  • Getting an array back from php using $.ajax

    A php script is giving this array (which has been passed through json_encode()) [{name:"a1",path:"b1"},{name:"a2",path:"b2"}] I use the following function to retrieve the array to jquery: $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "functions.php", data: "action=" + something, cache: false, success: function(response) { alert(response); } }); The problem is I get the array back as a string: (new String("[{name:"a1",path:"b1"},{name:"a2",path:"b2"}}]")) How can I get it to be a javascript array? Help would be much appreciated.

In 'plugins/sfDoctrineGuardPlugin/config/doctrine/schema.yml': sfGuardUser: actAs: [Timestampable] columns: id: type: integer(4) primary: true autoincrement: true username: type: string(128) notnull: true unique: true #... And in 'config/doctrine/schema.yml': sfGuardUser: columns: username: type: string(128) notnull: false unique: true Then "build-all-reload" but it doesn't change.. Any idea? Javi

    Ok so I have a website and I would like to stop users from being able to change things on it using GreaseMonkey extensions, etc. Therefore I am trying to use jQuery or any kind of Javascript to get the source of the page after like 5 seconds. I know how to make it wait 5 seconds using Javascript and all, but how do I get the entire source of the page and send it to my server using POST? How can this be done?

  • jquery event listening, non-standard events

    I'm attempting to build a way for my selectors to 'listen' to 'global' events that are beyond the typical 'click' 'change' 'submit' etc. I've explored the various 'eventmanagers' that I could find, and they're all still designed for forms. Is there any way to do something like this for non-standard (i.e. custom) events? The goal is to have selectors subscribe to an event, and then be able to trigger it in one place and it will raise it for everything subscribed to it.
