I am sorting a hash in Perl. I encountered an Out of memory error when running my Perl Script:
foreach $key (sort (keys(%hash))) {
....
}
How do I sort a hash that has tons of data?
I am hoping to write a script that will allow for the detection of video on a url and provide a download link to a *flv for google chrome.
Anyone have any suggestions were to start and get a footing?
Table 1 has columns : entry_id user_id ...
Table 2 has columns : entry_id user_id ...
the user_id entry is not always the same so I would like to extract both of them so I can later on compare them in my script
SELECT * FROM
table1 as t1
INNER JOIN table2 as t2 on t1.entry_id=t2.entry_id
WHERE t1.user_id='%s'
I would like to extract t1.user_id and t2.user_id ...the problem is the result array has only user_id
thank you
I am trying to write a script that I can give to user to have it automatically zip certain files of theirs and then load them onto an ftp site.
Anyone know where I could find information on writing a batch file for auto-zipping files using only what is available to a user running windows? I have been looking for quite a bit but I am struggling.
Thanks.
Im trying to sort any array with array_multisort and everything is working great. However, based on conditions in my script, I need to change the options. So What I have so far is this:
array_multisort(
$sort1,SORT_ASC,
$sort2,SORT_ASC,
$sort3,SORT_ASC,
$arraytosort
);
and what I would like to have is something like this:
$dynamicSort = "$sort1,SORT_ASC,$sort2,SORT_ASC,$sort3,SORT_ASC,";
array_multisort(
$dynamicSort,
$arraytosort
);
Any suggestions?

Hi,
Does anyone know if it is possible to encode a video using ffmpeg in reverse? (So the resulting video plays in reverse?)
I think I can by generating images for each frame (so a folder of images labelled 1.jpg, 2.jpg etc), then write a script to change the image names, and then re-encode the ivdeo from these files.
Does anyone know of a quicker way?
This is an FLV video.
Thank you
Not sure if this is possible..basically a server forwards/bridges an incoming connection
Client - Server - Destination
Now, rather than a normal proxy script on the server(or a simple redirect),
1) the Destination sees the incoming connection as from the CLIENT (not from the SERVER).. aka masking the server
2) the Server in the middle streams the data back to the client(without downloading it first, then passing it)
Anyone know how to do this or something like it in PHP ?
I am trying to have a custom URL which looks like this:
example.com/site/yahoo.com
which would hit this script like this=
example.com/details?domain=yahoo.com
can this be done using app.yaml?
the basic idea is to call "details" with the input "yahoo.com"
I know this is common in most languages, and maybe in C, as well. Can C handle separating several functions out to a separate file and having them be included?
The functions will rely on other include files, as well. I want the code to retain all functionality, but the code will be reused in several C scripts, and if I change it once I do not wish to have to go through every script and change it there, too.
I need to show a webpage (a complex page with script and stuff, no static html) in a frame or something. It's for a desktop application, I'm using python 2.6 + wxPython 2.8.10.1. I need to catch some events too (mostly about changing page). I've found some samples using the webview module in a gtk application, but I couldn't have it works on wx.
I am looking for a good Tree data structure class. I have come across this package, but since I am relatively new to Python (not programming), I dont know if there are any better ones out there.
I'd like to hear from the Pythonistas on here - do you have a favorite tree script that you regularly use and would recommend?
I need to make an installer for a MySQL 5.1 Database, but I'm totally a noob when it comes to installers.
I've been looking at NSIS and learned a little but I don't really know how to use it to just to execute a script.
Anyone out there has experience installing database schemas in multiple computers?
thanks
This doesn't need to be a real time solution, but are there some log files or system messages that could be read to identify periods of time where someone was connected via RDP to a Windows 7 machine?
I'm building a watchdog script for a computer which will be deployed in a remote place and would like to add this metric to a daily status update.
I'm thinking whether it makes sense in order to increase the speed of the website to do some strategy of caching the js files that are being included ?
one idea that I have is to do something like this:
[OutputCache(Location = OutputCacheLocation.Any, Duration = 3600)]
public JsController : Controller
public ActionResult JQuery()
{
//I would have a ascx with the entire jquery script inside
return View();
}
and on the site.master:
<%=Html.RenderAction("JQuery","JsController");
I'm trying to create a cron job which will automatically delete .jpg files from a particular folder that haven't been accessed for more than 5 days. Running the cron job is not a problem, but how do I go about writing the script which will take care of the deletion?
I have some php code, that execute for a very long time.
I need to realise next scheme:
User enter on some page(page 1)
This page starts execution of my large PHP script in background .(Every change is writting to database)
We sent every N seconds query to database to get current status of execution.
I don't want to use exec command because 1000 users makes 1000 php processes. It's not way for me...
Working with printf in a bash script, adding no spaces after "\n" does not create a newline, whereas adding a space creates a newline, e. g.:
No space after "\n"
NewLine=`printf "\n"`
echo -e "Firstline${NewLine}Lastline"
Result:
FirstlineLastline
Space after "\n "
NewLine=`printf "\n "`
echo -e "Firstline${NewLine}Lastline"
Result:
Firstline
Lastline
Question: Why doesn't 1. create the following result:
Firstline
Lastline
I know that this specific issue could have been worked around using other techniques, but I want to focus on why 1. does not work.
I have a series of python scripts with execute permissions in Linux. They are stored in SVN.
If I then run svn up to update them, the overwritten files are back to 644 - ie no execute permissions for anyone.
Yes I could just script it to chmod +x * afterwards, but surely there's a way to store permissions in SVN or to maintain them when you update?
Any suggestions appreciated.
Hello, I have an easy script, that works in all browsers, except IE(8, haven't tryed lower versions yet).
$('.deleteItemIcon').click(function() {
var deleteConfirm = confirm('Do you really wanna delete that item?')
if (!deleteConfirm) {
return false;
}
});
Can you see a reason, why that shouldn't be working, if yes, how to make it work?
I maintain a product that is installed at multiple locations which as been haphazardly upgraded. Unique constraints were added to a number of tables, but I have no idea what the names are at any particular instance. What I do know is the table/columnname pair that has the unique constraints and I would like to write a script to delete any unique constraint on these column/table combinations. This is MSSQL 2000 and later. Something that works on 2000/2005/2008 would be best!
My Zend application is going to get an command line php script that should email reports. There generation depends on Zend_View, Zend_Layout and is currently already working fine in the web interface.
How can I reuse this whole MVC functionality in the command line?
Should I add a new controller CommandLineController and call this somehow from the commandline?
How can I kick of such a Controller manually, without having a HTTP request?
I'm making the call using the following script which is called on click of an anchor tag
function GetToken(videoId) {
debugger;
var json = $.getJSON("/Vod/RequestAccessToken/"+videoId, function(result){
alert("token recieved: " + result.token);
});
}
In the server application I recieve the call so I know it is a valid URL, but the callback is not being invoked. If i set though the jquery code (f11/f10) the callback is called??!!!?
I have a PHP script that checks the HTTP Referer.
if ($_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'] == 'http://www.example.com/') {...}
However, this seems inherintly unsafe ... because what happens if the user goes to 'http://example.com/' or 'http://www.ExaMple.com' (both of which don't match the equality test).
Question: what's a better equality test to ensure that the HTTP Referer is coming from 'example.com' ?
