Is there a Mount Image tool for Acronis True Image 2010 home edition? I do not want to install the software, just view contents of a .tib file created with Acronis True Image 2010 home?
I don't want to install PowerToys, I'd rather a simpler solution for this specific problem.
I've tried Ctrl+Shift+Right-Click.
I've tried adding a registry script, but I get the following error:
Cannot import D:\Admin\Reg\Open command window here (Administrator)\Open command window here (Administrator).reg: The specified file is not a registry script.
You can only import binary registry files from within the registry editor.
Any suggestions?
Is it possible for MacOS X (current version or in any previous one) to easily
force DHCP client to send to DHCP server, at the beggining of the conversation - in DHCPDISCOVER packet - option "Vendor Class Identifier" (60) set to some value?
I know that I can install i.e. ISC DHCP client through pkgsrc which supports VCI, but I'm looking for something native.
Thank you in advance for information.
I heard once there was a software that could log your activity (form a developer point of view) like:
How many key did you press
How many hours you moved the mouse
This software had cloud saving so you could install and use on all your pc/notebook.
It would be cool if by 5 years I could know how many lines of code/text I have wrote or how many time I have worked
Please note I don't want a keylogger (I just want to know my activity over time)
After i install last versions of Opera till Opera 10.53 i always found on their startup page http://www.opera.com/portal/startup/ that opera is The fastest browser on Earth ... is it really although i think that chrome is the really fast one during my use in last 16 month ?

Is there any advantage to use a Linux machine to develop instead of Windows?
Everyone at work tells me to switch to Linux, since I'm developing hard-core on linux anyway.
I manage 40 servers, and do everything from DB to data-backend to developing web services.
I don't find anything wrong with Putty. I"m just too lazy to install another OS...
What do you guys think?
I like to try Amanda's and Bacula's NDMP backup features, but I don't wan't to try it out on the live NAS, just yet.
Ideally would I like to find out which that suites me best, and get familiar with before trying to make a real NDMP backup from the NAS.
Question
Is it somehow possible to simulate a NDMP backup with some Linux hosts?
Or formulated in another way:
Does there exist a NDMP daemon I can install on a Linux host, so it pretends to be a NAS?
Hi guys,
I've installed SQL Server 2008 R2, but connecting to my local machine in SQL Management Studio fails:
Putting "localhost" or "." as the server name results in the same error.
I've narrowed down the problem: there are no SQL services installed:
Bringing up the Services control panel applet shows me there are no MS SQL services installed.
Things I've tried:
Repair install of SQL
Complete uninstall and reinstall of all MS SQL products.
How can I get SQL Server running?
I bought a notebook, Sony Vaio VPC-EB1M1E and I want to make partition and use both windows-7 and Linux(Ubuntu).
Should I make partition from inside windows, or should make partition using recovery discs?
There is windows-installer version of Ubuntu, should I use it, or should I install it separately?
Thanks.
Hello
I installed Win7 a while ago, and now I'm wondering if there is no sidebar in Win7? I can't find it, running "sidebar" (win+r) doesn't find it. It's not in the processes either. Is there a way to install it?

Hi!
I need to install an ISAPI extension on IIS 5.1 using command line. On windows server 2003 there is a script iisext.vbs but on windows xp it's not present.
I have a floppy I need to read the contents from - unfortunately it was formatted and the data written on an OpenVMS server. I believe the floppy is formatted "Files-11" and I can see parts of the MFT [equivalent] and file contents through a hex editor, however I would love to be able to mount this and actually read the files off.
Is there a Files-11 FUSE module or other kernel module I can install to read this format? Any standalone utilities that can understand a floppy image taken with dd?
Hey all,
I want to move to Linux (Ubuntu more specifically) and also bought a new hard drive. What I'm not really sure about is if I put my old hard drive on an external case, then install Ubuntu on the new one and configure, etc... Can I easily access my old one (which is now an external hard drive)? Will I have no problems accessing my partitions? Thanks in advance.
Im prety sure i completely removed mysql from my system, except for one thing. When i type mysql in the command line i get this
bash: /opt/local/bin/mysql5: No such file or directory
How is it still recognizing where it thinks mysql should be? I'm trying to build it myself in /usr/local, and when i do install it there, i still get that error message for it looking for it in opt/local.
Hello,
I am using Unix (Debian) as my server platform and want to configure the following:
A remote user can connect to a secure VPN server and use its IP to access the Internet, mostly for browsing and e-mail. I read a lot about OpenS/WAN+L2PT and OpenVPN but I am still confused how I should configure it.
I would prefer IPSec+PPTP/L2PT since the road warrior doesn't have to install any extra software on iPhone/Windows7.
Is there a good how-to for IPSec or what would you suggest?
I removed all languages excepts Dutch and English from my Windows PDA phone TomTom Navigator, but some of the voices are grayed out. These are English voice from Australia, USA, New Zealand, etc. (Install from CD) How can I get rid of these voices manually so they don't appear when I scroll through the voices selection?
My users are running on windows XP 32bit. normally WSUS automatically download and notify them to select which update want to install in the past they were in local administrator rights, now I reduce them to user rights so now they can't see the yellow notification said updated are available.
Is there a way to give users permission to see the yellow notification and they can select updates by hand without local admin rights or power users?
Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks
I measured load times for a wordpress 2.9.2 install on apache 2.2.3 and I was intrigued by the long periods between connect and first byte for the css and image files.
Load Average is 0.0, 0.0, 0.0 and there are 150MB free RAM on the VPS. Pingdom results are at http://imagebin.ca/img/6UaiOU.png
How do I gain insight into the possible causes of this problem and how would I troubleshoot it?
Thanks
I wanted to install a new driver for my Wireless Network Card but Windows 7 reported the driver was up to date. So I decided to uninstall the driver. That seemed to do more than I expected...
My WiFi card no longer shows up on the computer. Nothing in Device Manager. I have no idea how to get it back.
How can I get Windows to find the device? :/
I just followed How to use Group Policy to remotely install software in Windows Server 2003 to try publishing a software (MSI file). I could follow all the steps, but the supposedly successfully published software does not appear on client/user machine's Add/Remove Programs.
Could some help figure why this may not be working.
Update:
On reading this question on Experts-Exchange, tried gpresults. Output extract follows:
COMPUTER SETTINGS
The following GPOs were not applied because they were filtered out
XADistribution
Filtering: Denied (Security)
Default Domain Policy
Filtering: Denied (Security)

What do you guys think?
For some reason, after users do the initial authentication, the system logs in (or unlocks) and locks the screen again within a few seconds (without dropping the RDP session). I've seen this on XP SP3 and Server 2k3. Clients are both major versions of the MS client, and rdesktop.
Update:
We've seen the issue on a range of machines from 2k3 server (no logon/post logon scripts on servers) to XP SP3. Multiple machines have the same issue - even coming from a fresh and fully patched install.
I have a new harddrive. I want to install XP, Vista and Windows 7 on it
Is it possible and what should be the order. I have heard there is some MBR rewriting issue?
Any 'simple' article/tutorials are welcome
Hi there
I'm thinking to install Ubuntu on my laptop just to have grub in order to boot from the EISA partition. What do you think? Do you think that might be a good idea? How will affect grub or ubuntu the EISA partition ?
