    i have one js file in that js file i have following variables var image_path="images"; var style_path="style"; i want to use these variables in html file(s) like in image statement <img src="path from js/logo.gif"> or in style sheet statement <link rel="stylesheet" href="path from js/constant.css" type="text/css" /> Basic idea behind this is: if we change name of image folder or path of image folder we only do change in one JS file not 1000 html files. same for style sheet. or any other way to do same in java script or Jquery Thanks

So the page users visit to see the connection info (meetingID, password) includes the start time of the meeting.   • jquery ui - making dialogs more "dynamic" ?

    Hello, I have a page that uses multiple dialogs for different things. Some dialogs may have buttons that others do not while other may need to be a different height than another... All of them have a set of params that will not change. My question, can I have a default like: $('.someElement').dialog({ width: 999, show: 'slide', hide: 'slide', ETC: 'some other option' }); and use it for all of my dialogs, then pass buttons or height to it dynamically when I open a dialog? It just seems wrong to have something like the above for every dialog I need... Thanks!

The script, function invoke(btn) { if(btn == 0) document.results.action="gev.do"; if(btn == 1) document.results.action="del.do"; document.results.submit(); } What basically i do is, depending on the selection of button, i pass a value to the servlet, either for updation or deletion. My question is, how can i validate the radiobutton, ie, i can any one help me out writing the js to validate if any one of the radio button is selected. All my efforts are in vein and i now use server side validation.

    It seems to work ok but I don't know if this can be impoved on or not. I want to select any HTML tag that has a class of edit-text-NUM or edit-html-NUM and change the color of it. Here is what I am using... jQuery(document).ready(function(){ jQuery('*') .filter(function() { return this.className.match(/edit-(text|html)-\d/); }) .css({ 'color': '#ff0000' }); }); Does that look ok and is the regex ok? *edit: Also is this efficient? I am aware that using jQuery('*') might be a bit of a hog if it's a large page. It only has to work from <body> down so maybe it could be changed?
