• Passing local variables to Erlydtl block

  Hi, I've got a block of erlydtl code which I use repeatedly and would like to abstract to some kind of block / partial template. The issue is that I need to pass the block a local variable. This is possible with Rails partial templates; it looks like it's possible with Django's blocks [albeit with some kind of Python hackery]; I'm wondering if it's possible with Erlydtl [Erlang implementation of Django templates] Ideas ?   I am getting an error that I cannot figure out: ActionView::MissingTemplate (Missing template cluster/delete_stuff.erb in view path app/views) <...snip trace...> Rendering rescues/layout (internal_server_error) I am "enhancing" others code and am following the convention they set up, where they have have code like: <%= render :partial => "other_stuff" %> And a file named _other_stuff.html.erb and it all works, but when I copy these little snippets, I get the above error. Any ideas? Something is going on here that I need to figure out.

  I am using a viewmodel, which i then when to send to an actionresult to use (the modified viewmodel) But in the controller, i lose the list and objects in my viewmodel.   Hello, to initialize a javascript loaded grid, I need to pass a list of values from controller/gsp. Since the javascript is activated once the page is rendered/loaded, there may not be a direct way to do it. 2 possibilities 1. do an ajax call, and retrieve the list of values from the server 2. store the list in html as a hidden element, and read it from javascript. option 2 seems better as it avoids few calls back to server. So, which control should I use for a list of values? Any jQuery code snippet to read it back into array/list. thanks in advance.

  The documentation of jQuery.animate states that The only required parameter is a map of CSS properties. This map is similar to the one that can be sent to the .css() method, except that the range of properties is more restrictive. So, why does this work $('#con div').css( { top : function(i) { console.log(i); return (i * 500) + 'px'; } } ); and this doesn't? $('#con div').animate( { top : function(i) { console.log(i); return (i * 500) + 'px'; } } ); The console shows that the function is being evaluated for css, but not for animate. Am I missing something? By the way, I'm using 1.4.2.

• Display a "Waiting Message" before the POST form send

  I have a upload file form, when you hit Submit it send the file to my server, but it takes a while, in the mean time i need to tell the user wait in order to get the file uploaded, because he can press Submit again because there is no menssage to prevent him. So, the user fill a few fields in the form, including a file. When he Send the form it sends the variables via POST to the same page: <form action="<?php echo $_SERVER['PHP_SELF']; ?>" enctype="multipart/form-data" method="post"> A php script detect the page now have POST variables a do something. In the time between the send action and the page reload i need to display a mensage, how can i do that??? Thanks It will be nice if you now how to trigger that with colorbox. I know how to use it from a link but no from this POST action.

  Hi! I need to insert a Flash movie in a Visual Basic 2008 express form and send parameters to the movie, but am a newbie to VB. The flash movie will plot points sent by VB in a graph. I tried to insert the Shockwave Flash control in the form but cannot find it anywhere. So I inserted the webbrowser control, which I understand can be used to a similar purpose. But how would I send the values of X and Y (coordinates to plot in Flash) to the flash swf? Thanks for any help!

  Hi, I have this code written in .NET 4.0 using VS2010 Ultimate Beta 2: smtpClient.Send(mailMsg); smtpClient is a reference to SmtpClient (I have the relevant references added), and likewise for mailMsg (is MailMessage) - there are no errors stating anything like check for missing assemblies. However, I keep getting an error saying that I have the incorrect no of overloads, when SmtpClient takes either a MailMessage object or the To address, From address, Subject, etc. Why doesn't this code work? Totally confused. Thanks

  I have a form that is extend from Zend_Form. I am placing the form into a ViewScript decorator like this: $this->setDecorators(array(array('ViewScript', array('viewScript' => 'game/forms/game-management.phtml')))); I'd like to pass in a variable to this ViewScript but am not sure how this could be done. Since the partial renders out as a Zend_View (allowing $this-app_store_icon for rendering), it seems like there should be a way to pass variables to be rendered.   I am trying to pass an href id to load() in JQuery, I can see from the alert the returned id# 960, so I know the id value is getting past I just don't know how to append the load url, well the $("#refreshme_"+add_id) is the important part, I use that to refresh the unique div id in the page assigned by the database pull, so it would be looking for id="refreshme_960". My simple example that is obviously not working. I want to refresh the db select part of the page showing the new list of cars.   I am working on a c/Linux app for a device. I consume a web service (in WCF/c#) and use gSOAP for the same. The issue is that the parameters in the service methods become pointers for simple data types like int, short etc also. I initially used the same service exposed as ASMX web service and the client proxy generated using gSOAP created methods with parameters passed as values. But once the service has been upgraded to WCF, all the parameters became pointers. Can somebody help?

  Hello, I'm trying to pass the user on to the interface based on their cell selection in the UITableView, ie, if the user selects cell 1, they are taken to view model 2, containing UIWebView. UIWebView then displays local file, cell1.html. Currently, I've manage to get placeholder using: selectedCellText.text = selectedCell; to display the name of the cell selected.   I'd like to write a service that periodically checks a POP3 account for new messages and based on custom business logic forwards the messages to an appropriate "To", and possibly changes the "From" as well. I might need to keep some messages on the server until certain conditions are ready for them to be forwarded. I found a sample using Chilkat .NET components that might work: http://www.example-code.com/csharp/pop3_forwarder.asp My question is: Are there any other examples of this in the .NET space using any other components? Also, I'm having to pass lots of arguments to functions now. global in procedural code look like this / self in modular code. Any difference? Will I really have to convert from procedural to modular too? It's looking like a lot of work ahead.

  I've been creating a V3 Google map based on this example from Mike Williams http://www.geocodezip.com/v3_MW_example_map3.html I've run into a bit of a problem though. If I have no parameters in my URL then I get the error "id is undefined idmarkers [id.toLowerCase()] = marker;" in Firebug and only one marker will show up. If I have a parameter (?id=105 for example) then all the sidebar links say 105 (or whatever the parameter in the URL was) instead of their respective label as listed in the XML file and a random infowindow will be opened instead of the window for the id in the URL.
