• 'Error serializing body'. Problem calling Fedex webservice through .NET 3.5

  I'm using Fedex's web services and getting an annoying error right up front before I can actually get anywhere. There was an error in serializing body of message addressValidationRequest1: 'Unable to generate a temporary class (result=1). error CS0030: Cannot convert type 'FedEx.InterOp.AddressValidationServiceReference.ParsedElement[]' to 'FedEx.InterOp.AddressValidationServiceReference.ParsedElement' error CS0029: Cannot implicitly convert type 'FedEx.InterOp.AddressValidationServiceReference.ParsedElement' to 'FedEx.InterOp.AddressValidationServiceReference.ParsedElement[]' '. Please see InnerException for more details. I'm using .NET 3.5 and get a horrible named class generated for me (I'm not sure why it isn't just AddressValidationService): AddressValidationPortTypeClient addressValidationService = new ...; on this class I make my web service call: addressValidationService.addressValidation(request); This is when I get this error. The only references I can find to this error come from ancient 1.1 projects. In my case my DLL has references to System.Web and System.Web.Services which seemed to be an issue back then.

  Hi Guys, I have a problem with the jquery-ui dialog box. The problem is that when I close the dialog box and then I click on the link that triggers it, it does not pop-up again unless I refresh the page. How can I call the dialog box back without refreshing the actual page. • iPhone - Get a pointer to the data behind CGDataProvider?

  I'm trying to take a CGImage and copy its data into a buffer for later processing. The code below is what I have so far, but there's one thing I don't like about it - it's copying the image data twice. Once for CGDataProviderCopyData() and once for the :getBytes:length call on imgData. I haven't been able to find a way to copy the image data directly into my buffer and cut out the CGDataProviderCopyData() step, but there has to be a way...any pointers? • Use of COM object in IIS 7

  Hi all, I am currently moving an ASP.NET web-project from an IIS 6 to a IIS 7 hosting environment. Everything seems to be running OK, except my calls to a COM object. I can perfectly instantiate an object of the COM type, but when I call one of its methods, the IIS crashes. The event log reports an error code "0xc0000374", which indicates a heap corruption. When I run the application inside the visual studio development server, everything goes well and the COM object code gets executed without any errors. This is also the case when the application is hosted on an IIS 6 machine. I have looked through all settings of the IIS 7 and have not found anything configurable for COM objects, like security or ... I have been struggling with this for a while and I'm out of ideas. Does anyone have any experience deploying COM objects on IIS 7? Your help would be very appreciated!

  Consider a simple result set from a mysql query. rs("description") and rs("description").Value should be considered as the same thing. However, depending on how you access them, you get different results (!!) Access rs("description") directly and you are returned a "Field" object. Or, more importantly, use it directly in a call, and you are returned a "Field" object. mydescription = rs("description") + " is the description" Assign it to another variable, and the Value of that object is assigned... mydescription = rs("description") the contents of "mydescription" is a string. Why this difference? At one point in the life of ASP they must have both worked exactly the same, so why have they changed, and how can I change it back?

• How do i use RVM w/ Hudson CI server on Debian?

  I'm trying to setup an automated "build" server for my rails projects using Hudson CI. SO far it's able to run specs and do metrics on the code but I have 2 different projects dependent on 2 different versions of ruby. So i'm trying to use RVM to run multiple copies of ruby then switch back and forth in a pre-build step. I found a couple posts like this one that try and explain how to make this work, but I'm not running a startup script for hudson, it starts on boot which is how it worked out of the box when i installed it via the debian instructions. The problem seems to be that even though hudson runs under the "hudson" account and that account has rvm installed (and working) when it tries to run a shell based prebuild step to call rvm switch 1.8.7 it fails with the error "rvm: command not found" Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Hudson is using SH as its shell but i also tried using bash. no luck. Has anyone gotten this working before in this setup?

  How can I efficiently retrieve a list of channels that a Vimeo video is listed in from the Advanced Vimeo API? The Advanced Vimeo API provides the methods channels.addVideo and channels.removeVideo for managing the channels a video belongs to. Also, the channels.getVideos method is provided for retrieving the list of videos belonging to a channel. However, there is no videos.getChannels method. This means that in order to find all the channels a video is included in one would need to call channels.getVideos (possibly more than once if the channel has more than 50 videos) for each channel of interest. This seems terribly inefficient.

  My MacBook Pro runs slower the longer it's on. I am getting kernel warnings. Some, but not all, resets correlate with AC power connects and disconnects. I don't think the warnings do. (How do I tell?) What are these errors? What causes them? Can this damage the drive or corrupt data?   Hi, I have to release my Adobe Air application but the build process was "setup" by a different developer. (He made a self signed cert and wrote a batch file to call adt for packaging the application). Adobe mentions that such self signed certificates are valid for 5 years. Now I have no idea when that certificate will expire as I don't know when it was created. Also will my installed application stop working on expiry or only new installations will fail ? Thanks.

  I am using jquery UI accordion control in one of my apps asp.net apps. The data for the accordion comes from a database, and each database record has an ID, a Title Field and a content field. The title is the heading, and the content is the data that shows up when the draw is opened... I'd like to be able to call my page like this: http://www.mywebsite.com/mypage.aspx?ID=123 and have it display all the data (as it does now), but then have the default 'drawer' of the accordion open to the section that corresponds to the ID number passed in on the url...there are about 50 sections on the page. Any suggestions on how to approach this? My questions is specific to the jquery accordion function, the rest I know. So where would be the best place to 'tag' the drawer with the unique ID's, and then what is the snippet of javascript code (I assume) that I would use 'open' that drawer based on the ID passed in?? • Trying to execute netdom.exe from a ruby script or IRB does nothing

  I'm trying to write a script that will rename a computer and join it to a domain, and was planning to call on netdom.exe to do the dirty work. However, trying to run this utility in the script (same results in irb) does absolutely nothing. No output, no execution. I tried with backticks and with the system() method. System() returns false for everything but system("netdom") (which returns true). Backticks never return anything but an empty string. I have verified that netdom runs and works in the environment the script will be running in, and I'm calling other command-line utilities earlier in the script that work (w32tm, getmac, ping). Here's the exact line that gets executed: `netdom renamecomputer %COMPUTERNAME% /NewName:#{newname} /force` FYI, This is windows 7 x64

  I'd like to do something like this: SELECT table.id AS prefix_id, table.name AS prefix_name ... and have the prefix added dynamically to all field names rather than selecting them all manually (ie SELECT table.* AS prefix_* or something) Hopefully I've described that accurately. Any thoughts? Edit To be clear, the reason I'm asking is to make sure that my query result contains every column from each table I call even if there are duplicate field names. For example, I might have a table with lots of fields which means I don't want to alias all the fields manually. Further if 3 tables have a field called name my result won't contain three name results; it will have one. I want to avoid ambiguity with my column names.

  I have a doubt about socket programming. I am developing a TCP packet sniffer. I am using Socket.BeginAccept, Socket.BeginReceive to capture every packet, but when a packet is received I have to process something. It is a fast operation, but would take some milliseconds, and then call BeginReceive again. My question is, what would happen if some packets are sent while I am processing, and haven't called BeginReceive? Are packets lost, or are they buffered internally? Is there a limit?

However, I find myself unable to write a unit test that test the behavior of these attributes. As an example, this what I want the test for the ImportModelStateAttribute to do: Setup the filterContext so that TempData[myKey] contains some fake "exported" ModelState (that is, a ModelStateDictionary I create myself, and add one error to) Make ModelState contain one model error. Call OnActionExecuting. Verify the two dictionaries are merged, and ModelState now contains both errors. I'm at a loss already on the second step.
