I'm writing a macro, but because I'm working for first time in vb, I faced problems.
My code:
Cells (1, 1).Select
Dim tempvar As Integer
tempvar = Val(Selection.Value) // error
Selection.Value = tempvar + 1
What my code should be:
Cells(1,1).Value+=1
I get error "type mismatch". How do I accomplish that?

When I enter in python in Terminal it loads up Python 2.6.2. However there are folders by the name of Python 2.6 in different places on my drive. I'm not sure if that's because Python 2.6 has been installed in different places or because Python just likes to have lots of folers in different places.
If there are multiple installations, I could really do with being able to set which one should be used.
I have a parameters array:
$params[1] = 'param1';
$params[2] = 'param2';
$params[3] = 'param3';
...
$params[N] = 'paramN';
I have a caller to various functions:
$method->$function( $params );
How can I parse the $params array, so multiple (and unlimited) parameters can be passed to any function:
$method->$function( $param[1], $param[2], ..., $param[N] );
I'm running two cron jobs:
This one executes without a problem:
curl -sS http://example.com/cronjob.php?days=1
But this doesn't run at all:
curl -sS http://example.com/cronjob.php?days=1&month=1
Is this because of the ampersand (&)? If yes, how to pass multiple parameters?
Using argv is not an option.
What I need is a collection which allows multiple keys to access a single object.
I need to apply frequent alterations to this object.
It also must be efficient for 500k+ entries.

While Authenticating users from Active Directory Am getting the following Error.

Verify that you have permission to view this directory or page based on the credentials you supplied and the authentication methods enabled on the Web server. Contact the Web server's administrator for additional assistance.
Based on a college-project I'm trying to realize a relatively simple game (Poker) where an iPad acts as Server and multiple iPod-Touchs connect to it as Clients.
Gamekit seems to drop out, since those old ipod-touch-devices don't have bluetooth-support.
Are there already some Frameworks out there simplifying the process, or do I have to fall back on TCP-Streaming-Sockets and implement it myself?
VB 6.0 does not have any global handler.To catch runtime errors,we need to add a handler in each method where we feel an error can occur.But, still some places might be left out.So,we end up getting runtime errors.Adding error handler in all the methods of an application,the only way?
An insert statement with a large number of values returns 'Error converting data type varchar to numeric.'
How can I find which value actually triggers the error?
MS SQL Server 2008 is used.
I have a large codebase that I've been tasked with porting to 64 bits. The code compiles, but it prints a very large amount of incompatible pointer warnings (as is to be expected.) Is there any way I can have gcc print the line on which the error occurs? At this point I'm just using gcc's error messages to try to track down assumptions that need to be modified, and having to look up every one is not fun.
Hey, I'm wondering if there is any best practice for maintaining your source code under version control among different companies. In Open Source there is a maintainer, who receives patches, decides on them and applies them. But what about closed sourced projects where different companies get different workloads and just commit them to the trunk and branches? Is this maintainer concept applicable to a project on which multiple companies work on?
I am writing a custom error handling/reporting function for php file upload and I noticed that the error codes returned is one of numbers 0 to 8 except 5.
Is this a typo in the source I am using or is it really this way? And if it is so, I am curious why they have skipped number '5'.
Thanks.
I have a script that calls the rand function:
<?php
echo rand(0, 9);
?>
If I run this script multiple times, will I get different numbers out, or will it always be the same? In other words, does PHP seed rand automatically?
I want to play multiple songs with single object of AVAudioplayer, I put songs List in scrollview, when user tap on list player view is open but when user go back for other song player play both songs simanteniosly . what I Can do to fix this?
I was wondering if it was safe to make GL calls with multiple threads. Basically I'm using a GLUtesselator and was wondering if I could divide the objects to draw into 4 and assign a thread to each one.
I'm just wondering if this would cause trouble since the tesselator uses callback functions. Can 2 threads run the same callback at the same time as long as that callback does not access ant global variables?
Are there also other ways I could optimize OpenGL drawing using multithreading?
Thanks
Hi all,
I'm about to start a desktop program that I want to add support for as many languages as I can. I'm going to be using C# and at least .Net 2.0. Is there a recommended way for adding support for multiple languages in the GUI and error messages?
Many thanks
Hi,
I have a PHP script that runs database queries. Now, if a query fails, should I trigger an error or throw an exception? I noticed that if I do the latter, the script execution will stop after facing the exception.
My code is as follows:
if (!$this->connection[0]->query($this->query))
throw new Exception($this->connection[0]->error);
What are the pros and cons of using exceptions for this kind of cases (failed queries)?
