  • Check for type of file system in an MSI package

    In my MSI package I need to set user rights to a directory using cacls.exe. It works fine in an NTFS environment but fails when run on a Fat32 file system. Is there a method to determine the type of file system of the drive the software is installed to? I'm using WiX 3 to create my MSI package but any hint pointing to the MSI database would help as well. Many thanks in advance.

    I want to show a table with the list of strings which are localized. The straightforward method would be: a) Point data source to my ViewController b) Define an array c) Allocate the array in my ViewController and init (arrayWithObjects) it with the strings from localized resources (NSLocalizedString) d) Use this array in UITableViewDataSource delegated methods Mainly my concern is item b). The construction looks quite heavy and I wonder whether I can somehow specify and load whole list of localized string at once.

  • A question mark within a @PathVariable in Spring MVC?

    Within the @Controller of a search engine: @RequestMapping(value = "/search/{query}", method = RequestMethod.GET) public String search(@PathVariable String query) {} If a user wants to search /search/w?rld (wich should match world, warld, whrld, etc.), the variable query equals w, because of the question mark which indicated a GET var. I tried "/search/{query:.+}", but still doesn't work. Any idea how to solve that problem?

    Hi, I'm running through the Ruby on Rails tutorial at http://guides.rubyonrails.org/getting_started.html (adjusting where appropriate for Google's App Engine). All is well up till section 6.3: when I try to click "New Post", I get the following error: Internal Server Error (500) Request Method: GET Request URL: http://localhost:8080/500.html access denied (java.io.FilePermission /dev/urandom read) It works fine when I upload the application to Google's App Engine; it's just on my development machine (OS X 10.6) that it doesn't work.   • Is there anyway to programmably flush the buffer in log4net

    Hi I'm using log4net with AdoNetAppender. It's seems that the AdoNetAppender has a Flush method. Is there anyway I can call that from my code? I'm trying to create an admin page to view all the entries in the database log, and I will like to setup log4net with bufferSize=100 (or more), then I want the administrator to be able to click an button on the admin page to force log4net to write the buffered log entries to the database (without shutting down log4net). Is that possible?

    I'm writing a Chrome extension that uses a content script to modify certain parts of a website. The content script worked fine until I tried to add an options page to my extension.   • How to wire a verifier to a 2.0m5 Restlet using the spring extension and an xml config?

    I can't seem to find any example of how to do this. Imperatively in java it would be a piece of cake of course, but I can't seem to figure out how to inject my JaasVerifier into my SpringComponent declaratively from within the xml. It appears from the method signatures that Verifier is designed to be attached to Context, but the instance of Context itself is created as a side effect of the SpringComponent creation so I can't get a hold of it in Spring. There must be something I am missing.
