  • Running Django Python on IIS 6

    - by nickcartwright
Hiya, I'm having trouble running Django on IIS 6 and was hoping someone could help! I've followed this guide exactly a number of times: http://code.djangoproject.com/wiki/DjangoOnWindowsWithIISAndSQLServer However, when I try and view my site I always get the same message: "The specified module could not be found." Has anyone else had this problem? Does any one know the steps to fix? Thanks!

  • python mysqldb string formatting

    - by Daniel
How do I do this correctly: I want to do a query like this: query = """SELECT * FROM sometable order by %s %s limit %s, %s;""" conn = app_globals.pool.connection() cur = conn.cursor() cur.execute(query, (sortname, sortorder, limit1, limit2) ) results = cur.fetchall() All works fine but the order by %s %s is not putting the strings in correctly. It is putting the two substitutions in with quotes around them. So it ends up like: ORDER BY 'somecol' 'DESC' Which is wrong should be: ORDER BY somecol DESC Any help greatly appreciated!

  • Natural Language parsing of an appointment?

    - by Mike Hugo
I'm looking for a Java library to help parse user entered text that represents an 'appointment' for a calendar application. For instance: Lunch with Mike at 11:30 on Tuesday or 5pm Happy hour on Friday I've found some promising leads like https://jchronic.dev.java.net/ and http://www.datejs.com/ which can parse dates - but I also need to be able to extract the title of the event like "Lunch with Mike". If such an API doesn't exist, I'm also interested in any thoughts on how best to approach the problem from a coding perspective.

  • jquery horizontal scroll with mousewheel

    - by steve
I currently have a site that is a sidescroller (http://www.studioimbrue.com) and I'm trying to bind a mousewheel to scroll sideways. Currently I'm using the one found at thehorizontalway.com (called thw.js) but it doesn't seem to work in all browsers (Chrome). I'm trying to get this one to work: http://brandonaaron.net/code/mousewheel/docs , to simply scroll the whole window, nothing else. There is very limited documentation so I can't figure it out. Any help is appreciated.
