• jQuery: move window viewport to show freshly toggled element

  I have a simple bit of jQuery in doc ready which toggles a div containing a textarea: $('div#addnote-area').hide(); // hide the div $('a#addnote-link').click(function() { // click event listener on link $('div#addnote-area').toggle(); // toggle the hidden div }); The toggle works fine when clicking the link. The problem I'm having is that if div#addnote-area is below the browser's current viewport, it remains there when it's shown. • How to override browser default download behavior for files?

  Lots of times we have to download files from the net. In IE we get to see the ugly download progress bar. In firefox we get to see a pop-up window opening etc. However, I have never seen this being over ridden in any manner. Until recently on the site *thesixtyone DOT com* If we get to download a song free and click on the ok link to start the download we get a pop up to select location in the default style of windows.   In my thesis I need to test different architectures. A request to a REST web service developed using Apache CXF and Spring MVC with MySQL as back end serving references(a field in database) to images,audio and video files stored in file system. In the response message, what is the best method to send the content to the client(another application using the service which I developed). URI: http://www.filmservices.com/film/{id} A client here is not the end user. Send the encoded hyperlink's(where the content is stored in the file system) to the client, so that the client renders the response and displays it to the browser. Use Base64 to encode the message(image,audio,video) and send it to the client. Main concern is performance.

  I want to make some changes in the following piece of code. And when you click on any thumbe, it disappears the thumbs and shows the updated votes. I want to make changes that in begining it shows vote up and vote down separately (which are stored in database separately). and after thumb up or down is pressed, it should not remove the thumbs, but it should show the updated vote up and down separatetly. • Qt: Dragging a widget to scroll the widget's parent QScrollArea?

  I've got a long horizontal QLabel displaying a png (the image shows a signal/time graph). Under that, I've got a QTableWidget. Both of these are in a QScrollArea because I want them to stay vertically aligned (the cells in the table correspond with the signal seen directly above them). I'm trying to add a handler to the QLabel such that the user can use the picture itself to scroll the scrollarea, rather than having to use the scrollbar. Is there a tried-and-tested way to do this? Directly setting the scrollarea's sliderPosition inside the QLabel's dragMoveEvent doesn't seem smart, because when the scrollarea scrolls it also leads to another dragMoveEvent on the (moving) QLabel.

  I would like to create a page where all images which reside on my website are listed with title and alternative representation. I already wrote me a little program to find and load all html files, but now I am stuck at how to extract src, title and alt from the html < img src="/image/fluffybunny.jpg" title="Harvey the bunny" alt="a cute little fluffy bunny"/ I guess this should be done with some regex, but since the order of the tags may vary, and I need all of them, I don't really know how to parse this in an elegant way (I could do it the hard char by char way, but thats painful).

  This is my script - it simply looks for the image file associated to a person record. Now the error will display if there is NO .jpg evident when the query runs. Msg 4860, Level 16, State 1, Line 1 Cannot bulk load. The file "C:\Dev\ClientServices\Defence\RAN\Shore\Config\Photos\002054.2009469432270600.001.jpg" does not exist. • Using the filename for GET data and making the PHP page output as a JPG extension?

  Alright, currently I'm using GD to create a PNG image that logs a few different things, depending on the GET data, for example: http://example.com/file.php?do=this will log one thing while http://example.com/file.php?do=that will log another thing. However, I'd like to do it without GET data, so instead http://example.com/dothis.php will log one thing, and http://example.com/dothat.php will log the other. But on top of that, I'd also like to make it accessible via the JPG file extension. I've seen this done but I can't figure out how. So that way http://example.com/dothis.JPG will log one thing, while http://example.com/dothat.JPG logs the other. The logging part is simple, of course. I simple need to know how to use filenames in place of the GET data and how to set the php file to be accessible via a jpg file extension.

• Update Multiple Tables at a Time - SQL Server/T-SQL

  I have two tables, Customer and CustomerPhone. Single record in Customer can have multiple CustomerPhone records. As you see in the image below, Phone and Fax resides in CustomerPhone table whereas the rest of the fields resides in Customer table. If user want to edits a customer record, obviously i will have to update the record in Customer table and at least two records from CustomerPhone (Phone and Fax). I could write two update statements, one Update customerPhone and the second update Customer table. Is there a better solution?

  Hi all! I've search for some clues on this problem without much success. Hope someone can kick me in the right direction. I am prototyping a couple of apps where I need to design my own GUI. The GUI is made up by two separated UIViews where one of them contains a small thumb of an image. I want to be able to drag this thumb from the first view to the other. Simple as that! But I haven't figured out how this is done. Here is the exact flow I am looking for: touch the thumb animate a small enlargement of the thumb drag the thumb to the other UIView drop the thumb animate a shrink of the thumb Not particularly strange, but the thumb remains related to the first view all the time. I've tried to move the thumb via the first views superview and then back to the second view, but with no luck.

• Does anyone know of a good free bulk upload tool for web apps?

I'd like to implement a system where they could potentially drag and drop files into the browser, or select a folder to upload. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!   I have multiple panels on a JFrame window. I am going to populate each panel differently every time. For example: i start the GUI: (image center panel, right panel, bottom panel). Center panel is populated with 20 buttons, right panel with 10 buttons and bottom panel with 3. second start of the GUI (same gui). Center panel has 50 buttons, right panel has 12 buttons, bottom has 3. So everytime there is a random number of buttons, impossible to be all uniquely named. Given the fact that I don't have a unique name for each button (just a list) I would like to know which buttons were clicked according to the panel they belong to. is that possible?

I am using WinBinder to develop some desktop applications for Windows with php. The minimal php 5.1 pack has the winbinder extension only. • jQuery: selecting by class after class change by .addClass() or .attr()

  I have some jQuery code something like this: $(document).ready(function() { $("img.off").click(function() { alert('on'); $(this).attr('class', 'on'); }); $("img.on").click(function() { alert('off'); $(this).attr('class', 'off'); }); }); The selector works fine for images that have the class name defined in the original HTML document, however after manipulating the class name with jQuery, the img item will not respond to selectors using it's new class. In other words, running the above code, if you click an 'off' img, it will trigger the first function, and change the class to 'on'. However, clicking this image again does not trigger the second function (as I would have expected), but rather triggers the first again. It's as if the selector is reading the old DOM rather than the updated version. What am I doing wrong here? Firefox 3.6.3 - jQuery 1.4.2

And as I monitor the memory with the Allocation Instrument memory usage is increasing. I cannot find where the leak is coming from and how to remove it. Thanks!

• Python win32api not moving mouse cursor in VirtualBox

  I'm trying to use this Python code: import math for i in xrange(500): x = 500 + math.sin(math.pi * i / 100) * 500 y = 500 + math.cos(i) * 100 x, y = int(x), int(y) win32api.SetCursorPos((x, y)) time.sleep(.01) taken from here to move the mouse cursor in an XP VirtualBox. The mouse icon will flicker to the appropriate graphic (when it hits the edge of a window it turns into the <- resize image, for instance), but it doesn't actually move the visible cursor. I can move the mouse around while the code is running. Same result using the ctypes example in the above link. It works fine in the Win7 host. I have Guest Additions installed, if that matters.

  The problem is straight forward: 1) We have a photon traveling from Point 1 (x,y,z) to Point 2 (x,y,z), both of which could be located anywhere in 3D space. 2) We have a polygon that is both rotated randomly on the x-axis and/or y-axis and also located anywhere in 3D space. 3) We want to find: a) if the photon will collide with the polygon at all and b) if it does where will that be (x,y,z)? • Drupal 6 hook_form_FORM_ID_alter adding upload file field

  I'm trying to extend a form and add an upload file field from within a module, I can see the file field just fine, but it's empty when I submit the form, the enctype is set. $form['#attributes'] = array( 'enctype' => "multipart/form-data" ); $form['file_upload'] = array( '#type' => 'file', '#title' => 'Attach Image' ); custom form submit hook: $form['#submit'][] = 'user_images_handler'; is being called, but when I dump the form, the file field is empty, and when I try to access it, it's empty as well.
