  Quick version: New computer, attached to Windows domain, with SteadyState w/ Disk Protection turned on, cannot log on as domain user because Windows states 'system security log is full' Troubleshooting performed: disabled all 'restrictions' listed in SteadyState, cleared system security log, changed security log settings to overwrite entries when it becomes full, restarted computer to commit changes, verified changes were commited - still cannot log on as domain user, changed Documents and Settings folder to another partition, still cannot log on as domain user Let me know if you need a more detailed description of any steps performed.   For the life of me, I can't install the JDK on Windows Vista. I keep getting the error, "This Software Has Already Been Installed on Your Computer. Would you like to reinstall it?" Problem is, it's evidently not on my computer, since I can't a) run Eclipse - I get "Could Not Find Java SE Runtime Environment" or b) Find any reference to Java from the command line when typing java -version - I get "Error opening registry key 'Registry/JavaSoft/Java Runtime Environment." • Linux flash player settings dialog unclickable

  I'm using Slackware 13. When a flash app pops up the allow/deny dialog, I'm stuck because the buttons are unclickable. My adobe flash player version is 10,0,42,34. How can I fix this problem? Edit: I'm using fluxbox. I'm using an acer notebook with a synaptics touchpad... both the touchpad and the mouse can't interact with the dialog.

• Uninstall Adobe Flash C4 from mac

  I've installed a trial of Adobe Flash CS4 (i didn't use this trial till the end) and wrongly entered the expired license number. I ran uninstall and tried to install a trial version again. Seems, that it keeps somewhere the wrong serial number and each time i run the Flash application it alerts me, that the license has expired. How do i properly install the trial? Why does DIG hang and not timeout after 10 seconds when executing the following: dig +tries=1 +tries=1 +retry=1 +time=5 +trace google.us.com DIG hangs for about 30 seconds instead of timing out and then dies with the following error message: dig: couldn't get address for 'ns.reserved-domain.uk.com': no more Do I need to set another flag/option for DIG to have it timeout instead of hanging, or is this a bug?   I'm sorry if this sounds like a silly question, but when I compile something on linux using the usual "./configure, make, make install" steps, how can I install the programs on other servers without having to recompile? I am trying to avoid having to install the build tools on production servers, however I need the latest version of a particular piece of software, so using RPMs isn't an option in this case. XBBrowser provides a button, flush tor circuit, which will setup an entirely new connection and exit node. I am wondering how to do the equivalent thing on Linux.   Hi, since Teamspeak version 3 sends lots of packets per user and our provider is getting problems with his infrastructure above 20.000 packets per second we have to limit it that our servers are not going to be shut down. Red a lot about iptables but was not able to find the right rules. Could you give me an advise how to manage that the server is not going to send more than 19k packets per seconds? We decided that freezing around ??:25 isn't a hardware fault, and decided to reinstall the OS. Later, 31 august, our admin backed up all files, reinstalled Debian, and restored the backup. But then, 7 september, server went down again, at 5:05. We thought it was related to Anyone else experiencing high rates of Linux server crashes during a leap second day? and turned ntp off. But then the server went down twice again, 21 september, 17:29 and 24 september, 20:27. I called all linux admins I knew to help with solving it and they said everything is fine about configuring OS and it could be hardware only. But they dont know why it always freezes at XX:25-30. Maybe some of you know about something related to that?

• Why is android:FLAG_BLUR_BEHIND creating a gradient background in my new activity instead of bluring

  Hi, I've got two activities. One is supposed to be a blur in front of the other. The background activity has several ImageViews which are set up as thin gradients extending across most of the screen and 10dip high. When I start the second activity it sets the background as a gradient occupying the entire window space, that is it appears to be fill_parent'd for both height and width. If I comment out the ImageViews then it blurs and looks as expected. Any thoughts?   We are in the middle of a system recovery process and have the option of either restoring Exchange 2007 to our server or install Exchange 2010 as a new version. The question is: would we be able to restore the backup we made of the Exchange 2007 mailboxes to the new Exchange 2010 server? Would save us an upgrade later on. Please let me know what you think.   My Toughbook (CF-19) has a 'Windows Vista Business OEMAct, Panasonic' COA on the bottom of the unit. When I extracted the key before reformatting - it was a 'Windows XP Professional' Product Name and the Product ID code has 'OEM' in it...and I can confirm this upgrade was last OS installed (w/ Service Pack 3) - but there was the tablet functionality. This extracted product key isn't working with any version of Windows I try installing. XP Pro, XP Pro Tablet 2005 OEM, Tablet XP OEM. Any insights?

  I'm trying to get connected to another ASA via Cisco VPN Client. I am behind an ASA 5505 myself and I am tryihng to VPN to a 5510. I get the message: Secure VPN Connection terminated locally by the Client. Reason 412: The remote peer is no longer responding. I can connect to the other ASA if I use a normal cheap Linksys.
