• FCBKcomplete, Create a new TAG with Commas as opposed to Enter

  Currently, FCBKcomplete created new tags after you type something in and press enter. Is there a way to get the plug-in to allow for comma's (which is how tags are commonly separated) to create new tags? I'd hate to have to try to retrain users to user enter as opposed to the more standard comma separator. • XDocument unable to digest url in header if encountered twice

  Hi there, I am consuming an xml response from a government gateway which contains a url in its root node twice (being firstly xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.govtalk.gov.uk/CM/envelope" and also xmlns="http://www.govtalk.gov.uk/CM/envelope") XDocument will only parse this if I pull out the second one (the xmlns one) from the node. Is there some way I can prepare XDocument to digest this repeated URL without having to manipulate the incoming xml in any way? Thanks Paul

  Solution is called Portal which holds Areas/CMS/Login folder inside it. Login controller in CMS/Controllers is the same as AccountController in Portal solution. I customized Login and it works all fine except one thing: When I use [Authorize] filter and If user is not logged in than he is redirected to http://localhost:1177/Account/LogOn?ReturnUrl=%2fCMS%2fArticle and I would like that redirection takes user to here: http://localhost:1177/CMS/Login Any idea how to solve this?   Hi, When I try to set the header properties on a WebRequest object, I get the following exception This header must be modified using the appropriate property I've tried modifying the .Headers propery and adding them that way like so webRequest.Headers.Add(HttpRequestHeader.Referer, "http://stackoverflow.com"); But still getting exceptions. I can get around this by casting the WebRequest object to a HttpWebRequest and setting the properties such as httpWebReq.Referer ="http://stackoverflow.com" But I'd like to know if there's a way to get a finer grained control over modifying headers with a request for a remote resource. • HTML Purifier: Removing an element conditionally based on its attributes

  As per the HTML Purifier smoketest, 'malformed' URIs are occasionally discarded to leave behind an attribute-less anchor tag, e.g. <a href="javascript:document.location='http://www.google.com/'">XSS</a> becomes <a>XSS</a> ...as well as occasionally being stripped down to the protocol, e.g. <a href="http://1113982867/">XSS</a> becomes <a href="http:/">XSS</a> While that's unproblematic, per se, it's a bit ugly. Instead of trying to strip these out with regular expressions, I was hoping to use HTML Purifier's own library capabilities / injectors / plug-ins / whathaveyou. Point of reference: Handling attributes Conditionally removing an attribute in HTMLPurifier is easy. Here the library offers the class HTMLPurifier_AttrTransform with the method confiscateAttr(). While I don't personally use the functionality of confiscateAttr(), I do use an HTMLPurifier_AttrTransform as per this thread to add target="_blank" to all anchors. // more configuration stuff up here $htmlDef = $htmlPurifierConfiguration->getHTMLDefinition(true); $anchor = $htmlDef->addBlankElement('a'); $anchor->attr_transform_post[] = new HTMLPurifier_AttrTransform_Target(); // purify down here HTMLPurifier_AttrTransform_Target is a very simple class, of course. class HTMLPurifier_AttrTransform_Target extends HTMLPurifier_AttrTransform { public function transform($attr, $config, $context) { // I could call $this->confiscateAttr() here to throw away an // undesired attribute $attr['target'] = '_blank'; return $attr; } } That part works like a charm, naturally. Handling elements Perhaps I'm not squinting hard enough at HTMLPurifier_TagTransform, or am looking in the wrong place(s), or generally amn't understanding it, but I can't seem to figure out a way to conditionally remove elements. Say, something to the effect of: // more configuration stuff up here $htmlDef = $htmlPurifierConfiguration->getHTMLDefinition(true); $anchor = $htmlDef->addElementHandler('a'); $anchor->elem_transform_post[] = new HTMLPurifier_ElementTransform_Cull(); // add target as per 'point of reference' here // purify down here With the Cull class extending something that has a confiscateElement() ability, or comparable, wherein I could check for a missing href attribute or a href attribute with the content http:/. HTMLPurifier_Filter I understand I could create a filter, but the examples (Youtube.php and ExtractStyleBlocks.php) suggest I'd be using regular expressions in that, which I'd really rather avoid, if it is at all possible. I'm hoping for an onboard or quasi-onboard solution that makes use of HTML Purifier's excellent parsing capabilities. Returning null in a child-class of HTMLPurifier_AttrTransform unfortunately doesn't cut it. Anyone have any smart ideas, or am I stuck with regexes? :)

  I'm trying to get Cruisecontrol.NET running with Server 2008/IIS7 and when I try and navigate to the dashboard I get the following error: HTTP Error 404.17 - Not Found The requested content appears to be script and will not be served by the static file handler. I'm a bit lost in IIS7 so it could be something pretty straightforward. They (cc.net) do some funny stuff with http handlers in the web.config which may be related to the problem: Anyone have any pointers?

• How to show server errors in Rails 2.3.5 with JSON and jQuery

  I've got in-place editing on a page in my app (using Rails 2.3.5 and jQuery). I want to know how to display an error on the page when the update fails. I'm using ajax (an XMLHttpRequest) to save an update to a Comment object. The controller has an update method like this: def update @comment = Comment.find(params[:id]) respond_to do |format| # if @comment.update_attributes!(params[:comment]) if false #deliberately forcing a fail here to see what happens format.json { render :nothing => true } else format.json { render :json => @comment.errors, :status => :unprocessable_entity } end end end In Firebug, I can see the server returns a "422" (an appropriate validation error status code). But it's a response to an XMLHttpRequest so there is no redirect to an error page. I think I actually want to do this: format.json { render :json => @comment.errors} or maybe this: format.json {render :json => { :status => :error, :message => "Could not be saved" }.to_json, :status => 400 } and trigger some Javascript function that iterates through (and displays) any errors. I'm using a rails plugin http://github.com/janv/rest_in_place/ to implement the in-place editing. It doesn't appear to have any callback function to handle a failure. What are my options? Can I write some Javascript to respond to a failure condition without hacking the plugin? Do I have to hack the rest_in_place plugin to handle a failure condition? Is there a better plugin (for Rails or jQuery) that handles in-place editing, including failure conditions? UPDATE This post from Peter Bui (http://paydrotalks.com/posts/45-standard-json-response-for-rails-and-jquery) was helpful in showing how to handle an error message from the server using XMLHttpRequest.status. I looked at his implementation of a blog using ajax (http://github.com/paydro/talks). I'm surprised at the complexity required to handle a simple error condition. Usually Rails has all the goodness baked in but it seems server errors with JSON are out of scope. Can that be? I also looked at grimen's validatious-on-rails (http://github.com/grimen/validatious-on-rails/) which accommodates models validations when ajax XMLHttpRequest is used. It's not clear to me how I'd use it to handle the general case of a "save" failing when validations succeed. P.S. Please vote me up... so I can use more than one HTML link when I ask my question :-)

• UTF8 encoding not working when using ajax.

  I recently changed some of my pages to be displayed via ajax and I am having some confusion as to why the utf8 encoding is now displaying a question mark inside of a box, whereas before it wasn't. Fore example. The oringal page was index.php. charset was explicitly set to utf8 and is in the <head>.   So IIS7 in Integrated Pipeline mode uses a IsapiFilterModule to shim ISAPI filter DLL's and fire off the correct "events" on the filters, which is quite different than previous versions of IIS or IIS7 in classic mode because this means that HttpModules fire off right along side ISAPI filters in Integrated Pipeline mode. So does anyone happen to know how ISAPI events (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms524855.aspx) and the HttpModule events (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms998536.aspx) line up?

  If you web site address is: http://www.example.org should you set up an IIS web site for http://example.org with a permanent redirect to the www address or simply add the second Url as a host header? If you where to add the host header would that affect SEO?

• jquery mouse wheel scroll horizontal

  I currently have a site that is a sidescroller (http://www.studioimbrue.com) and I'm trying to bind a mousewheel to scroll sideways. Currently I'm using the one found at thehorizontalway.com but it doesn't seem to work in all browsers (Chrome). I'm trying to get this one to work: http://brandonaaron.net/code/mousewheel/docs , to simply scroll the whole window, nothing else. There is very limited documentation so I can't figure it out. Any help is appreciated.
