  I have two arrays of hashes. Array1 => [{attribute_1 = A, attribute_2 = B}, {attribute_1 = A, attribute_2 = B}] Array2 => [{attribute_3 = C, attribute_2 = D}, {attribute_3 = C, attribute_4 = D}] Each hash in the array is holding attributes for an object. In the above example, there are two objects that I'm working with. There are two attributes in each array for each object How do I merge the two arrays? I am trying to get a single array (there is no way to get a single array from the start because I have to make two different API calls to get these attributes). DesiredArray => [{attribute_1 = A, attribute_2 = B, attribute_3 = C, attribute_2 = D}, {attribute_1 = A, attribute_2 = B, attribute_3 = C, attribute_2 = D}] I've tried a couple things, including the iteration methods and the merge method, but I've been unable to get the array I need.

• Does std::multiset guarntee insertion order?

  I have a std::multiset which stores elements of class A. I have provided my own implementation of operator< for this class. My question is if I insert two equivalent objects into this multiset is their order guaranteed? For example, first I insert a object a1 into the set and then I insert an equivalent object a2 into this set. Can I expect the a1 to come before a2 when I iterate through the set? If no, is there any way to achieve this using multiset?

  I have a .c file with the following uint8_t buffer[32] I have a .S file where I want to do the following cpi r29, buffer+sizeof(buffer) The second argument for cpi muste be an imidiate value not a location. But unfortunetly sizeof() is a c operator. Both files, are getting compiled to seperate object files and linked afterwards. If I do avr-objdump -x file.c. Amongst other things, I get the size of the buffer. So it is already available in the object file. How do I access the size of the buffer in my assembly file at compile time?

  Hi, I am getting a client date in javscript function using "new date()" object. But this object is considering the properties set for Date&Time control in the control panel of the system. For example, If I check the check box of Date&Time control of the system (control panel) "Automatically adjust clock for daylight saving changes", then I am getting the date(from javscript) according to the Daylight savings time and if I uncheck it, I am getting the date according to the standard time. What I need is to get the date from a Javscript function irrespective of the Date&Time control of the control panel. Thanks Rupa.

• Compiling and executing through commandLine shows NoClassDefFoundError when trying to find Java pack

  I have a client/server program that attempts to send and receive an object. There are three packages: server, client and shared shared contains only the Message class I put Message.java from shared package into the same folder as calcclient package source files and calcserver package source files. I compile using the line: javac -classpath .; Message.java They can compile. Then I change directory up one level and ran with: java -classpath .; .Main When I use Netbeans to run, the entire program works as per normal. But not if I run from command line. If its executed through command line, the program will work until it needs to use the Message object. Then it will show a NoClassDefFoundError Am I putting the right files at the right places? How do I get the program to find shared package through command line?

  This is probably a very silly question (I just started learning Prolog a few hours ago), but is it possible to find all the clauses related to an atom? For example, assuming the following knowledge base: cat(tom). animal(X) :- cat(X). , is there a way to obtain every possible information about tom (or at least all the facts that are explicitly stated in the base)? I understand that a query like this is not possible: ?- Pred(tom). so I thought I could write a rule that would deduce the correct information: meta(Object, Predicate) :- Goal =.. [Predicate, Object], call(Goal). so that I could write queries such as ?- meta(tom, Predicate). but this does not work because arguments to call are not sufficiently instantiated. So basically my question is: is this at all possible, or is Prolog not design to provide this kind of information? And if it is not possible, why?

  I have strange behaviour with my app after run it on Windows 7. It's connected with NotifyIcon while app is minimized. What should happens: 1) Click once on icon with mouse left button then Balloon with some text should appears 2) Double click on icon will show again app window On Windows 7 MouseDoubleClick is also fired but window is not showing. I don't know why.   Hi there, back again with some more SQLAlchemy shenanigans. Let me step through this. My table is now set up as so: engine = create_engine('sqlite:///:memory:', echo=False) metadata = MetaData() students_table = Table('studs', metadata, Column('sid', Integer, primary_key=True), Column('name', String), Column('preferences', Integer), Column('allocated_rank', Integer), Column('allocated_project', Integer) ) metadata.create_all(engine) mapper(Student, students_table) Fairly simple, and for the most part I've been enjoying the ability to query almost any bit of information I want provided I avoid the error cases below. The class it is mapped from is: class Student(object): def __init__(self, sid, name): self.sid = sid self.name = name self.preferences = collections.defaultdict(set) self.allocated_project = None self.allocated_rank = 0 def __repr__(self): return str(self) def __str__(self): return "%s %s" %(self.sid, self.name) Explanation: preferences is basically a set of all the projects the student would prefer to be assigned. When the allocation algorithm kicks in, a student's allocated_project emerges from this preference set. Now if I try to do this: for student in students.itervalues(): session.add(student) session.commit() It throws two errors, one for the allocated_project column (seen below) and a similar error for the preferences column: sqlalchemy.exc.InterfaceError: (InterfaceError) Error binding parameter 4 - probably unsupported type. u'INSERT INTO studs (sid, name, allocated_rank, allocated_project) VALUES (?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?)' [1101, 'Muffett,M.', 1, 888 Human-spider relationships (Supervisor id: 123)] If I go back into my code I find that, when I'm copying the preferences from the given text files, it actually refers to the Project class which is mapped to a dictionary, using the unique project id's (pid) as keys. Thus, as I iterate through each student via their rank and to the preferences set, it adds not a project id, but the reference to the project id from the projects dictionary. students[sid].preferences[int(rank)].add(projects[int(pid)]) Now this is very useful to me since I can find out all I want to about a student's preferred projects without having to run another check to pull up information about the project id. The form you see in the error has the object print information passed as: return "%s %s (Supervisor id: %s)" %(self.proj_id, self.proj_name, self.proj_sup) My questions are: I'm trying to store an object in a database field aren't I? Would the correct way then, be copying the project information (project id, name, etc) into its own table, referenced by the unique project id? That way I can just have the project id field for one of the student tables just be an integer id and when I need more information, just join the tables? So and so forth for other tables? If the above makes sense, then how does one maintain the relationship with a column of information in one table which is a key index on another table? Does this boil down into a database design problem? Are there any other elegant ways of accomplishing this? Apologies if this is a very long-winded question. It's rather crucial for me to solve this, so I've tried to explain as much as I can, whilst attempting to show that I'm trying (key word here sadly) to understand what could be going wrong.

(I do not use hibernate) Use the HashMap to send the domain object field values in the form of Map with the help of BeanUtilsBean class. For multiple objects, use the List. Similary, use the Map to submit form values from client to server Is there any performance advantage for option 1 over 2?.   I have a Python program that spawns many threads, runs 4 at a time, and each performs an expensive operation. Pseudocode: for object in list: t = Thread(target=process, args=(object)) # if fewer than 4 threads are currently running, t.start(). Otherwise, add t to queue But when the program is run, Activity Monitor in OS X shows that 1 of the 4 logical cores is at 100% and the others are at nearly 0. Obviously I can't force the OS to do anything but I've never had to pay attention to performance in multi-threaded code like this before so I was wondering if I'm just missing or misunderstanding something. • Core Data deleteObject: sets attributes to nil

  I am implementing an undo/redo mechanism in my app. This works fine for lots of cases. However, I can't undo past deleteObject:. the object is correctly saved in the undo queue, and I get it back and reinsterted into the Core Data stack just fine when calling undo. The problem is that all it's attributes are getting set to nil when I delete it. I have an entity "Canvas" with a to-many relationship called "graphics" to a "Graphic" entity, which has its inverse set to "canvas". Deleting a Graphic, then inserting it back, doesn't work.   I'm trying to bind a table of structures to a DataGridView. Loading and viewing the table is working fine but I can't edit a value and get it stored back into the table. Here's what I'm doing. I have a "primitive" data type, Real defined by public struct MyReal:IMyPrimative { public Double m_Real; //... public MyReal(String val) { m_Real = default(Double); Init(val); } //... } It gets used in a structure: public struct MyReal_Record : IMyRecord { public MyReal Freq { get; set;} MyReal_Record(String[] vals) { Init(vals); } } And the structure is used to define a table using a generic Binding List public class MyTable<S> : BindingList<S> where S: struct, IMyRecord { public Type typeofS; public MyTable() { typeofS = typeof(S); // ... } This table is used as a binding source for a grid, dynamically. private void miLoadFile_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { MyModel.Table<Real_Record> RTable = new MyModel.Table<Real_Record>(); //... Table initialized here //set up grid with virtual mode dataGridView1.DataSource = RTable; } All of this works fine and I can create RTable, initialize it and display it in a grid. The grid allows editing and has events set for CellParsing and CellFormatting which look like: private void dataGridView1_CellFormatting(object sender, DataGridViewCellFormattingEventArgs e) { if (e.DesiredType != typeof(String)) return; e.Value = e.Value.ToString(); } private void dataGridView1_CellParsing(object sender, DataGridViewCellParsingEventArgs e) { if (e.DesiredType != typeof(MyReal)) return; e.Value = new MyReal(e.Value.ToString()); e.ParsingApplied = true; this.dataGridView1.UpdateCellValue(e.ColumnIndex, e.RowIndex); } When I edit a value in a cell, I can change the text. On leaving the cell, CellParsing fires and the event handler is called. Everything seems to be correct going into the CellParsing handler. e.DesiredType is MyReal. e.Value is a string with the new value. After the new MyReal is created from the string, e.Value is set correctly. RowIndex and ColumnIndex are correct. ReadOnly is set false. However, when I leave the cell, the system restores the original value to the cell. I thought the UpdateCellValue would replace the value in the dataSource but I seem to be missing something.   I'm writing a utility that takes in a .resx file and creates a javascript object containing properties for all the name/value pairs in the .resx file. This is all well and good, until one of the values in the .resx is This dealer accepts electronic orders. /r/nClick to order {0} from this dealer. I'm adding the name/value pairs to the js object like this: streamWriter.Write(string.Format("\n{0} : \"{1}\"", kvp.Key, kvp.Value)); When kvp.Value = "This dealer accepts electronic orders./r/nClick to order {0} from this dealer." This causes StreamWriter.Write() to actually place a newline in between 'orders.' and 'Click', which naturally screws up my javascript output. I've tried different things with @ and without using string.Format, but I've had no luck. Any suggestions?

  I have been asked to create import functionality in my application. I am getting an excel worksheet as input. The worksheet has column headers followed by data. The users want to simply select an xls file from their system, click upload and the tool deletes the table in the database and adds this new data. I thought the best way would be too bring the data into a datatable object and do a foeach for every row in the datatable insert row by row into the db. My question is what can anyone give me code to open an excel file, know what line the data starts on in the file, and import the data into a datable object?

• Puzzled with nib files...

  I know nib files are serialized objects and they have owner, outlets to make connections. Using XCode Navigation window template I created application, which in its order created 2 nib files - MainWindow and SecondView. I can't understand how MainWindow is referring to SecondView, there is no connection between those two as far as I can see. SecondView's owner is UIViewController and in MainWindow there is a navigation tab which is also UIViewController. But how they are connected in IB I can't understand... Also I don't understand who is instanciating MainWindow's owner object and where that object is being kept, where is the variable which is UIApplication myApp = [[UIApplication alloc] init]. If I create 10 nib files with UIViewController owner, who will trigger their deserialization? If some class is nib file's owner, what is the essential responsibilities of that class? Is it deserializing nib file into memory? Sorry for unorganized questions, I've been reading numerous articles and docs about nib files, but it is still confusing.

• java spring and ftl

  I defined a modelview object named "buttonpressed" in spring controller file and I need to access that modelview object in ftl(freemarker) file which is being returned as a view from a controller like abcd.java The abcd.java controller code is as below if (questionAnswer.getAnswerId() == 1045) { modelAndView.addObject("buttonPressed","You have been added in mailing list"); modelAndView.setViewName("enterCode_nextSteps"); } else { modelAndView.addObject("buttonPressed","Not added in the mailing list"); modelAndView.setViewName("enterCode_nextSteps"); } the below ajax function is working fine currently but I am not sure how to access this object called "buttonpressed" in this ajax function. • Postback problem downloading zip file

  I've got a problem on a webforms application where a user selects some criteria from dropdowns on the page and hits a button on the page which calls this method: protected void btnSearch_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) They then click on button to download a zip file based on the criteria which calls this method: protected void btnDownload_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) In IE, they are prompted with the bar at the top of the browser that tells them "To help protect your security, Internet Explorer blocked this site from downloading files to your computer". When they click on that bar to download the file, it fires the btnSearch_Click event again. Response.ContentType and Response.AddHeader has been set up correctly. The problem is, that btnSearch appends criteria so basically it is being appended twice and causing problems. Is there something I can do to prevent this? This is a vs2008 web app using c# 3.5 for what it's worth. Thanks!
