  • Problem with building tree bottom up

    - by Esmond
    Hi, I have problems building a binary tree from the bottom up. THe input of the tree would be internal nodes of the trees with the children of this node being the leaves of the eventual tree. So initially if the tree is empty the root would be the first internal node. Afterwards, The next internal node to be added would be the new root(NR), with the old root(OR) being one of the child of NR. And so on. The problem i have is that whenever i add a NR, the children of the OR seems to be lost when i do a inOrder traversal. This is proven to be the case when i do a getSize() call which returns the same number of nodes before and after addNode(Tree,Node) Any help with resolving this problem is appreciated edited with the inclusion of node class code. both tree and node classes have the addChild methods because i'm not very sure where to put them for it to be appropriated. any comments on this would be appreciated too. The code is as follows: import java.util.*; public class Tree { Node root; int size; public Tree() { root = null; } public Tree(Node root) { this.root = root; } public static void setChild(Node parent, Node child, double weight) throws ItemNotFoundException { if (parent.child1 != null && parent.child2 != null) { throw new ItemNotFoundException("This Node already has 2 children"); } else if (parent.child1 != null) { parent.child2 = child; child.parent = parent; parent.c2Weight = weight; } else { parent.child1 = child; child.parent = parent; parent.c1Weight = weight; } } public static void setChild1(Node parent, Node child) { parent.child1 = child; child.parent = parent; } public static void setChild2(Node parent, Node child) { parent.child2 = child; child.parent = parent; } public static Tree addNode(Tree tree, Node node) throws ItemNotFoundException { Tree tree1; if (tree.root == null) { tree.root = node; } else if (tree.root.getSeq().equals(node.getChild1().getSeq()) || tree.root.getSeq().equals(node.getChild2().getSeq())) { Node oldRoot = tree.root; oldRoot.setParent(node); tree.root = node; } else { //form a disjoint tree and merge the 2 trees tree1 = new Tree(node); tree = mergeTree(tree, tree1); } System.out.print("addNode2 = "); if(tree.root != null ) { Tree.inOrder(tree.root); } System.out.println(); return tree; } public static Tree mergeTree(Tree tree, Tree tree1) { String root = "root"; Node node = new Node(root); tree.root.setParent(node); tree1.root.setParent(node); tree.root = node; return tree; } public static int getSize(Node root) { if (root != null) { return 1 + getSize(root.child1) + getSize(root.child2); } else { return 0; } } public static boolean isEmpty(Tree Tree) { return Tree.root == null; } public static void inOrder(Node root) { if (root != null) { inOrder(root.child1); System.out.print(root.sequence + " "); inOrder(root.child2); } } } public class Node { Node child1; Node child2; Node parent; double c1Weight; double c2Weight; String sequence; boolean isInternal; public Node(String seq) { sequence = seq; child1 = null; c1Weight = 0; child2 = null; c2Weight = 0; parent = null; isInternal = false; } public boolean hasChild() { if (this.child1 == null && this.child2 == null) { this.isInternal = false; return isInternal; } else { this.isInternal = true; return isInternal; } } public String getSeq() throws ItemNotFoundException { if (this.sequence == null) { throw new ItemNotFoundException("No such node"); } else { return this.sequence; } } public void setChild(Node child, double weight) throws ItemNotFoundException { if (this.child1 != null && this.child2 != null) { throw new ItemNotFoundException("This Node already has 2 children"); } else if (this.child1 != null) { this.child2 = child; this.c2Weight = weight; } else { this.child1 = child; this.c1Weight = weight; } } public static void setChild1(Node parent, Node child) { parent.child1 = child; child.parent = parent; } public static void setChild2(Node parent, Node child) { parent.child2 = child; child.parent = parent; } public void setParent(Node parent){ this.parent = parent; } public Node getParent() throws ItemNotFoundException { if (this.parent == null) { throw new ItemNotFoundException("This Node has no parent"); } else { return this.parent; } } public Node getChild1() throws ItemNotFoundException { if (this.child1 == null) { throw new ItemNotFoundException("There is no child1"); } else { return this.child1; } } public Node getChild2() throws ItemNotFoundException { if (this.child2 == null) { throw new ItemNotFoundException("There is no child2"); } else { return this.child2; } } }

  • ForEach with EditorFor

    - by hermiod
    I have got an Entity model which contains a collection of Message objects which are of the type Message which has several properties, including content, MessageID, from, and to. I have created an EditorTemplate for type Message, however, I cannot get it to display the contents of the Messages collection. There are no errors, but nothing is output. Please note that the view code is from an EditorTemplate for the parent Talkback class. Can you have an EditorTemplate calling another EditorTemplate for a child collection? Both the Talkback and Message class are generated by Entity framework from an existing database. View code: <% foreach (TalkbackEntityTest.Message msg in Model.Messages) { Html.EditorFor(x=> msg, "Message"); } %> This is my template code. It is the standard auto-generated view code with some minor changes. <%@ Control Language="C#" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewUserControl<TalkbackEntityTest.Message>" %> <%: Html.ValidationSummary(true) %> <fieldset> <legend>Fields</legend> <div class="editor-label"> <%: Html.LabelFor(model => model.MessageID) %> </div> <div class="editor-field"> <%: Html.TextBoxFor(model => model.MessageID) %> <%: Html.ValidationMessageFor(model => model.MessageID) %> </div> <div class="editor-label"> <%: Html.LabelFor(model => model.acad_period) %> </div> <div class="editor-field"> <%: Html.TextBoxFor(model => model.acad_period) %> <%: Html.ValidationMessageFor(model => model.acad_period) %> </div> <div class="editor-label"> <%: Html.LabelFor(model => model.talkback_id) %> </div> <div class="editor-field"> <%: Html.TextBoxFor(model => model.talkback_id) %> <%: Html.ValidationMessageFor(model => model.talkback_id) %> </div> <div class="editor-label"> <%: Html.LabelFor(model => model.From) %> </div> <div class="editor-field"> <%: Html.TextBoxFor(model => model.From) %> <%: Html.ValidationMessageFor(model => model.From) %> </div> <div class="editor-label"> <%: Html.LabelFor(model => model.To) %> </div> <div class="editor-field"> <%: Html.TextBoxFor(model => model.To) %> <%: Html.ValidationMessageFor(model => model.To) %> </div> <div class="editor-label"> <%: Html.LabelFor(model => model.SentDatetime) %> </div> <div class="editor-field"> <%: Html.TextBoxFor(model => model.SentDatetime, String.Format("{0:g}", Model.SentDatetime)) %> <%: Html.ValidationMessageFor(model => model.SentDatetime) %> </div> <div class="editor-label"> <%: Html.LabelFor(model => model.content) %> </div> <div class="editor-field"> <%: Html.TextBoxFor(model => model.content) %> <%: Html.ValidationMessageFor(model => model.content) %> </div> <div class="editor-label"> <%: Html.LabelFor(model => model.MessageTypeID) %> </div> <div class="editor-field"> <%: Html.TextBoxFor(model => model.MessageTypeID) %> <%: Html.ValidationMessageFor(model => model.MessageTypeID) %> </div> <p> <input type="submit" value="Save" /> </p> </fieldset> There is definitely content in the Message collection as, if I remove EditorFor and put in response.write on the content property of the Message class, I get the content field for 3 Message objects on the page, which is exactly as expected.

  • SQL query performance optimization (TimesTen)

    - by Sergey Mikhanov
    Hi community, I need some help with TimesTen DB query optimization. I made some measures with Java profiler and found the code section that takes most of the time (this code section executes the SQL query). What is strange that this query becomes expensive only for some specific input data. Here’s the example. We have two tables that we are querying, one represents the objects we want to fetch (T_PROFILEGROUP), another represents the many-to-many link from some other table (T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS). We are not querying linked table. These are the queries that I executed with DB profiler running (they are the same except for the ID): Command> select G.M_ID from T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS CG, T_PROFILEGROUP G where CG.M_ID_EID = G.M_ID and CG.M_ID_OID = 1464837998949302272; < 1169655247309537280 > < 1169655249792565248 > < 1464837997699399681 > 3 rows found. Command> select G.M_ID from T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS CG, T_PROFILEGROUP G where CG.M_ID_EID = G.M_ID and CG.M_ID_OID = 1466585677823868928; < 1169655247309537280 > 1 row found. This is what I have in the profiler: 12:14:31.147 1 SQL 2L 6C 10825P Preparing: select G.M_ID from T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS CG, T_PROFILEGROUP G where CG.M_ID_EID = G.M_ID and CG.M_ID_OID = 1464837998949302272 12:14:31.147 2 SQL 4L 6C 10825P sbSqlCmdCompile ()(E): (Found already compiled version: refCount:01, bucket:47) cmdType:100, cmdNum:1146695. 12:14:31.147 3 SQL 4L 6C 10825P Opening: select G.M_ID from T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS CG, T_PROFILEGROUP G where CG.M_ID_EID = G.M_ID and CG.M_ID_OID = 1464837998949302272; 12:14:31.147 4 SQL 4L 6C 10825P Fetching: select G.M_ID from T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS CG, T_PROFILEGROUP G where CG.M_ID_EID = G.M_ID and CG.M_ID_OID = 1464837998949302272; 12:14:31.148 5 SQL 4L 6C 10825P Fetching: select G.M_ID from T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS CG, T_PROFILEGROUP G where CG.M_ID_EID = G.M_ID and CG.M_ID_OID = 1464837998949302272; 12:14:31.148 6 SQL 4L 6C 10825P Fetching: select G.M_ID from T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS CG, T_PROFILEGROUP G where CG.M_ID_EID = G.M_ID and CG.M_ID_OID = 1464837998949302272; 12:14:31.228 7 SQL 4L 6C 10825P Fetching: select G.M_ID from T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS CG, T_PROFILEGROUP G where CG.M_ID_EID = G.M_ID and CG.M_ID_OID = 1464837998949302272; 12:14:31.228 8 SQL 4L 6C 10825P Closing: select G.M_ID from T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS CG, T_PROFILEGROUP G where CG.M_ID_EID = G.M_ID and CG.M_ID_OID = 1464837998949302272; 12:14:35.243 9 SQL 2L 6C 10825P Preparing: select G.M_ID from T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS CG, T_PROFILEGROUP G where CG.M_ID_EID = G.M_ID and CG.M_ID_OID = 1466585677823868928 12:14:35.243 10 SQL 4L 6C 10825P sbSqlCmdCompile ()(E): (Found already compiled version: refCount:01, bucket:44) cmdType:100, cmdNum:1146697. 12:14:35.243 11 SQL 4L 6C 10825P Opening: select G.M_ID from T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS CG, T_PROFILEGROUP G where CG.M_ID_EID = G.M_ID and CG.M_ID_OID = 1466585677823868928; 12:14:35.243 12 SQL 4L 6C 10825P Fetching: select G.M_ID from T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS CG, T_PROFILEGROUP G where CG.M_ID_EID = G.M_ID and CG.M_ID_OID = 1466585677823868928; 12:14:35.243 13 SQL 4L 6C 10825P Fetching: select G.M_ID from T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS CG, T_PROFILEGROUP G where CG.M_ID_EID = G.M_ID and CG.M_ID_OID = 1466585677823868928; 12:14:35.243 14 SQL 4L 6C 10825P Closing: select G.M_ID from T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS CG, T_PROFILEGROUP G where CG.M_ID_EID = G.M_ID and CG.M_ID_OID = 1466585677823868928; It’s clear that the first query took almost 100ms, while the second was executed instantly. It’s not about queries precompilation (the first one is precompiled too, as same queries happened earlier). We have DB indices for all columns used here: T_PROFILEGROUP.M_ID, T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS.M_ID_OID and T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS.M_ID_EID. My questions are: Why querying the same set of tables yields such a different performance for different parameters? Which indices are involved here? Is there any way to improve this simple query and/or the DB to make it faster? UPDATE: to give the feeling of size: Command> select count(*) from T_PROFILEGROUP; < 183840 > 1 row found. Command> select count(*) from T_PROFILECONTEXT_PROFILEGROUPS; < 2279104 > 1 row found.

  • Help with MVC controller: passing a string from view to controller

    - by 109221793
    Hi guys, I'm having trouble with one particular issue, I was hoping someone could help me out. I've completed the MVC Music Store tutorial, and now I'm trying to add some administrator functionality - practice as I will have to do this in an MVC application in my job. The application is using the aspnet membership api, and what I have done so far is created a view to list the users. What I want to be able to do, is click on the users name in order to change their password. To try and carry the username to the changeUserPassword controller (custom made). I registered a new route in the global.asax.cs file in order to display the username in the URL, which is working so far. UserList View <%: Html.RouteLink(user.UserName, "AdminPassword", new { controller="StoreManager", action="changeUserPassword", username = user.UserName }) %> Global.asax.cs routes.MapRoute( "AdminPassword", //Route name "{controller}/{action}/{username}", //URL with parameters new { controller = "StoreManager", action = "changeUserPassword", username = UrlParameter.Optional} ); So now the URL looks like this when I reach the changeUserPassword view: http://localhost:51236/StoreManager/changeUserPassword/Administrator Here is the GET changeUserPassword action: public ActionResult changeUserPassword(string username) { ViewData["username"] = username; return View(); } I wanted to store the username in ViewData as I would like to use it in the GET changeUserPassword for display purposes, and also as a hidden value in the form. This is in order to pass it through to enable me to reset the password. Having debugged through the code, it seems that 'username' is null. How can I get this to work so that the username carries over from the Html.RouteLink, to the changeUserPassword action? Any help would be appreciated :) Here is my complete code: UserList.aspx <%@ Page Title="" Language="C#" MasterPageFile="~/Views/Shared/Site.Master" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage<System.Web.Security.MembershipUserCollection>" %> <asp:Content ID="Content1" ContentPlaceHolderID="TitleContent" runat="server"> UserList </asp:Content> <asp:Content ID="Content2" ContentPlaceHolderID="MainContent" runat="server"> <h2>UserList</h2> <table> <tr> <th>User Name</th> <th>Last Activity date</th> <th>Locked Out</th> </tr> <%foreach (MembershipUser user in Model){ %> <tr> <td><%: Html.RouteLink(user.UserName, "AdminPassword", new { controller="StoreManager", action="changeUserPassword", username = user.UserName }) %></td> <td><%: user.LastActivityDate %></td> <td><%: user.IsLockedOut %></td> </tr> <% }%> </table> </asp:Content> changeUserPassword.aspx <%@ Page Title="" Language="C#" MasterPageFile="~/Views/Shared/Site.Master" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage<musicStoreMVC.ViewModels.ResetPasswordAdmin>" %> <asp:Content ID="Content1" ContentPlaceHolderID="TitleContent" runat="server"> changeUserPassword </asp:Content> <asp:Content ID="Content2" ContentPlaceHolderID="MainContent" runat="server"> <h2>Change Password: <%: ViewData["username"] %></h2> <% using (Html.BeginForm()) {%> <%: Html.ValidationSummary(true) %> <fieldset> <legend>Fields</legend> <div class="editor-label"> <%: Html.Hidden("username",ViewData["username"]) %> <%: Html.LabelFor(model => model.password) %> </div> <div class="editor-field"> <%: Html.TextBoxFor(model => model.password) %> <%: Html.ValidationMessageFor(model => model.password) %> </div> <div class="editor-label"> <%: Html.LabelFor(model => model.confirmPassword) %> </div> <div class="editor-field"> <%: Html.TextBoxFor(model => model.confirmPassword) %> <%: Html.ValidationMessageFor(model => model.confirmPassword) %> </div> <p> <input type="submit" value="Create" /> </p> </fieldset> <% } %> <div> <%: Html.ActionLink("Back to List", "Index") %> </div> </asp:Content> My actions public ActionResult UserList() { var users = Membership.GetAllUsers(); return View(users); } public ActionResult changeUserPassword(string username) { ViewData["username"] = username; return View(); }

  • MVC 3 Remote Validation jQuery error on submit

    - by Richard Reddy
    I seem to have a weird issue with remote validation on my project. I am doing a simple validation check on an email field to ensure that it is unique. I've noticed that unless I put the cursor into the textbox and then remove it to trigger the validation at least once before submitting my form I will get a javascript error. e[h] is not a function jquery.min.js line 3 If I try to resubmit the form after the above error is returned everything works as expected. It's almost like the form tried to submit before waiting for the validation to return or something. Am I required to silently fire off a remote validation request on submit before submitting my form? • What statistics can be maintained for a set of numerical data without iterating?

    - by Dan Tao
    Update Just for future reference, I'm going to list all of the statistics that I'm aware of that can be maintained in a rolling collection, recalculated as an O(1) operation on every addition/removal (this is really how I should've worded the question from the beginning): Obvious Count Sum Mean Max* Min* Median** Less Obvious Variance Standard Deviation Skewness Kurtosis Mode*** Weighted Average Weighted Moving Average**** OK, so to put it more accurately: these are not "all" of the statistics I'm aware of. They're just the ones that I can remember off the top of my head right now. *Can be recalculated in O(1) for additions only, or for additions and removals if the collection is sorted (but in this case, insertion is not O(1)). Removals potentially incur an O(n) recalculation for non-sorted collections. **Recalculated in O(1) for a sorted, indexed collection only. ***Requires a fairly complex data structure to recalculate in O(1). ****This can certainly be achieved in O(1) for additions and removals when the weights are assigned in a linearly descending fashion. In other scenarios, I'm not sure. Original Question Say I maintain a collection of numerical data -- let's say, just a bunch of numbers. For this data, there are loads of calculated values that might be of interest; one example would be the sum. To get the sum of all this data, I could... Option 1: Iterate through the collection, adding all the values: double sum = 0.0; for (int i = 0; i < values.Count; i++) sum += values[i]; Option 2: Maintain the sum, eliminating the need to ever iterate over the collection just to find the sum: void Add(double value) { values.Add(value); sum += value; } void Remove(double value) { values.Remove(value); sum -= value; } EDIT: To put this question in more relatable terms, let's compare the two options above to a (sort of) real-world situation: Suppose I start listing numbers out loud and ask you to keep them in your head. I start by saying, "11, 16, 13, 12." If you've just been remembering the numbers themselves and nothing more, and then I say, "What's the sum?", you'd have to think to yourself, "OK, what's 11 + 16 + 13 + 12?" before responding, "52." If, on the other hand, you had been keeping track of the sum yourself while I was listing the numbers (i.e., when I said, "11" you thought "11", when I said "16", you thought, "27," and so on), you could answer "52" right away. Then if I say, "OK, now forget the number 16," if you've been keeping track of the sum inside your head you can simply take 16 away from 52 and know that the new sum is 36, rather than taking 16 off the list and them summing up 11 + 13 + 12. So my question is, what other calculations, other than the obvious ones like sum and average, are like this? SECOND EDIT: As an arbitrary example of a statistic that (I'm almost certain) does require iteration -- and therefore cannot be maintained as simply as a sum or average -- consider if I asked you, "how many numbers in this collection are divisible by the min?" Let's say the numbers are 5, 15, 19, 20, 21, 25, and 30. The min of this set is 5, which divides into 5, 15, 20, 25, and 30 (but not 19 or 21), so the answer is 5. Now if I remove 5 from the collection and ask the same question, the answer is now 2, since only 15 and 30 are divisible by the new min of 15; but, as far as I can tell, you cannot know this without going through the collection again. So I think this gets to the heart of my question: if we can divide kinds of statistics into these categories, those that are maintainable (my own term, maybe there's a more official one somewhere) versus those that require iteration to compute any time a collection is changed, what are all the maintainable ones? What I am asking about is not strictly the same as an online algorithm (though I sincerely thank those of you who introduced me to that concept). An online algorithm can begin its work without having even seen all of the input data; the maintainable statistics I am seeking will certainly have seen all the data, they just don't need to reiterate through it over and over again whenever it changes.

  • Why does calling IEnumerable<string>.Count() create an additional assembly dependency ?

    - by Gishu
    Assume this chain of dll references Tests.dll >> Automation.dll >> White.Core.dll with the following line of code in Tests.dll, where everything builds result.MissingPaths Now when I change this to result.MissingPaths.Count() I get the following build error for Tests.dll "White.UIItem is not defined in an assembly that is not referenced. You must add a reference to White.Core.dll." And I don't want to do that because it breaks my layering. Here is the type definition for result, which is in Automation.dll public class HasResult { public HasResult(IEnumerable<string> missingPaths ) { MissingPaths = missingPaths; } public IEnumerable<string> MissingPaths { get; set; } public bool AllExist { get { return !MissingPaths.Any(); } } } Down the call chain the input param to this ctor is created via (The TreeNode class is in White.Core.dll) assetPaths.Where(assetPath => !FindTreeNodeUsingCache(treeHandle, assetPath)); Why does this dependency leak when calling Count() on IEnumerable ? I then suspected that lazy evaluation was causing this (for some reason) - so I slotted in an ToArray() in the above line but didn't work. Update 2011 01 07: Curiouser and Curiouser! it won't build until I add a White.Core reference. So I add a reference and build it (in order to find the elusive dependency source). Open it up in Reflector and the only references listed are Automation, mscorlib, System.core and NUnit. So the compiler threw away the White reference as it was not needed. ILDASM also confirms that there is no White AssemblyRef entry. Any ideas on how to get to the bottom of this thing (primarily for 'now I wanna know why' reasons)? What are the chances that this is an VS2010/MSBuild bug? Update 2011 01 07 #2 As per Shimmy's suggestion, tried calling the method explcitly as an extension method Enumerable.Count(result.MissingPaths) and it stops cribbing (not sure why). However I moved some code around after that and now I'm getting the same issue at a different location using IEnumerable - this time reading and filtering lines out of a file on disk (totally unrelated to White). Seems like it's a 'symptom-fix'. var lines = File.ReadLines(aFilePath).ToArray(); once again, if I remove the ToArray() it compiles again - it seems that any method that causes the enumerable to be evaluated (ToArray, Count, ToList, etc.) causes this. Let me try and get a working tiny-app to demo this issue... Update 2011 01 07 #3 Phew! More information.. It turns out the problem is just in one source file - this file is LINQ-phobic. Any call to an Enumerable extension method has to be explicitly called out. The refactorings that I did caused a new method to be moved into this source file, which had some LINQ :) Still no clue as to why this class dislikes LINQ. using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.IO; using System.Linq; using G.S.OurAutomation.Constants; using G.S.OurAutomation.Framework; using NUnit.Framework; namespace G.S.AcceptanceTests { public abstract class ConfigureThingBase : OurTestFixture { .... private static IEnumerable<string> GetExpectedThingsFor(string param) { // even this won't compile - although it compiles fine in an adjoining source file in the same assembly //IEnumerable<string> s = new string[0]; //Console.WriteLine(s.Count()); // this is the line that is now causing a build failure // var expectedInfo = File.ReadLines(someCsvFilePath)) // .Where(line => !line.StartsWith("REM", StringComparison.InvariantCultureIgnoreCase)) // .Select(line => line.Replace("%PLACEHOLDER%", param)) // .ToArray(); // Unrolling the LINQ above removes the build error var expectedInfo = Enumerable.ToArray( Enumerable.Select( Enumerable.Where( File.ReadLines(someCsvFilePath)), line => !line.StartsWith("REM", StringComparison.InvariantCultureIgnoreCase)), line => line.Replace("%PLACEHOLDER%", param)));

  • Can't print elements in a DIV tag

    - by Mckenzi
    I am using a Drag-able and re-sizeable DIV's in this HTML file. Where the user will place the DIV tag to his desired place in a main parent DIV tag. Now I want to print this main DIV tag, but the problem is that the code which I'm using to PRINT this main DIV is printing in a sequence, like not the way user has arranged the DIV's. • Factorising program not working. Help required.

    - by Ender
    I am working on a factorisation problem using Fermat's Factorization and for small numbers it is working well. I've been able to calculate the factors (getting the answers from Wolfram Alpha) for small numbers, like the one on the Wikipedia page (5959). Just when I thought I had the problem licked I soon realised that my program was not working when it came to larger numbers. The program follows through the examples from the Wikipedia page, printing out the values a, b, a2 and b2; the results printed for large numbers are not correct. I've followed the pseudocode provided on the Wikipedia page, but am struggling to understand where to go next. Along with the Wikipedia page I have been following this guide. Once again, as my Math knowledge is pretty poor I cannot follow what I need to do next. The code I am using so far is as follows: import java.math.BigInteger; /** * * @author AlexT */ public class Fermat { private BigInteger a, b; private BigInteger b2; private static final BigInteger TWO = BigInteger.valueOf(2); public void fermat(BigInteger N) { // floor(sqrt(N)) BigInteger tmp = getIntSqrt(N); // a <- ceil(sqrt(N)) a = tmp.add(BigInteger.ONE); // b2 <- a*a-N b2 = (a.multiply(a)).subtract(N); final int bitLength = N.bitLength(); BigInteger root = BigInteger.ONE.shiftLeft(bitLength / 2); root = root.add(b2.divide(root)).divide(TWO); // while b2 not square root while(!(isSqrt(b2, root))) { // a <- a + 1 a = a.add(BigInteger.ONE); // b2 <- (a * a) - N b2 = (a.multiply(a)).subtract(N); root = root.add(b2.divide(root)).divide(TWO); } b = getIntSqrt(b2); BigInteger a2 = a.pow(2); // Wrong BigInteger sum = (a.subtract(b)).multiply((a.add(b))); //if(sum.compareTo(N) == 0) { System.out.println("A: " + a + "\nB: " + b); System.out.println("A^2: " + a2 + "\nB^2: " + b2); //} } /** * Is the number provided a perfect Square Root? * @param n * @param root * @return */ private static boolean isSqrt(BigInteger n, BigInteger root) { final BigInteger lowerBound = root.pow(2); final BigInteger upperBound = root.add(BigInteger.ONE).pow(2); return lowerBound.compareTo(n) <= 0 && n.compareTo(upperBound) < 0; } public BigInteger getIntSqrt(BigInteger x) { // It returns s where s^2 < x < (s+1)^2 BigInteger s; // final result BigInteger currentRes = BigInteger.valueOf(0); // init value is 0 BigInteger currentSum = BigInteger.valueOf(0); // init value is 0 BigInteger sum = BigInteger.valueOf(0); String xS = x.toString(); // change input x to a string xS int lengthOfxS = xS.length(); int currentTwoBits; int i=0; // index if(lengthOfxS % 2 != 0) {// if odd length, add a dummy bit xS = "0".concat(xS); // add 0 to the front of string xS lengthOfxS++; } while(i < lengthOfxS){ // go through xS two by two, left to right currentTwoBits = Integer.valueOf(xS.substring(i,i+2)); i += 2; // sum = currentSum*100 + currentTwoBits sum = currentSum.multiply(BigInteger.valueOf(100)); sum = sum.add(BigInteger.valueOf(currentTwoBits)); // subtraction loop do { currentSum = sum; // remember the value before subtract // in next 3 lines, we work out // currentRes = sum - 2*currentRes - 1 sum = sum.subtract(currentRes); // currentRes++ currentRes = currentRes.add(BigInteger.valueOf(1)); sum = sum.subtract(currentRes); } while(sum.compareTo(BigInteger.valueOf(0)) >= 0); // the loop stops when sum < 0 // go one step back currentRes = currentRes.subtract(BigInteger.valueOf(1)); currentRes = currentRes.multiply(BigInteger.valueOf(10)); } s = currentRes.divide(BigInteger.valueOf(10)); // go one step back return s; } /** * @param args the command line arguments */ public static void main(String[] args) { Fermat fermat = new Fermat(); //Works //fermat.fermat(new BigInteger("5959")); // Doesn't Work fermat.fermat(new BigInteger("90283")); } } If anyone can help me out with this problem I'll be eternally grateful.

  • EM12c: Using the LIST verb in emcli

    - by SubinDaniVarughese
    Many of us who use EM CLI to write scripts and automate our daily tasks should not miss out on the new list verb released with Oracle Enterprise Manager 12.1.0.3.0. The combination of list and Jython based scripting support in EM CLI makes it easier to achieve automation for complex tasks with just a few lines of code. Before I jump into a script, let me highlight the key attributes of the list verb and why it’s simply excellent! 1. Multiple resources under a single verb:A resource can be set of users or targets, etc. Using the list verb, you can retrieve information about a resource from the repository database.Here is an example which retrieves the list of administrators within EM.Standard mode$ emcli list -resource="Administrators" Interactive modeemcli>list(resource="Administrators")The output will be the same as standard mode.Standard mode$ emcli @myAdmin.pyEnter password :  ******The output will be the same as standard mode.Contents of myAdmin.py scriptlogin()print list(resource="Administrators",jsonout=False).out()To get a list of all available resources use$ emcli list -helpWith every release of EM, more resources are being added to the list verb. If you have a resource which you feel would be valuable then go ahead and contact Oracle Support to log an enhancement request with product development. Be sure to say how the resource is going to help improve your daily tasks. 2. Consistent Formatting:It is possible to format the output of any resource consistently using these options:  –column  This option is used to specify which columns should be shown in the output. Here is an example which shows the list of administrators and their account status$ emcli list -resource="Administrators" -columns="USER_NAME,REPOS_ACCOUNT_STATUS" To get a list of columns in a resource use:$ emcli list -resource="Administrators" -help You can also specify the width of the each column. For example, here the column width of user_type is set to 20 and department to 30. $ emcli list -resource=Administrators -columns="USER_NAME,USER_TYPE:20,COST_CENTER,CONTACT,DEPARTMENT:30"This is useful if your terminal is too small or you need to fine tune a list of specific columns for your quick use or improved readability.  –colsize  This option is used to resize column widths.Here is the same example as above, but using -colsize to define the width of user_type to 20 and department to 30.$ emcli list -resource=Administrators -columns="USER_NAME,USER_TYPE,COST_CENTER,CONTACT,DEPARTMENT" -colsize="USER_TYPE:20,DEPARTMENT:30" The existing standard EMCLI formatting options are also available in list verb. They are: -format="name:pretty" | -format="name:script” | -format="name:csv" | -noheader | -scriptThere are so many uses depending on your needs. Have a look at the resources and columns in each resource. Refer to the EMCLI book in EM documentation for more information.3. Search:Using the -search option in the list verb makes it is possible to search for a specific row in a specific column within a resource. This is similar to the sqlplus where clause. The following operators are supported:           =           !=           >           <           >=           <=           like           is (Must be followed by null or not null)Here is an example which searches for all EM administrators in the marketing department located in the USA.$emcli list -resource="Administrators" -search="DEPARTMENT ='Marketing'" -search="LOCATION='USA'" Here is another example which shows all the named credentials created since a specific date.  $emcli list -resource=NamedCredentials -search="CredCreatedDate > '11-Nov-2013 12:37:20 PM'"Note that the timestamp has to be in the format DD-MON-YYYY HH:MI:SS AM/PM Some resources need a bind variable to be passed to get output. A bind variable is created in the resource and then referenced in the command. For example, this command will list all the default preferred credentials for target type oracle_database.Here is an example$ emcli list -resource="PreferredCredentialsDefault" -bind="TargetType='oracle_database'" -colsize="SetName:15,TargetType:15" You can provide multiple bind variables. To verify if a column is searchable or requires a bind variable, use the –help option. Here is an example:$ emcli list -resource="PreferredCredentialsDefault" -help 4. Secure accessWhen list verb collects the data, it only displays content for which the administrator currently logged into emcli, has access. For example consider this usecase:AdminA has access only to TargetA. AdminA logs into EM CLIExecuting the list verb to get the list of all targets will only show TargetA.5. User defined SQLUsing the –sql option, user defined sql can be executed. The SQL provided in the -sql option is executed as the EM user MGMT_VIEW, which has read-only access to the EM published MGMT$ database views in the SYSMAN schema. To get the list of EM published MGMT$ database views, go to the Extensibility Programmer's Reference book in EM documentation. There is a chapter about Using Management Repository Views. It’s always recommended to reference the documentation for the supported MGMT$ database views.  Consider you are using the MGMT$ABC view which is not in the chapter. During upgrade, it is possible, since the view was not in the book and not supported, it is likely the view might undergo a change in its structure or the data in it. Using a supported view ensures that your scripts using -sql will continue working after upgrade.Here’s an example  $ emcli list -sql='select * from mgmt$target' 6. JSON output support    JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) enables data to be displayed in a collection of name/value pairs. There is lot of reading material about JSON on line for more information.As an example, we had a requirement where an EM administrator had many 11.2 databases in their test environment and the developers had requested an Administrator to change the lifecycle status from Test to Production which meant the admin had to go to the EM “All targets” page and identify the set of 11.2 databases and then to go into each target database page and manually changes the property to Production. Sounds easy to say, but this Administrator had numerous targets and this task is repeated for every release cycle.We told him there is an easier way to do this with a script and he can reuse the script whenever anyone wanted to change a set of targets to a different Lifecycle status. Here is a jython script which uses list and JSON to change all 11.2 database target’s LifeCycle Property value.If you are new to scripting and Jython, I would suggest visiting the basic chapters in any Jython tutorials. Understanding Jython is important to write the logic depending on your usecase.If you are already writing scripts like perl or shell or know a programming language like java, then you can easily understand the logic.Disclaimer: The scripts in this post are subject to the Oracle Terms of Use located here.  1 from emcli import *  2  search_list = ['PROPERTY_NAME=\'DBVersion\'','TARGET_TYPE= \'oracle_database\'','PROPERTY_VALUE LIKE \'11.2%\'']  3 if len(sys.argv) == 2:  4    print login(username=sys.argv[0])  5    l_prop_val_to_set = sys.argv[1]  6      l_targets = list(resource="TargetProperties", search=search_list,   columns="TARGET_NAME,TARGET_TYPE,PROPERTY_NAME")  7    for target in l_targets.out()['data']:  8       t_pn = 'LifeCycle Status'  9      print "INFO: Setting Property name " + t_pn + " to value " +       l_prop_val_to_set + " for " + target['TARGET_NAME']  10      print  set_target_property_value(property_records=      target['TARGET_NAME']+":"+target['TARGET_TYPE']+":"+      t_pn+":"+l_prop_val_to_set)  11  else:  12   print "\n ERROR: Property value argument is missing"  13   print "\n INFO: Format to run this file is filename.py <username>   <Database Target LifeCycle Status Property Value>" You can download the script from here. I could not upload the file with .py extension so you need to rename the file to myScript.py before executing it using emcli.A line by line explanation for beginners: Line  1 Imports the emcli verbs as functions  2 search_list is a variable to pass to the search option in list verb. I am using escape character for the single quotes. In list verb to pass more than one value for the same option, you should define as above comma separated values, surrounded by square brackets.  3 This is an “if” condition to ensure the user does provide two arguments with the script, else in line #15, it prints an error message.  4 Logging into EM. You can remove this if you have setup emcli with autologin. For more details about setup and autologin, please go the EM CLI book in EM documentation.  5 l_prop_val_to_set is another variable. This is the property value to be set. Remember we are changing the value from Test to Production. The benefit of this variable is you can reuse the script to change the property value from and to any other values.  6 Here the output of the list verb is stored in l_targets. In the list verb I am passing the resource as TargetProperties, search as the search_list variable and I only need these three columns – target_name, target_type and property_name. I don’t need the other columns for my task.  7 This is a for loop. The data in l_targets is available in JSON format. Using the for loop, each pair will now be available in the ‘target’ variable.  8 t_pn is the “LifeCycle Status” variable. If required, I can have this also as an input and then use my script to change any target property. In this example, I just wanted to change the “LifeCycle Status”.  9 This a message informing the user the script is setting the property value for dbxyz.  10 This line shows the set_target_property_value verb which sets the value using the property_records option. Once it is set for a target pair, it moves to the next one. In my example, I am just showing three dbs, but the real use is when you have 20 or 50 targets. The script is executed as:$ emcli @myScript.py subin Production The recommendation is to first test the scripts before running it on a production system. We tested on a small set of targets and optimizing the script for fewer lines of code and better messaging.For your quick reference, the resources available in Enterprise Manager 12.1.0.4.0 with list verb are:$ emcli list -helpWatch this space for more blog posts using the list verb and EM CLI Scripting use cases. Any help would be appreciated.

  • XSLT Transforming sequential XML to hierarchical XML

    - by Jean-Paul Smit
    I have a requirement to transform a sequential XML node list into a hierarchical, but I run into some XSLT specific knowledge gap. The input XML contains articles, colors and sizes. In the sample below 'Record1' is an article, 'Record2' represents a color and 'Record3' are the sizes. The number of colors and sizes (record2 and record3) elements can vary. <root> <Record1>...</Record1> <Record2>...</Record2> <Record3>...</Record3> <Record3>...</Record3> <Record2>...</Record2> <Record3>...</Record3> <Record3>...</Record3> <Record3>...</Record3> <Record3>...</Record3> <Record1>...</Record1> <Record2>...</Record2> <Record3>...</Record3> <Record3>...</Record3> <Record2>...</Record2> <Record3>...</Record3> <Record3>...</Record3> <Record3>...</Record3> <Record3>...</Record3> </root> All fields are on the same hierarchical level, but still I have to create this structure as output: <root> <article> -> Record1 <color> -> Record2 <size>...</size> -> Record3 <size>...</size> -> Record3 </color> <color> -> Record2 <size>...</size> -> Record3 <size>...</size> -> Record3 <size>...</size> -> Record3 <size>...</size> -> Record3 </color> </article> <article> -> Record1 <color> -> Record2 <size>...</size> -> Record3 <size>...</size> -> Record3 </color> <color> -> Record2 <size>...</size> -> Record3 <size>...</size> -> Record3 <size>...</size> -> Record3 <size>...</size> -> Record3 </color> </article> </root> I've tried to iterate the nodes sequentially but for example the 'article' (=record1) node tag needs to remain unclosed while 'color' (=record2) nodes are processed. The same counts for processing 'size' (=record3) having 'color' unclosed, but that is not allowed by XSLT. My next idea was to call a template for every article, color and size level, but I don't know how to select for example all 'record3' nodes between the current 'record2' and the next article represented by 'record1'. I've also got a limitation on the XSLT version because I need this transformation in BizTalk Server which only supports XSLT 1.0 Can someone push me in the right direction?

  • Complex sound handling (I.E. pitch change while looping)

    - by Matthew
    Hi everyone I've been meaning to learn Java for a while now (I usually keep myself in languages like C and Lua) but buying an android phone seems like an excellent time to start. now after going through the lovely set of tutorials and a while spent buried in source code I'm beginning to get the feel for it so what's my next step? well to dive in with a fully featured application with graphics, sound, sensor use, touch response and a full menu. hmm now there's a slight conundrum since i can continue to use cryptic references to my project or risk telling you what the application is but at the same time its going to make me look like a raving sci-fi nerd so bare with me for the brief... A semi-working sonic screwdriver (oh yes!) my grand idea was to make an animated screwdriver where sliding the controls up and down modulate the frequency and that frequency dictates the sensor data it returns. now I have a semi-working sound system but its pretty poor for what its designed to represent and I just wouldn't be happy producing a sub-par end product whether its my first or not. the problem : sound must begin looping when the user presses down on the control the sound must stop when the user releases the control when moving the control up or down the sound effect must change pitch accordingly if the user doesn't remove there finger before backing out of the application it must plate the casing of there device with gold (Easter egg ;P) now I'm aware of how monolithic the first 3 look and that's why I would really appreciate any help I can get. sorry for how bad this code looks but my general plan is to create the functional components then refine the code later, no good painting the walls if the roofs not finished. here's my user input, he set slide stuff is used in the graphics for the control @Override public boolean onTouchEvent(MotionEvent event) { //motion event for the screwdriver view if(event.getAction() == MotionEvent.ACTION_DOWN) { //make sure the users at least trying to touch the slider if (event.getY() > SonicSlideYTop && event.getY() < SonicSlideYBottom) { //power setup, im using 1.5 to help out the rate on soundpool since it likes 0.5 to 1.5 SonicPower = 1.5f - ((event.getY() - SonicSlideYTop) / SonicSlideLength); //just goes into a method which sets a private variable in my sound pool class thing mSonicAudio.setPower(1, SonicPower); //this handles the slides graphics setSlideY ( (int) event.getY() ); @Override public boolean onTouchEvent(MotionEvent event) { //motion event for the screwdriver view if(event.getAction() == MotionEvent.ACTION_DOWN) { //make sure the users at least trying to touch the slider if (event.getY() > SonicSlideYTop && event.getY() < SonicSlideYBottom) { //power setup, im using 1.5 to help out the rate on soundpool since it likes 0.5 to 1.5 SonicPower = 1.5f - ((event.getY() - SonicSlideYTop) / SonicSlideLength); //just goes into a method which sets a private variable in my sound pool class thing mSonicAudio.setPower(1, SonicPower); //this handles the slides graphics setSlideY ( (int) event.getY() ); //this is from my latest attempt at loop pitch change, look for this in my soundPool class mSonicAudio.startLoopedSound(); } } if(event.getAction() == MotionEvent.ACTION_MOVE) { if (event.getY() > SonicSlideYTop && event.getY() < SonicSlideYBottom) { SonicPower = 1.5f - ((event.getY() - SonicSlideYTop) / SonicSlideLength); mSonicAudio.setPower(1, SonicPower); setSlideY ( (int) event.getY() ); } } if(event.getAction() == MotionEvent.ACTION_UP) { mSonicAudio.stopLoopedSound(); SonicPower = 1.5f - ((event.getY() - SonicSlideYTop) / SonicSlideLength); mSonicAudio.setPower(1, SonicPower); } return true; } and here's where those methods end up in my sound pool class its horribly messy but that's because I've been trying a ton of variants to get this to work, you will also notice that I begin to hard code the index, again I was trying to get the methods to work before making them work well. package com.mattster.sonicscrewdriver; import java.util.HashMap; import android.content.Context; import android.media.AudioManager; import android.media.SoundPool; public class SoundManager { private float mPowerLvl = 1f; private SoundPool mSoundPool; private HashMap mSoundPoolMap; private AudioManager mAudioManager; private Context mContext; private int streamVolume; private int LoopState; private long mLastTime; public SoundManager() { } public void initSounds(Context theContext) { mContext = theContext; mSoundPool = new SoundPool(2, AudioManager.STREAM_MUSIC, 0); mSoundPoolMap = new HashMap<Integer, Integer>(); mAudioManager = (AudioManager)mContext.getSystemService(Context.AUDIO_SERVICE); streamVolume = mAudioManager.getStreamVolume(AudioManager.STREAM_MUSIC); } public void addSound(int index,int SoundID) { mSoundPoolMap.put(1, mSoundPool.load(mContext, SoundID, 1)); } public void playUpdate(int index) { if( LoopState == 1) { long now = System.currentTimeMillis(); if (now > mLastTime) { mSoundPool.play(mSoundPoolMap.get(1), streamVolume, streamVolume, 1, 0, mPowerLvl); mLastTime = System.currentTimeMillis() + 250; } } } public void stopLoopedSound() { LoopState = 0; mSoundPool.setVolume(mSoundPoolMap.get(1), 0, 0); mSoundPool.stop(mSoundPoolMap.get(1)); } public void startLoopedSound() { LoopState = 1; } public void setPower(int index, float mPower) { mPowerLvl = mPower; mSoundPool.setRate(mSoundPoolMap.get(1), mPowerLvl); } } ah ha! I almost forgot, that looks pretty ineffective but I omitted my thread which actuality updates it, nothing fancy it just calls : mSonicAudio.playUpdate(1); thanks in advance, Matthew

    can anyone tell me what is wrong in this code? i am getting an error in the main function, when i am calling the 'file_write' method function inside the main function, it says 'y' is not declared in this scope, but actually it was an argument that i have passed it in the method function earlier. is it a serious error? #include <stdio.h> #include <stdlib.h> #include <time.h> unsigned int width = 1500; unsigned int height = 1500; unsigned int max_iterations = 30000; unsigned int **color = NULL; double threshold = 4; double min_re = -2.0; double max_re = 1.0; double min_im = -1.2; double max_im = min_im+(max_re-min_re)*height/width; double x_factor = (max_re-min_re)/(width-1); double y_factor = (max_im-min_im)/(height-1); int file_write(int x, int y, double min_re, double max_im, double x_factor, double y_factor) { FILE *fractal = fopen("mandelbrot_imageSequential.ppm","w+"); if(fractal != NULL) { fprintf(fractal,"P6\n"); fprintf(fractal,"# %s\n", "Mandelbrot_imageSequential.ppm"); fprintf(fractal,"%d %d\n", height, width); fprintf(fractal,"255\n"); unsigned int R = 0, G = 0, B = 0; for(unsigned y = 0; y < height; ++y) { double c_im = max_im - y*y_factor; for(unsigned x = 0; x < width; ++x) { double c_re = min_re + x*x_factor; double Z_re = c_re, Z_im = c_im; bool image_inside = true; R = 0, G = 0, B = 0; for(unsigned n=0; n<max_iterations; ++n) { double Z_re2 = Z_re*Z_re, Z_im2 = Z_im*Z_im; if(Z_re2 + Z_im2 > threshold) { image_inside = false; G = n; if(G == 10) { G = 25, R = 10, B = 5; } break; } Z_im = 2 * Z_re * Z_im + c_im; Z_re = Z_re2 - Z_im2 + c_re; } if(image_inside) { putc(R, fractal); putc(G, fractal); putc(B, fractal); } else { putc(R, fractal); putc(G, fractal); putc(B, fractal); } } } fclose(fractal); return 0; } } int main(int argc, char *argv[]) { if(argc != 9) { printf("There is an error in the input given.\n"); return 0; } else { height = atoi(argv[1]); width = atoi(argv[2]); max_iterations = atoi(argv[3]); min_re = atof(argv[4]); max_re = atof(argv[5]); min_im = atof(argv[6]); max_im = atof(argv[7]); threshold = atoi(argv[8]); } color = (unsigned int**)malloc(height*sizeof(unsigned int*)); printf("height = %d\twidth = %d\tmaximum_iterations = %d\tminimum_x-value = %.2f\tmaximum_x-value = %.2f\tminimum_y-value = %.2f\tmaximum_y-value = %.2f\tthreshold_value = %.2f\t\n",height,width,max_iterations,min_re,max_re,min_im,max_im,threshold); int x; for(x = 0; x < height; x++) { color[x] = (unsigned int*)malloc(width*sizeof(unsigned int)); } time_t ts,te; time(&ts); file_write(x,y,min_re,max_im,x_factor,y_factor); time(&te); double diff = difftime(te,ts); printf("Total Time elapsed: %f\n",diff); for(x = 0; x < height; x++) { free(color[x]); } free(color); return 0; }

  • Returning Json object from controller action to jQuery

    - by PsychoCoder
    I'm attempting to get this working properly (2 days now). I'm working on a log in where I'm calling the controller action from jQuery, passing it a JSON object (utilizing json2.js) and returning a Json object from the controller. I'm able to call the action fine, but instead of being able to put the response where I want it it just opens a new window with this printed on the screen: {"Message":"Invalid username/password combination"} And the URL looks like http://localhost:13719/Account/LogOn so instead of calling the action and not reloading the page it's taking the user to the controller, which isn't good. So now for some code, first the controller code [HttpPost] public ActionResult LogOn(LogOnModel model, string returnUrl = "") { if (ModelState.IsValid) { var login = ObjectFactory.GetInstance<IRepository<PhotographerLogin>>(); var user = login.FindOne(x => x.Login == model.Username && x.Pwd == model.Password); if (user == null) return Json(new FailedLoginViewModel { Message = "Invalid username/password combination" }); else { if (!string.IsNullOrEmpty(returnUrl)) return Redirect(returnUrl); else return RedirectToAction("Index", "Home"); } } return RedirectToAction("Index", "Home"); } And the jQuery code $("#signin_submit").click(function () { var login = getLogin(); $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "../Account/LogOn", data: JSON.stringify(login), dataType: 'json', contentType: 'application/json; charset=utf-8', error: function (xhr) { $("#message").text(xhr.statusText); }, success: function (result) { } }); }); function getLogin() { var un = $("#username").val(); var pwd = $("#password").val(); var rememberMe = $("#rememberme").val(); return (un == "") ? null : { Username: un, Password: pwd, RememberMe: rememberMe }; } In case you need to see the actual login form here that is as well <fieldset id="signin_menu"> <div> <span id="message"></span> </div> <% Html.EnableClientValidation(); %> <% using (Html.BeginForm("LogOn", "Account", FormMethod.Post, new { @id = "signin" })) {%> <% ViewContext.FormContext.ValidationSummaryId = "valLogOnContainer"; %> <%= Html.LabelFor(m => m.Username) %> <%= Html.TextBoxFor(m => m.Username, new { @class = "inputbox", @tabindex = "4", @id = "username" })%><%= Html.ValidationMessageFor(m => m.Username, "*")%> <p> <%= Html.LabelFor(m=>m.Password) %> <%= Html.PasswordFor(m => m.Password, new { @class = "inputbox", @tabindex = "5", @id = "password" })%><%= Html.ValidationMessageFor(m => m.Password, "*")%> </p> <p class="remember"> <input id="signin_submit" value="Sign in" tabindex="6" type="submit"/> <%= Html.CheckBoxFor(m => m.RememberMe, new { @class = "inputbox", @tabindex = "7", @id = "rememberme" })%> <%= Html.LabelFor(m => m.RememberMe) %> <p class="forgot"> <a href="#" id="forgot_password_link" title="Click here to reset your password.">Forgot your password?</a> </p> <p class="forgot-username"> <a href="#" id="forgot_username_link" title="Fogot your login name? We can help with that">Forgot your username?</a> </p> </p> <%= Html.ValidationSummaryJQuery("Please fix the following errors.", new Dictionary<string, object> { { "id", "valLogOnContainer" } })%> <% } %> </fieldset> The login form is loaded on the main page with <% Html.RenderPartial("LogonControl");%> Not sure if that has any bearing on this or not but thought I'd mention it. EDIT: The login form is loaded similar to the Twitter login, click a link and the form loads with the help of jQuery & CSS

  • Good coding style to do case-select in XSLT

    - by Scud
    I want to have a page display A,B,C,D depending on the return value from XML value (1,2,3,4). My approaches are by javascript or XSLT:choose. I want to know which way is better, and why? Can I do this case-select in .cs code (good or bad)? Should I javascript code in XSLT? Can the community please advise? Thanks. Below are the code. Javascript way (this one works): <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns:msxsl="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xslt" xmlns:js="urn:custom-javascript"> <xsl:template match="page"> <msxsl:script language="JavaScript" implements-prefix="js"> <![CDATA[ function translateSkillLevel(level) { switch (level) { case 0: return "Level 1"; case 1: return "Level 2"; case 2: return "Level 3"; } return "unknown"; } ]]> </msxsl:script> <div id="skill"> <table border="0" cellpadding="1" cellspacing="1"> <tr> <th>Level</th> </tr> <xsl:for-each select="/page/Skill"> <tr> <td> <!-- difference here --> <script type="text/javascript"> document.write(translateSkillLevel(<xsl:value-of select="@level"/>)); </script> </td> </tr> </xsl:for-each> </table> </div> </xsl:template> </xsl:stylesheet> Javascript way (this one doesn't work, getting undefined js tag): <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns:msxsl="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xslt" xmlns:js="urn:custom-javascript"> <xsl:template match="page"> <msxsl:script language="JavaScript" implements-prefix="js"> <![CDATA[ function translateSkillLevel(level) { switch (level) { case 0: return "Level 1"; case 1: return "Level 2"; case 2: return "Level 3"; } return "unknown"; } ]]> </msxsl:script> <div id="skill"> <table border="0" cellpadding="1" cellspacing="1"> <tr> <th>Level</th> </tr> <xsl:for-each select="/page/Skill"> <tr> <td> <!-- difference here --> <xsl:value-of select="js:translateSkillLevel(string(@level))"/> </td> </tr> </xsl:for-each> </table> </div> </xsl:template> </xsl:stylesheet> XSLT way: <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"> <xsl:template match="page"> <div id="skill"> <table border="0" cellpadding="1" cellspacing="1"> <tr> <th>Level</th> </tr> <xsl:for-each select="/page/Skill"> <tr> <td> <xsl:choose> <xsl:when test="@level = 0"> Level 1 </xsl:when> <xsl:when test="@level = 1"> Level 2 </xsl:when> <xsl:when test="@level = 2"> Level 3 </xsl:when> <xsl:otherwise> unknown </xsl:otherwisexsl:otherwise> </xsl:choose> </td> </tr> </xsl:for-each> </table> </div> </xsl:template> </xsl:stylesheet> EDIT: Also, I have some inline javascript functions for form submit. <input type="submit" onclick="javascript:document.forms[0].submit();return false;"/>

  • Design advice for avoiding change in several classes

    - by Anders Svensson
    Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to design a small application more elegantly, and make it more resistant to change. Basically it is a sort of project price calculator, and the problem is that there are many parameters that can affect the pricing. I'm trying to avoid cluttering the code with a lot of if-clauses for each parameter, but still I have e.g. if-clauses in two places checking for the value of the size parameter. I have the Head First Design Patterns book, and have tried to find ideas there, but the closest I got was the decorator pattern, which has an example where starbuzz coffee sets prices depending first on condiments added, and then later in an exercise by adding a size parameter (Tall, Grande, Venti). But that didn't seem to help, because adding that parameter still seemed to add if-clause complexity in a lot of places (and this being an exercise they didn't explain that further). What I am trying to avoid is having to change several classes if a parameter were to change or a new parameter added, or at least change in as few places as possible (there's some fancy design principle word for this that I don't rememeber :-)). Here below is the code. Basically it calculates the price for a project that has the tasks "Writing" and "Analysis" with a size parameter and different pricing models. There will be other parameters coming in later too, like "How new is the product?" (New, 1-5 years old, 6-10 years old), etc. Any advice on the best design would be greatly appreciated, whether a "design pattern" or just good object oriented principles that would make it resistant to change (e.g. adding another size, or changing one of the size values, and only have to change in one place rather than in several if-clauses): public class Project { private readonly int _numberOfProducts; protected Size _size; public Task Analysis { get; set; } public Task Writing { get; set; } public Project(int numberOfProducts) { _numberOfProducts = numberOfProducts; _size = GetSize(); Analysis = new AnalysisTask(numberOfProducts, _size); Writing = new WritingTask(numberOfProducts, _size); } private Size GetSize() { if (_numberOfProducts <= 2) return Size.small; if (_numberOfProducts <= 8) return Size.medium; return Size.large; } public double GetPrice() { return Analysis.GetPrice() + Writing.GetPrice(); } } public abstract class Task { protected readonly int _numberOfProducts; protected Size _size; protected double _pricePerHour; protected Dictionary<Size, int> _hours; public abstract int TotalHours { get; } public double Price { get; set; } protected Task(int numberOfProducts, Size size) { _numberOfProducts = numberOfProducts; _size = size; } public double GetPrice() { return _pricePerHour * TotalHours; } } public class AnalysisTask : Task { public AnalysisTask(int numberOfProducts, Size size) : base(numberOfProducts, size) { _pricePerHour = 850; _hours = new Dictionary<Size, int>() { { Size.small, 56 }, { Size.medium, 104 }, { Size.large, 200 } }; } public override int TotalHours { get { return _hours[_size]; } } } public class WritingTask : Task { public WritingTask(int numberOfProducts, Size size) : base(numberOfProducts, size) { _pricePerHour = 650; _hours = new Dictionary<Size, int>() { { Size.small, 125 }, { Size.medium, 100 }, { Size.large, 60 } }; } public override int TotalHours { get { if (_size == Size.small) return _hours[_size] * _numberOfProducts; if (_size == Size.medium) return (_hours[Size.small] * 2) + (_hours[Size.medium] * (_numberOfProducts - 2)); return (_hours[Size.small] * 2) + (_hours[Size.medium] * (8 - 2)) + (_hours[Size.large] * (_numberOfProducts - 8)); } } } public enum Size { small, medium, large } public partial class Form1 : Form { public Form1() { InitializeComponent(); List<int> quantities = new List<int>(); for (int i = 0; i < 100; i++) { quantities.Add(i); } comboBoxNumberOfProducts.DataSource = quantities; } private void comboBoxNumberOfProducts_SelectedIndexChanged(object sender, EventArgs e) { Project project = new Project((int)comboBoxNumberOfProducts.SelectedItem); labelPrice.Text = project.GetPrice().ToString(); labelWriterHours.Text = project.Writing.TotalHours.ToString(); labelAnalysisHours.Text = project.Analysis.TotalHours.ToString(); } } At the end is a simple current calling code in the change event for a combobox that set size... (BTW, I don't like the fact that I have to use several dots to get to the TotalHours at the end here either, as far as I can recall, that violates the "principle of least knowledge" or "the law of demeter", so input on that would be appreciated too, but it's not the main point of the question) Regards, Anders

  • PERL XPath Parser Help

    - by cognvision
    I want to pull in data using a XML::XPath parser from a XML DB file from the Worldbank site. The problem is that I'm not seeing any results in the output. I must be missing something in the code. Ideally, I would like to extract just the death rate statistics from each country XML DB (year and value). I'm using this as part of my input: http://data.worldbank.org/sites/default/files/countries/en/afghanistan_en.xml use strict; use LWP 5.64; use HTML::ContentExtractor; use XML::XPath; my $agent1 = LWP::UserAgent->new; my $extractor = HTML::ContentExtractor->new(); #Retrieve main Worldbank country site my $mainlink = "http://data.worldbank.org/country/"; my $page = $agent1->get("$mainlink"); my $fulltext = $page->decoded_content(); #Match to just all available countries in Worldbank my $country = ""; my @countryList; if (@countryList = $fulltext =~ m/(http:\/\/data\.worldbank\.org\/country\/.*?")/gi){ foreach $country(@countryList){ #Remove " at the end of link $country=~s/\"//gi; print "\n" . $country; #Retrieve each country profile's XML DB file my $page = $agent1->get("$country"); my $fulltext = $page->decoded_content(); my $XML_DB = ""; my @countryXMLDBList; if (@countryXMLDBList = $fulltext =~ m/(http:\/\/data\.worldbank\.org\/sites\/default\/files\/countries\/en\/.*?\.xml)/gi){ foreach $XML_DB(@countryXMLDBList){ my $page = $agent1->get("$XML_DB"); my $fulltext = $page->decoded_content(); #print $fulltext; #Use XML XPath parser to find elements related to death rate my $xp = XML::XPath->new($fulltext); #my $xp = XML::XPath->new("afghanistan_en.xml"); my $nodeSet = $xp->find("//*"); if (!$nodeSet->isa('XML::XPath::NodeSet') || $nodeSet->size() == 0) { #No match found print "\nMatch not found!"; exit; } else { foreach my $node ($nodeSet->get_nodelist){ print "\n" . $node->find('country')->string_value; print "\n" . $node->find('indicator')->string_value; print "\n" . $node->find('year')->string_value; print "\n" . $node->find('value')->string_value; exit; } } } #Build line graph based on death rate statistics and output some image file format } } } I am also looking into using the xpath expression "following-sibling", but not sure how to use it correctly. For example, I have the following set of XML data where I am only interested in pulling siblings directly after the indicator for just death rate data. <data> <country id="AFG">Afghanistan</country> <indicator id="SP.DYN.CDRT.IN">Death rate, crude (per 1,000 people)</indicator> <year>2006</year> <value>20.3410000</value> </data> - <data> <country id="AFG">Afghanistan</country> <indicator id="SP.DYN.CDRT.IN">Death rate, crude (per 1,000 people)</indicator> <year>2007</year> <value>19.9480000</value> </data> - <data> <country id="AFG">Afghanistan</country> <indicator id="SP.DYN.CDRT.IN">Death rate, crude (per 1,000 people)</indicator> <year>2008</year> <value>19.5720000</value> </data> - <data> <country id="AFG">Afghanistan</country> <indicator id="IC.EXP.DOCS">Documents to export (number)</indicator> <year>2005</year> <value>7.0000000</value> </data> - <data> <country id="AFG">Afghanistan</country> <indicator id="IC.EXP.DOCS">Documents to export (number)</indicator> <year>2006</year> <value>12.0000000</value> </data> - <data> <country id="AFG">Afghanistan</country> <indicator id="IC.EXP.DOCS">Documents to export (number)</indicator> <year>2007</year> <value>12.0000000</value> </data> Any help would be much appreciated!!!

  • C++ Linked List - Reading data from a file with a sentinel

    - by Nick
    So I've done quite a bit of research on this and can't get my output to work correctly. I need to read in data from a file and have it stored into a Linked List. The while loop used should stop once it hits the $$$$$ sentinel. Then I am to display the data (by searching by ID Number[user input]) I am not that far yet I just want to properly display the data and get it read in for right now. My problem is when it displays the data is isn't stopping at the $$$$$ (even if I do "inFile.peek() != EOF and omit the $$$$$) I am still getting an extra garbage record. I know it has something to do with my while loop and how I am creating a new Node but I can't get it to work any other way. Any help would be appreciated. students.txt Nick J Cooley 324123 60 70 80 90 Jay M Hill 412254 70 80 90 100 $$$$$ assign6.h file #pragma once #include <iostream> #include <string> using namespace std; class assign6 { public: assign6(); // constructor void displayStudents(); private: struct Node { string firstName; string midIni; string lastName; int idNum; int sco1; //Test score 1 int sco2; //Test score 2 int sco3; //Test score 3 int sco4; //Test score 4 Node *next; }; Node *head; Node *headPtr; }; assign6Imp.cpp // Implementation File #include "assign6.h" #include <fstream> #include <iostream> #include <string> using namespace std; assign6::assign6() //constructor { ifstream inFile; inFile.open("students.txt"); head = NULL; head = new Node; headPtr = head; while (inFile.peek() != EOF) //reading in from file and storing in linked list { inFile >> head->firstName >> head->midIni >> head->lastName; inFile >> head->idNum; inFile >> head->sco1; inFile >> head->sco2; inFile >> head->sco3; inFile >> head->sco4; if (inFile != "$$$$$") { head->next = NULL; head->next = new Node; head = head->next; } } head->next = NULL; inFile.close(); } void assign6::displayStudents() { int average = 0; for (Node *cur = headPtr; cur != NULL; cur = cur->next) { cout << cur->firstName << " " << cur->midIni << " " << cur->lastName << endl; cout << cur->idNum << endl; average = (cur->sco1 + cur->sco2 + cur->sco3 + cur->sco4)/4; cout << cur->sco1 << " " << cur->sco2 << " " << cur->sco3 << " " << cur->sco4 << " " << "average: " << average << endl; } }

  • Problem with jQuery and ASP.Net MVC 2

    - by robert_d
    I have a problem with jQuery, here is how my web app works Search.aspx web page which contains a form and jQuery script posts data to Search() action in Home controller after user clicks button1 button. Search.aspx: <%@ Page Title="" Language="C#" MasterPageFile="~/Views/Shared/Site.Master" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage<GLSChecker.Models.WebGLSQuery>" %> <asp:Content ID="Content1" ContentPlaceHolderID="TitleContent" runat="server"> Title </asp:Content> <asp:Content ID="Content2" ContentPlaceHolderID="MainContent" runat="server"> <h2>Search</h2> <% Html.EnableClientValidation(); %> <% using (Html.BeginForm()) {%> <fieldset> <div class="editor-label"> <%: Html.LabelFor(model => model.Url) %> </div> <div class="editor-field"> <%: Html.TextBoxFor(model => model.Url, new { size = "50" } ) %> <%: Html.ValidationMessageFor(model => model.Url) %> </div> <div class="editor-label"> <%: Html.LabelFor(model => model.Location) %> </div> <div class="editor-field"> <%: Html.TextBoxFor(model => model.Location, new { size = "50" } ) %> <%: Html.ValidationMessageFor(model => model.Location) %> </div> <div class="editor-label"> <%: Html.LabelFor(model => model.KeywordLines) %> </div> <div class="editor-field"> <%: Html.TextAreaFor(model => model.KeywordLines, 10, 60, null)%> <%: Html.ValidationMessageFor(model => model.KeywordLines)%> </div> <p> <input id ="button1" type="submit" value="Search" /> </p> </fieldset> <% } %> <script src="../../Scripts/jquery-1.4.1.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> jQuery("#button1").click(function (e) { window.setInterval(refreshResult, 5000); }); function refreshResult() { jQuery("#divResult").load("/Home/Refresh"); } </script> <div id="divResult"> </div> </asp:Content> [HttpPost] public ActionResult Search(WebGLSQuery queryToCreate) { if (!ModelState.IsValid) return View("Search"); queryToCreate.Remote_Address = HttpContext.Request.ServerVariables["REMOTE_ADDR"]; Session["Result"] = null; SearchKeywordLines(queryToCreate); Thread.Sleep(15000); return View("Search"); }//Search() After button1 button is clicked the above script from Search.aspx web page runs. Search() action in controller runs for longer period of time. I simulate this in testing by putting Thread.Sleep(15000); in Search()action. 5 sec. after Submit button was pressed, the above jQuery script calls Refresh() action in Home controller. public ActionResult Refresh() { ViewData["Result"] = DateTime.Now; return PartialView(); } Refresh() renders this partial <%@ Control Language="C#" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewUserControl" % <%= ViewData["Result"] % The problem is that in Internet Explorer 8 there is only one request to /Home/Refresh; in Firefox 3.6.3 all requests to /Home/Refresh are made but nothing is displayed on the web page. Another problem with Firefox is that requests to /Home/Refresh are made every second not every 5 seconds. I noticed that after I clear Firefox cache the script works well first time button1 is pressed, but after that it doesn't work. I would be grateful for helpful suggestions.

  • Fetch a specific tag from Rally in order to compute a value in another field

    - by 4jas
    I'm extremely new to Rally development so my question may sound dumb (but couldn't find how to do it from rally's help or from previous posts here) :) I've started from the rally freeform grid example - my purpose is to implement a Business Value calculator: I fill the score field with a 5-digit figure where each number is a score in the 1-5 range. Then I compute a business value as the result of a calculation, where each number is weighted by a preset weight. I can sort my stories by Business Value to help me prioritize my backlog: that's the first step, and it works. Now what I want to do is to make my freeform grid editable: I am extracting each of my digits as a separate column, but those columns are display-only. How can I turn them into something editable? What I want to do of course is update back the score field based on the values input in each custom column. Here's an example: I have a record with score "15254", which means Business Value criteria 1 scores 1 out of 5, Business Value criteria 2 scores 5 out of 5, and so on... In the end my Business Value is computed as "1*1 + 5*2 + 2*3 + 5*4 + 4*5 = 57". So far this is the part that works. Now let's say I found that the third criteria should not score 2 but 3, I want to be able to edit the value in the corresponding column and have my score field updated to "15354", and my Business Value to display 60 instead of 57. Here is my current code, I'll be really grateful if you can help me with turning that grid into something editable :) <!--Include SDK--> <script type="text/javascript" src="https://rally1.rallydev.com/apps/2.0p2/sdk-debug.js"></script> <!--App code--> <script type="text/javascript"> Rally.onReady(function() { Ext.define('BVApp', { extend: 'Rally.app.App', componentCls: 'app', launch: function() { Ext.create('Rally.data.WsapiDataStore', { model: 'UserStory', autoLoad: true, listeners: { load: this._onDataLoaded, scope: this } }); }, _onDataLoaded: function(store, data) { var records = []; var li_score; var li_bv1, li_bv2, li_bv3, li_bv4, li_bv5, li_bvtotal; var weights = new Array(1, 2, 3, 4, 5); Ext.Array.each(data, function(record) { //Let's fetch score and compute the business values... li_score = record.get('Score'); if (li_score) { li_bv1 = li_score.toString().substring(0,1); li_bv2 = li_score.toString().substring(1,2); li_bv3 = li_score.toString().substring(2,3); li_bv4 = li_score.toString().substring(3,4); li_bv5 = li_score.toString().substring(4,5); li_bvtotal = li_bv1*weights[0] + li_bv2*weights[1] + li_bv3*weights[2] + li_bv4*weights[3] + li_bv5*weights[4]; } records.push({ FormattedID: record.get('FormattedID'), ref: record.get('_ref'), Name: record.get('Name'), Score: record.get('Score'), Bv1: li_bv1, Bv2: li_bv2, Bv3: li_bv3, Bv4: li_bv4, Bv5: li_bv5, BvTotal: li_bvtotal }); }); this.add({ xtype: 'rallygrid', store: Ext.create('Rally.data.custom.Store', { data: records, pageSize: 5 }), columnCfgs: [ { text: 'FormattedID', dataIndex: 'FormattedID' }, { text: 'ref', dataIndex: 'ref' }, { text: 'Name', dataIndex: 'Name', flex: 1 }, { text: 'Score', dataIndex: 'Score' }, { text: 'BusVal 1', dataIndex: 'Bv1' }, { text: 'BusVal 2', dataIndex: 'Bv2' }, { text: 'BusVal 3', dataIndex: 'Bv3' }, { text: 'BusVal 4', dataIndex: 'Bv4' }, { text: 'BusVal 5', dataIndex: 'Bv5' }, { text: 'BusVal Total', dataIndex: 'BvTotal' } ] }); } }); Rally.launchApp('BVApp', { name: 'Business Values App' }); var exampleHtml = '<div id="example-intro"><h1>Business Values App</h1>' + '<div>Own sample app for Business Values</div>' + '</div>'; // Default app viewport uses layout: 'fit', // so we need to insert a container into the viewport var viewport = Ext.ComponentQuery.query('viewport')[0]; var appComponent = viewport.items.getAt(0); var viewportContainerItems = [{ html: exampleHtml, border: 0 }]; //hide advanced cardboard live previews in examples for now viewportContainerItems.push({ xtype: 'container', items: [appComponent] }); viewport.remove(appComponent, false); viewport.add({ xtype: 'container', layout: 'vbox', items: viewportContainerItems }); }); </script> <!--App styles--> <style type="text/css"> .app { /* Add app styles here */ } </style>

  • OpenGL + cgFX Alpha Blending failure

    - by dopplex
    I have a shader that needs to additively blend to its output render target. While it had been fully implemented and working, I recently refactored and have done something that is causing the alpha blending to not work anymore. I'm pretty sure that the problem is somewhere in my calls to either OpenGL or cgfx - but I'm currently at a loss for where exactly the problem is, as everything looks like it is set up properly for alpha blending to occur. No OpenGL or cg framework errors are showing up, either. For some context, what I'm doing here is taking a buffer which contains screen position and luminance values for each pixel, copying it to a PBO, and using it as the vertex buffer for drawing GL_POINTS. Everything except for the alpha blending appears to be working as expected. I've confirmed both that the input vertex buffer has the correct values, and that my vertex and fragment shaders are outputting the points to the correct locations and with the correct luminance values. The way that I've arrived at the conclusion that the Alpha blending was broken is by making my vertex shader output every point to the same screen location and then setting the pixel shader to always output a value of float4(0.5) for that pixel. Invariably, the end color (dumped afterwards) ends up being float4(0.5). The confusing part is that as far as I can tell, everything is properly set for alpha blending to occur. The cgfx pass has the two following state assignments (among others - I'll put a full listing at the end): BlendEnable = true; BlendFunc = int2(One, One); This ought to be enough, since I am calling cgSetPassState() - and indeed, when I use glGets to check the values of GL_BLEND_SRC, GL_BLEND_DEST, GL_BLEND, and GL_BLEND_EQUATION they all look appropriate (GL_ONE, GL_ONE, GL_TRUE, and GL_FUNC_ADD). This check was done immediately after the draw call. I've been looking around to see if there's anything other than blending being enabled and the blending function being correctly set that would cause alpha blending not to occur, but without any luck. I considered that I could be doing something wrong with GL, but GL is telling me that blending is enabled. I doubt it's cgFX related (as otherwise the GL state wouldn't even be thinking it was enabled) but it still fails if I explicitly use GL calls to set the blend mode and enable it. Here's the trimmed down code for starting the cgfx pass and the draw call: CGtechnique renderTechnique = Filter->curTechnique; TEXUNITCHECK; CGpass pass = cgGetFirstPass(renderTechnique); TEXUNITCHECK; while (pass) { cgSetPassState(pass); cgUpdatePassParameters(pass); //drawFSPointQuadBuff((void*)PointQuad); drawFSPointQuadBuff((void*)LumPointBuffer); TEXUNITCHECK; cgResetPassState(pass); pass = cgGetNextPass(pass); }; and the function with the draw call: void drawFSPointQuadBuff(void* args) { PointBuffer* pointBuffer = (PointBuffer*)args; FBOERRCHECK; glClear(GL_COLOR_BUFFER_BIT); GLERRCHECK; glPointSize(1.0); GLERRCHECK; glEnableClientState(GL_VERTEX_ARRAY); GLERRCHECK; glEnable(GL_POINT_SMOOTH); if (pointBuffer-BufferObject) { glBindBufferARB(GL_ARRAY_BUFFER_ARB, (unsigned int)pointBuffer-BufData); glVertexPointer(pointBuffer-numComp, GL_FLOAT, 0, 0); } else { glVertexPointer(pointBuffer-numComp, GL_FLOAT, 0, pointBuffer-BufData); }; GLERRCHECK; glDrawArrays(GL_POINTS, 0, pointBuffer-numElem); GLboolean testBool; glGetBooleanv(GL_BLEND, &testBool); int iblendColor, iblendDest, iblendEquation, iblendSrc; glGetIntegerv(GL_BLEND_SRC, &iblendSrc); glGetIntegerv(GL_BLEND_DST, &iblendDest); glGetIntegerv(GL_BLEND_EQUATION, &iblendEquation); if (iblendEquation == GL_FUNC_ADD) { cerr << "Correct func" << endl; }; GLERRCHECK; if (pointBuffer-BufferObject) { glBindBufferARB(GL_ARRAY_BUFFER_ARB,0); } GLERRCHECK; glDisableClientState(GL_VERTEX_ARRAY); GLERRCHECK; }; Finally, here is the full state setting of the shader: AlphaTestEnable = false; DepthTestEnable = false; DepthMask = false; ColorMask = true; CullFaceEnable = false; BlendEnable = true; BlendFunc = int2(One, One); FragmentProgram = compile glslf std_PS(); VertexProgram = compile glslv bilatGridVS2();
