    Having a ls output like GGGG_3.0.3_98/ GGGG_3.0.3_d_100/ GGGG_3.0.3_d_101/ GGGG_3.0.3_d_99/ GGGG_3.0.4_104/ GGGG_3.0.4_105/ GGGG_3.0.4_106/ GGGG_3.0_87/ GGGG_3.0_89/ GGGG_3.0_90/ GGGG_3.0_91/ GGGG_3.0_92/ GGGG_3.0_93/ SSS_2.2.3_01/ SSS_2.2.3_02/ SSS_2.2.3_03/ TTT_2.8.3_29/ how to get the elements ordered by suffix? Also, is there any quick command I can use to know that 106 is the last suffix in this example? Sorry: it wasn't clear that "the suffix" in the given example is everything following the final underscore.

    Hi, when compiling some projects on linux terminal, I get usually a long output consisting of a lot of information. Usually this information is MONOCHROME. I wonder if bash can be modified somehow, so in all outputs or in some specific outputs (like from Makefile, etc) I can get different colors dependeing on, for instance: make[1]: Leaving directory or g++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. etc. Thanks

Any ideas?

Moreover I'm only interested in the text that appears between a pair of #'s on the second line. Additionally, between the hashes, another delimiter is used: ^A. It would be great if I can also break apart each part of text that is ^A-delimited (Note that ^A is SOH special character and can be typed by using Ctrl-A)

    i have a problem with my PHP-MSSQL query. i have a join table that need to give a result something be like this: Department Group A Group B Total A+B WORKHOUR A OTHOUR A WORKHOUR B OTHOUR B WORKHOUR OTHOUR HR 10 15 25 0 35 15 IT 5 5 5 5 Admin 12 12 12 12 the query will count how many employee as per given date (admin will enter data and once submitted, the query will give the above result).
