  • Tracking upstream svn changes with git-svn and github?

    How do I track upstream SVN changes using git-svn and github? I used git-svn to convert an SVN repo to git on github: $ git svn clone -s http://svn.osqa.net/svnroot/osqa/ osqa $ cd osqa $ git remote add origin [email protected]:turian/osqa.git $ git push origin master I then made a few changes in my git repo, committed, and pushed to github. Now, I am on a new machine. I want to take upstream SVN changes, merge them with my github repo, and push them to my github repo. This documentation says: "If you ever lose your local copy, just run the import again with the same settings, and you’ll get another working directory with all the necessary SVN metainfo." So I did the following. But none of the commands work as desired. How do I track upstream SVN changes using git-svn and github? If our users were to use Java 6, they have no problems! Just 7 (update 4). We sign ALL our jars, both the main application jar and it's library jars. i.e Users launching our webstart app see the blue shield instead of yellow or red. This is obviously an issue as users are more frequently now upgrading to Java 7. I have tried to force our app to use Java 6 on the user machine either by using a previous installation(works), or installing a new one....with the j2se version="1.6" tag around resources but this causes it's own problems that would probably be best to make into it's own thread (the auto-jre-installation part). Did Oracle break Webstart security with Java 7u4? How do I solve this securityexception issue?

    I've got a website that is running WordPress. It has several pictures that I am retrieving from a datafeed. The images from the datafeed are at locations like: http://image4.example.com/640/examples/example.jpg http://image4.example.com/640/example.jpg The image4 and 640 locations can change. I want to rewrite the images to where they show as from my website. I've tried: rewritecond %{HTTP_HOST} !^image4.example.com$ rewriterule ^([^/]+)$ http://image4.mywebsite.com/$1 [L,R=301] but it doesn't work. I don't know much about Mod Rewrite. any help would be appreciated, and no I'm not hijacking the images, i have permission to use them and the bandwidth. Thanks -Brad

  • Redirect url to # (anchor)

    I have a site that I just converted to use anchor navigation.. hwww.site.com/shows is now www.site.com/#shows It loads the info from the /shows directory to a div and adds the hash tag to tell you where you are. The problem is, if you go to www.site.com/shows, the content is still there, but unstyled. How can I get it to redirect without going into an infinite loop of redirects? I'm sure I explained that terribly, hopefully you guys get it.

I have following paths references to my js and css files. <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="css/styles.css" /> <script type="text/javascript" src="js/jquery.js"></script> the above code is working fine on my local machine. the JS file is not loading when i host the website into production server. Problem in my hosting server is my website is ponted to www.somewebsitename.com instead www.somewebsitename.com/home.aspx . When I load the page with www.somewebsitename.com/home.aspx this url it is loading all the js files it is not loading files only when I load the page with www.somewebsitename.com. Please solve my problem. How to reference JS files so that they ll loaded how ever u visit the page.

    I have setup Riak on a Ubuntu machine, and it seam to work if I do riak ping. Now I would like to use the Riak Java client to store an object, but it doesn't work.   • Wordpress Rewrite Redirect Failure

    I'm helping a friend recover from the mess outsourcing a wordpress website caused him (mistake #1) and I have this weird error. The hosting he is using appears to be redirecting www.domain.com to domain.com (NFI why) automatically which works fine in every browser except IE (i know right!). So adding the first redirect fixed that, until I added the permalink redirect. Now when IE goes to an old wordpress link like http://www.domain.com/?p=520 the redirect fails. RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / # Rewrite rule for wierd redirect issue RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.domain.com$ RewriteRule ^/?(.*)$ "http\:\/\/doman\.com\/$1" [R=301,L] # Rewrite Rule for Wordress Permalinks RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule . /index.php [L] I tested this out with wget and it complains: ERROR: Redirection (301) without location. So it seems likely that IE is suffering from the same error (without the helpful error message). But I haven't a clue how to fix it. I am hoping that he will switch hosting companies but we will see. In the meantime any ideas?

I dont understand how it works:http://code.google.com/apis/accounts/docs/OpenID.html#Samples If i do that 2nd request by entering the data as one url with params into browser i get back XML file. Should i not get back sample response nr3? Can somebody explain this to me? The problem is, that im trying to sort through some third party app that uses google openid authentication and its not recieving authenticated users e-mail back, like in sample response 3.     I'm using PHP to redirect a page back to the previous page with the following: header("Location: {$_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER']}"); This set of pages will only be used by internal users, so I'm not terribly concerned about the fact that the referer will not always be available. The problem I'm running in to is that if the referer looks like http://subdomain.domain.com/test.php?id=13, the redirect ends up going to http://subdomain.domain.com/.domain.com/test.php?id=13. Notice the additional .domain.com/ in the url. I've tested by hardcoding the value, and it causes the problem as well. phpMyAdmin seems to suffer the same issue, but only on this particular server. If this is not an SO question, please move accordingly.

BulkInsert and BulkCopy. the second one uses linq to sql and OpenXML. This sort of appeals to me as I am using linq to sql already and prefer it over ado.net. However as one person pointed out in the posts what he just going around the issue at the cost of performance( nothing wrong with that in my opinion) First I will talk about the 2 ways in the first tutorial I am using VS2010 Express, .net 4.0, MVC 2.0, SQl Server 2005 Is ado.net 2.0 the most current version? Based on the technology I am using, is there some updates to what I am going to show that would improve it somehow? Is there any thing that these tutorial left out that I should know about? I found that with BatchCopy and 500,000 batch size it took only 5 seconds to complete. I then tried with a batch size of 1,000 and it only took 8 seconds. I don't get how the SP works. Like I don't get the whole thing. I don't know if OPENXML has some batch insert under the hood but I do not even know how to take this example SP and change it to fit my tables since like I said I don't know what is going on. I also don't know what would happen if the object you have more tables in it. Like say I have a ProductName table what has a relationship to a Product table or something like that. In linq to sql you could get the product name object and make changes to the Product table in that same object. So I am not sure how to take that into account. I am not sure if I would have to do separate inserts or what. So I really narrowed it done to the linq to sql bulk insert way or bulk copy. I am just not sure how to do it when you have relationship for either way. I am not sure how they both stand up when doing updates instead of inserts as I have not gotten around to try it yet. I don't think I will ever need to insert/update more than 50,000 records at one type but at the same time I know I will have to do validation on records before inserting so that will slow it down and that sort of makes linq to sql nicer as your got objects especially if your first parsing data from a xml file before you insert into the database.   • Problem With HTML5 Application Cache Whitelist - Won't Ignore Items

    I'm trying to use HTML5 Application Cache to speed some things up on an iPhone webapp. It works great for storing images, css and JS, but the problem is that it also tries to store the HTML. I haven't been able to get it to ignore the html and stop storing it in the cache. From what I've read, I have to "whitelist" the files and directories that I want to load no matter what. I've tried listing the files I want cached explicitly, and I've tried adding a series of things under the "NETWORK:" heading. I've tried * / /* http://mysite.com http://mysite.com/ http://mysite.com/* None of them seem to work. Is there any way to ignore HTML files by MIME-Type or anything? Any advice would be appreciated. Ryan P.S. Of course, my site is not mysite.com..I just used that for simplicity.
