Hi,
I have .net webservice working in computer machines, am i not sure whether i can use the same in iphones.
Can i run the webservices webmethods that is developed for web-browsers in iphones?
Thanks.
i'm trying to find table sorting and paginating script, and i've found a good one, but there is some problem i can't understand anyway.
look at demo please
the pagination must be in the center, but in IE it on the left side.
i've download the script and try to correct it, but i can't.
maybe you can understand what is the problem, or maybe can give the link on another such script, which works on all browsers.
thanks
Hello,
I believe this question has been asked a lot of times, and I have managed to overcome this problem before whenever it occurred. Just now, I feel stuck with it and can't find a proper solution to make it work in all browsers: it does work properly only in Firefox, while in IE and Safari its elements are somehow apart from each other. You can see the result here:

This is the code I use:

Thank you very much in advance!
Uncompressed, jQuery is 160KB in size. I did not see a way to exclude seldomly used parts of it like with jQuery UI. How can I reduce the (compressed and minified) file size of jQuery? I am quite concerned because dial-up lines and slow machines/browsers are very common among users of my site.
Hello, I have an easy script, that works in all browsers, except IE(8, haven't tryed lower versions yet).
$('.deleteItemIcon').click(function() {
var deleteConfirm = confirm('Do you really wanna delete that item?')
if (!deleteConfirm) {
return false;
}
});
Can you see a reason, why that shouldn't be working, if yes, how to make it work?
I've noticed that the Title or Body part is remembered if I come back to the Ask Question page by pressing Back button of my browser.
This feature is available in all browsers I tested, but doesn't exist for the forms in my own projects.
How can I approach that effect?
UPDATE
I still don't have any clue yet,but guess it that some kind of client cache enabled by http headers or javascript?
There is a page with drop-down menu "Products" overlapped by next content in IE.
It works fine under Gecko or Webkit browsers.

z-index property makes no sence.
I have no solutions yet.
Thanx in advance
Are there any example of CSS hacks which were working before new version or patch released?
Is it ever happened?
mainly i want to know for IE, but would like to know cases of other browsers also.
I have a container div. Width: 80%, margin-left: 10% and margin-right 10%. The problem is, the container is displaying to the left in all the browsers I check. If I change the value of margin-left to 20%, it looks ok.
I will supply code if necessary but is there anything obviously wrong here? Isn't 80 with a margin of 10 on each side correct to center a div?
GF
div
{
margin:90px auto;
}
This code centers the div in chrome with a top margin of 90px, but the results are different in all other browsers ..
is there a common method to center the div and have a top margin at the same time ?
In one of my HTML page dynamically loading some file field while clicking a button like follows
$('#add').click(function(){
$('#files').append('<input type="file" class="myfile" name="myfile" />');
});
My question is how to "bind" newly added element to HTML page so that I can access like
$('.myfile').change(function(){
// Code Here
});
I am asking this because
$('.myfile').live('change',function(){
// Code here
});
not working in all browsers , expecially IE
Please help thanks
I'm using the 'poster' attribute on a video tag and the way it seems to work at least in webkit browsers is that it loads the poster image and then once enough of the video has loaded, it replaces that poster with an auto-generated poster from the video file itself.
However, my poster images don't match the auto-generated posters which results in a weird experience of one image loading, then being replaced in a few seconds by the auto-generated image. Is there any way to prevent the auto-generated image from being used?

Hello fellow front-end web h4X0|2s,
I was wondering if anyone had any resources, proof, or personal experience in using the age-old http/https JavaScript hack:
<script src="//someserver.com/js/script.js"></script>
Has anyone encountered issues in any of these browsers (IE 5.5+, FF2+, Chrome, Opera 9+, Safari 3+)? Has anybody had success stories?
Thank you for your help.
I have a handful of users on a server. After updating the site, they don't see the new pages. Is there a way to globally force their browsers and providers to display the new page? Maybe from settings.py? I see there are decorators that look like they do this on a function level.

i have a page like the above .the page gets rendered properly in FF and other browsers. but in IE a small problem exits . IF you see the 1st box that is where the image and other features are displayed. the width of the box is differently shown in IE and FF. in IE the right hand side is getting cut off.
I need to learn how to develop PHP extensions.
So, I assume I have to refresh my CPP skills (or is it C?).
What IDE should I use (auto-completion, object browsers etc). I plan to develop on Ubuntu 32.
Is there a good book or good website I can learn from?

I am trying to get Opera to re-request a page every time instead of just serving it from the cache. I'm sending the 'Cache-control=no-cache' and 'Pragma: no-cache' response headers but it seems as if Opera is just ignoring these headers. It works fine in other browsers - Chrome, IE, Firefox.
How do I stop Opera from caching pages? What I want to be able to do is have Opera re-request a page when the user clicks the Back button on the browser.
We used to be able to use javascript in IE to produce a chromeless window...no buttons, scrollbars or even the standard edges of the browser window.
My question: Is there any way to accomplish this type of window look from the web with today's browsers?
hi,
is there any way to disable browsers popups about too long scripts (i.e. in Firefox and Safari) directly from the website ?
(And not from the browser settings)
thanks
I have been exploring the possibilities of Microsoft Silverlight and how it runs in web browsers. I just wonder if Silverlight requires the .NET framework? Meaning that Mac or Linux users cannot run Silverlight. I will be making the application using the .NET framework 3.5. Will this application run in any web browser, or just major ones like Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari?
Hi
Complete novice question. I've used jQuery a bit, YUI not at all and know very little about it.
I work on a website thats IE specific, we're now looking at making it cross browser. jQuery seems great at hiding the differences between browsers from a javascript point of view. However in terms of css layout is it YUI that I should really be looking at?
thanks
when i write
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://localhost/kino/img/clapperboard-icon.ico">
it doesn't show an icon in IE? works fine in other browsers.
could you tell me why? thanks
