  Is there a way to detect when focus has been put onto the address-bar or the browser-search-bar? I ask because I am trying to keep focus on one element in my document, but adding a blur() listener to that element works too well in safari mac -- you can't put focus on the address-bar!

  Hey guys, I'm using jQuery to dynamically load php pages into my page using the .load() function, so far this has been successful but if you click on various links to update the div with the .load() it starts to flicker between the new clicked page and the old one, this is pretty annoying and has anyone got a fix?   A feature of a forms based application I am developing allows the user to search through a history of records. The user can search by name, by number, and between dates, and populate the results in a datagridview control. However, as the form will be used to search for previous records. The ability for the user to select future dates is not required. Is there a way to prevent the user from selecting future dates, or even grey the future dates out?

• SharePoint weekly summary alert with calculated columns

  I have a SharePoint list that accepts incoming email and has two calculated columns based on the Email Subject. Immediate alerts, RSS etc all work fine but the Weekly Summary Alert has #VALUE! for all the calculated columns. Is there a reason for this? Can I get it to show that actual calculated value?

Basically, sometimes as a result of text munging, or using some piece of software, I end up with some text that has some troublesome characters - such as looking a lot like other characters, but being distinct from them. I'd like a tool (preferably online, javascript based) where I can paste the text, and it will tell me all the characters involved, their names, unicode codes etc.

• Looking for MDI Manager with tab grouping that allows show and hide of groups?

  I am looking for a MDI manager solution that allows documents to be grouped and show/hidden programmaticly. Example, 3 document types, red, yellow and green. When you click a button the MDI manager shows only the red documents by hiding the other 2 types tabs. None of the MDI managers (Actipro, Infragistics, etx) I have looked at can do this. They require all documents to be visible... Anyone know of a good solution for this in C#? Thanks, Jeff

  Hi I'm using highcharts to create some charts (pie, bar, etc...) using just Javascript. These charts do not use Flash or anything like that. Is it possible for me to convert the resulting HTML page with the Javascript chart to an excel document that properly shows the image? I've tried the standard change mime types for excel and so far I've only been able to export an HTML table on the page, but no chart.
