  • Is there a boolean literal in SQLite?

    I know about the boolean column type, but is there a boolean literal in SQLite? In other languages, this might be true or false. Obviously, I can use 0 and 1, but I tend to avoid so-called "magic numbers" where possible. From this list, it seems like it might exist in other SQL implementations, but not SQLite. (I'm using SQLite 3.6.10, for what it's worth.)

    Hi I have a question regarding JPA persistence in Glassfish. Situation: I have a Supplier class that has a 1:n bidirectional relation to SupplierAddress. I would like to have the following behaviour: If I remove the SupplierAddress object from the List in the Supplier object and update it via the merge(supplierobject), the SupplierAddress tupel/object should be deleted. Is there an annotation do configure it like this or do I have to delete it manually. Any help would be very appreciated. Greetings Marcel

  • Unknown address suggestion

    Usually when you try to add a marker to an unknown/ambiguous address you just get an error from the api. It would be much nicer if i could display a list of suggestions related to the address that was not found. The Google maps site has this feature but i do not know how to do with the api. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Migrating svn repo with non-flat branch hierarchy to mercurial

    Is there a conversion utility from svn to hg that can deal with a branch hierarchy that's more complex than just a flat list of branches under /branches? My repository has a directory that looks (conceptually) like this: /branches /projectA /v1.x /v1.1 /v1.2 etc.. IOW I need a tool that can get a tree structure as input that represents the branch hierarchy, and migrate this into hg (could be flat in HG, don't really care).

    Every so often on here I see someone's code and what looks to be a 'one-liner', that being a one line statement that performs in the standard way a traditional 'if' statement or 'for' loop works. I've googled around and can't really find what kind of ones you can perform? Can anyone advise and preferably give some examples? I was spending more time on seting up the data than to write my unit test.     Hi, I have two tables: Contact (id,name) Link (id, contact_id, source_id) I have the following query which works that returns the contacts with the source_id of 8 in the Link table. SELECT name FROM `Contact` LEFT JOIN Link ON Link.contact_id = Contact.id WHERE Link.source_id=8; However I am a little stumped on how to return a list of all the contacts which are NOT associated with source_id of 8. A simple != will not work as contacts without any links are not returned. Thanks.

    Hi there! In my project I am using NHibernate/FluentNHibernate, and I am working with two entities, contracts and services. Id { get; set; } // other properties here public virtual Activity.Models.TTLCContract Contract { get; set; } // implementation of Equals // and GetHashCode here } Ok, so as you can see, I want my contract object to have many services, and each Service needs to have a reference to the parent Contract. I am using FluentNhibernate. So my mappings file are the following: public TTLCContractMapping() { Table("tab_tlc_contracts"); Id(x => x.Id, "tlc_contract_id"); HasMany(x => x.Services) .Inverse() .Cascade.All() .KeyColumn("tlc_contract_id") .AsSet(); } and public TTLCServiceMapping() { Table("tab_tlc_services"); Id(x => x.Id, "tlc_service_id"); References(x => x.Contract) .Not.Nullable() .Column("tlc_contract_id"); } and here comes my problem: if I retrieve the list of all contracts in the db, it works. if I retrieve the list of all services in a given contract, I get a StackOverflowException.... Do you see anything wrong with what I wrote? Have I made any mistake? Please let me know if you need any additional information. Oh yes, I missed to say... looking at the stacktrace I see the system is loading all the services and then it is loading again the contracts related to those services. For example Id |Name |Email address 100001|Joe |[email protected] 100 |Christine|[email protected] 1001 |John |[email protected] the Id column takes just enough space to accommodate the 100001 id which is the longest id, and the Name column takes just enough space to accommodate the name Christine. I'm using the animate() function already, so that isn't staving off the additional animation requests. Any way to program around this?
