  • Avoid richfaces to send back javascript libraries in the ajax responses

    I'm using JSF 1.2 with Richfaces, and for every ajax request, the server is sending back the response, whichi is good, but it also contains all the links to the javascript files. I want to improve the performance so I just want the <body> to be returned, because all the javascript files are already loaded in the browser when the user logs in (my app is not restful). How can i do that?     I have tried removing various parts and building, but nothing makes the lnk2019 error go away, or even produces any normal errors. Everything is in the one file at the moment (it won't be later when it is finished).     I'm running VMWare Workstation 7 on Windows 7 x64. In the guest OS (also Windows 7 x64) I have VMWare Tools installed, but the VMWare Tools service is disabled. I run the VM in full screen mode and the VMWare toolbar at the top often displays this tooltip: To release input, press Ctrl+Alt This tooltip obscures a part of the VM (often the menu of a program I'm using) and it's annoying as hell. Going out of full screen mode and into it again gets rid of it, but only until I mouse over that toolbar and then it reappears! How do I get rid of it, once and for all? I tried adding hints.hideAll = "TRUE" to the .vmx file for the VM and to preferences.ini and neither of those helped.

  • Installing Win7 over PXE through Serva fails on Loading Network Resources

    Trying to install Win7 OS to a Lenovo E335 with no DVD/CD. I have to do it either over PXE/Network or USB. Although I am able to get passt the installation menu of Serva, it fails on Loading Network Resources ... FAILED No NIC/Driver, ABORTING! This is the only log on the Serva Client PC and nothing on the Serva-server. Would appreciate if someone can tell me how to go pass this error. THe network card works fine, it has already loaded the Windows installation structure on a X: drive on the new laptop. Another detail: I am using a normal Ethernet Cable to connect the PCs. Should this be enough or a crossover cable is a must in this case?

  • Annotate pdfs in Firefox on mac-os

    I have several pdfs stored locally. I have file:/// links to these pdfs in my local TiddlyWiki. When I open one of these, Firefox opens it inline, as expected. Now I want to add annotations to these pdfs as I read them. Since I have not found a way to do this when viewing them inline, I used the open in Preview feature in the context menu. This works fine, but when I want to save, Preview complains that the document is locked. It appears Firefox creates a temporary copy that it gives to preview to open, instead of the real thing. Is there any way to work around this? I want to either be able to save the annotated files from preview or to do the annotations directly in Firefox. I am using Snow-Leopard with Firefox 3.6. Edit I can annotate the pdf just fine when I open them in preview directly.

    Hello - I've been struggling for a while with a problem with ActiveSync, it is giving 401.2 errors when trying to access the mailboxes. Oddly enough, clients can get to the calendars just fine. I've tried from an Android device as well as the Exchange remote connectivity troubleshooter, same error both times. Here is the configuration: Connectivity through ISA 2006 Exchange 2007 on Windows 2008 Basic authentication is on ISA is passing through all authentication directly to the Exchange server The user IS allowed to get to ActiveSync in their Exchange mailbox settings I have tried the following, without success: * Making SSL not required * Enabling Windows Integrated and Digest authentication Here is an example of the errors in the IIS log: OPTIONS /Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync/default.eas - 443 - 192.168.32.18 TestActiveSyncConnectivity 401 2 5 0 Here is what I am seeing in my trace log: ModuleName IIS Web Core Notification 2 HttpStatus 401 HttpReason Unauthorized HttpSubStatus 2 ErrorCode 2147942405 ConfigExceptionInfo Notification AUTHENTICATE_REQUEST ErrorCode Access is denied.     Please note that I've already posted this question on the dd-wrt forums. I am using "DD-WRT v24-sp2 (08/07/10) std" on a WZR-HP-G300NH model Buffalo router. I've found a number of tutorials online that talk about using Setup-VLAN on the menu system of the GUI interface to configure VLANs, but on my own router, it appears that VLAN configuration is located elsewhere; mainly in the Setup-Networking-VLAN Tagging section of the GUI. I would gladly just use the bash shell to configure the vlans on the router, but every tutorial I read refers to "changing the gui to reflect the changes made in the bash prompt". Are there any tutorials or documentation that you are aware of that that refer to the Setup-Networking-VLAN Tagging GUI portion of my router?

    After installing the 2 files for Windows 7 Windows XP mode, the Start Menu now has Windows Virtual PC Windows XP Mode but clicking on the first merely brings out a folder, and clicking on the second brings out a dialog box that says: "Require Hardware Assisted Virtualization" Does that mean the machine cannot support Windows 7 Windows XP mode? I am running Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit edition. This is the dialog box: Update: the computer is an HP TouchSmart, with American Megatrends BIOS v02.61. I looked into the BIOS set up but it is quite simple and dosen't have something for "hardware assisted virtualization". The CPU is Intel Core 2 Duo T5750.

I am in the Finder 20 folders down and I see the file I want. I go to my application and want to open it, so I pick Open Document from the File menu.   • Can we configure windows 2008 DHCP server to not ignore the broadcast falg of DHCP requests?

    We have a Cisco WAP4410N access point that does not relay broadcast packets from the wired network to the wireless clients when the network is secured by WPA2. This cause problem with Windows server's DHCP server that respond to DHCP request by broadcasting it's OFFER instead of Unicasting it like it's asked by Windows (and Android and iOS) clients. When we had a Windows 2003 server we configured the server not to ignore the broadcast flag (following these instructions) and it solved the problem. Now we upgraded our servers to Windows 2008 servers and the problem is back. Unfortunately, it seems Windows server 2008 ignore the IgnoreBroadcastFlag parameter. Is there any other way to make sure that Windows Server 2008 respond to DHCP requests using Unicast instead of broadcast? mp

    Exchange server 2010 introduces SMS Sync (via exchange active sync), which works fine with my android device and the Samsung email app. However, all text messages are synced to my exchange inbox, which is a pain. I'd like to have them filtered to a specific folder. So far, I haven't figured out a useful filter rule for achieving that, since there seems to be no header indicating it's a text message. Has anyone managed to do that? Note that I'm not using Outlook as an email client, so I'm specifically looking for a server-side rule.

    I had Windows Vista Home Premium on HP pavilion desktop. I partitioned the disk for Ubuntu and a swap disk partition and then I installed Ubuntu 10.04. When I would start my computer, I would be given a choice to start Windows or Ubuntu. Today I reinstalled Windows, and now the menu has disappeared. I don't see in windows the disk partition that I allocated to Ubuntu, so it means Ubuntu still exist but I can't load it. What can I do ?

    I have had this problem before and fixed it, but I don't recall how I did it and I did not record it (sadness :( ) I have all the requisite commands installed on OpenSuse to support gparted's efforts in creating any of the supported file systems. I recall that the problem was that gparted could not find the commands, in any event all the file systems are greyed out in the context menu except for the legacy hfs partition which only supports < 2gb. Even extfs2-extfs4 are greyed out. How do I fix this?

    I'm trying to set up netcfg so that I can finish installing Arch Linux (using the instructions from the Beginners' Guide and netcfg) and I passed over what was meant to be a short step. Open wifi-menu, select network, enter password. After multiple attempts, I decided to edit the profile manually, which yielded no improvement. Eventually I decided to use netfcg with the more familiar wpa_supplicant. My /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf file is as follows: network={ ssid="my_ssid" #psk="my_wireless_passcode" psk="my_wireless_passcode_hex" } (Replacing generic names with my actual ssid and psk.) And my /etc/network.d/wpa_suppl file reads: CONNECTION='wireless' DESCRIPTION='A wpa_supplicant configuration based wireless connection' INTERFACE='wlan0' SECURITY='wpa-config' WPA_CONF='/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf' IP='dhcp' My ssid is not hidden, wlan0 is the proper interface, and wpa_supplicant works fine on its own, but using netcfg wpa_suppl, it returns failed to connect to wpa_supplicant - wpa_ctrl_open no such file or directory about twelve times before finally telling me the authentication failed. What can I do to fix this?

    Hello, I have two keyboard languages, Swedish and Amerikan English. Normally, I switch language by hitting [alt]+[shift] and it works like a charm. However, suddenly Microsoft Outlook has started to hang whenever I try to switch keyboard input language. Whenever i hit [alt]+[shift] or use the menu to switch language Outlook will hang indefinitely not responding. Why? and what can I do about it? I have English Windows 2000 and Outlook 2003 with the Google Search Desktop plugin.

  • Unlock file on Windows Server 2003 without rebooting

    We've several Windows Server 2003 machines running, each with its own purposes. There are scheduled jobs which synchronizes some files over SFTP using WinSCP. Very sometimes a newly copied file is left locked in the "inbox" folder without any reason. The machine's own background task (programmed in Java) can't move it to the "processed" folder anymore after processing it. Manually moving it only yields the well known error message Cannot move [filename]: it is being used by another person or program. The only resort is to reboot the machine, but we would of course like to avoid that. Any suggestions? I tried Unlocker which works fine locally at WinXP, but doesn't work at those Win2K3 machines by remote desktop (unlock option doesn't show up in rightclick context menu).

    I have two Kingston sdcards 8GB and 32GB. The 8GB for HTC Sensation and 32GB for my Tablet (Chinese). I soon ran out of space on my phone and decided to swap the data between the sdcards. I copied the data of 32GB sdcard to my PC(with Ubuntu 12.04) deleted everything on the 32GB sdcard and copied data from the 8GB sdcard to the other sdcard. At last I copied the data from my PC to the 8GB sdcard(before this I deleted everything that was on it before). Now the problem is that the 8GB sdcard has the data exactly the same, but the 32GB sdcard has some missing data. All my photos(not copied or posted on Facebook) and Songs are lost. Please help as to what I can do to get my data back? I have Android Revolution HD (ICS 4.0.3) on my rooted HTC Sensation (India). I suspect it has something to do with my data loss.

    Is there any way to configure a couple of firewall profiles in Windows 7? As I use mobile broadband on when traveling, I don't want virus scanner/windows updates etc running and chewing up my mobile data allocation. So would love to find a way to block everything except email ports and perhaps http. In the office I use WiFi and on the road tether to my android phone, also via WiFi, so can't restrict via network interface. Any ideas?

  • straight to grub prompt on boot

    I am very lost. I did a fresh install of Ubuntu 10.04 on a laptop. First reboot was fine. I ran all the recommended upgrades, and now every time I start I get just a grub>_ prompt. No error message, just the prompt, and a little banner at the top saying grub's version and telling me that I have minimal bash style editing. I've tried: 1) Re-installing grub via sudo grub-install sda (There is only one disk with only two partitions, one primary, and one for swap) 2) Changed GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT=10 GRUB_TIMEOUT=30 GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="rootdelay=90" GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="rootdelay=90" in /etc/default/grub. No luck. I can boot with the following: grub> set root=(hd0,1) grub> probe (hd0,1) -u c00fadde-f7e8-45e7-a4da-0235605f756 grub> linux /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.32-21-generic root=UUID=c00fadde-f7e8-45e7-a4da-0235605f756 rootdelay=90 grub> initrd /boot/initrd.img-2.6.32-21-generic grub> boot And then everything seems to be fine from there. From the grub prompt if I try configfile /boot/grub/grub.cfg The screen clears and I get another grub prompt.
