  In my deployment on JBoss 5.1.0GA with JavaEE-5 I have beans of the general form public interface Foo { void baz (); } @Stateless public class FooBean implements Foo { void baz() { // ... } } I have assumed that this is the same as if I have explicitly annotated the Foo interface with @Local. From seeing a stack trace in the code I think that it is actually using a remote interface, whereas I want all of my beans to be local. Do I need to explicitly annotate interfaces as Local or is there some default? Finding documentation on this is proving challenging so any links to relevant documentation would be greatly appreciated.

When I try and do this now, I end up with an error saying: Type 'IValidator' does not have a public property named 'FancyValidator' What do I need to do to make this work? Thanks!

  Say, for example, I've got this simple class: public class MyClass { public String MyProperty { get; set; } } The way to get the PropertyInfo for MyProperty would be: typeof(MyClass).GetProperty("MyProperty"); This sucks! Why? Easy: it will break as soon as I change the Name of the Property, it needs a lot of dedicated tests to find every location where a property is used like this, refactoring and usage trees are unable to find these kinds of access. Ain't there any way to properly access a property? Something, that is validated on compile time? I'd love a command like this: propertyof(MyClass.MyProperty);

  This is my first ever trial at implementing the BST, and I am unable to get it done. Please help The problem is that When I delete the node if the node is in the right subtree from the root or if its a right child in the left subtree, then it works fine. But if the node is in the left subtree from root and its any left child, then it does not get deleted. Can someone show me what mistake am I doing?? the markedNode here gets allocated to the parent node of the node to be deleted. the minValueNode here gets allocated to a node whose left value child is the smallest value and it will be used to replace the value to be deleted. package DataStructures;   I have "tasks" table with 3 fields: date priority (0,1,2) done (0,1) What I am trying to achieve is with the whole table sorted by done flag, tasks that are not done should be sorted by priority, while tasks that are done should be sorted by date: Select * from tasks order by done asc If done=0 additionally order by priority desc If done=1 additionally order by date desc Is it possible to do this in MySQL without unions?   From programming pearls, it is known that array[1...n] has heap property if for all 2<=i<=n x[i/2]<=x[i]. When I compile this code it shows me at last line that it is not heap. Maybe because the index starts from 1 and we don't pay attention to index 0, yes?

  I have defined a DirectoryListModel class that extends the AbstractListModel class from the Java Api. Internally, I have a list of File objects. I have defined the getElementAt(int index) method as: @Override public Object getElementAt(int index) { return directoryElements.get(index) } The problem is that when I try to run my JList with my DirectoryListModel, it is going to show up the full paths of files instead of just the filenames. I could change this code to: @Override public Object getElementAt(int index) { return directoryElements.get(index).getName(); } and it'd work wonders, but the problem is that in the onclick event I'll want to have the File objects so I can do some checking with them (check if they're directories, etc). If I make getElementAt() return a String, I'm losing that possibility, thus I'd like to konw if there is a way I can format my File objects before the JList shows them in my window. Thanks
