• Given the Following JS/JQUERY, how to prevent it from being case sensative

  I have the following line of code which works well: $("a.grouped_elements[href$=.jpg],a.grouped_elements[href$=.png],a.grouped_elements[href$=.gif]").fancybox(); Problem is, if the href is .JPG it doesn't work it only works with .jpg. How can I make the above case insensative so either all caps or no caps or a mix all match for the file extenstion? Thanks

  Right now I'v created a polygon, then I do the same thing but with line_loop to draw the outline. My issue right now is if I set the line thickness to high, the lines arn't connected. Their ends would need to be (linewidth) longer... is there a way to fix this? Thanks

• empty() doesn't work with codeigniter input class

  This is really weird. Whenever I call something like if(empty($this->input->post("foo")){//blabla} The whole PHP is "down" and I get a blank page from the website (even when I don't pass through this empty(input) line). I know this is not the right method and it is stupid, I change the code to if(!$this->input->post("foo")){//blabla} Better I guess ? Seriously, how come the empty(input) breaks down the entire PHP page ? (I can't get any echo "something").

• Php exec() return code is -1 when in a forked process, but 0 in a normal script

  I am using exec() inside a a script that runs as a daemon and forks child processes using the pear class Net_Server. I am getting a strange issue whereby the return code (the third param of of exec) comes back as -1. When I run the command on the command line, or with exec in a normal php script the return code is 0 as it should be. Anyone have any idea why this is happening, and how to fix it?

  I'm getting the following line in the disassembly from objdump -d of an x86 linux program... 4000b0: ba 0e 00 00 00 mov $0xe,%edx I'm trying to understand how the machine code "ba 0e 00 00 00" maps to "mov $0xe,%edx" In the manual move immediate 32-bit is: B8 + rd ... MOV r32, imm32 ie "B8" not "BA" In fact none of the MOV opcodes are "BA". If someone could break down "ba 0e 00 00 00" and explain bit-wise how to get to "mov $0xe,%edx" it would be most helpful.
