  Confused here. What's the best way to change the hover CSS of the link below, and how? toggle.Class? add.Class? I want to show an image on hover. • Does urllib2.urlopen() actually fetch the page?

  hi all, I was condering when I use urllib2.urlopen() does it just to header reads or does it actually bring back the entire webpage? IE does the HTML page actually get fetch on the urlopen call or the read() call? handle = urllib2.urlopen(url) html = handle.read() The reason I ask is for this workflow... I have a list of urls (some of them with short url services) I only want to read the webpage if I haven't seen that url before I need to call urlopen() and use geturl() to get the final page that link goes to (after the 302 redirects) so I know if I've crawled it yet or not. I don't want to incur the overhead of having to grab the html if I've already parsed that page. thanks!

• CSS: Why won't this box get wider?

  I just need a sanity check here... DEMO Basically, I can't figure out how to get the box under the link to get wider as more content is added. It seems fixed to the width of the parent div (or the width of, say, the longest element like the select or a really long word with no spaces), despite being absolutely positioned. I use this trick all the time with ul and li but it doesn't make sense to use that in my situation, and for some crazy reason it just won't work with a div inside a div. I don't want to set a width (which, of course, works) because I don't always know what will be in this box. GRR Thanks :\

• ListView not showing up in fragment

  When I insert a listview in a fragment in my application, it doesn't show up after I populate it with items. In fact, the application crashes due to a NullPointerException. Can anybody help me? • Detecting if a browser's cache is full

  We've identified that full browser caches are the cause of a problem on our extranet. It only affects a small number of our users, but we'd like to alert them to the problem and give them some guidance on how to fix the problem for themselves. We'd like to use a similar system to the one which GMail uses. When it detects that your browser's cache is full, it shows a warning message telling users that their cache is full and that it may cause problems with GMail, along with a link to a Gmail Help page on clearing your browser's cache. Does anyone know if there any resources out there, or examples of how to use JavaScript to detect that the browser's cache is full? Thanks.

  I was reading the static maps API, and it says you can include a custom marker in the GET params. You simply link to an image file. I now have a second Google Map within an iframe, and was wondering if you can attach custom markers via the GET params to it?   I have a weird situation. I have three entities, Company, Employee, Plan and Participation (in retirement plan). Company PK: Company ID Plan PK: Company ID, Plan ID Employee PK: Company ID, SSN, Employee ID Participation PK: Company ID, SSN, Plan ID The problem is in linking the employee to the participation. From a DB perspective, participation should have Employee ID in the PK (it's not even in table). But it doesn't. NHibernate won't let me map the "has many" because the link expects 3 columns (since Employee PK has 3 columns), but I'd only provide 2. Any ideas on how to do this?

  I'm new to the CKEditor and I'm trying to create a simple plugin. What I'm hoping to accomplish is to allow the user to highlight some text and then hover on a new item in the toolbar that drops down on mouse over a few different highlight color options for the text. For example, the user could highlight some text, hover on my new item and then select a highlight color. This will be similar to the 'BGColor' plugin except instead of opening a color palette to choose from, the user would select from a drop down of options similar to when you choose to change the font size you have a list of options such as '10', '11', '12', etc. Any help would be appreciated on how to pull this off. I was hoping to check out how 'BGColor' and 'FontSize' plugins where implemented, but I can't find these in ../ckeditor/_source/plugins. Am I looking in the right spot? Also, the link for plugins here - http://docs.cksource.com/CKEditor_3.x/Developers_Guide isn't clickable so I'm not sure if there's a place for plugin documentation that I can check out.

• Onclick starts gif animation and .mp3, how to sync across browsers

  So I am using a text-based jplayer (http://jplayer.org/latest/demo-04/) that I want to sync with a gif animation. Onclick the text link does two things -1. feed the jplayer an mp3 and 2. trigger an animation (via SwapImage). It is important for these two to start at the same time. Right now, this works perfectly in chrome/firefox but in IE and mobile browsers the audio lags considerably. I have tried with the audio preloaded (it is a small 40K mp3) and it makes no difference. I dont think its a bandwidth problem because the problem is the same on repeat clicks. Any pointers on how I can resolve this...
