  • uncaught exception: Syntax error, unrecognized expression

    - by coffeeaddict
I am getting uncaught exception: Syntax error, unrecognized expression: [@name='rbRewSelectionGroup'] when I load the page: <script language="javascript"> $("input[@name='rbRewSelectionGroup']").click(function() { $(this).closest("form").submit(); }); </script> I am not seeing it. I do not see anything wrong with this code at all. I do have the jQuery (1.4.2) library loaded with the page.

I am working on a light weight Java client library for Android mobile platform that can read and write to Excel files in .xls(BIFF) and Office 2003 XML format. No sooner we decided to start than we got stuck with a basic question. How do we determine the format of the excel files in Java? Please help. Thanks.

  • Simple string pattern matching

    - by Joonas Trussmann
What's the easiest way of doing simple pattern matching a la .something.com something.com/ something.com/somefolder/*.jpg in the iPhone SDK? At this point it looks like I'm going to have to use a regular expression library of some sort, which is really overkill when all I need is simple wildcard matching. None of the standard NSString methods seem to be available on the iPhone.

  • A question about John Resig's Simple Javascript Inheritance.

    - by Zippo
I'm using this simple code: http://ejohn.org/blog/simple-javascript-inheritance/ Using this "library", I made this simple class: var Person = Class.extend({ init: function(openningSentence) { this.say(openningSentence); }, say: function(words) { alert(words); } }); The problem with this class, is that I can't call a function using the variable "this" (line 3 in the code gives an error: unknown method "say"). Does anybody knoes if there's a solution for this problem? Btw - I'm using jquery, so if there's a jquery-based solution It'll be great :)

  • Implementing a recently used or favorites dropdown in JComboBox

    - by Kevin Day
I am looking for code that will add favorites / MRU type behavior to a JComboBox. I could code this myself, but it sure seems like someone else has probably already done it. I found the following (which looks exactly like what I want, but the source code is nowhere near complete): http://java.sys-con.com/node/36658 Any suggestions? I need to keep this relatively light, so I'd prefer to not use a component that's part of a monolithic widget library, and open source is preferred.

  • Switch from Microsofts STL to STLport

    - by Laserallan
Hi! I'm using quite much STL in performance critical C++ code under windows. One possible "cheap" way to get some extra performance would be to change to a faster STL library. According to this post STLport is faster and uses less memory, however it's a few years old. Has anyone made this change recently and what were your results?

  • midi input in python

    - by Nicola Montecchio
Hello I'm coding a demo in python and I need to read a MIDI file in python (no real-time stuff is needed). In particular, I'm looking for a library which preserves channel information. The most promising libraries I found are: http://code.google.com/p/midiutil/ http://www.mxm.dk/products/public/pythonmidi Any experience with those? Thanks a lot Nicola Montecchio

  • Parser generator for JavaME

    - by Anders K.
First: I have looked at this SO question but unfortunately there is no mention of JavaME I am looking for a parser/lexer generator that produces code that can run on the Blackberry and its (obnoxious) JavaME. E.g. at first I thought I could use ANTLR however it seems the run-time library is not compatible with JavaME TIA

  • Equivalent of libwww-perl in .NET or Java

    - by voidvector
I have written a crawler in Perl awhile back and it was super simple giving the high-level capability of libwww-perl. It is so straight forward in fact, it can take the raw HTML response of one request, and create the next HTTP request for you from the FORMs on that page (as in it will parse the HTML for you). Does anyone know any library like this on .NET or Java? Selenium is out of question because it requires the browser to be open, which we cannot accommodate in our implementation)

  • mingw 3.4.5 missing dlfcn.h?

    - by lurscher
Hi, is it possible that my mingw 3.4.5 installation is faulty? or is this provided on some other library floating around? in case you are wondering, dlfcn.h is where stuff like dlopen and dlclose are defined, so it should be pretty standard

  • Placing custom code in a System namespace

    - by David Brown
Are there any best-practices that state custom code shouldn't be placed in a System namespace? Should System and its children be reserved for Microsoft code? I ask because I'm writing a class library that will be used across many projects and I'd like to keep things consistent by placing it in System.InteropServices (since it deals with P/Invoke).
