  • remove ViewController from memory

    - by user262325
    hello everyone I hope to load an ViewController and do something then unload it from memory. if (self.vViewController5.view.superview==nil) { ViewController5 *blueController = [[ViewController5 alloc] initWithNibName:@"View5" bundle:nil]; self.vViewController5 = blueController; [self.vViewController5 setDelegate:self]; [blueController release]; } [self presentModalViewController:vViewController5 animated:YES]; later, call [self dismissModalViewControllerAnimated:YES]; but I found that dismissModalViewControllerAnimated does not trigger the event viewDidUnload of Viewcontroller5. I try function release but it caused program collapse. I also try removeFromSuperView but it does not trigger the event ViewDidUnload neither. Welcome any comment Thanks interdev

  • adding options to IKSaveOptions?

    - by Brian Postow
    I have an ImageKit program that needs to be able to save images, so I'm using the IKSaveOptions accessory view, to allow the user to choose a file type, etc. However, I want to remove some of the options, and add a checkbox to the panel for TIFFs. Alternatively, I want to add a type of file. However I can't figure out how to do this. I assume I'm going to have to subclass off of IKSaveOptions and over-ride something, but I can't find any sample code or documentation that tells me how to do this. ETA: In particular, I need to be able to allow the user to distinguish between multi-page tiff, and a bunch of single-page tiffs with a page-number appended.

  • Firewall will not play ball

    - by Jason94
    I'm running SQL Server 2008 Express on a windows 2012... or at least I'm trying to :) My problem is that I have opened the ports I thought I needed but still I cant manage to connect to the database from Visual Studio. As proof I have a screenshot of my firewall settings: Everything works fine if I turn the firewall off, but who wants that while connected to the internet? So I wonder what the heck is wrong? Is that some arbitrary ports that gets blocked? Is that a feature on the server (maybe its the same for 2008?) Large image: http://bildr.no/view/1280743

  • what is order notation f(n)=O(g(n))?

    - by Lopa
    2 questions: question 1: under what circumstances would this[O(f(n))=O(k.f(n))] be the most appropriate form of time-complexity analysis? question 2: working from mathematical definition of O notation, show that O(f(n))=O(k.f(n)), for positive constant k.? My view: For the first one I think it is average case and worst case form of time-complexity. am i right? and what else do i write in that? for the second one I think we need to define the function mathematically, so is the answer something like because the multiplication by a constant just corresponds to a readjustment of value of the arbitrary constant 'k' in definition of O.

When an option is selected an submit button clicked, it reroutes you to a new page. so lets say the page lives on http://domain.com/landingPage i'm on: http://domain.com/landingPage i select option and submit takes me to http://domain.com/landingPage/Projects/FramedPage i select again and now the post tries to go to: http://domain.com/landingPage/Projects/landingPage/Projects/FramedPage because of the action="" i have set on the form tag. Any ideas on how to go about this? MasterPage: <form method="get" action="landingPage/Projects/FramedPage"> <%= Html.DropDownList("navigationList")%> <input id="navSubmitBtn" class="btnBlue" type="submit" value="Take Me There" /> </form> Projects Controller public ActionResult FramedPage(string navigationList) { ViewData["navLink"] = navigationList; return View(); } The problem i am having is that if I am ON that page

I have tried the following: -(void) ccTouchesBegan:(UITouch *)touch withEvent:(UIEvent *)event { CGPoint location = [touch locationInView:touch.view]; if ((location.x <= L1Circle1.position.x + 32 && location.x >= L1Circle2.position.x - 32) && (location.y <= L1Circle1.position.y + 32 || location.y >= L1Circle2.position.y - 32)) { L1Circle1.position = ccp(location.x, location.y); } } But, when I touch the screen in the simulator nothing happens... What am I doing wrong?

  • How to add star rating to UITableView cell?

    - by RaYell
    I need to display a bunch of UITableViewCell in my iPhone application. Sample look below. I know how I can enable accessory view and image to UITableView cell but the problem is that I need to add a star rating as visible on the screen. There's no fancy logic behind it, it will just be few images that will be either enabled or disabled. I though that I could create a custom UITableViewCell in NIB but how would I use it in cellForRowAtIndexPath method. If it was just one custom cell I'd just provide an outlet for it and hook it with a property and use it there. But since it would be used multiple times I think I'll need to clone it or copy somehow. What is the simpliest way of adding such stuff to UITableViewCell?

  • help me pick the right iPhone audio class - MPMoviePlayer vs AVAudioPlayer vs MPMusicPlayer

    - by huevos de oro
    Does anyone know of a good tutorial on the distinction between the MPMoviePlayer vs AVAudioPlayer vs MPMusicPlayer? I want to play audio from an mp3 file available at an external URL. Ideally it is played in an iPod-like audio view. I toyed with MPMoviePlayer but it appears to be more suitable for video, as when audio starts a "movie playing" message displays, the controls disappear and a white quicktime splash page displays. I would like the standard ipod audio controls to display all the time, and to customize the image behind them.

    Hi Guys, I am using "malsups" jQuery corner plugin - http://jquery.malsup.com/corner/ - and having a bit of nightmare of a time with IE. Basically I have <ol><li> <span class="main"> <span class="test1"></span> <span class="test2"></span> <span class="test3"> <span id="test4"></span> <span id="special" class="special"> <span class="test4">TEXT</span> </span> </span> </li></ol> Basically, in IE when I try and make the id="special" have rounded corners - i get a distorted view. I think its something related to problems with referencing li elements using jQuery('#special').corner('5px'); Could anyone help :) ?

The function works fine when calling it from phpPgAdmin, however whan I call it from PHP I get the following error: Warning: pg_query() [function.pg-query]: Query failed: ERROR: type "session_ids" does not exist CONTEXT: compile of PL/pgSQL function "user_login" near line 2 in /home/sites/blah.com/index.php on line 69 The DECLARE section of the function contains the following variables: oldSessionId session_ids := $1; newSessionId session_ids := $2; The domain session_ids DOES exist, and other functions which use the same domain work when called from the same script. The PHP is as follows: $query = "SELECT * FROM $dbschema.user_login('$session_old'::TEXT, '$session'::TEXT)"; $result = pg_query($login, $query); I have also tried this using ::session_ids in place of ::TEXT when calling the function, however I recieve the same error. • Updating a TableView with a WebService and Saving to CoreData

    - by jcady
    I am working on a project where I have a table view that is currently updated via a web request that returns XML. I implemented -(int)numberOfRowsInTableView:(NSTableView*)tv and -(id)tableView:(NSTableView *)tv objectValueForTableColumn:(NSTableColumn*)tableColumn row:(int)row in my XML parsing class, and have the table updated with the data that is pulled down from the server. I want to save the data that is pulled down using Core Data, so that the table can be saved/loaded. Then later on application start when the web request is made, it will only add data that is not already present. (The XML is sorted by release date, so later I will check to see which release dates are not loaded up from the Core Data store, and only load newer entries.) How would I go about implementing this? I am a very new Cocoa developer, but have gone through the entire Hillegass book. Thanks so much.

FrameLayout add OnTouchListener and forward. but it doesn't work myFrame.setOnTouchListener(new OnTouchListener() { @Override public boolean onTouch(View v, MotionEvent event) { zomeImageMoveable.onTouchEvent(event); zomeImageFixed.onTouchEvent(event); return false; } }); how do i have to do? thanks for reading.

  • Android simple question

    - by Josemalive
    Hi, I have an android application that shows a grid view that shows: 1 2 3 4 GridView gridview=(GridView)findViewById(R.id.GridView_test); DataBaseHelper dbhelper=new DataBaseHelper(this); ArrayList<String> test=new ArrayList<String>(5); backlinksadapter.add("1"); backlinksadapter.add("2"); backlinksadapter.add("3"); backlinksadapter.add("4"); ArrayAdapter mAdapter=new ArrayAdapter<String>(this, android.R.layout.simple_list_item_1, test); gridview.setAdapter(mAdapter); By the moment is working, but i would like to show foreach line of the grid, 2 columns with the values of a 2 dimensional array (something like the GridView in ASP.Net - as datasource -). I would like to show: 1 | Person 1 2 | Person 2 3 | Person 3 4 | Person 4 Any idea? Thanks in advance. Jose.

  • Monotouch Example for QuickLook PDF

    - by nbonwit
    I am looking for a bare-bones pdf viewer example using the QuickLook Monotouch API. I have searched and have found bits and pieces but just can't seem to get it all integrated. I will be reading the pdf from a file pre-saved to the Personal folder on the iPad and would like to show the pdf as a modal view. If someone could post a bare-bones example, that would be much appreciated. What I have so far is below. Thanks! path = Environment.GetFolderPath(Environment.SpecialFolder.Personal); pdfPath = System.IO.Path.Combine(path, "pdfReport.pdf"); QLPreviewController myPdfController = new QLPreviewController(); MyPdf pdfToShow = new MyPdf("", new Uri("")); // Not sure about this line myPdfController.DataSource = pdfPath; // Not sure what this line should be PresentModalViewController(myPdfController, true);

  • Generate links for routes with non-parameter url segments on ASP.NET MVC 2

    - by spapaseit
    I have a route defined with several hardcoded (non-parameter) segments: routes.MapRoute(null, "suggestion/list/by/{tag}", new { controller = "Suggestion", action = "List", tag = UrlParameter.Optional }); Suppose I'm in the Index view of SuggestionController, which has a Suggestion object for Model, how can I create a link that matches that route? I'd rather use one of the provided helpers and keep the route name as null in order to avoid hard-coding to much on my views, but I can't figure out how to user these non-parameter segments in Html.ActionLink or RouteLink methods. I've even tried to render the link using plain ol' html <a href="/suggestion/list/by/<%=Model.Tag %>"><%=Model.Tag %></a> but this somehow didn't match the route either. There's probably a very simple solution and I might be over-complicating things in mi mind, but I'm at a loss. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

  • Print ms access data in vb.net

    - by user225269
    How do I print the ms access data(.mdb) in vb.net? Here is the code that I'm using to view the data in the form. What I want to do is to be able to print what is currently being viewed. Perhaps automatically save the .pdf file and the pdf viewer installed on the system will open that newly generated pdf file Dim cn As New OleDbConnection("Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=C:\search.mdb") Dim cmd As OleDbCommand = New OleDbCommand("Select * from GH where NAME= '" & TextBox6.Text & "' ", cn) cn.Open() Dim rdr As OleDbDataReader rdr = cmd.ExecuteReader If rdr.HasRows Then rdr.Read() NoAcc = rdr("NAME") If (TextBox6.Text = NoAcc) Then TextBox1.Text = rdr("IDNUMBER") If (TextBox6.Text = NoAcc) Then TextBox7.Text = rdr("DEPARTMENT") If (TextBox6.Text = NoAcc) Then TextBox8.Text = rdr("COURSE") End If -some sites for beginners regarding this topic would help a lot:)

So excuse any "ugly-ish" unclean code. This was made just on a fly run through when I was trying new test cases.
