  • Android application chrashes after "share" intent

    - by Johe Green
    Hi, My app offers a "share/tell-a-friend" function. When the "share" button is pressed the following method is being called to open a list of apps, which can perform the action (Eg. Gmail, Twittroid, Facebook...): public void share() { Intent shareIntent = new Intent(android.content.Intent.ACTION_SEND); shareIntent.setType("text/plain"); shareIntent.putExtra(android.content.Intent.EXTRA_SUBJECT, getText(R.string.menu_share_subject)); shareIntent.putExtra(android.content.Intent.EXTRA_TEXT, getText(R.string.menu_share_body)); startActivity(Intent.createChooser(shareIntent, getText(R.string.menu_share_intent))); } The sharing functionality works basically. But when the sharing app (Facebook, Twitter, ...) tries to return to my app, a force close is thrown. I guess that my app gets closed in the background during the sharing process... at least that is what the debugger sais... Any ideas?

  • "Expected specifier-quantifier-list before b2Body" error in XCode

    - by Zeophlite
    I'm trying to derive class from CCSprite to store the sprites reference to its corresponding b2Body, but I've get the following errors (comments in Code) BoxSprite.h #import <Foundation/Foundation.h> #import "Box2D.h" #import "cocos2d.h" @interface BoxSprite : CCSprite { b2Body* bod; // Expected specifier-quantifier-list before b2Body } @property (nonatomic, retain) b2Body* bod; // Expected specifier-quantifier-list before b2Body @end // Property 'bod' with 'retain' attribute must be of object type BoxSprite.m #import "BoxSprite.h" @implementation BoxSprite @synthesize bod; // No declaration of property 'bod' found in the interface - (void) dealloc { [bod release]; // 'bod' undeclared [super dealloc]; } @end I was hoping to create the sprite and assign the body with: BoxSprite *sprite = [BoxSprite spriteWithBatchNode:batch rect:CGRectMake(32 * idx,32 * idy,32,32)]; ... sprite->bod = body; // Instance variable 'bod' is declared protected Then access the b2Body by: if ([node isKindOfClass:[BoxSprite class]]) { BoxSprite *spr = (BoxSprite*)node; b2Body *body = spr->bod; // Instance variable 'bod' is declared protected ... }

Any ideas ? Thank you in advance.

  • How can you extend the Bitmap class

    - by vrish88
    Hello, I am trying to extend the Bitmap class so that I can apply my own effects to an image. When I use this code: namespace ImageEditor { public class Effects : System.Drawing.Bitmap { public void toBlackAndWhite() { System.Drawing.Bitmap image = (Bitmap)this; AForge.Imaging.Filters.Grayscale filter = new AForge.Imaging.Filters.Grayscale(); this = filter.Apply(this); } } } I get the following error: 'ImageEditor.Effects': cannot derive from sealed type 'System.Drawing.Bitmap' So is there a way to get around this or is it simply not possible to extend the class? Thanks.

  • Drawing a continuous rectangle

    - by JAYMIN
    Hi..i m currently working on visual c++ 2008 express edition.. in my project i have a picturebox which contains an image, now i have to draw a rectangle to enaable the user to select a part of the image.. I have used the "MouseDown" event of the picturebox and the below code to draw a rectangle: Void pictureBox1_MouseDown(System::Object^ sender, Windows::Forms::MouseEventArgs^ e) { Graphics^ g = pictureBox1-CreateGraphics(); Pen^ pen = gcnew Pen(Color::Blue); g-DrawRectangle( pen , e-X ,e-Y,width,ht); } now in the "DrawRectangle" the arguments "width" and "ht" are static, so the above code results in the drawing of a rectangle at the point where the user presses the mouse button on the image in picturebox... i want to allow the user to be able to drag the cursor and draw a rectangle of size that he wishes to.. Plz help me on this.. Thanx..

  • Android: Enable selection in webkit

    - by tacone
    Hello, I'am looking for a way to have a webview content selectable in the very same way as the stock browser does. user long presses the text the whole word is selected two pins appear at the word's boundary allowing the user to stretch/shrink the selection. I should note that Dolphin HD shows exactly the same text select functionality as the default browser (same icons, animation, etc), so it really should be possible. But I can't figure out how. Until now, all i found was this function, which kind of work, but doesn't allow the user to expand/shrink the selection. public void selectAndCopyText() { try { KeyEvent shiftPressEvent = new KeyEvent(0,0,KeyEvent.ACTION_DOWN,KeyEvent.KEYCODE_SHIFT_LEFT,0,0); shiftPressEvent.dispatch(mWebView); } catch (Exception e) { throw new AssertionError(e); } }

  • Help with Role Based Security.

    - by Bill K
    Hello, I'm trying to understand role based security and I have the following method: [PrincipalPermission(SecurityAction.Demand, Role = "Administrators")] static void Test() { //administratos only can call this code } What I wanna do is that only users that are members of the Windows Administrators group can call this code, however, if I do the following, it works: GenericIdentity genericIdentity = new GenericIdentity("test", "test"); GenericPrincipal genericPrincipal = new GenericPrincipal(genericIdentity, new string[] { "Administrators" }); AppDomain.CurrentDomain.SetThreadPrincipal(genericPrincipal); Test(); So, how can I make it work only if the user is in the Administrators windows group? thanks!

  • How to call an programmatically generated event for wxRadioButton in wxWidgets ?

    - by Jakub Czaplicki
    I am trying to programmatically change a value of a wxRadioButton in a way the user would do it. A value change doesn't call the event corresponded to the button, and it make sense since the documentation says it clearly: wxRadioButton::SetValue void SetValue(const bool value) Sets the radio button to selected or deselected status. This does not cause a wxEVT_COMMAND_RADIOBUTTON_SELECTED event to get emitted. So the question is how can I call an programmatically generated event for a wxRadioButton ? I guess that it's something to do with: wxWindow window->AddPendingEvent(wxEvent *event ) A simple example would be greatly appreciated.

  • .net Studio Local Database

    - by testerwpf
    Hello everyone, i am designing a local database in .net with wpf as gui. I have added a new database, and added a new table. Through the TableAdapter i generated 2 statements ( 1 statement is a select stmt and 1 is a insert) , i insert name and firstname (id is auto generated). It works fine, i can display the table in a datagrid (wpf toolkit) and also add new items (name,firstname), when i close and start the application everything is fine (data in table is stored) BUT when i try to preview data in my database dataset (where my Adapters exist) , no data is displayed and then the table gets deleted.. why? public partial class MainWindow : Window { public MainWindow() { this.InitializeComponent(); PlayerTableAdapter objPlayerTableAdapter = new PlayerTableAdapter(); objDataGridResults.ItemsSource = objPlayerTableAdapter.GetDataAllPlayer(); } //Button Event onClick private void m_voidAddPlayer(object sender, System.Windows.RoutedEventArgs e) { PlayerTableAdapter objPlayerTableAdapter = new PlayerTableAdapter(); objPlayerTableAdapter.InsertQueryPlayer(objTextBoxPlayerName.Text.ToString(), objTextBoxPlayerFirstName.Text.ToString()); objDataGridResults.ItemsSource = objPlayerTableAdapter.GetDataAllPlayer(); } }

  • Can't set background colour for UIView from ViewController

    - by Curyous
    I have the following code in the view controller: - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; ThemeManager *themer = [ThemeManager sharedInstance]; UIView *theView = self.view; UIColor *forBackground = [themer backgroundColour]; [theView setBackgroundColor:forBackground]; } but when execution gets to the setBackgroundColor line, I get the following error: *** -[NSCFNumber CGColor]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x1237c40 *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '*** -[NSCFNumber CGColor]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x1237c40' There's got to be something simple that I'm doing wrong, how do I set the background colour? Do I have to subclass the view and do it in there? I'd prefer not to have the extra class, even though that is better separation of the whole model/view/controller thing. Update: value returned by [themer backgroundColour] is constructed using colorWithPatternImage:, could this make a difference?

  • C# Windows Forms Print Dialog box click OK twice to respond

    - by sbartlett007
    I'm using Visual Studio 2008, .net Framework 3.5 for a Windows forms client-server app that I'm working on. There is a weird bug when I run the program and try to print. The print dialog box opens, but I have to click the OK button twice for it to work. After the second click it works fine, no errors. When I put a breakpoint on: if (result == DialogResult.OK) , the breakpoint doesn't trigger until the second click. Here is the code: private void tbPrint_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { try { printDialog1.Document = pDoc; DialogResult result = printDialog1.ShowDialog(); if (result == DialogResult.OK) { pDoc.PrinterSettings.PrinterName = printDialog1.PrinterSettings.PrinterName; pDoc.Print(); } ... This is driving me crazy, and I can't see anything else that would interfere with it.

  • How do I create an OpenCV image from a PIL image?

    - by scrible
    I want to do some image processing with OpenCV (in Python), but I have to start with a PIL Image object, so I can't use the cvLoadImage() call, since that takes a filename. This recipe (adapted from http://opencv.willowgarage.com/wiki/PythonInterface) does not work because cvSetData complains argument 2 of type 'void *' . Any ideas? from opencv.cv import * from PIL import Image pi = Image.open('foo.png') # PIL image ci = cvCreateImage(pi.size, IPL_DEPTH_8U, 1) # OpenCV image data = pi.tostring() cvSetData(ci, data, len(data)) I think the last argument to the cvSetData is wrong too, but I am not sure what it should be.

I have not been able to put this program into a loop of 500. I usually program in Python, thus I guess my Java has rusted ! Any help is most welcome !

  • UINavigationController and memory management

    - by Dan Ray
    - (void)launchSearch { EventsSearchViewController *searchController = [[EventsSearchViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"EventsSearchView" bundle:nil]; [self.navigationController pushViewController:searchController animated:YES]; //[searchController release]; } Notice the [searchController release] is commented out. I've understood that pushing searchController onto the navigation controller retains it, and I should release it from my code. I did just alloc/init it, after all, and if I don't free it, it'll leak. With that line commented out, navigation works great. With it NOT commented out, I can navigate INTO this view okay, but coming back UP a level crashes with a *** -[CFArray release]: message sent to deallocated instance 0x443a9e0 error. What's happening here? Is the NavigationController releasing it for me somehow when it goes out of view? The boilerplate that comes on a UINavigationController template in XCode has the newly-pushed controller getting released. But when I do it, it fails.
