  • Equivalent of NextResult() method in Dataset/DataAdapter?

    - by flopdix
Hi All, I have a stored procedure that contains 3 select statements hence i get 3 resultsets. I am aware that using SqlDataReader, i can use NextResult() method to jump to the 2nd or 3rd resultsets by calling it twice or thrice. But i want to use the dataset/dataadapter, is there any ways that i can achieve this by not changing my stored procedure? tia!

  • Navigating the Content Assist List in Eclipse

    - by Jack
Here are the ways the Eclipse documentation states you can navigate the Content Assist list: You can use the mouse or the keyboard (Up Arrow, Down Arrow, Page Up, Page Down, Home, End, Enter) to navigate and select lines in the list. But all of the options require you to move your hands significantly away from their natural place on the keyboard! Are there any other, quicker ways I can navigate this list? Something like tab, or the j/k from vi?

    - by openidsujoy
I am very new to SQL Server Stored Procedures, I am trying to create a SP that will give return a list of records in a table by filter via StartDate and EndDate , but there will be 'View All' Option so sometime those @Param might not contain any values. Currently my SP is Like CREATE PROCEDURE [dbo].[spGetBonusRun] ( @StartDate as DATETIME, @EndDate as DATETIME ) AS SELECT [Id] ,[StartDateTime] ,[EndDate] ,[Status] FROM [Valt].[dbo].[BonusRun] WHERE StartDateTime <= @StartDate AND EndDate >= @EndDate How to active that ?

  • how to create a dynamic sql statement w/ python and mysqldb

    - by Elias Bachaalany

An SQL exception might be raised on error @return: SQL cursor object """ cursor = self.conn.cursor() if self.__debug_sql: try: print "sql_exec: " % (sql_stmt % args) except: print "sql_exec: " % sql_stmt cursor.execute(sql_stmt, args) return cursor def test(self, limit = 0): result = sql_exec(""" SELECT * FROM table """ + ("LIMIT %s" if limit else ""), (limit, )) while True: row = result.fetchone() if not row: break print row result.close() How can I nicely write test() so it works with or without 'limit' without having to write two queries?

  • List of existing Android Virtual Devices empty

    - by sunpech
I'm new to Android development and I'm currently going through some tutorials. When I setup a new Android Project in Eclipse, and select Windows - Android SDK and AVD Manager, in Virtual Devices, the list of existing Android Virtual Devices is empty. Is it supposed to be? From the pictures in the tutorial, it's pre-populated. Can I download these AVDs from somewhere, am I missing something here? Also, I'm developing this on my Macbook Pro.

  • SQL error - Cannot convert nvarchar to decimal

    - by jakesankey
I have a C# application that simply parses all of the txt documents within a given network directory and imports the data to a SQL server db. Everything was cruising along just fine until about the 1800th file when it happend to have a few blanks in columns that are called out as DBType.Decimal (and the value is usually zero in the files, not blank). So I got this error, "cannot convert nvarchar to decimal". I am wondering how I could tell the app to simply skip the lines that have this issue?? Perhaps I could even just change the column type to varchar even tho values are numbers (what problems could this create?) • overriding big popup on directions Google Maps

    - by Glycerine
I've happily implemented v2 of Google maps to my site without a hitch, I also successfully perform a drive directions using GDirections.load(). What I need to do is stop the popup of the mini map when you select a particular step in the routing directions. So when the user clicks on say "step 3", instead of the default popup showing a mini map, I'd like to add a custom icon to that position. Hope it makes sense Thanks in advance guys.

  • Convert SQL server datetime fields to compare date parts only, with indexed lookups

    - by Caveatrob
I've been doing a convert(varchar,datefield,112) on each date field that I'm using in 'between' queries in SQL server to ensure that I'm only accounting for dates and not missing any based on the time part of datetime fields. Now, I'm hearing that the converts aren't indexable and that there are better methods, in SQL Server 2005, to compare the date part of datetimes in a query to determine if dates fall in a range. What is the optimal, indexable, method of doing something like this: select * from appointments where appointmentDate='08-01-2008' and appointmentDate<'08-15-2008'

  • Year dropdown range - when do we stop?

    - by Andrew Heath
I attended a payroll software demo yesterday wherein the year dropdowns throughout the software ran from 2000 to 2200. Now, we've all been down this road before with 2 digit shortsight, but honestly - a 200 year service life for a Java & Oracle payroll system? Our Board of Directors would be thrilled if the company was even solvent for 1/4th that long. When forced to use a dropdown year select, where do you draw the line?

  • Pass a value to an inFrame

    - by user106707
This probably an easy thing to do but for some reason I can't get a handle on it. I have a simple form that allows people to select one if three items for sale. When they chose their item I need to pass that variable into an iFrame with a third party checkout page to safely process their cc transaction. How would I do this? Cheers-

  • Sorting based on existing elements in xslt

    - by Teelo
Hi , I want to sort in xslt based on existing set of pattern . Let me explain with the code: <Types> <Type> <Names> <Name>Ryan</Name> </Names> <Address>2344</Address> </Type> <Type> <Names> </Name>Timber</Name> </Names> <Address>1234</Address> </Type> <Type> <Names> </Name>Bryan</Name> </Names> <Address>34</Address> </Type> </Types> Right now I m just calling it and getting it like (all hyperlinks) Ryan Timber Bryan Now I don't want sorting on name but I have existing pattern how I want it to get displayed.Like Timber Bryan Ryan (Also I don't want to lose the url attached to my names earlier while doing this) I was thinking of putting earlier value in some array and sort based on the other array where I will store my existing pattern. But I am not sure how to achieve that.. My xslt looks like this now(there can be duplicate names also) <xsl:for-each select="/Types/Type/Names/Name/text()[generate-id()=generate-id(key('Name',.)[1])]"> <xsl:call-template name="typename"> </xsl:call-template> </xsl:for-each> <xsl:template name="typename"> <li> <a href="somelogicforurl"> <xsl:value-of select="."/> </a> </li> </xsl:template> I am using xsl 1.0
