL). The target application cannot read the file, citing errno 13 (permission denied). I've checked the permissions on file - they're 0644 (O+R), the permissions on directories all the way up to the root are 755 (O+RX). From a POSIX perspective, the file should be readable to any process and any user. Yet it's not. Any ideas, please? I can think of some workarounds. I could use a Web service (upload, get a cookie, communicate the cookie to the other app, other app downloads). I could also pass the actual file data in the URL - unelegant, and probably subject to length limitations. Clipboard is not supported on iPhone OS 2 IIRC.

• How can I handle maxRequestLength exceptions elegantly?

  In my ASP.NET MVC (v2 if it matters) app, I have a page that allows the user to upload a file. I've configured the maxRequestLength for my app to allow files up to 25MB. As a test, I send it a 500MB file which throws the exception: Maximum request length exceeded. (I only know this because ELMAH catches the error and logs it.) In my web.config, I've set customErrors mode="On" with a defaultRedirect, but the user isn't redirected at all, they don't even get a yellow-screen-of-death. In Chrome, for example, you'll see the error: Error 101 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET): Unknown error. Is it possible to provide a more elegant user experience for this situation?

• My object becomes NSCFArray when running on iPhone

  I'm really scratching my head on this one: I have an object (MyObject) which I instantiate, and this object has an NSArray member variable. The following simple code working in the sim: MyObject *myObj = [[MyObject alloc] init]; NSArray *arr = [myObj myMemberArray]; When I hover over myObj in XCode the tooltip reads "MyObject". Good! But when I debug it on the device (OS 3.1.3) I get: "[NSCFArray myMemberArray]: unrecognized selector sent to instance ... " When I hover over myObj, sure enough it reads "NSCFArray". Can anyone give me some pointers on where to go next with this? Thanks.
