• Embedding existing page in a CakePHP site

  We have an existing PHP page (from an earlier project) which could be described as cryptic and ancient. It basically displays a form, catches the input and runs an external application to process the input and then pipes the output to the user. I would really like not to modify this file any more than is required. Would there be an easy way to just make this file magically work by copying it to some location in the CakePHP's directory and have it receive $POST etc. as usual?

  when I try and run the "rake db:seed" command the rails console outputs "NoMethodError: undefined method `db' for #" not quite sure what going on. I'm using netbeans to build my rails project which is using the built-in JRuby 1.2 would that have anything to do with it?

• Objects of the same name in base and derived class not getting flagged as an error

  class Base { public: type1 m_Pants; }; class Derived : Base { public: type2 m_Pants }; This essentially didn't get flagged as an error, but was creating all kinds of clobbering and issues throughout a project. Does anyone know of a technicality that wouldn't flag this?

  Hey people I've got an issue with a WPF project I'm working on, I have an items control which I add to and remove from certain user controls, these contols styles and attached properties are there on first view but when I remove and add them again the user control apears on screen but is detached from the items control attached properties and styles.   Is it possible, from within ASP.NET MVC, to route to different controllers or actions based on the accessing device/browser? I'm thinking of setting up alternative actions and views for some parts of my website in case it is accessed from the iPhone, to optimize display and functionality of it. • Is there a way to get CVS rdiff info using a branch, a revision, AND a date?

  I want a list of everything that's changed on my project's branch, since a specified revision, but with a specified cut-off date... So, this is the command I would like to be able to run: cvs -q rdiff -s -r v2_release_3 -r myproj_v2_release -D 2010-04-10 myproj ...but, of course CVS only wants up to 2 revisions / dates and I just get an error "rdiff aborted".

Currently if i change some styles in my qss file but dont remove the file and re-add it to the qrc file the old version of my qss file is used. Thanks.

  Hi I'm working on a project where I have code like the following: #define NAME() Array inline NAME()* NAME()_init (void* arg0){return (NAME()*)Object_init(arg0);} But I get the following result: inline Array* Array _init (void* arg0){return (Array*)Object_init(arg0);} With a space between the "Array" and the "_init" Because this is a function name, I obviously do not want the space. • Base SDK Missing? No, I fixed that. Still?!

  XCode 3.2.3 Beta does not allow building for below 3.2. I opened a project that was made in an earlier XCode. For some reason, the base SDK is reported as missing even after changing it to 4.0. Other projects from earlier XCode do not have this issue. What can I do?
