  • apache mod_rewrite regex problem with multiple parameter

    Regular expressions have always been my pet peeves. Every time I think that I finally got it I have a new problem ! I want to catch url like this : http://www.mydomain.com/boutique/blabla-1/bla-bla2/99/104 http://www.mydomain.com/boutique/blabla1/99 and eventually : http://www.mydomain.com/boutique/blabla-1/bla-bla2/product1/99/104/55/ after a lot of tries and errors I came up with this which seems to work with http://www.gskinner.com/RegExr/ but not in apache ^.*/boutique/([a-zA-Z-]*)(/?[a-zA-Z-]*)/?([0-9]*)/?([0-9]*)/?$ boutique.php?c1=$3&c2=$4 (I was only working with the first two url so far) MY apache rewrite log debug files are helpless : pass through /Users/iko/Sites/mysite/boutique.php I'm only interrested in getting the ids. Any help we'll be welcomed ! Thank you.

    Hi Guys, I have a site on A.com and an iframe on B.com which calls javascript from A.com. This works great in FF. In IE7 / 8 I am getting a Message: Access is denied. message. I have checked the HTTP Traffic via Fiddler - and I can see that it isn't blocked in Fiddler ? Any ideas what could be causing this and how to solve ?

    Hi all, This one has got me stumped. I'm deploying a Rails 3 app to Slicehost running Apache 2 and Passenger. My server is running Ruby 1.9.1 using RVM. I am receiving a permission denied error on the "public" folder in my app. My Virtual Host is setup as follows: <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName sharerplane.com ServerAlias www.sharerplane.com ServerAlias *.sharerplane.com DocumentRoot /home/robinjfisher/public_html/sharerplane.com/current/public/ <Directory "/home/robinjfisher/public_html/sharerplane.com/public/"> AllowOverride all Options -MultiViews Order allow,deny Allow from all </Directory> PassengerDefaultUser robinjfisher </VirtualHost> I've tried the following things: trailing slash on public; no trailing slash on public; PassengerUserSwitching on and off; PassengerDefaultUser set and not set; with and without the block. The public folder is owned by robinjfisher:www-data and Passenger is running as robinjfisher so I can't see why there are permission issues. Does anybody have any thoughts? Thanks Robin PS. Have disabled the site for the time being to avoid indexing so what is there currently is not the site in question.

  • Nginx & Apache Cannot get try_files to work with permalinks

    Hi, i'm deploying a ror application and now i have to rewrite the url (in apache) to add a prefix www to the url add / to the end of the url So i took the following approach: RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^/[^\.]+[^/]$ RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://%{HTTP_HOST}/$1/ [R=301,L] RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^foo\.com RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.foo.com/$1 [R=301,L] The problem is that it is appending two trailing slash to my url So for example a resource /question/ask are becoming: http://foo.com//question/ask I tried to add the following Rule before all my Rewrite rules to try to remove the double //: RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^// RewriteRule ([^/]*)/+(.*) http://www.foo.com/$1/$2 [R=301,L] but it didnt work.. any idea to rip off all extras "//" added to the url?

    Hello all, I'm trying to use youtube's api to bring back a listing of a user's videos. The request url looks something like: http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/users/username/uploads with 'username' being the correct username. This bring back the appropriate url in the browser.     I just requested a hotfix from support.microsoft.com and put in my email address, but I haven't received the email yet. The splash page I got after I requested the hotfix said: Hotfix Confirmation We will send these hotfixes to the following e-mail address: (my correct email address) Usually, our hotfix e-mail is delivered to you within five minutes. However, sometimes unforeseen issues in e-mail delivery systems may cause delays. We will send the e-mail from the “[email protected]” e-mail account. If you use an e-mail filter or a SPAM blocker, we recommend that you add “[email protected]” or the “microsoft.com” domain to your safe senders list. (The safe senders list is also known as a whitelist or an approved senders list.) This will help prevent our e-mail from going into your junk e-mail folder or being automatically deleted. I'm sure that the email is not getting caught in a spam catcher. How long does it normally take to get one of these hotfixes? Am I waiting for some human to approve it, or something? Should I just give up and try to get the file I need some other way? (Update: Replaced "me@mycompany.com" with "(my correct email address)" to resolve Martín Marconcini's ambiguity.)

    Typing out the title to this leads me to believe this might not be possible due to security concerns, but I will ask anyway. I have shortcode support running on my server, lets call it xx.yy I want it so when a user sends a request to xx.yy, it just changes the displayed host to another valid domain running on the same box. I have this so far (lets the server know to accept requests from xx.yy): RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^.*xx.yy [NC] RewriteRule ^/(.*)$ http://127.0.0.1:<PORT_OMITTED>%{REQUEST_URI} [P,QSA,L] RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^.*mysite.com [NC] RewriteRule ^/(.*)$ http://127.0.0.1:<PORT_OMITTED>%{REQUEST_URI} [P,QSA,L] It works, and it directs the traffic into my app, but the url says http://xx.yy when I would rather it say http://mysite.com I know i could redirect to http://mysite.com instead of 127.0.0.1, but I have 4 parallel boxes of mysite.com and going back out to DNS to maybe go to another box seems like a waste when I am already here. Also, I am not sure how POST requests would work like that. What can I do?

  • How can I access a parent DOM from an iframe on a different domain?

    I have a website and my domain is registered through Network Solutions. I'm using their Web Forwarding feature which allows me to "mask" my domain so that when a user visits http://lucasmccoy.com they are actually seeing http://lucasmccoy.comlu.com/ through an HTML frame. The advantages of this are that the address bar still shows http://lucasmccoy.com/. The disadvantages are that I cannot directly edit the HTML page in which the frame is owned. For example, I cannot change the page title or favicon. I have tried doing it like so: $(function() { parent.document.title = 'Lucas McCoy'; }); But of course this gives me a JavaScript error: Unsafe JavaScript attempt to access frame with URL http://lucasmccoy.com/ from frame with URL http://lucasmccoy.comlu.com/. Domains, protocols and ports must match. I looked at this question attempting to do the same thing except the OP has access to the other pages HTML whereas I do not. Is there anyway in JavaScript/jQuery to make a cross-domain request to the DOM when you don't have access to that domain? Or is this something browsers just will not let happen for security reasons.
