• Huge EAR deployment

    - by bozo
Hello all, I'm trying to figure out how to deploy a huge (40-50 MB) EAR file to the server through a rather slow VPN connection. The EAR contains EJB and WAR projects created in Glassfish, and 90% of the file size is from external dependency libraries used. Has anyone came up with a strategy for elegant deployment to production system from Netbeans, where the deployment (over the network) is done only for what is really needed (i.e. just one WAR, not the entire EAR, or just one lib, not the entire libraries subproject). Related to the first point, how to separate external dependency libs from project in Netbeans, so that the project compiles on development machine, but when the EAR/WAR/EJB is created it does not contain all the dependency JARs, which are making it huge. Perhaps we need to write custom ant script? Start using maven? Thank you all for kind answers, Bozo

  • ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small with Oracle aggregate f

    - by Tunde
Good day gurus, I have a script that populates tables on a regular basis that crashed and gave the above error. The strange thing is that it has been running for close to 3 months on the production system with no problems and suddenly crashed last week. There has not been any changes on the tables as far as I know. Has anyone encountered something like this before? I believe it has something to do with the aggregate functions I'm implementing in it; but it worked initially. please; kindly find attached the part of the script I've developed into a procedure that I reckon gives the error. CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE V1 IS --DECLARE v_a VARCHAR2(4000); v_b VARCHAR2(4000); v_c VARCHAR2(4000); v_d VARCHAR2(4000); v_e VARCHAR2(4000); v_f VARCHAR2(4000); v_g VARCHAR2(4000); v_h VARCHAR2(4000); v_i VARCHAR2(4000); v_j VARCHAR2(4000); v_k VARCHAR2(4000); v_l VARCHAR2(4000); v_m VARCHAR2(4000); v_n NUMBER(10); v_o VARCHAR2(4000); -- -- Procedure that populates DEMO table BEGIN -- Delete all from the DEMO table DELETE FROM DEMO; -- Populate fields in DEMO from DEMOV1 INSERT INTO DEMO(ID, D_ID, CTR_ID, C_ID, DT_NAM, TP, BYR, ENY, ONG, SUMM, DTW, REV, LD, MD, STAT, CRD) SELECT ID, D_ID, CTR_ID, C_ID, DT_NAM, TP, TO_NUMBER(TO_CHAR(BYR,'YYYY')), TO_NUMBER(TO_CHAR(NVL(ENY,SYSDATE),'YYYY')), CASE WHEN ENY IS NULL THEN 'Y' ELSE 'N' END, SUMMARY, DTW, REV, LD, MD, '1', SYSDATE FROM DEMOV1; -- LOOP THROUGH DEMO TABLE FOR j IN (SELECT ID, CTR_ID, C_ID FROM DEMO) LOOP Select semic_concat(TXTDESC) INTO v_a From GEOT WHERE ID = j.ID; SELECT COUNT(*) INTO v_n FROM MERP M, PROJ P WHERE M.MID = P.COD AND ID = j.ID AND PROAC IS NULL; IF (v_n > 0) THEN Select semic_concat(PRO) INTO v_b FROM MERP M, PROJ P WHERE M.MID = P.COD AND ID = j.ID; ELSE Select semic_concat(PRO || '(' || PROAC || ')' ) INTO v_b FROM MERP M, PROJ P WHERE M.MID = P.COD AND ID = j.ID; END IF; Select semic_concat(VOCNAME('P02',COD)) INTO v_c From PAR WHERE ID = j.ID; Select semic_concat(VOCNAME('L05',COD)) INTO v_d From INST WHERE ID = j.ID; Select semic_concat(NVL(AUTHOR,'Anon') ||' ('||to_char(PUB,'YYYY')||') '||TITLE||', '||EDT) INTO v_e From REFE WHERE ID = j.ID; Select semic_concat(NAM) INTO v_f FROM EDM E, EDO EO WHERE E.EDMID = EO.EDOID AND ID = j.ID; Select semic_concat(VOCNAME('L08', COD)) INTO v_g FROM AVA WHERE ID = j.ID; SELECT or_concat(NAM) INTO v_o FROM CON WHERE ID = j.ID AND NAM = 'Unknown'; IF (v_o = 'Unknown') THEN Select or_concat(JOBTITLE || ' (' || EMAIL || ')') INTO v_h FROM CON WHERE ID = j.ID; ELSE Select or_concat(NAM || ' (' || EMAIL || ')') INTO v_h FROM CON WHERE ID = j.ID; END IF; Select commaencap_concat(COD) INTO v_i FROM PAR WHERE ID = j.ID; IF (v_i = ',') THEN v_i := null; ELSE Select commaencap_concat(COD) INTO v_i FROM PAR WHERE ID = j.ID; END IF; Select commaencap_concat(COD) INTO v_j FROM INST WHERE ID = j.ID; IF (v_j = ',') THEN v_j := null; ELSE Select commaencap_concat(COD) INTO v_j FROM INST WHERE ID = j.ID; END IF; Select commaencap_concat(COD) INTO v_k FROM SAR WHERE ID = j.ID; IF (v_k = ',') THEN v_k := null; ELSE Select commaencap_concat(COD) INTO v_k FROM SAR WHERE ID = j.ID; END IF; Select commaencap_concat(CONID) INTO v_l FROM CON WHERE ID = j.ID; IF (v_l = ',') THEN v_l := null; ELSE Select commaencap_concat(CONID) INTO v_l FROM CON WHERE ID = j.ID; END IF; Select commaencap_concat(PROID) INTO v_m FROM PRO WHERE ID = j.ID; IF (v_m = ',') THEN v_m := null; ELSE Select commaencap_concat(PROID) INTO v_m FROM PRO WHERE ID = j.ID; END IF; -- UPDATE DEMO TABLE UPDATE DEMO SET GEOC = v_a, PRO = v_b, PAR = v_c, INS = v_d, REFER = v_e, ORGR = v_f, AVAY = v_g, CON = v_h, DTH = v_i, INST = v_j, SA = v_k, CC = v_l, EDPR = v_m, CTR = (SELECT NAM FROM EDM WHERE EDMID = j.CTR_ID), COLL = (SELECT NAM FROM EDM WHERE EDMID = j.C_ID) WHERE ID = j.ID; END LOOP; END V1; / The aggregate functions, commaencap_concat (encapsulates with a comma), or_concat (concats with an or) and semic_concat(concats with a semi-colon). the remaining tables used are all linked to the main table DEMO. Many thanks for your anticipated support.

  • how does ` cat << EOF` work in bash?

    - by hasen j
I needed to write a script to enter multi-line input to a program (psql) After a big of googling, I found the following syntax works: cat << EOF | psql ---params BEGIN; `pg_dump ----something` update table .... statement ...; END; EOF This correctly concatenates all these strings and passes the result as an input to psql. but I have no idea how/why it works, can some one please explain? I'm referring mainly to cat << EOF, I know > outputs to a file, >> appends to a file, < reads input from file. What does << exactly do? And is there a man page for it?

  • How can I copy files with timestamps between 2 times and preserve the directory structure

    - by brushwood
I want to copy files that have timestamps from the time the script begins to run and a hour previous. So I am basically trying to emulate robocopy but with minage and maxage going down to the exact time rather than days. So far I have this in powershell: $now = Get-Date $previousHour = $now.AddHours(-1) "Copying files from $previousHour to $now" function DoCopy ($source, $destination) { $fileList = gci $source -Recurse foreach ($file in $fileList) { if($file.LastWriteTime -lt $now -and $file.LastWriteTime -gt $previousHour) { #Do the copy } } } DoCopy "C:\test" "C:\test2" but if I try to do the copy like that, it copies all the files directly into the destination folder rather than the subfolders.enter code here

  • Migrating Ruby Site from EngineYard to Heroku

    - by user410925
As part of a larger project I've been tasked with migrating some existing Ruby on Rails sites (built with an old version of refinerycms 0.9.6.34, at least that's the version listed in the Gemfile included with the source). I don't normally work with Ruby so I'm at a bit of a loss. The previous developers simply handed over the latest git dump as well as a db dump. I'm working first with trying to get the site up working locally on an Ubuntu 11.10 local machine before pushing up to at test Heroku install. If it's possible to just push directly to Heroku with the files they gave, then I can try that, but it's my understanding I need to get everything working and then use Heroku's tools to deploy. The previous devs said they're using ruby 1.8.7 so in Ubuntu I've done the following: aptitude install ruby1.8 ruby1.8-dev ruby1.8-full aptitude install rubygems1.8 I've restored the database and in the config directory I've made changes to the database.yml to point to the restored database. When I try and run "bundle install" from the root of the extracted source dir I get: Invalid gemspec in [/var/lib/gems/1.8/specifications/mail-2.4.4.gemspec]: invalid date format in specification: "2012-03-14 00:00:00.000000000Z" Invalid gemspec in [/var/lib/gems/1.8/specifications/tilt-1.3.3.gemspec]: invalid date format in specification: "2011-08-25 00:00:00.000000000Z" Invalid gemspec in [/var/lib/gems/1.8/specifications/mime-types-1.18.gemspec]: invalid date format in specification: "2012-03-21 00:00:00.000000000Z" Invalid gemspec in [/var/lib/gems/1.8/specifications/sass-rails-3.2.5.gemspec]: invalid date format in specification: "2012-03-19 00:00:00.000000000Z" Invalid gemspec in [/var/lib/gems/1.8/specifications/jquery-rails-2.0.2.gemspec]: invalid date format in specification: "2012-04-03 00:00:00.000000000Z" Invalid gemspec in [/var/lib/gems/1.8/specifications/mail-2.4.4.gemspec]: invalid date format in specification: "2012-03-14 00:00:00.000000000Z" Invalid gemspec in [/var/lib/gems/1.8/specifications/tilt-1.3.3.gemspec]: invalid date format in specification: "2011-08-25 00:00:00.000000000Z" Invalid gemspec in [/var/lib/gems/1.8/specifications/mime-types-1.18.gemspec]: invalid date format in specification: "2012-03-21 00:00:00.000000000Z" Invalid gemspec in [/var/lib/gems/1.8/specifications/sass-rails-3.2.5.gemspec]: invalid date format in specification: "2012-03-19 00:00:00.000000000Z" Invalid gemspec in [/var/lib/gems/1.8/specifications/jquery-rails-2.0.2.gemspec]: invalid date format in specification: "2012-04-03 00:00:00.000000000Z" Invalid gemspec in [/var/lib/gems/1.8/specifications/mail-2.4.4.gemspec]: invalid date format in specification: "2012-03-14 00:00:00.000000000Z" Invalid gemspec in [/var/lib/gems/1.8/specifications/tilt-1.3.3.gemspec]: invalid date format in specification: "2011-08-25 00:00:00.000000000Z" Invalid gemspec in [/var/lib/gems/1.8/specifications/mime-types-1.18.gemspec]: invalid date format in specification: "2012-03-21 00:00:00.000000000Z" Invalid gemspec in [/var/lib/gems/1.8/specifications/sass-rails-3.2.5.gemspec]: invalid date format in specification: "2012-03-19 00:00:00.000000000Z" Invalid gemspec in [/var/lib/gems/1.8/specifications/jquery-rails-2.0.2.gemspec]: invalid date format in specification: "2012-04-03 00:00:00.000000000Z" Fetching gem metadata from https://rubygems.org/....... • Advice needed- aweber form submission using curl?

    - by i need help
Advice needed for backend form submission to aweber and get response. Scenario When customer signup at my form, I will 1. insert the customer details into my own database, 2. send them a welcome email from my system, 3. at the same time I want the email to be added into aweber (this should run in the background, so that customer no need to fill in details for second time) If I use the php curl call alone, is it a good solution? I want to submit form value to aweber, so that aweber add the new email into their system, and then response to my backend script? I have seen many versions outside, which may include: http://scripts.incutio.com/httpclient/ http://freshmeat.net/projects/curl_http_client/ http://snoopy.sourceforge.net/ Are they having any special benefit over the normal php curl call to pass in data?

  • Flash video playing on top of everything else in IE7

    - by Brett
Hi everyone, I've been spending hours now reading up on IE7's issue with rendering Flash content on top of other elements, particularly navigation menus (this is often a problem with dropdown menus and Flash ad banners, for example). I've tried a few of the suggested solutions but none have worked for me so far. I'll do my best to explain the circumstances, and would appreciate any advice in the matter! Update At Mercator's request, I am providing a large code-sample to assist in any advice you might have. Consider the HTML below:

Page Title

Paragraph text before video.

Paragraph after video.

Sub-content.

Panel Link

– Panel Link

Revealed content

Below are the non-presentational CSS selectors that apply to the divs above: body { /*no positioning styles applied */ } #page-wrap { width: 100%; } #content-wrap { width: 960px; margin 0 auto; } #main { float: left; width: 573px; } .video-container { position: relative; width: 480px; z-index: 1; } #sub { float: left; width: 347px; } #content-clear { clear: both; } #foot-panel { position: fixed; width: 94%; bottom: 0; left: 0; z-index: 3000; } ul#main-panel { float: left; } The footpanel uses jQuery-powered flyout menus, if that provides any further context. These menus have z-indexes in the 300X range to appear above the footpanel. The Flash in question is JW player playing a flash video or mp4. Currently, the object and embed tags are inside a container div. My understanding of previous solutions was that the combination of the param changes and the positioning/z-index change on the container div should have resolved the issue. Alas, it is not so. The player resides on top of the footpanel. Other information that may or may not be helpful is that the page is XHTML 1.0 Transitional and that Dreamweaver reports 1 error in the HTML code: is not in the XHTML 1.0 specification. This fact does not prevent the video from being viewed in any browser tested, and the page still displays correctly in FF. Thanks in advance!

  • unable to connect to database on a networked drive

Hi, I'm trying to connect to an access database from a php script using ODBC. When I put the db on my local c: drive create a system DSN i can connect no problem, but when it's on the networked drive I get the error: Warning: odbc_connect() [function.odbc-connect]: SQL error: [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] '(unknown)' is not a valid path. Make sure that the path name is spelled correctly and that you are connected to the server on which the file resides., SQL state S1009 in SQLConnect in C:\wamp\www\suppliers\furniture.php on line 3 Ok so I'm guessing it's permissions somewhere anyone know specifically what/where? Thanks,

  • Fix for iframe calling location.href

    - by blcArmadillo
I'm trying to embed a mapquest direction page such as http://www.mapquest.com/maps?1c=Ann+Arbor&1s=MI&1a=1440+Hubbard+St&1z=48109-2083&1y=US&1l=42.293437&1g=-83.724491&1v=ADDRESS&2c=Ann+Arbor&2s=MI&2a=930+N+University+Ave&2z=48109-1055&2y=US&2l=42.278558&2g=-83.737969&2v=ADDRESS using an iframe. The problem is at least one of their javascripts calls location.href which is causing the script to hang. If I'm not mistaken this is because the page I'm embedding the page on is in a different domain. Are there any ways around this?

  • Facebook API - Get comments

    - by Simon R
Our business has a Facebook Fan Page. The fan page doesn't seem to generate any emails to us when updates are made to the page, whether someone adds a new status or someone comments on one of the statuses etc. Currently, we are running a very crude script to grab the content of the page and then use regular expressions to get the information we require. Obviously this is not fool proof and I'm looking into alternatives to this method. I've been looking at the facebook API and wonder if the rest server might be an option. I cannot, however, seem to find out how to return information of fan page statuses and their comments. Is anyone able to direct me how to use the API to retrieve this information. I am an admin of the fan page. The programming language I'm using is PHP. Many thanks.

  • Is it safe to use Select Top and Delete Top in sequence?

    - by Rob Nicholson
I often write T-SQL loops that look like this While Exists (Select * From #MyTable) Begin Declare @ID int, @Word nvarchar(max) Select Top 1 @ID=ID, @Word=[Word] From #MyTable -- Do something -- Delete #MyTable Where ID=@ID End Works a treat but I noticed the new Delete Top function which would be useful when #MyTable is just a list of strings. In this case, would this work: While Exists (Select * From #MyTable) Begin Declare @Word nvarchar(max) Select Top 1 @Word=[Word] From #MyTable -- Do something -- Delete Top(1) #MyTable End Well yes, it works in my test script but is this safe? Will Select Top 1 and Delete Top(1) always refer to the same record or is Top a little more vague. Thanks, Rob.

  • Execute PHP without leaving page

    - by Dylan Taylor
Okay. I have a form - textarea (named "su") and submit button. When the form is submitted, I need to run a PHP script without refreshing/leaving page "echo" or somehow print a return on the screen I'm pretty sure this works via some kind of ajax request thing. but I have no idea what I'm talking about. I'm not big on ajax or javascript, but this is a function i use very frequently and I'd like to learn how it works so I can implement it when i need to now and in the future. Like i said I'm uneducated with ajax or java. a quick example would be wonderful. thanks for taking the time to read!

  • Drupal Filefield won't upload javascript files?

    - by hfidgen
Hiya, I've got a site where individual pages might require some javascript or CSS files hooked into their heads. I'm trying to keep everything client side when it comes to managing this process, rather than getting on the FTP and sorting everything out in the code so I need to be able to upload css and js files. I've got CCK filefield up and running, and it works with css files, but it refuses to upload .js files. It instead seems to view every .js as ".js.txt" and then the file appears on the server as thisismyfile.js.txt Not ideal... Does anyone know how to work around this. Is it a mime type problem with Drupal or the server, or is Drupal set up to avoid script uploads and n00b hack attacks. Once the files are uploaded I intend to use PHP mode on the page or node to call drupal_add_css and drupal_add_js.

  • When will NAnt reach version 1.0

    - by sundar venugopal
I like Nant very much. I do a lot of scripting with NAnt. It is a great little tool. Since NAnt is pre 1.0, when problems occur, I often think if that it is a problem with NAnt itself, but this is not always the case. One funny example: After running the oracle scripts I parsed the log output to make sure there was no problem. I was testing this with a small log file and it was fine. I used the task to load the file contents to a string property and used a regex to search for errors. When I used this script for a large log file, I stopped getting the "build failed" message at the bottom, because I was printing the error messages. Because the "build failed" was hiding at the top, I thought NAnt crashed, but it worked fine. It would be better for NAnt to have a 1.0 release. Any reasons why not?

  • Using Fluent NHibernate in commercial application

    - by Paja
I want to use Fluent NHibernate in commercial desktop application, and I'm little concerned about the licensing. I've downloaded Fluent NHibernate precompiled binaries, and it contains this list of files: Antlr3.Runtime.dll Castle.Core.dll Castle.DynamicProxy2.dll FluentNHibernate.dll Iesi.Collections.dll log4net.dll NHibernate.dll NHibernate.ByteCode.Castle.dll I guess I will have to add all of these files to my Inno Setup script, which will install them on user's computer. But what should I do to comply to all of the licenses associated with each file? I'm sure I'm not the first who wants to use Fluent NHibernate in commercial application, so I hope I won't have to study each of the licenses. I'm not a lawyer.

  • prevent bots to query my database several times

    - by Alain
Hi all, I'm building an application that is a kind of registry. Think about the dictionary: you lookup for a word and it return something if the word is founded. Now, that registry is going to store valuable informations about companies, and some could be tempted to get the complete listing. My application use EJB 3.0 that replies to WS. So I was thinking about permits a maximum of 10 query per IP address per day. Storing the IP address and a counter on a table that would be empty by a script every night. Is it a good idea/practice to do so? If yes, how can I get the IP address on the EJB side? Is there a better way to prevent something to get all the data from my database? I've also though about CAPTCHA but I think it's a pain for the user, and sometime, they are difficult to read even for real human. Hope it's all clear since I'm not english... Thanks Alain

  • Update frequency for dynamic favicons

    - by rosscowar
I wanted to learn how to dynamically update the favicon using the Google Chrome browser and I've noticed that the browser seems to throttle how often you can update the favicon per second and that sort of makes things look sloppy. The test page I've made for this is: http://staticadmin.com/countdown.html Which is simply a scrolling message displaying the results of a countdown. I added an input field to tweak how many pixels per second are moved by the script and I've eyeballed the max to be about 5 frames per second smoothly in Google Chrome and I have not tested it in any other browsers. My question is what is the maximum frequency, are there any ways to change, is there a particular reason behind it? NOTE: I've also noticed that this value changes based on window focus as well. It seems to drop to about 1 update per second when the browser's window isn't in focus and returns to "max" when you return.

  • How to implement drag and drop in Flex Grid control?

    - by Bogdan
    I have a simple Grid control with some buttons that I want to be able to move around. The code below does work, but it takes a lot of effort to actually do the drag&drop and it is not clear where the drop will happen. I have to move the mouse around a lot to get to a state where the drop is not rejected. I would appreciate any suggestions on how to make this more "user friendly".  <mx:Application xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" layout="vertical" verticalAlign="middle" horizontalAlign="center" height="200" width="200"> <mx:Script>  import mx.containers.GridItem; import mx.controls.Button; import mx.core.DragSource; import mx.events.*; import mx.managers.DragManager; private function dragInit(event:MouseEvent):void { if(event.buttonDown) { var button:Button = event.currentTarget as Button; var dragSource:DragSource = new DragSource(); dragSource.addData(button, 'button'); DragManager.doDrag(button, dragSource, event); } } private function dragEnter(event:DragEvent): void { var target:GridItem = event.currentTarget as GridItem; if (event.dragSource.hasFormat('button') && target.getChildren().length == 0) { DragManager.acceptDragDrop(target); DragManager.showFeedback(DragManager.MOVE); } } private function dragDrop(event:DragEvent): void { var target:GridItem = event.currentTarget as GridItem; var button:Button = event.dragSource.dataForFormat('button') as Button; target.addChild(button); }  </mx:Script> <mx:Grid> <mx:GridRow width="100%" height="100%"> <mx:GridItem width="44" height="44" dragEnter="dragEnter(event)" dragDrop="dragDrop(event)"> </mx:GridItem> <mx:GridItem width="44" height="44" dragEnter="dragEnter(event)" dragDrop="dragDrop(event)"> </mx:GridItem> <mx:GridItem width="44" height="44" dragEnter="dragEnter(event)" dragDrop="dragDrop(event)"> <mx:Button label="A" width="40" height="40" mouseMove="dragInit(event)"/> </mx:GridItem> </mx:GridRow> <mx:GridRow width="100%" height="100%"> <mx:GridItem width="44" height="44" dragEnter="dragEnter(event)" dragDrop="dragDrop(event)"> </mx:GridItem> <mx:GridItem width="44" height="44" dragEnter="dragEnter(event)" dragDrop="dragDrop(event)"> <mx:Button label="B" width="40" height="40" mouseMove="dragInit(event)"/> </mx:GridItem> <mx:GridItem width="44" height="44" dragEnter="dragEnter(event)" dragDrop="dragDrop(event)"> </mx:GridItem> </mx:GridRow> <mx:GridRow width="100%" height="100%"> <mx:GridItem width="44" height="44" dragEnter="dragEnter(event)" dragDrop="dragDrop(event)"> <mx:Button label="C" width="40" height="40" mouseMove="dragInit(event)"/> </mx:GridItem> <mx:GridItem width="44" height="44" dragEnter="dragEnter(event)" dragDrop="dragDrop(event)"> </mx:GridItem> <mx:GridItem width="44" height="44" dragEnter="dragEnter(event)" dragDrop="dragDrop(event)"> </mx:GridItem> </mx:GridRow> </mx:Grid> <mx:Style> GridItem { borderColor: #A09999; borderStyle: solid; borderThickness: 2; horizontal-align: center; vertical-align: center; } Grid { borderColor: #A09999; borderStyle: solid; borderThickness: 2; horizontalGap: 0; verticalGap: 0; horizontal-align: center; vertical-align: center; } </mx:Style> </mx:Application>

  • Killing HTML nodes from shell

    - by hendry
Need a solution to kill nodes like
foobar
and

from many several HTML files. I want to dump a site to disk without the menus and footers and what not. Ideally I would accomplish this task using basic unix tools like sed. Since it's not XML I can't use xmlstarlet. Could anyone please suggest recipes, so I can ideally have a script running kill-node.sh 'div class="toplinks"' *.html to prune the bits I don't want. Thank you,

  • ASP.net Pop up Alert without page load

    - by Sunny
Hi, In ASP.NET -- I want to popup an alert window in the case of an event. I don't have a button, i do not load the page at that event. When I searched i got a lot of java script examples but I can't use them as they work either on a button click or on page load. I just want a pop window to come as soon as I capture a particular event. I keep checking for the events every 5 second, as soon as i capture one event, there is a switch case for the actions to follow according to the event captured. For one particular case, i need one pop up "Sorry" along with an OK button. Can someone tell me what to do. Thanks

  • asp.net mvc deployment

    - by Casey
I've been dealing with a legacy asp.net 2.0 web site that was originally setup to deploy everything (source uncompiled) to the target server. I've been looking at doing some major upgrades and want to move to asp.net mvc. I'm coming from mostly a Java background where we typically deploy everything inside of a Web ARchive (war file) and the application server takes it from there. Is there a similar concept in the .net world? Right now in my mvc test app, I just put the compiled code into the deployed bin folder and the rest of the script/view files there as well. From what I have been reading it seems that most use the Publish feature of VS.
