I create a query: Select * from HR_Tsalary where month='3' and year ='2010' the result is 473 records and I found 2 duplicate record, then I create another query to find duplicate record only: SELECT Emp_No, COUNT(*) FROM HR_Tsalary WHERE year = '10' AND month = '3'GROUP BY Emp_No HAVING COUNT(*) 1 the result is zero record from client side (thru Visual Basic Adodb code). But when I use same query from server the result is 2 records. Is there any different when create a query between from server side and client side?
If I have magic_quotes switched on and I use mysql_real_escape_string, will the tring be double escaped? Will it cause problems? I assume so based on the get_magic_quotes() function but just seeking confirmation. (PS it's easier to ask this question than test it in my office with all the security we have in place - It takes me 10-15 to configure everything to get a useable envirnment)

In the "syslog" for a MapReduce job flow step, I see the following:
Job Counters
Launched reduce tasks=4
Launched map tasks=39
Does the number of launched map tasks include failed tasks?
I am using NLineInputFormat class as input format to manage the number of map tasks.
However, I get slightly different numbers for exact same input occasionally, or depending on the number of instances (10, 15, and 20).
Can anyone tell me why I am seeing different number of tasks launched?
I use Ctrl p a lot instead of up arrow to go up on Terminal. How to make ghci support Ctrl p to go up?
I use ghci from ghc98 from port. Mac OS X 10.5.8.

I have dates in an excel field of these formats, 01-jan-10, 02/02/05. I formated the cells to 03-mar-2010.
I did a find such as 03-mar-2010 does not turn up any result. Any reason to why.

array_key_exists is not working for large multidimensional array. For ex
$arr=array( '1'=>10,
'2'=>array('21'=>21,
'22'=>22,
'23'=>array('test'=>100,
'231'=>231),

array_key_exists('test',$arr) returns 'false' but it works with some simple arrays.

I have a 4MB log file from the Windows XP firewall which I'm trying to find lines that have both DROP and an IP and a port number. My regex-fu is weak and I'm assuming this is the reason I'm struggling.
The words "DROP", "10.1.1.1" (for example) and "8801" need to be found on the same line and may be spread across the line and separated by one or more other words.
Any help (or suggestions of another method to do this) are much appreciated.
So I'm creating this website and there is a strange untraceable bug that causes the header to move down 10 or so pixels. On a refresh the header could be correct or it could be broken. I've been testing it on Adobe Browserlab and the results are different every time.There is no discernible pattern making it incredible hard to track down.

If both classes contained an identical method, does the larger class take longer to execute it?

I am facing an issue while dividing a double with an int. Code snippet is :

int fac = 100;
double res = db / fac;
The value of res is 0.10000000000000001 instead of 0.10.

Hi I am using Crystal Reports 10 to generate my reports. In one of the reports I see that a group header is getting repeated 2 times in the output document while in the design tab I can that it is present only one time. I am having my query as a "Union All" of 2 data sets.

My Visual Studio is in trouble in keyboard. I am working normally, when suddenly my keyboard loses its configuration, so where is the "" becomes "/".

I've already checked out a bunch of repositories in my ~/cvs folder, using CrossVC, a graphical CVS client.
How can I use CVS in cmd with these already checked out repositories? Which variables should I export?

For an intranet application instead of using a proper web server, it has been planned to just deploy static html pages by sharing it over the network. This static html page is continously updated in the background by a program running on that PC and people access this html page by typing the shared file path directly in the browser. A maximum of 10 simultaneous users are expected to access it.
Can any one see the disadvantages or advantages in this type of deployment?

I've got many where clauses in query.
How to improve this query to get also full row count?
I don't want to use one more request without LIMIT.
example some array {2,8,9,10,21,32,1,6,3...}
first child take (data size / 2) and sort
second chile take (data size / 2) and sort after combine 2 child data and give us a sorted full data, is it possible with some algorithms?

In order for the user to control the volume , my android application has a menu consisting of a slider that provides int values from 0 to 10 , when dragged. After I obtain a value , I must set the volume to the corresponding value chosen by the user , and well , this is the part that I don't know to implement and I 'd like to find about it.
