What is the standard format for datetime with timezone in a C# ASP.NET application?
Updated to clarify: In ASP.NET I need to check a datetime from a Domino database against a .NET DateTime. The client is asking what would be the best format in which he should provide the datetime with the timezone. Meaning which format is most easily readable by .NET?
I'd like my application to query a csv file from a secure website. I have no experience with web programming so I'd appreciate detailed instructions. Currently I have the user login to the site, manually query the csv, and have my application load the file locally. I'd like to automate this by having the user enter his login information, authenticating him on the website, and querying the data. The application is written in C# .NET. The url of the site is: https://www2.emidas.com/default.asp.
I've tested the following code already and am able to access the file once the user has already authenticated himself and created a manual query.
System.Net.WebClient Client = new WebClient();
Stream strm = Client.OpenRead("https://www3.emidas.com/users/<username>/file.csv");
Here is the request sent to the site for authentication. I've angle bracketed the real userid and password.

I'd like to script p4 a little. Unfortunately, some of the filenames that we're tracking have "@" in the filename.
The filenames are in the form [email protected]. If I try to do something like p4 sync a\@b.xml on a mac (or p4 sync [email protected] on windows) it gives the error:
Invalid changelist/client/label/date '@b.xml'
Is there another way to escape it that perforce will recognize?
I'm building an e-commerce website in ASP.Net/C# and I'm having some difficulties with my shopping cart...
I want my costumers to be able to say "I want X boxes, and each box carries Y items".
Let's say, for instance, my website sells flowers. A client logs in and then chooses X bouquets and then for each bouquet he adds flowers from the catalog.
Can you point me out some links or tips in order to achieve this behaviour?
Thanks
I'm building a service in Delphi that is intended to run on Windows XP-7 and as part of it, I need to get a handle for the service to use for some windows messages to pass between it and a client app. Using the ServiceThread.Handle doesn't work, so I need to get the handle in another way. Can anyone tell me how to get a usable handle for passing Windows messages around? thanks.
I have a small rails app that has default scaffold generated routes eg. /stadia/1.xml. However I have to support legacy client app that can't construct such URLs correctly. What I need to do is to map URL in the form:
/stadia?id=1?format=xml to /stadia/1.xml
Or even something like:
/myApp?model=<model_name>?id=<id>?format=xml to /<model_name/<id>.xml
Is it possible to craft appropriate route in Rails?
Hi

I have added the site as trusted site in the IE and made all the security settings needed.

Thanking you.
My client has a busy traffic site with a big amount of pages, ASP.NET's built-in cache solutions is good, but it only stores content into the memory. Since the site has a big amount of pages, so I think disk caching would be a better idea. But after searching I didn't find a solution, any suggestions?

hi, i am creating ( researching possibility of ) a highly customizable python client and would like to allow users to actually edit the code in another language to customize the running of program. ( analogous to browser which itself coded in c/c++ and run another language html/js ). so my question is , is there any programming language implemented in pure python which i can see as a reference ( or use directly ? ) -- i need simple language ( simple statements and ifs can do )
Hi in Flex one can easily define the remote class alias like the following:
package samples.portfolio
{
[RemoteClass(alias="flex.samples.marketdata.Stock")]
[Bindable]
public class Stock
{
public var symbol:String;
public var name:String;
public var low:Number;
}
}
But my question is how do you do it in AIR since
the client app does not know about the server
file structure.
Regards,
I was asked by a client to create a bookflip (Page Turn) effect that did not require Flash. The imBookFlip plugin can load a book in an iframe or directly on the page. The book's pages can be set to turn when manually clicked only, begin auto flip (turn automatically) as soon as the html page loads, or begin auto flip when first page (front cover is clicked).
I have a bunch of model objects.
These objects end up being rendered as views (say forms) in a rich client app.
I started to annotate the fields in the model objects (Java annotations) with things that let me render them as forms on the fly (e.g displayname, group, page, validvalues).
I now realise that the view has crept into the model.
How should I seperate the view logic out of the model objects?

Sometimes I'd like to take a peek into the implementation of the JRE classes, which is used to generate the JavaScript code.
For some classes, I can find a corresponding implementation by guessing its name, e.g. com.google.gwt.core.client.impl.StringBuilderImpl. But where's the implementation for java.util.Date for example? Where do I find it, and how does GWT find it (via some configuration file?)
Im trying to make a script that can generate a kind of chat client in cygwin on windows but i dont have a clue how to start, i saw something like gtk+ but how do i get that inside of cygwin, and what have i to do after that?
I get this exception when I want to open a keystore
java.io.FileNotFoundException: \resources\keystore (The system cannot find the path specified)
Basically my application is like
src/
client.java
server.java
resources/
keystore
truststore
And the faulty code :
System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.keyStore","/resources/keystore");
System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.keyStorePassword", "ebanking");
I also tried ./resources/keystore, resources/keystore, \\resources\\keystore etc..
My application is supposed to work in an executable jar so no absolute path technique please.
I'm building a webpage that is composed of several controls, and trying to come up with an effective somewhat generic client side sibling control communication model. One of the controls is the menu control. Whenever an item is clicked in here I wanted to expose a custom client side event that other controls can subscribe to, so that I can achieve a loosely coupled sibling control communication model.
To that end I've created a simple Javascript event collection class (code below) that acts as like a hub for control event registration and event subscription. This code certainly gets the job done, but my question is is there a better more elegant way to do this in terms of best practices or tools, or is this just a fools errand?
/// Event collection object - acts as the hub for control communication.
function ClientEventCollection()
{
this.ClientEvents = {};
this.RegisterEvent = _RegisterEvent;
this.AttachToEvent = _AttachToEvent;
this.FireEvent = _FireEvent;
function _RegisterEvent(eventKey)
{
if (!this.ClientEvents[eventKey])
this.ClientEvents[eventKey] = [];
}
function _AttachToEvent(eventKey, handlerFunc)
{
if (this.ClientEvents[eventKey])
this.ClientEvents[eventKey][this.ClientEvents[eventKey].length] = handlerFunc;
}
function _FireEvent(eventKey, triggerId, contextData )
{
if (this.ClientEvents[eventKey])
{
for (var i = 0; i < this.ClientEvents[eventKey].length; i++)
{
var fn = this.ClientEvents[eventKey][i];
if (fn)
fn(triggerId, contextData);
}
}
}
}
// load new collection instance.
var myClientEvents = new bsdClientEventCollection();
// register events specific to the control that owns it, this will be emitted by each respective control.
myClientEvents.RegisterEvent("menu-item-clicked");
Here is the part where this code above is consumed by source and subscriber controls.
// menu control
$(document).ready(function()
{
$(".menu > a").click( function(event)
{
//event.preventDefault();
myClientEvents.FireEvent("menu-item-clicked", $(this).attr("id"), null);
});
});
<div style="float: left;" class="menu">
<a id="1" href="#">Menu Item1</a><br />
<a id="2" href="#">Menu Item2</a><br />
<a id="3" href="#">Menu Item3</a><br />
<a id="4" href="#">Menu Item4</a><br />
</div>
// event subscriber control
$(document).ready(function()
{
myClientEvents.AttachToEvent("menu-item-clicked", menuItemChanged);
myClientEvents.AttachToEvent("menu-item-clicked", menuItemChanged2);
myClientEvents.AttachToEvent("menu-item-clicked", menuItemChanged3);
});
function menuItemChanged(id, contextData)
{
alert('menuItemChanged ' + id);
}
function menuItemChanged2(id, contextData)
{
alert('menuItemChanged2 ' + id);
}
function menuItemChanged3(id, contextData)
{
alert('menuItemChanged3 ' + id);
}
I'm trying to open names.nsf in code. The piece of code has been working for a while but suddenly, I'm getting null. Any idea why? I don't seem to be getting any errors and I don't know how to work out what's wrong.
I can open the database from the Notes client on the same machine.
Hey,
just checked my Apache logs and stumbled upon this log:
Client denied by server configuration. What I found weird, are the different phpMyAdmin versions.
The IP is in Czech: http://whois.domaintools.com/188.120.221.206
Am I just too overcautious?
