  • Django Admin Running Same Query Thousands of Times for Model

    - by Tom
    Running into an odd . . . loop when trying to view a model in the Django admin. I have three related models (code trimmed for brevity, hopefully I didn't trim something I shouldn't have): class Association(models.Model): somecompany_entity_id = models.CharField(max_length=10, db_index=True) name = models.CharField(max_length=200) def __unicode__(self): return self.name class ResidentialUnit(models.Model): building = models.CharField(max_length=10) app_number = models.CharField(max_length=10) unit_number = models.CharField(max_length=10) unit_description = models.CharField(max_length=100, blank=True) association = models.ForeignKey(Association) created = models.DateTimeField(auto_now_add=True) updated = models.DateTimeField(auto_now=True) def __unicode__(self): return '%s: %s, Unit %s' % (self.association, self.building, self.unit_number) class Resident(models.Model): unit = models.ForeignKey(ResidentialUnit) type = models.CharField(max_length=20, blank=True, default='') lookup_key = models.CharField(max_length=200) jenark_id = models.CharField(max_length=20, blank=True) user = models.ForeignKey(User) is_association_admin = models.BooleanField(default=False, db_index=True) show_in_contact_list = models.BooleanField(default=False, db_index=True) created = models.DateTimeField(auto_now_add=True) updated = models.DateTimeField(auto_now=True) _phones = {} home_phone = None work_phone = None cell_phone = None app_number = None account_cache_key = None def __unicode__(self): return '%s' % self.user.get_full_name() It's the last model that's causing the problem. Trying to look at a Resident in the admin takes 10-20 seconds. If I take 'self.association' out of the __unicode__ method for ResidentialUnit, a resident page renders pretty quickly. Looking at it in the debug toolbar, without the association name in ResidentialUnit (which is a foreign key on Resident), the page runs 14 queries. With the association name put back in, it runs a far more impressive 4,872 queries. The strangest part is the extra queries all seem to be looking up the association name. They all come from the same line, the __unicode__ method for ResidentialUnit. Each one is the exact same thing, e.g., SELECT `residents_association`.`id`, `residents_association`.`jenark_entity_id`, `residents_association`.`name` FROM `residents_association` WHERE `residents_association`.`id` = 1096 ORDER BY `residents_association`.`name` ASC I assume I've managed to create a circular reference, but if it were truly circular, it would just die, not run 4000x and then return. Having trouble finding a good Google or StackOverflow result for this.

  • How do I subtract two dates in Django/Python?

    - by Ryan
    Hi! I'm working on a little fitness tracker in order to teach myself Django. I want to graph my weight over time, so I've decided to use the Python Google Charts Wrapper. Google charts require that you convert your date into a x coordinate. To do this I want to take the number of days in my dataset by subtracting the first weigh-in from the last weigh-in and then using that to figure out the x coords (for example, I could 100 by the result and increment the x coord by the resulting number for each y coord.) Anyway, I need to figure out how to subtract Django datetime objects from one another and so far, I am striking out on both google and here at the stack. I know PHP, but have never gotten a handle on OO programming, so please excuse my ignorance. Here is what my models look like: class Goal(models.Model): goal_weight = models.DecimalField("Goal Weight",max_digits=4, decimal_places=1) target_date = models.DateTimeField("Target Date to Reach Goal") set_date = models.DateTimeField("When did you set your goal?") comments = models.TextField(blank=True) def __unicode__(self): return unicode(self.goal_weight) class Weight(models.Model): """Weight at a given date and time """ goal = models.ForeignKey(Goal) weight = models.DecimalField("Current Weight",max_digits=4, decimal_places=1) weigh_date = models.DateTimeField("Date of Weigh-In") comments = models.TextField(blank=True) def __unicode__(self): return unicode(self.weight) def recorded_today(self): return self.date.date() == datetime.date.today() Any ideas on how to proceed in the view? Thanks so much!

  • Authentication and Security in my website - need advice please.

    - by Ichirichi
    Hi, I am using database with a list of username/passwords, and a simple web form that allows for users to enter their username/password. When they submit the page, I simply do a stored procedure check to authenticate. If they are authorised, then their user details (e.g. username, dob, address, company address, other important info) are stored in a custom User object and then in a session. This custom User object that I created is used throughout the web application, and also in a sub-site (session sharing). My question/problems are: Is my method of authentication the correct way to do things? I find users complaining that their session have expired although they "were not idle", possibly due the app pool recycling? They type large amounts of text and find that their session had expired and thus lose all the text typed in. I am uncertain whether the session does really reset sporadically but will Forms Authentication using cookies/cookiless resolve the issue? Alternatively should I build and store the User Object in a session, cookie or something else instead in order to be more "correct" and avoid cases like in point #2. If I go down the Forms Authentication route, I believe I cannot store my custom User object in a Forms Authentication cookie so does it mean I would store the UserID and then recreate the user object on every page? Would this not be a huge increase on the server load? Advice and answers much appreciated. L

  • efficient thread-safe singleton in C++

    - by user168715
    The usual pattern for a singleton class is something like static Foo &getInst() { static Foo *inst = NULL; if(inst == NULL) inst = new Foo(...); return *inst; } However, it's my understanding that this solution is not thread-safe, since 1) Foo's constructor might be called more than once (which may or may not matter) and 2) inst may not be fully constructed before it is returned to a different thread. One solution is to wrap a mutex around the whole method, but then I'm paying for synchronization overhead long after I actually need it. An alternative is something like static Foo &getInst() { static Foo *inst = NULL; if(inst == NULL) { pthread_mutex_lock(&mutex); if(inst == NULL) inst = new Foo(...); pthread_mutex_unlock(&mutex); } return *inst; } Is this the right way to do it, or are there any pitfalls I should be aware of? For instance, are there any static initialization order problems that might occur, i.e. is inst always guaranteed to be NULL the first time getInst is called?

  • How to reset the context to the original rectangle after clipping it for drawing?

    - by mystify
    I try to draw a sequence of pattern images (different repeated patterns in one view). So what I did is this, in a loop: CGContextRef context = UIGraphicsGetCurrentContext(); // clip to the drawing rectangle to draw the pattern for this portion of the view CGContextClipToRect(context, drawingRect); // the first call here works fine... but for the next nothing will be drawn CGContextDrawTiledImage(context, CGRectMake(0, 0, 2, 31), [img CGImage]); I think that after I've clipped the context to draw the pattern in the specific rectangle, I cut out a snippet from the big canvas and the next time, my canvas is gone. can't cut out another snippet. So I must reset that clipping somehow in order to be able to draw another pattern again somewhere else? Edit: In the documentation I found this: CGContextClip: "... Therefore, to re-enlarge the paintable area by restoring the clipping path to a prior state, you must save the graphics state before you clip and restore the graphics state after you’ve completed any clipped drawing. ..." Well then, how to store the graphics state before clipping and how to restore it?

  • Is it possible to have a mysql table accept a null value for a primary_key column referencing a diff

    - by Dr.Dredel
    I have a table that has a column which holds the id of a row in another table. However, when table A is being populated, table B may or may not have a row ready for table A. My question is, is it possible to have mysql prevent an invalid value from being entered but be ok with a NULL? or does a foreign key necessitate a valid related value? So... what I'm looking for (in pseudo code) is this: Table "person" id | name Table "people" id | group_name | person_id (foreign key id from table person) insert into person (1, 'joe'); insert into people (1, 'foo', 1)//kosher insert into people (1, 'foo', NULL)//also kosher insert into people(1, 'foo', 7)// should fail since there is no id 7 in the person table. The reason I need this is that I'm having a chicken and egg issue where it makes perfect sense for the rows in the people table to be created before hand (in this example, I'm creating the groups and would like them to pre-exist the people who join them). And I realize that THIS example is silly and I would just put the group id in the person table rather than vice-versa, but in my real-world problem that is not workable. Just curious if I need to allow any and all values in order to make this work, or if there's some way to allow for null.

  • Query Parameter Value Is Null When Enum Item 0 is Cast to Int32

    - by Timothy
    When I use the first item in a zero-based Enum cast to Int32 as a query parameter, the parameter value is null. I've worked around it by simply setting the first item to a value of 1, but I was wondering though what's really going on here? This one has me scratching my head. Why does the parameter regarded the value as null, instead of 0? Enum LogEventType : int { SignIn, SignInFailure, SignOut, ... } private static DataTable QueryEventLogSession(DateTime start, DateTime stop) { DataTable entries = new DataTable(); using (FbConnection conn = new FbConnection(DSN)) { using (FbDataAdapter adapter = new FbDataAdapter( "SELECT event_type, event_timestamp, event_details FROM event_log " + "WHERE event_timestamp BETWEEN @start AND @stop " + "AND event_type IN (@signIn, @signInFailure, @signOut) " + "ORDER BY event_timestamp ASC", conn)) { adapter.SelectCommand.Parameters.AddRange(new Object[] { new FbParameter("@start", start), new FbParameter("@stop", stop), new FbParameter("@signIn", (Int32)LogEventType.SignIn), new FbParameter("@signInFailure", (Int32)LogEventType.SignInFailure), new FbParameter("@signOut", (Int32)LogEventType.SignOut)}); Trace.WriteLine(adapter.SelectCommand.CommandText); foreach (FbParameter p in adapter.SelectCommand.Parameters) { Trace.WriteLine(p.Value.ToString()); } adapter.Fill(entries); } } return entries; }

  • Tree iterator, can you optimize this any further?

    - by Ron
    As a follow up to my original question about a small piece of this code I decided to ask a follow up to see if you can do better then what we came up with so far. The code below iterates over a binary tree (left/right = child/next ). I do believe there is room for one less conditional in here (the down boolean). The fastest answer wins! The cnt statement can be multiple statements so lets make sure this appears only once The child() and next() member functions are about 30x as slow as the hasChild() and hasNext() operations. Keep it iterative <-- dropped this requirement as the recursive solution presented was faster. This is C++ code visit order of the nodes must stay as they are in the example below. ( hit parents first then the children then the 'next' nodes). BaseNodePtr is a boost::shared_ptr as thus assignments are slow, avoid any temporary BaseNodePtr variables. Currently this code takes 5897ms to visit 62200000 nodes in a test tree, calling this function 200,000 times. void processTree (BaseNodePtr current, unsigned int & cnt ) { bool down = true; while ( true ) { if ( down ) { while (true) { cnt++; // this can/will be multiple statesments if (!current->hasChild()) break; current = current->child(); } } if ( current->hasNext() ) { down = true; current = current->next(); } else { down = false; current = current->parent(); if (!current) return; // done. } } }

  • Hibernate CreateSQL Query Problem

    - by Shaded
    Hello All I'm trying to use hibernates built in createsql function but it seems that it doesn't like the following query. List =hibernateSession.createSQLQuery("SELECT number, location FROM table WHERE other_number IN (SELECT f.number FROM table2 AS f JOIN table3 AS g on f.number = g.number WHERE g.other_number = " + var + ") ORDER BY number").addEntity(Table.class).list(); I have a feeling it's from the nested select statement, but I'm not sure. The inner select is used elsewhere in the code and it returns results fine. This is my mapping for the first table: <hibernate-mapping> <class name="org.efs.openreports.objects.Table" table="table"> <id name="id" column="other_number" type="java.lang.Integer"> <generator class="native"/> </id> <property name="number" column="number" not-null="true" unique="true"/> <property name="location" column="location" not-null="true" unique="true"/> </class> </hibernate-mapping> And the .java public class Table implements Serializable { private Integer id;//panel_facility private Integer number; private String location; public Table() { } public void setId(Integer id) { this.id = id; } public Integer getId() { return id; } public void setNumber(Integer number) { this.number = number; } public Integer number() { return number; } public String location() { return location; } public void setLocation(String location) { this.location = location; } } Any suggestions? • In SVG is there a way to grab a shape anywhere when it has fill = "none"

    - by Shaunwithanau
    I have a series of shapes that I want the user to be able click anywhere on the shape to pick up as part of a drag and drop feature. All of these shapes are bounded by a rectangle. For example: <g id="shape1" fill="none" stroke="black"> <rect x="0" y="0" width="100" height="100"/> <circle cx="50" cy="50" r="50"/> </g> <g id="shape2" fill="none" stroke="black"> <rect x="0" y="0" width="100" height="100"/> <line x1="0" y1="0" x2="50" y2="100"/> <line x1="100" y1="0" x2="50" y2="100"/> </g> I already have all of the drag and drop parts working, the problem is all of these shapes have to have fill="none" so you can see anything that may be underneath of them. This means that even though they are bounded by the rectangle, at the moment users have to physically click on one of the lines in order to pick it up instead of being able to click anywhere on the shape like I want. My original idea was to use fill="white" and then set opacity="0" or some really low value but this applies to the stroke as well so this didn't work out. Any ideas on how I can get this working?

  • escape exactly what in javascript

    - by Emin
    Hi all, Being a newbie in javascript I came to a situation where I need more information on escaping characters in a string. Basically I know that in order to escape " I need to replace it with \" but what I don't know is for which characters I need to escape a particular string for. Is there a list of these "characters to escape"? or is it any character that is not a-zA-Z0-9 ? In my situation, I don't have control over the content that is being displayed on my page. Users enter some text and save it. I then use a webservice to extract them from the database, build a json array of objects, then iterate the array when I need to display them. In this case, I have - naturally - no idea of what the text the user has entered and therefore for what characters I need to escape. I also use jQuery for this specific project (just in case it has a function I am not aware of, to do what I need) Providing examples would be appreciated but I also want to learn the theory and logic behind it. Hope someone can be of any help.

  • List with non-null elements ends up containing null. A synchronization issue?

    - by Alix
    Hi. First of all, sorry about the title -- I couldn't figure out one that was short and clear enough. Here's the issue: I have a list List<MyClass> list to which I always add newly-created instances of MyClass, like this: list.Add(new MyClass()). I don't add elements any other way. However, then I iterate over the list with foreach and find that there are some null entries. That is, the following code: foreach (MyClass entry in list) if (entry == null) throw new Exception("null entry!"); will sometimes throw an exception. I should point out that the list.Add(new MyClass()) are performed from different threads running concurrently. The only thing I can think of to account for the null entries is the concurrent accesses. List<> isn't thread-safe, after all. Though I still find it strange that it ends up containing null entries, instead of just not offering any guarantees on ordering. Can you think of any other reason? Also, I don't care in which order the items are added, and I don't want the calling threads to block waiting to add their items. If synchronization is truly the issue, can you recommend a simple way to call the Add method asynchronously, i.e., create a delegate that takes care of that while my thread keeps running its code? I know I can create a delegate for Add and call BeginInvoke on it. Does that seem appropriate? Thanks.

  • Interview Q: sorting an almost sorted array (elements misplaced by no more than k)

    - by polygenelubricants
    I was asked this interview question recently: You're given an array that is almost sorted, in that each of the N elements may be misplaced by no more than k positions from the correct sorted order. Find a space-and-time efficient algorithm to sort the array. I have an O(N log k) solution as follows. Let's denote arr[0..n) to mean the elements of the array from index 0 (inclusive) to N (exclusive). Sort arr[0..2k) Now we know that arr[0..k) are in their final sorted positions... ...but arr[k..2k) may still be misplaced by k! Sort arr[k..3k) Now we know that arr[k..2k) are in their final sorted positions... ...but arr[2k..3k) may still be misplaced by k Sort arr[2k..4k) .... Until you sort arr[ik..N), then you're done! This final step may be cheaper than the other steps when you have less than 2k elements left In each step, you sort at most 2k elements in O(k log k), putting at least k elements in their final sorted positions at the end of each step. There are O(N/k) steps, so the overall complexity is O(N log k). My questions are: Is O(N log k) optimal? Can this be improved upon? Can you do this without (partially) re-sorting the same elements?

  • Use jQuery's dataTable plugin with a nested Ajax call

    - by mrr0ng
    I am trying to use a nested ajax call to populate a table, and once the table is built, use jQuery's dataTable plugin to pretty it up. The problem I am running into is an order of operations question. When do I call the dataTable function so that I can be assured that the table is built AFTER the values are populated? When I try the following code, the dataTable is created before the rows are built. <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { $.ajax({ url:"http://totalrockregistration.com/feeds/bands.php", dataType:"jsonp", success: function(jsonData){ $.each(jsonData.bands, function(i,bands){ if (bands.barID == "<?php echo $_GET["barID"]; ?>"){ var songIdFromBandJson = bands.song; var bandNameFromJson = bands.name; var bandScoreFromJson = bands.score; $.ajax({ url:"http://totalrockregistration.com/feeds/songs.php", dataType:"jsonp", success: function(songsJsonData){ $.each(songsJsonData.songs, function(i,songs){ if (songIdFromBandJson == songs.id){ var songName=(songs.name); $("#leaderBoardTable tbody").append("<tr><td>"+bandNameFromJson+"</td><td>"+bandScoreFromJson+"</td><td>"+songName+"</td></tr>"); } }); } }); } }); makeLeaderTable(); }, }); function makeLeaderTable(){ $('#leaderBoardTable').dataTable({ "aaSorting": [[ 1, "desc" ]], "iDisplayLength": 50 }); } }); </script>

  • php while loop throwing a error over a $var < 10 statement

    - by William
    Okay, so for some reason this is giving me a error as seen here: http://prime.programming-designs.com/test_forum/viewboard.php?board=0 However if I take away the '&& $cur_row < 10' it works fine. Why is the '&& $cur_row < 10' causing me a problem? $sql_result = mysql_query("SELECT post, name, trip, Thread FROM (SELECT MIN(ID) AS min_id, MAX(ID) AS max_id, MAX(Date) AS max_date FROM test_posts GROUP BY Thread ) t_min_max INNER JOIN test_posts ON test_posts.ID = t_min_max.min_id WHERE Board=".$board."   • C++ std::vector memory/allocation

    - by aaa
    from a previous question about vector capacity, http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2663170/stdvector-capacity-after-copying, Mr. Bailey said: In current C++ you are guaranteed that no reallocation occurs after a call to reserve until an insertion would take the size beyond the value of the previous call to reserve. Before a call to reserve, or after a call to reserve when the size is between the value of the previous call to reserve and the capacity the implementation is allowed to reallocate early if it so chooses. So, if I understand correctly, in order to assure that no relocation happens until capacity is exceeded, I must do reserve twice? can you please clarify it? I am using vector as a memory stack like this: std::vector<double> memory; memory.reserve(size); memory.insert(memory.end(), matrix.data().begin(), matrix.data().end()); // smaller than size size_t offset = memory.size(); memory.resize(memory.capacity(), 0); I need to guarantee that relocation does not happen in the above. thank you. ps: I would also like to know if there is a better way to manage memory stack in similar manner other than vector

  • Starting a process synchronously, and "streaming" the output

    - by Benjol
    I'm looking at trying to start a process from F#, wait till it's finished, but also read it's output progressively. Is this the right/best way to do it? (In my case I'm trying to execute git commands, but that is tangential to the question) let gitexecute (logger:string->unit) cmd = let procStartInfo = new ProcessStartInfo(@"C:\Program Files\Git\bin\git.exe", cmd) // Redirect to the Process.StandardOutput StreamReader. procStartInfo.RedirectStandardOutput <- true procStartInfo.UseShellExecute <- false; // Do not create the black window. procStartInfo.CreateNoWindow <- true; // Create a process, assign its ProcessStartInfo and start it let proc = new Process(); proc.StartInfo <- procStartInfo; proc.Start() |> ignore // Get the output into a string while not proc.StandardOutput.EndOfStream do proc.StandardOutput.ReadLine() |> logger What I don't understand is how the proc.Start() can return a boolean and also be asynchronous enough for me to get the output out of the while progressively. Unfortunately, I don't currently have a large enough repository - or slow enough machine, to be able to tell what order things are happening in...

  • Error emailing outgoing sms

    Is there anyway to listen for an outbound sms without having to import javax.wireless.messaging? • Building html structure in php or javascript?

    - by Adam
    I've been doing a lot of ajax calls and using the returned data to build html with javascript. However, I've noticed some people are returning the constructed html in the ajax calls since they're doing it all in php. What is the preferred method? I have a bunch of stuff already using javascript, so I guess I would prefer not changing everything to use just php. But, I'm assuming php would be more "secure."? The following is what I've been doing: $main_frag = $("<div class='order-container'/>"); $contact_frag = $("<div class='group'><div class='line-data'>Name: "+data.name+"</div><div class='line-data'>Email: "+data.email+"</div><div class='line-data'>Phone: "+data.phone+"</div></div>"); $address_frag = $("<div class='group'><div class='line-data'>Address 1: "+data.address_one+"</div><div class='line-data'>Address 2: "+address2+"</div><div class='line-data'>City: "+data.city+"</div><div class='line-data'>Province: "+data.province+"</div><div class='line-data'>Postal Code: "+data.postal+"</div></div>"); etc.. • TCP/IP Implementation General Questions

    - by user2971023
    I've implemented the concepts shown here; http://wiki.unity3d.com/index.php/Simple_TCP/IP_Client_-_Server outside of unity and it works. (though i had to create the TCPIPServerApp from scratch as i could not find the base project anywhere). I have some general questions on how to use tcp/ip properly however. I've done some research on tcp/ip itself but I'm still a little confused. It seems like using the method above doesn't guarantee that I'll see the message (res). It just checks on every update to see if there is a different message in res. What if multiple messages are sent and the program lags or something, will i miss the earlier packet(s)? Should i instead do an array so it stores the last X messages? How do i know the data was received? Do I need to add a message id and build in my own ack into the data? Should i check to see if the port is in use before setting up a connection? Sorry for all the questions. This is all new to me but I enjoy this very much! ... Below already answered By Anton, Thanks It sounds like tcp uses its own packet numbering to ensure the packets end up in the right order on the other side. What if a packet is missed, are the subsequent packets thrown away? Or is this numbering and packet ordering, only for handling data that is broken out into multiple packets? TCP will automatically break the data into multiple packets if necessary right?

  • For each result in MySQL query, push to array (complicated)

    - by Dylan Taylor
    Okay, here's what I'm trying to do. I am running a MySQL query for the most recent posts. For each of the returned rows, I need to push the ID of the row to an array, then within that ID in the array, I need to add more data from the rows. A multi-dimensional array. Here's my code thus far. $query = "SELECT * FROM posts ORDER BY id DESC LIMIT 10"; $result = mysql_query($query); while($row = mysql_fetch_array($result)){ $id = $row["id"]; $post_title = $row["title"]; $post_text = $row["text"]; $post_tags = $row["tags"]; $post_category = $row["category"]; $post_date = $row["date"]; } As you can see I haven't done anything with arrays yet. Here's an ideal structure I'm looking for, just incase you're confused. The master array I guess you could call it. We'll just call this array $posts. Within this array, I have one array for each row returned in my MySQL query. Within those arrays there is the $post_title, $post_text, etc. How do I do this? I'm so confused.. an example would be really appreciated. -Dylan

  • Using Read-Only Fields in a C# WebBrowser

    - by TheDramaLlama
    I'm currently using a WebBrowser control in a C# WinForms application, and attempting to control some variability presented with this control. Basically, my users log in to a separate UI provided by my application, which then displays the WebBrowser control, navigates to a predetermined log-in URL, and then auto-fills the username and password fields on that page. However, in order to prevent unpredictable behavior in this WebBrowser control, I want to make these username and password text boxes read-only after they are auto-populated. Essentially, I want the user to see a browser page that has been filled out for them, and that cannot be edited. (This is so that any authentication errors can be handled by my application as opposed to the browser.) The code I'm currently using to populate the text fields and make them read only is as follows: webBrowser1.Document.GetElementById("username").InnerText = username; webBrowser1.Document.GetElementById("password").InnerText = password; webBrowser1.Document.GetElementById("username").Enabled = false; webBrowser1.Document.GetElementById("password").Enabled = false; Unfortunately, when I try to make the fields read-only, the authentication server acts like the password field was not filled out, and prompts the user to fill it out again after the "Submit" button is clicked. Is this expected behavior, and if so, what other methods can I try to prevent users from changing the credentials that the browser was auto-populated with?

  • Error when using jquery webservice call to populate dropdownlist

    - by bugz
    For some reason when i tested parsing a json string to a dropdownlist it worked doing this var json = [{ "Id": "12345", "WorkUnitId": "SR0001954", "Description": "Test Service Request From Serena", "WorkUnitCategory": "ServiceRequest" }, { "Id": "12355", "WorkUnitId": "WOR001854", "Description": "Test Work Order From Serena", "WorkUnitCategory": "ServiceRequest" }, { "Id": "12365", "WorkUnitId": "DBR001274", "Description": "Test Database Related Service Request From Serena", "WorkUnitCategory": "ServiceRequest"}]; $(json).each(function() { comboboxWorkUnit.append($('<option>').val(this.Id).text(this.WorkUnitId)); }); However when i tryed taking the json from my webservice and placing it into the dropdownlist i get an error saying the dropdownlist doesnt support this metod. $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "Services/WorkUnitService.asmx/WorkUnit", data: "{'Number' : '" + Number.text() + "','Id': '" + combobox.val() + "','workerType': '" + EmployeeType + "'}", contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", dataType: "json", success: function(json) { $(json).each(function() { comboboxWorkUnit.append($('<option>').val(this.Id).text(this.WorkUnitId)); }); } }); I also tried which called the webservice method but through an error $.postJSON("Services/WorkUnitService.asmx/WorkUnitsForParAndPhase", "{'parNumber' : '" + parNumber + "','phaseId': '" + combobox.val() + "','workerType': '" + EmployeeType + "'}", function(data) { alert(data.toString()); }); And i tryed this which never called the webservice $.getJSON('Services/WorkUnitService.asmx/WorkUnitsForParAndPhase' + parNumber + '/' + combobox.val() + '/' + EmployeeType, function(myData) { alert(myData.toString()); });

  • Effective simulation of compound poisson process in Matlab

    - by Henrik
    I need to simulate a huge bunch of compound poisson processes in Matlab on a very fine grid so I am looking to do it most effectively. I need to do a lot of simulations on the same random numbers but with parameters changing so it is practical to draw the uniforms and normals beforehand even though it means i have to draw a lot more than i will probably need and won't matter much because it will only need to be done once compared to in the order 500*n repl times the actual compound process generation. My method is the following: Let T be for how long i need to simulate and N the grid points, then my grid is: t=linspace(1,T,N); Let nrepl be the number of processes i need then I simulate P=poissrnd(lambda,nrepl,1); % Number of jumps for each replication U=(T-1)*rand(10000,nrepl)+1; % Set of uniforms on (1,T) for jump times N=randn(10000,nrepl); % Set of normals for jump size Then for replication j: Poiss=P(j); % Jumps for replication Uni=U(1:Poiss,j);% Jump times Norm=mu+sigma*N(1:Poiss,j);% Jump sizes Then this I guess is where I need your advice, I use this one-liner but it seems very slow: CPP_norm=sum(bsxfun(@times,bsxfun(@gt,t,Uni),Norm),1); In the inner for each jump it creates a series of same length as t with 0 until jump and then 1 after, multiplying this will create a grid with zeroes until jump has arrived and then the jump size and finally adding all these will produce the entire jump process on the grid. How can this be done more effectively? Thank you very much.

  • iTunes Connect uploading issue

    - by CindySeattle
    Too bad that iTunes Connect changed its behavior recently. I'm providing an update to an existing app. I submitted new binary using the Loader without problem on the first try. Then I discovered that different from before, one has to reject the binaries in order to change screenshots. Too bad that the update is in the status of "In Review". Well, I have to rejected my binaries and begin to upload new screenshots, because I don't want to display screenshots of previous version. The new screen shots are uploaded but I'm stuck in "Developer rejected" status. Meaning I cannot upload the binaries and not able to change screenshots from that time on. The following error will appear when click Save Changes in either situations. "There was an error saving changes. Please try again later or contact iTunes Connect Support at [email protected]." I checked the source of the error page and think it's this error id="lcBoxWrapperHeaderTextUpdaterContainer" action="/WebObjects/iTunesConnect.woa/wo/7.0.0.9.7.7.1.1.1.1" errorId="ajaxContainerError" I have reported iTune Connect via the "Contact us" link on this issue but not get any response back for 2 days already. Very disappointing. Did anybody experience similar issue? How did you resolve this?
