  • Is it possible to apply a Theme to Google Chrome when it's in "Application Mode"?

    - by lewen7er9
I've applied the "brushed" theme (https://tools.google.com/chrome/intl/en/themes/theme%5Fbrushed.html) to my main google chrome browser windows without any problem. However none of the "application mode" shortcuts I created pick up this theme. For example, running chrome as follows does not pick up the "brushed" theme: chrome.exe --app=gmail.com I want to be able to apply themes to google chrome in application mode.

  • Standalone tool to synchronize two folders in windows?

    - by Jim
I keep data on a USB drive, but I also keep a copy of all of that data on a hard disk. I like using the hard disk because it's faster and gives me a backup. What standalone tools would work to keep the files on the disk and USB drive in sync? I'd like a single command line executable or standalone GUI app that can do the job--something I could run off of the USB drive. So, things like the MS Sync Tool wouldn't work.

  • ASA5505 Novice. Setting up Outside/Inside/and DMZ as Guest Network

    - by GriffJ
I need a little help in developing a config for our ASA5505. I'm an MCSA/MCITPAS but I don't have a lot of practical cisco experience. Here is what I need help with, we currently have a PIX as our boarder gateway and well it's antiquated and it only has a 50 user license which means I'm constantly clearing local-host throughout the day as people complain. I discovered that the last IT person bought at couple ASA5505s and they've been sitting in the back of a cupboard. So far I've duplicated the configuration from the pix to the asa but as I was going to be going this far I thought I'd go further and remove another old cisco router that was used only for the guest network, I know the asa can do both jobs. So I'm going to paste a scenario I wrote up with the actual IPs changed to protect the innocent. ... Outside Network: 1.2.3.10 255.255.255.248 (we have a /29) Inside Network: 10.10.36.0 255.255.252.0 DMZ Network: 192.168.15.0 255.255.255.0 Outside Network on e0/0 DMZ Network on e0/1 Inside Network on e0/2-7 DMZ Network has DHCPD Enabled. DMZ DHCPD Pool is 192.168.15.50-192.168.15.250 DMZ Network needs to be able to see DNS on Inside Network at 10.10.37.11 and 10.10.37.12 DMZ Network needs to be able to access webmail on inside network at 10.10.37.15 DMZ Network needs to be able to access business website on inside network at 10.10.37.17 DMZ Network needs to be able to access the outside network (access to the internet). Inside Network has NO DHCPD. (dhcp is handled by domain controller) Inside Network needs to be able to see anything on the DMZ network. Inside Network needs to be able to access the outside network (access to the internet). There is some access-list stuff already, some static mapping already. Maps external IPs from our ISP to our inside server IPs static (inside, outside) 1.2.3.11 10.10.37.15 netmask 255.255.255.255 static (inside, outside) 1.2.3.12 10.10.37.17 netmask 255.255.255.255 static (inside, outside) 1.2.3.13 10.10.37.20 netmask 255.255.255.255 Allows access to our Webserver/Mailserver/VPN from the Outside. access-list 108 permit tcp any host 1.2.3.11 eq https access-list 108 permit tcp any host 1.2.3.11 eq smtp access-list 108 permit tcp any host 1.2.3.11 eq 993 access-list 108 permit tcp any host 1.2.3.11 eq 465 access-list 108 permit tcp any host 1.2.3.12 eq www access-list 108 permit tcp any host 1.2.3.12 eq https access-list 108 permit tcp any host 1.2.3.13 eq pptp Here is all the NAT and route stuff I have so far. global (outside) 1 interface global (outside) 2 1.2.3.11-1.2.3.14 netmask 255.255.255.248 nat (inside) 1 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 nat (dmz) 1 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 route outside 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 1.2.3.9 1

  • Debugging info for authentication in tomcat

    - by Tom A
I have a JDBC realm setup and a web-app using basic authentication, but I can't get it to work. It is putting up the password dialog but it never succeeds. If I could get the authentication process to spit out some logs, I would be fine. I have debug="99" in my realm specification but I see nothing getting logged in the usual places. Am I missing something?

  • MS DPM 2007: Testing the Recovery for a Production Domain

    - by NewToDPM
Hi everybody! MS DPM 2007 is a new technology in my company, and so am I to the product. We have a classic Microsoft domain with two DCs, Exchange 2007 and a couple Web/MS SQL servers. I have deployed DPM one month ago on the domain, and after fixing the various issues I got with the replicas inconsistence and adapting the schedule and retention range to the server storage pool size, I can say the backup system is working correctly (no errors) as of today. However, there is one problem: we did not attempt to restore from the backups yet, which is a big no-no of course. I'm not sure about the way I should handle this, my main concern being Exchange and the System State of the DCs. From my understanding, DPM can only protect AND restore data on a server which is part of the same domain as the backup server. If I restore the System State (containing Active Directory) and the Exchange Storage Groups on a testing server, I am afraid it would completely disturb the domain functioning (for example, having two primary DCs on the domain). I am thinking about building a second DPM server on a testing separate domain which would mirror the replicas and then restore it on testing servers from this new domain. Is it the right way to handle the data recovery testing? How did you do on your domain when you first deployed DPM? I'd be grateful for any link/documentation or advice. Thank you in advance for your help! EDIT: Two options seem possible so far: i. Create another DC/Exchange server in the alternate location; ii. Create a separate domain in the alternate location and setup a trust between this domain and the production one. The option i is certainly the best but implies setting up a secondary Exchange server, with a dedicated public IP address so that if Exchange #1 dies, we can still send emails with Exchange #2. I don't know how complex this can be and would need to discuss it with my colleagues. The option ii would only fit the testing purposes. My only question regarding this is: if my production and DPM servers are part of domain A, and there is a trust between domains A and B, can I restore a domain A content to any domain B server?

  • How do I press CTRL+T when on youtube?

    - by bobobobo
On Youtube.com the flash applet seems to suck the input focus. Shortcuts like CTRL+T or ALT don't seem to work. How can you make a new window without having to touch the mouse (keyboard only) when on youtube.com or other sites that have a flash app that traps keystrokes?

  • Stop OS X from switching spaces with mouse

    - by mankoff
OS X Spaces change when the mouse hovers near the edge of the screen. Does anyone know of an app or 'defaults' command to disable this? Warp looks like it might help, but hasn't changed the behavior for me, even though I tried turning it off, or setting a modifier key.

  • OpenSSL in C++ email client - server closes connection with TLSv1 Alert message

    - by mice
    My app connects to a IMAP email server. One client configured his server to reject SSLv2 certificates, and now my app fails to connect to the server. All other email clients connect to this server successfully. My app uses openssl. I debugged by creating minimal openssl client and attempt to connect to the server. Below is the code with connects to the mail server (using Windows sockets, but same problem is with unix sockets). Server sends its initial IMAP greeting message, but after client sends 1st command, server closes connection. In Wireshark, I see that after sending command to server, it returns TLSv1 error message 21 (Encrypted Alert) and connection is gone. I'm looking for proper setup of OpenSSL for this connection to succeed. Thanks #include <stdio.h> #include <memory.h> #include <errno.h> #include <sys/types.h> #include <winsock2.h> #include <openssl/crypto.h> #include <openssl/x509.h> #include <openssl/pem.h> #include <openssl/ssl.h> #include <openssl/err.h> #define CHK_NULL(x) if((x)==NULL) exit(1) #define CHK_ERR(err,s) if((err)==-1) { perror(s); exit(1); } #define CHK_SSL(err) if((err)==-1) { ERR_print_errors_fp(stderr); exit(2); } SSL *ssl; char buf[4096]; void write(const char *s){ int err = SSL_write(ssl, s, strlen(s)); printf("> %s\n", s); CHK_SSL(err); } void read(){ int n = SSL_read(ssl, buf, sizeof(buf) - 1); CHK_SSL(n); if(n==0){ printf("Finished\n"); exit(1); } buf[n] = 0; printf("%s\n", buf); } void main(){ int err=0; SSLeay_add_ssl_algorithms(); SSL_METHOD *meth = SSLv23_client_method(); SSL_load_error_strings(); SSL_CTX *ctx = SSL_CTX_new(meth); CHK_NULL(ctx); WSADATA data; WSAStartup(0x202, &data); int sd = socket(AF_INET, SOCK_STREAM, IPPROTO_TCP); CHK_ERR(sd, "socket"); struct sockaddr_in sa; memset(&sa, 0, sizeof(sa)); sa.sin_family = AF_INET; sa.sin_addr.s_addr = inet_addr("195.137.27.14"); sa.sin_port = htons(993); err = connect(sd,(struct sockaddr*) &sa, sizeof(sa)); CHK_ERR(err, "connect"); /* ----------------------------------------------- */ /* Now we have TCP connection.   • How to use Amazons' X.509 key and X.509 cert

    - by April
How do I use Amazons' X.509 key and X.509 cert? I have downloaded these two files but don't know how to use them. Using rightscale (https://my.rightscale.com/aws_credentials/), do I copy and paste the content of these two files? When I do, the rightscale app says not valid. What am I doing wrong? How do I use these?

  • How can I see a visual overlay of shortcut keys I've pressed?

    - by lyricsboy
I've seen several screencasts (recorded on Mac OS X) which show a nice little "toast" indicating which shortcut key is being pressed by the screencaster, typically in the middle of the screen. Is this a feature of the screencasting software? Is there an app that does this that stands alone? I regularly do presentations for programming classes, and I want a way to show my audience what shortcuts I'm activating.

  • Does Tomcat or Jetty cache dynamic content?

    - by Continuation
I'm working on a Servlet app with contents that are updated periodically. Hence, between updates any dynamic pages generated by the Servlet can be cached. Does Tomcat or Jetty (or any Servlet container) offer a way to cache dynamically generated pages? Or would I need to use a caching reverse proxy like Squid to accomplish that?

  • What is my peak total memory usage? How much of my RAM is actually being actively used?

    - by William C
Hi, Is there an app or utility in Windows that shows me the peak value of in-use memory (i.e., the total of the shareable and private memory of processes, drivers and the operating system) (not standby nor free)? I've got lots of memory and I'm installing an in-memory file cache, called "eBoostr", and would like an idea how much memory to allocate for it and still avoid deteriorating page faults. Essentially, I want the answer to the question, "How much of my RAM is actually being actively used?" W

  • How much resources are used during a RDP connection?

    - by KronoS
Having recently installed a RDP app on my mobile device and got me wondering: this small device which has a limited amount of resources compared to the PC I'm connecting to, is still able to operate my remote machine to almost full capacity. With that, how much of the local machines resources are actually used in the connection to the remote machine? Also how much of the resources are used on the remote machine?

  • How to display hidden Mac OS programs?

    - by LikeToCode
Every time I minimize an application on my new MacBook, it minimizes, but when I switch to it, all i see is a menu on top saying that I am currently using that program, but it's still hidden. There is no menu command to "unhide" it, only to hide it. Is there a way to unhide it? Is there is a way to unhide it by default when I switch to the app?
